kingofchess: I Am Planning To Marry A Lady And This Happened. Pls Help
I am in my early 30 and I have been dating this lady for a year now and we are planning to settle down together and this happened.
There is this 11 months old baby in my compound who is very close to me and she just started walking. The very first time she saw my girl, she was soo scared and started crawling very fast towards her mum and crying. I quickly ran after her and carried her back to where my girl was sitting down, this time, the crying and running became very intense, I was shocked and I asked why the baby was so scared of her and she said she doesn't know.
Two days later, she came to my place and immediately this baby saw her she was scared and crying that was when I jokily asked her if she is a witch and she got angry and left my house. After she left, a lot of questions started running through my mind: like, is she a witch? Does she has a marine spirit? What did that little girl saw in her? In fact a lot of questions. She later called that same night and was like; baby, I am not possess ooh, I should not allow this little baby come between us ooh and that she loves me very much.
To cut the story short, less than two weeks later, the baby DIED. I was so scared if the baby actually saw something in her and she decided to shut the baby up ( I don't know, just an assumption).
Ever since then, I have been scared of my girl and I really don't know what to do. Please, I need your candid advice. Please guys, how can i make the moderators move this post to front page. This is a forum full of teens and youth, I'm worried for the future of this country, their thinking is so backward , warp and full of stupidity. Let me just hope that the reasonable and educated youth don't comment on this forum. |

owo8184: I am a young married man with 2 kids. The marriage is 6yrs now. Due to the situation of the country, we’ve not been staying together. I hustle in a University environment in one of the states in Southwest while she works as a freelance for some organizations in Lagos.
I normally come home (Lagos) on monthly basis. But during this lockdown, I have been in Lagos with my family.
Prior to our marriage, there is this guy she met when we had some misunderstanding. They started a date but later called it off when we settled. She didn’t give me the details but based on what I read on her phone back then, I knew they made out together. The said guy is now in Port Harcourt but I am aware he normally comes to Lagos.
Just today, I heard my wife giving someone a description of where they will meet somewhere in Agege (where she uses as her office). I was curious to know the person. I didn’t ask her because she would find a story to cover up. I found a way to check her phone and saw that her ex - the said guy was the one who called. May I say that we have fought over this guy several times even before and after our marriage. She won’t let this guy be in her past. She’s either calling the guy or the guy is calling her. This time, I chose not to raise my voice but monitor her closely. She left home for work today. I may not be able to give details but every surrounding clue indicates that my wife has a date today. She returned home and I found a way to check her whatsapp but alas she has deleted her chats with the guy.
Just this night again, she received a call from another man asking her when she would come to his office. She once told me that the man was asking her out. In all these, I want to believe my wife is up to something. Infidelity is the last I would accept in this marriage.
Should I confront her with all these observations? Please, I am confused. You are very funny! You came to a site full of secondary students and unmarried seeking for advice about your marital life. I think you better look elsewhere. More so, you are working yourself up on your own suspicion and unfounded evidence, is she also motoring you while your are far away? I will advice you to stop checking your wife phone. Your responsibility is to love your wife and provide for the family, leave the rest for God. |

Handsomejok: Before marrying my wife, my business was moving well. I had an appliances big shop with full of things. I made a lots of money monthly and was able to pay all my bills and take care of my single mother and siblings without fail.
Bbut since we got married, just two months and 5 days after our marriage, my shop caught fire. I have lost almost everything only managed to save some few things, had to pay for all the damages to my landlord (the shop owner ) I’m still owning him money and I’m now renting a small shop but things are not working.
I have so much debts to pay to so many people including my previous shop landlord, can’t afford a 3 square meals, can’t afford to pay house rent, can’t afford to pay my shop rent and we have moved to my parents house.
My wife is pregnant and due in April, we haven’t bought anything for the baby. I wish never met her in my life cos she has completely destroyed my life and I have nothing left. She is evil. Haven’t confronted her cos of her condition, don’t want to add more stress to her and am waiting for her to put to bed then I will confront her and chase her away. I will keep the baby with me so she can go with her child she had before we met. I just hate her so much and I want nothing to do with her anymore.

Politics › Re: Slapping Senator And Death Of His Wife by OOLUSEG(m): 6:46pm On Jul 08, 2019 |
emilas1979: SHOCKING: How the slapping senator abused and killed his ex wife Eucharia Ojukwu (Che Che) from Awka Etiti.
The sister to the deceased Eunice Tochukwu Ojukwu gave this report when she visited the Ikeja office of the Sun newspaper yesterday.
“I am the immediate junior sister of Eucharia Uche Ishiaku who was married to the man you all now know as Senator Elisha Abbo,” she declared. “His real name is Clifford Ishiaku, that’s the name we knew him till we saw the story on social media that he is now a senator.”
Without much ado, Eunice Ojukwu spilled the details.
According to her, the couple met sometime before 2009 and before they got married, he converted from Islam to Christianity. On September 26, 2009, they had their church wedding at a Catholic church in Mubi, Adamawa.
Months after, she took ill and thereafter was treating a regular ailment, not knowing that she had been infected with HIV.
“I got to know about her illness in 2012,” she said.
“On her sick bed, she told me everything that happened, especially how she got to know that she was infected with HIV.
She told me that she later discovered that her husband was already infected but held that information from her while they were dating. Unknown to her, he was going for treatment and was still sleeping with her without protection.
“It was destroying her system gradually and that made her sick.” Someone who observed the frequency of her illness had urged her to go for a general test. The Good Samaritan also paid for the test.
“This was how she found out that she was infected with HIV and that it was at a critical stage. When she confronted him with her result, instead of confessing, Senator Abbo battered my sister mercilessly.”
Ojukwu claimed the family got to know about the battering and made an effort to rescue their daughter from the toxic marriage. “We knew that he was raping our sister. He even tried to bring his friend so that both of them will sleep with my sister at the same time. She took a lot of stitches as a result of anal sex forced on her,” she said.
At a point, their father had contacted Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in Mubi, begging them to bring back her daughter.
“The day she finally left in 2012, Senator Abbo followed her to the motor park and created a scene. He wanted to drag her back but my father pleaded with the driver to ensure that my sister boards the bus back to our village in Anambra.”
Of her sister, she said: “She was a calm person who did not want to lose her marriage, so she kept the information to herself. There were several fights and when my sister calls me, I will plead with her to leave that man but she will refuse. She believed so much in that marriage until she was very sick. There was an instance where he battered her so much in their house in Abuja and dragged her out of the house naked. Anytime that he was beating her up, neighbours tried to intervene and he’d threaten them with a gun.”
She continued: “When they were in Abuja, he would dump her in the hospital for days, and no one would be there to give her food till the hospital alerted us and we’d send someone to her. We were in and out of the hospital for six months before she died in 2013. When my sister died, he called that he was going to deal with me that I was the one that killed my sister.”
She gave an insight into how her sister met him.
“Eunice said that they started dating during her National Youth Service Corps days in Nasarawa in 2008. He had worked for so many known politicians in the north. He visited their orientation camp and they met and became friends. When our sister came up with the story of marriage, my family kicked against it.
My family was against the marriage because they were not in support of inter-tribal marriage. We do not know much about the northerner and their culture. When she died and I posted it on my Facebook wall, her friends doubted it because Senator Abbo did not say anything about it on his Facebook wall.”
Saturday Sun wanted to know why she is coming out with the story now.
Eunice Ojukwu replied: “I want justice for my sister. In 2013, when my sister died, I posted it on Facebook and no one took it seriously. He was a nobody and I was the daughter of a nobody. Then social media was not as strong as it is now. All I want is justice, let no one be deceived by those tears, he is an evil man.”
In a face-saving video circulate on social media, Abbo had apologized to Nigerians over his shameful action, cutting a figure of a remorseful man.
Ojukwu warned: “We are used to that his crocodile tears, whenever he comes begging. Nigerians should not be deceived.”
Please fellow Nigerians, let us protest until this abusive, unfit leader faces justice for all his crimes. Copied. FAKE NEWS!!! |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Guardian UK: Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo's Rape Allegation Goes International by OOLUSEG(m): 4:20pm On Jul 02, 2019 |
Chriswazo: My best read on this episode;
COZA Rape Controversy & The Age of Social Lunacy by Dodoh Okafor
1. On what basis did hundreds of people abandon their morning chores this Sunday to go picket the premises of the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly Church in Guzape Area of Abuja and Lagos?
2. Because a certain woman alleged (without any scintilla of proof) that she was raped? Because 5 women said the Church Pastor had inappropriate sexual relationships with them? Or because Segun Awosika said he has "30" women willing to testify against the COZA founder in law court?
3. What really was the essence of the nasty, rowdy, uncoordinated protests? To embarrass the church? To humiliate the pastor? To get the pastor to step down?
4. Pray- are those protesters really interested in pursuing a strong campaign against rape or were they on a vendetta mission?
5. I do not know what other people may think but here's what I am convinced about: many of those who jumped into this rape issue are being manipulated, misled and used as pawns in a complex game of chess by those who are adept at using the media to manipulate the gullible.
6. The man who conducted the interview that sparked the outrage is a certain Chude Jideonwo- one of the many crafty revisionists Nair El Rufai, Bola Tinubu and their lackeys employed to market Buhari in 2015. You are entitled to your opinion but I am convinced by Jideowno's involvement that a lie is involved, that a campaign to hoodwink the masses has been set in motion and with what I know of social media- a mechanism for creating a media storm has been activated.
7. The lady is probably dishonest and no rational thinker should believe her without at least asking a few important questions. I consider her motive to be suspect at best- reason being- what does she intend to achieve by coming out to tell a story that sound poorly fabricated, lacking in substance and designed to bring opprobrium to a man she had a choice to either deal with or avoid.
8. Many would remember the old Igbo adage that can be simply translated to imply that a raging ocean cannot drown a man whose feet it did not see. Fact is- Mr Fatoyinbo never dragged or nailed the buttocks of any man or woman to his church. Anyone always had the option of walking away the minute you became uncomfortable with his body body language or suggestions.
9. Mr Fatoyinbo did not just see anyone and grabbed her by the waist neither is there any report that he ever saw anyone on the street and pulled his car by the roadside, pushed her side and "opened his zip"
10. To be certain, I am not one to support the violation of trust by anyone in authority especially people from whom much is expected. Pastors, priests, teachers, uncle's and aunties, office superiors and village elders have a great responsibility to carry themselves with dignity and restraint at all times.
11. I am not one to blame the victim but when forceful sexual acts keep occurring and the victim never summoned up the courage to report to anyone but rather submits herself whenever her molester comes around for me has a different interpretation.
12. To imagine that the said Busola Dakolo kept submitting herself to Mr Fatoyinbo, attending his church, singing in his Choir, and as I heard- allowing him to wed her tells an entirely different story. It does not add up. Mrs Dakolo in my estimation may not have told us the entire story or perhaps she is playing a terrible game.
13. It pains me to see Nigerians swallowing that story hook line and sinker because some known social media influencers bought into it. This says a lot about how we have deteriorated in our capacity to think and reason.
14. When did we sublet our thinking power to social media influencers and celebrities? If these men and women care so much about rape- why are they not protesting against the mindless rape and killing of women by fulani cattle rearer/terrorists across most states in southern Nigeria?
15. If they care about women, where were they when a certain Elizabeth Ochanya was raped to death by a man and his son? How much did today's sudden philanthropists donate to support the prosecution of the perpetrators of what undoubtedly is a grave act of wickedness?
16. How much social media awareness did they raise when Eunice Elijah was killed by a band of lunatics in Kubwa Abuja? Why are they not interested in seeing that those behind the dastardly act are brought to book?
17. Where am I driving to? Again to be clear: I would be eager to see rapists and other criminals or those who violate the trust of young girls prosecuted and made to serve their punishment. But I would do everything I can to stop the triumph of online mob action against an assumedly innocent man.
18. Accusation is never conviction. Speaking emotionally while being filmed does not amount to presenting a hard evidence before a court of law. Has social media replaced conventional courts or is there something I am unaware of? Aren't injured people supposed to take their matter to court?
18. Is Mrs Dakolo seeking for justice, revenge, emotional appeal, to create mischief or just to destroy Mr Fatoyinbo? What exactly is this all about? Blackmail or some publicity stunts because none of it is clear to me.
19. Again I ask: what was the protest about? Was the protest against Fatoyinbo or COZA? Shouldn't a protest against Mr Fatoyinbo happen in front of his house? Why did they go to disrupt church programs at COZA today? Shouldn't COZA and Fatoyinbo be separate entities? How come the so-called lawyers who lined up at Guzape today missed this point? So COZA should be brought down because a certain woman told a disjointed story to Chude on camera?
20. Why are people so silly? Where's Stephanie Otobo? Why did she stop regalling us with tales of how Mr Johnson Suleiman "raped" her in Jamaica?
21. I would conclude by advising everyone to be circumspect about what's presented on social media. Truth is- the social media in most cases is structured to weaken your capacity to think, steal your power of logical and deductive reasoning from you and what else? Make you a fool.
22. Buhari and his handlers understood that it is very easy to sell lunacy on social media and the leveraged it to come to power- Ill prepared, with a vindictive mindset and you know where that has landed Nigeria.
23. Interestingly - the same group that sold Buhari to Nigerians in 2015 are behind this Busola Dakolo rape tale. I insist that there's a whole lot more to this hullabaloo.
24. You ask- what of the other 1000 girls that also accused the pastor of rape? I reply with: when did public opinion become the basis of adjudication in matters that require sensitivity and tack? Remember millions of people have voted for Buhari since 2015. Does that confer on Buhari the administrative skill he does not have?
25. What else? Who remembers the women who came forward to accuse Brett Kavanaug of rape soon after he was nominated for a Supreme Court position? When are we picking the US Supreme Court?
Let me end with an advice: never sublet your thinking to anyone- especially people whose agenda you do not understand. Joblessness in action |
Education › Re: I Have Lost Interest In School by OOLUSEG(m): 10:32am On Jul 02, 2019 |
nointerestinsch: What you are about to read is the deluge from the heart of a broken National Diploma finalist in one of the Polytechnics in Nigeria. I am 20 years old. I have created a new account to share this, only my coursemates or people in my school would recognize me through this article.
The past week has been the most depressing week of my entire life; as much as I have been living with depression for the past few months, this week has been overwhelming.
I used to be the most-hardworking student I know. I was top of my class in ND 1. I ensured I finished all the textbooks of the courses we offered in each semester. In the euphoria of how well my hardwork paid off, my goal for ND 2 was to graduate with a Distinction, and top my class again. The way things panned out in my first year made me love how a student could be rewarded if the student puts in his or her best in studying.
Fast-forward to ND 2 first semester, I finished all the textbooks and made sure I understood the courses by self-testing and tutoring my colleagues – as usual. Our semester results are released at the beginning of the next semester. I never fret at the WhatsApp Broadcast of Facebook Post that a course result has been released. The first course (Entrepreneurship) result of last semester was pasted in the second week of resumption and I had a ‘CD’ – this was my lowest grade all through my stay in the school till date. I didn’t take it to heart as I didn’t study this course too well last semester and it was a 2-credit unit course. But then, one week later, the result for one of my courses (OO COBOL) was released. I had an ‘F’. To put this in perspective, this is one of the easiest programming languages out there. Plus, it is an outdated language – already says a lot about the standard down here. I and a few of my coursemates were the best at this course last semester. I personally was getting paid to help fill practical manuals. It was basically one of those courses I wouldn’t need to study for prior to an exam the next day. I had an ‘F’. I’m not ‘clouting’, but the best grades in this course ironically belonged to people who would not be able to write a simple “Hello World” program using this programming language. I completely broke down at the sight of my name trailing to an ‘F’ on the result sheet. I immediately persuaded the few “good students” who also got “F”’s and were sure they did well to join me and go make a case to our Head of Department (HOD). I represented the group and told the HOD that this is not what we expect for a course like this. I asked if we could see our marked exam answer sheets. Would you believe it? He said the answer sheets have not been submitted to him, and that if I want a remarking, I would have to pay N15,000 to the school management or the remarking panel (or whatever name they try to scam us with). I was disgusted at these revelations. I mean, how can I be charged 15k for me to just get a chance to prove myself? 15k? Just to see and prove my own exam answers? This is an educational institution, and not a law court or the police station. The HOD said he cannot do anything about it, that we only have the option of going to ‘see’ the lecturer.
The lecturer had on several occasions, after the exam, related to the entire class through the class rep that each student needs to pay at least 7k or else you would fail. I ignored all of those because I thought they were threats and believed I did more than enough to get at least a “B”. It eventually turns out the lecturer wasn’t blabbing about it. I don’t know how I would be able to face myself knowing I paid to get a grade in school. I am at a crossroad. I am lost.
This is my ordeal. I have absolutely lost any interest and passion for school. For real, what is the essence of all my sleepless nights? Sacrificing trendy clothes and sneakers for data subscription and materials to do research? When, in the end, a fellow that did not even attend lectures will have a better grade because he or she has money to give the lecturer? Is this the way it has been from way back? Or did the standard just drop so low? Why have these lecturers taken pride in extorting other people’s pockets and suppressing bright minds? Why have they used money to promote waywardness in higher institutions? Why is money the determining factor of student’s grades and not the student’s academic performance fueled by unwavering passion for studying and learning?
These and many more unanswered questions are the reasons why I have lost all interest in school and education. Nothing actually interests me now. School is a total waste of precious time. People party all semester and show up to sign attendance on the exam day, then pay money to the lecturer to pass. It’s all money, money and more money! All these pot-bellied bastards destroying destinies and killing dreams! Would they do this to their own children?
I want to speak up, but I can’t. I am depressed. I am discouraged. I am tired. I want to quit school.
Thank you for reading up! hug Don't give up, see it as one of the hurdles you need to overcome. QUITER NEVER WINS, AND WINNER NEVER QUITS. There are better days ahead. WHEN YOU GOING THROUGH HELL, YOU DON'T STOP! BUT YOU GO AHEAD UNTIL YOU COME OUT OF IT. Cheer up, Face it and Share your success story later. |

Hers may be for 50k, that's her worth. Others do it for N200 recharge card, that's their worth. Some even send theirs for free. And the funny part is that even those that sent their nudes just to become mere Whatsapp Admin are also forming sanctimonious by insulting her, they feel jealous that a lady like them would actually trade hers for an appreciable fee. That's how brainless they can be. They are all hoes. No responsible lady will stoop so low to embarass herself on social media for money.
M.C Galaxy, you are not to be blamed for the actions of one useless internet-whóre who is old enough to make her own decisions. THANK GOD!, AT LEAST WE KNOW NOW THAT YOUR MOTHER AND SISTERS HAS A PRICE TAG AND BRAINLESS , WHAT IS THEIR OWN ? IS IT A BOTTLE OF COCA-COLA OR SUYA ? |

Maybe God can save Ambode if he repents and apologises to the man of God he publicly shamed because of his wife! Why allow your wife to truncate your shining destiny as Lagos State Governor! Politics › Senate Resolution: What Abiola & Kingibe, Families Will Enjoy by OOLUSEG(op): 10:02pm On Jun 12, 2018 |
Senate resolution: FG may pay Abiola family, Kingibe over N400m
•KINGIBE TO BENEFIT MORE
GOING by the resolution of the Senate that the winner of June 12 1993 election, Chief Moshood Abiola and his running mate, Alhaji Baba Gana Kingibe, should be declared winners of the election and paid their entitlements, the Federal government may have to pay more than N400 million as compensation to the late Abiola’s family and Kingibe.
Both were the presidential candidate and running mate in the June 12, 1993 election that was annulled by the regime of former military President Ibrahim Babangida.
The Senate, at plenary on Thursday, resolved that Buhari should declare the duo ex-president and ex-vice president respectively and pay all entitlements due them.
Sunday Tribune conducted an investigation into how much the family of Abiola is likely to be paid as emoluments and entitlements duo in compliance with the resolution of the Senate.
According to the 2007 Remuneration Act for political officeholders, the president is entitled to an annual basis salary of N3,514,705, while the vice president earns N3,031,572.50.
Since the two officers are not entitled to monetisation of most of their allowances, they are only entitled to 50 per cent of their basic salary as hardship allowance, 10 per cent leave allowance, 250 per cent as constituency allowance and 300 per cent of basic as severance gratuity.
For Abiola, his emoluments for the four-year period of October 1, 1993 and September 31, 1997 will amount to N68,185,277 made up of: basic salary- N14,058,820; hardship allowance-N7,029,410; leave allowance- N1,405,882; constituency allowance- N35,147,050 and; severance gratuity- N10,544,115.
Kingibe, on the other hand, would earn N58,763,506.50 from: basic salary- N12,126,290; hardship allowance- N6,063,145; leave allowance- N1,212,629; constituency allowance- N30,315,725 and; severance gratuity- N9,094,717.
In addition, through Decree 32 of 1999, Nigeria commenced payment of entitlements to former presidents, their deputies and former parliamentary leaders.
This transformed into the remuneration of former Presidents, heads of Federal Legislative Houses and Chief Justices of the Federation (and other Ancillary Matters) Act of 2001.
In it, former presidents and heads of state were entitled to N4.2 million annually, while past vice presidents and past chiefs of general staff were entitled to N3 million per annum for their up-keep.
“As from the commencement of this Act, all former-Presidents and Heads of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (in this Act referred to as “former Heads of State”) shall be-(i) paid the sum of N350,000 per month as up-keep allowance; and (ii) entitled to the perquisites of office specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Act; and (b)Vice-Presidents and Chiefs of General Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (in this Act referred to as “former Vice-Presidents”) shall be- (i) paid the sum of N250,000 per month as up-keep allowance; and (ii) entitled to the perquisites of office specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Act.”
The Act also made provisions for domestic staff, security aides, vehicles and up-keep allowances for families of deceased presidents.
Since he died on July 7,1998, Abiola would not be entitled to an officer not below the rank of a chief administrative officer; a personal secretary not below Grade Level 12; three to four armed policemen; one Department State Service (DSS) officer not below Grade Level 10 as an Aide-de-Camp to be attached for life and paid by the State Security Agencies; three vehicles to be bought by the Federal Government and liable to be replaced every four years; and drivers to be paid by the Federal Government and other benefits.
Kingibe, however, will henceforth be provided with: an officer not below the rank of a chief administrative officer; a personal secretary not below Grade Level 10, two to three armed policemen; one DSS officer not below Grade Level 8 as an Aide de Camp to be attached for life and paid by the State Security Agencies; two vehicles to be replaced every four years.
He will also have drivers paid for by the Federal Government; free medical treatment for them and their immediate families within Nigeria; treatment abroad where necessary; 30 days’ annual vacation within and outside Nigeria at Federal Government expense; a modestly well-furnished and equipped office in any location of their choice in Nigeria; a well-furnished three-bedroom house in any location of their choice in Nigeria.
According to the 1999 law, amended in 2008 and 2010, remuneration of the former leaders shall be subject to review whenever there is an increase in the salary of the serving President and Vice-President; and the Federal Government shall in its annual budget make provision for the remuneration of former Heads of State and former Vice-Presidents.
Abiola’s family would be entitled to the payment of the sum of N1,000,000 per annum, which would amount to N18 million calculated since 1999 for the up-keep of the spouse and education of the children his up university level.
The money spent on education of his children still in school when he died would also be calculated and paid.
In 2008 and 2010, the Act was amended to give Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, (RMAFC) the mandate to fix remunerations of the ex-leaders from time to time in line with economic realities, especially whenever the salary of the serving President is raised. Federal Government also make provision for the remuneration of former heads of state and former vice-presidents in its annual budgets.
In the case of death, the family of an ex-president is entitled to the sum of N1 million per annum payable in the sum of N250,000 per quarter, and the deceased former Vice-President’s the sum of N750,000 per annum payable in the sum of N187, 500 per quarter. The allowances applied to the upkeep of the spouse and education of the children of deceased former leaders up to the university level. http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/senate-resolution-fg-may-pay-abiola-family-kingibe-over-n400m/

Crime › My Ex-boyfriend Raped Me Two Weeks After I Gave Birth –insurance Officer by OOLUSEG(op): 9:51am On Jun 02, 2018 |
A married 32 -year -old official at an insurance firm in Lagos , Chioma ( pseudonym) is at daggers drawn with a businessman in the state , identified as Orazu , over controversies surrounding alleged cases of rape and kidnapping . Chioma said Orazu was her ex - lover and allegedly raped her during a visit to her residence – a three bedroomed flat in the Alakuko end of Ogun State – two weeks after she was delivered of a baby boy . But Orazu denied there was any relationship between him and Chioma , claiming that the mother of three , her nephew, Kester , and her husband , Sanni , kidnapped him during a visit and demanded a ransom of N 10 m from his family . Chioma told Saturday PUNCH that she struck a relationship with Orazu , who is in his 50 ’s , in December 2008 at an event centre in the Nnewi South Local Government Area , Anambra State , while she was on holiday for Christmas celebration . The graduate of Lagos State University explained that the relationship thrived till sometime in 2010 when she acquainted Orazu of her intention to quit the relationship on the grounds that she was getting married to her pastor husband . She said the move did not go down well with Orazu , who allegedly insisted on marrying her. “I told him he was married already with children and I couldn ’t be his mistress forever . He threatened to deal with me if I married another man, but I didn ’t take his threat seriously . We are from the same local government but different towns – I hail from Ofumeyi while he is from Ukpor ,” she explained to our correspondent in a chat last Friday. Chioma stated that Orazu attended her marriage in December 2010 without any sign of animosity which made her to completely dismiss the threat , adding that she introduced him to her husband as her ex - lover at the event . “In January 2011 when my husband and I were back in Lagos , he called me several times . I told him the calling must stop because I am a married woman and I wouldn’ t want anything that would destroy my home . He stopped calling me until June 30 , 2015 , around 10 pm when he called again . Initially, I didn ’t know he was the caller because I had deleted his number. “We exchanged greetings and he jokingly said I would have had many children . I told him I just had my third child ten days earlier. When he offered to come and greet the baby , I told him I would need my husband ’s consent before he could come. When I told my husband , he said I should give him our address since there was nothing between us any longer . On Friday , July 3 , 2015 , I sent the address to him ,” Chioma , who is now heavily pregnant , recalled. The woman explained further that Orazu called her on July 4 and promised to visit the family the following day – Sunday . She said they waited for him until 5 pm when her husband left for church in Ijaiye , an uptown community in Lagos . The 32 - year - old said when Orazu finally knocked at the gate of their residence around 9 pm , she called her husband to ask if she should receive him at that time of the day. “My husband said I should let him in and that he was on his way home . We are the only family living in that compound and my nephew, Kester , who lived with us, had not returned from a tutorial class . He was preparing for GCE exams then. I asked the man why he came at such time . He said he went somewhere and that if he did not come that day ( July 5 ) , he might not be able to visit again . “As soon as I ushered him into the living room , he asked about my husband and I said he would be back soon . He said he cared for a soft drink and I went into my room to pick the money so I could send my first son , Victor , to buy it . Victor ( born through another relationship) was 12 then,” she added . She said she was rummaging through her wardrobe for some cash when she suddenly felt a grip from behind , noting that as she turned back to ascertain the source of the force , she saw Orazu . Chioma explained that she questioned his mission in her bedroom, but the businessman boasted he was set to punish her for dumping him . In a split second, they were reportedly entwined in a physical contest . “Before I knew what was happening, he raped me right in my bedroom. Victor rushed in while I was shouting , but he could not stop him . I was bleeding when he went to the bathroom to clean up . That was when my husband entered . “The moment he saw my husband , he wanted to force his way out , but my husband stopped him . Kester also came in at that time and they both beat him up . Soon , his wife called him to know where he was . He told her he was in Surulere. My husband collected his phone, put it on speaker and explained what happened to the wife . The wife exclaimed , ‘Tobechukwu ( Orazu ’s middle name ) , you again !’ “We asked him to call his family to come so they could see what he did . If you are from Nnewi South , once you are married , you must not have sex with any other man. If you do so without performing cleansing afterwards , the woman ’s husband will die . The man knows this because he is a title holder in his village . He called one of his younger sisters , Ijoma on the phone. The sister lamented that it was not the first time he would do such a thing and she initially disowned him ,” Chioma narrated . She said Ijoma and other relatives of Orazu called in to beg her husband and offered to pay a sum of N 300 ,000 for the cleansing . The insurance officer said she advised her husband to ignore the entreaties and report the incident to the police but he declined , saying it would result in stigma . The mother of three claimed that Orazu suggested to stay with the family pending when Ijoma would pay the money . “He said the sister would not pay if he left our house . We did videos and audio recordings of the scene and took pictures with our phones for future purposes . We asked Kester to release his bank account into which Ijoma paid the money because the culture forbids my husband from touching the money . “He left our house on July 8, after the sister paid the N300 , 000 . For days, I could not stand upright and was ashamed to tell our doctor what happened . I insisted Orazu would follow us to the village for the cleansing but he begged my husband not to expose him being a title holder . We travelled to the village and spent N 250 ,000 on the cleansing and travelling . “On July 30 , 2015 , we returned to Lagos while Kester went to Benin ( Edo State ) to see his parents. The following day , my husband went to Seme for a church programme ,” she added . Chioma told Saturday PUNCH that she just finished preparing breakfast for her children on Saturday, August 1 , 2015 , when three SARS officers came to pick her up with a promise that she would be released as soon as her husband turned himself in . Orazu ’s family had allegedly reported to SARS that the couple kidnapped him and demanded a ransom. She said she was shocked when she met Kester outside handcuffed in a car brought by the operatives, adding that they threw her into the vehicle together with her baby and drove them to the SARS office at police command headquarters in Ikeja . “Their boss said my husband was a kidnapper. The Investigating Police Officer, one Mr . Alex , collected my phone and Kester ’s as well as the pictures I printed out from my phone. “He asked me to write a statement. I wrote the same statement five times but he tore them . He slapped me and beat me up . He asked me to write that my husband kidnapped Orazu and demanded N 10 m ransom. I said I would not write such because the man raped me ; he only turned the case against us because my husband did not report to the police. After several threats , the IPO forced me to write what he wanted . “Ijoma who was also at the SARS office that day told Orazu that the case was off her hands ,” she said . The woman told our correspondent that she bled and became unconscious inside a cell she was kept with her baby , adding that she was revived at the police hospital in Ikeja . She said even though her husband reported at SARS office on Monday morning when he came back from the church programme , she was not released as promised. “On Thursday , my husband , Kester and I were arraigned in court . Kester was 16 years old then but the police lied that he was 18 . We were granted bail and remanded in Kirikiri prison , which was another world entirely . I was there with my baby . “The warders asked me to bring my son to the prison clinic every day after bathing him . It was the Comptroller of Prison then that took interest in my case when she saw my baby in the clinic . I had spent about three months in the prison before my family knew about the matter and perfected my bail conditions . “My child contracted a disease in the prison , which made him to have difficulty with breathing . It was a Reverend Father that later assisted in paying for his medical treatment after I left the prison . Till now , he still suffers a relapse occasionally ,” she added . Sanni , 38 , who confirmed his wife ’s account to our correspondent , said he first met Orazu during their wedding in 2010 . He explained that his second encounter with him was when he visited his wife in 2015 . The pastor said , “Whenever I came back from church , I would do praise -worship in the living room and my wife and children would join me . I was there when Victor came to tell me that a man assaulted his mother . At that time , the man was coming out of the bathroom tying my towel around his waist. “As I was holding him , Kester came in from where he was attending tutorials . I beat him for returning home late because he was supposed to be back latest by 7 pm . We both vented our anger on the man and beat him up . ” Asked why he did not report the alleged rape to the police, the Imo State indigene said he had to forgive Orazu after his family said he was hypertensive and could die in custody if arrested . He stated that he succumbed to the pressure from Orazu ’s family and provided food for him throughout “the time he volunteered to stay in our house .” Narrating his experience in police custody, Sanni said , “They slapped me and hit my head with a plank . They tortured me and asked me to write a statement. They tore the one I wrote and started dictating what to write to me . They threatened to shoot me if I refused to comply . Kester and I left the prison on December 18 , 2015 after spending about five months there . ” However , Orazu , who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone , said he never dated Chioma and debunked the rape allegation. He said he met the woman sometime in 2013 when she came to seek financial assistance from one of his younger sisters in the village so she could rent an apartment in Lagos . The chief said he was not in touch with Chioma until July 2015 when she called him and requested that he visit her in the apartment she purportedly rented with the money . Orazu said , “She is lying . They kidnapped me and demanded N10 m ( ransom) . SARS caught them . They kidnapped me in their residence . She was travelling to greet her people in the East to get money to rent an apartment in Lagos when some people she met in the bus told her about my sister and she collected her address. “I was in my sister ’s place that day when she came with a baby . I directed her to where my sister was . She told my sister she was homeless and my sister gave her money . After two years , she wanted me to see the house she rented with the money my sister gave her and I went there . Then, they kidnapped me and demanded N10 m ransom. I was in the place for five days . “They stripped me and beat me up . My family reported to SARS . They asked my family to send money into the account they provided . The SARS placed a red alert on that account . The boy ( Kester ) wanted to withdraw the money when the bank alerted the policemen on duty who arrested him . The police then called SARS in Lagos to pick the boy . My family paid N 300 ,000 into the account. It is a serious matter and it is already in court . They did not give me food throughout the period they kidnapped me . ” When contacted for enquiries on the N 300 ,000 paid into Kester ’s account , Ijoma said the matter was in court and asked this reporter to stop calling her . “If you want to know anything about it , go to the court and find out . Don ’t call this line again , please,” she said . In a chat with Saturday PUNCH , Kester said on his arraival from the tutorial class that day, he heard a noise as he was about to enter the apartment which prompted him to dash in . “I met my aunt naked while my in -law was struggling with the man who was also naked . When I knew he had raped my aunt , I joined my in - law to beat him . My aunt and I decided to involve the police and he started begging . He said he was a chief and if the news of his arrest got to the village , he would lose his title . My in -law is a soft - minded person ; he bought into the plea. “The man personally suggested that his family would pay for the cleansing and he stayed in the house voluntarily for a couple of days until the money was paid into my account . He was not kidnapped, ” he said . Kester stated that he had gone to a bank in Benin to withdraw money for his fare back to Lagos after the cleansing when he was apprehended . Narrating the alleged torture he was subjected to in SARS custody, he broke into tears, lamenting that the IPO smashed a plank on his leg to extract statement from him . “Then I was 16 and I told him ( the IPO) my age . He said I was lying and tortured me to write that I was 18 . The scar of the injury he inflicted on my leg is still there ,” he added tearfully . Chioma ’ s son , Victor , said he was playing with his immediate stepbrother, while the newborn baby was asleep when Orazu entered, adding that he retired to his room with the stepbrother. He said , “I was in my room when I started hearing a noise from my mother ’s room . I went there and met the man naked , forcing himself on my mum . She was also naked. I found condoms and some drugs he brought in . I shouted and asked him to leave my mum . He asked me to shut up and pushed me away . I didn ’t know what to do to him . I was shouting ‘leave my mum ’ when my dad came in . A few minutes after, my brother , Kester , also entered. They beat the man. He was crying and begging my dad for forgiveness . “2015 is the worst year of my life. When my mother was arrested , I thought she would come back in the evening . Two days after , we did not see her and didn ’t hear from anybody . My stepbrother was about two years then . We were going from street to street for three months begging for food . I could not cut my hair . We were afraid to go home ; we slept in the bus at night . It was difficult for my mum to recognise us when she came back from the prison because we had become lean . ” Our Correspondent gathered that the Office of the Public Defender , Lagos State Ministry of Justice , and a rights group , Esther Child ’s Rights Organisation, are following the case up at Ogba Magistrate ’s Court . The Coordinator of the organisation , Esther Ogwu , said , “As a human rights group , we are worried about the harrowing experience the family went through as a result of this case . We are working with the OPD to ensure that they get justice .” The OPD Director, Mrs . Olayinka Adeyemi , confirmed that the agency ’s lawyers were representing the family in court . She said , “The first prosecution witness has been cross - examined and the case is for continuation of trial on June 21 . We are representing all the defendants – the pastor , the wife and the nephew. We will give our best to make sure they are let off the hook. ” The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer , SP Chike Oti , said the command was able to establish the kidnap allegation against the family and denied the claim of using force to extract statements from them . He said , “In every case reported to the police, what the police try to find out is whether the person reported against actually carried out the act . We call it actus reus. Secondly, the police try to find out whether the person reported against had the intention to carry out the act against the complainant . When the police find a nexus between intention and the act and they are able to establish prima facie evidence against the suspect , it is incumbent upon the police to charge the matter to court for adjudication. “In this case , the whole ingredients that constitute the offence of kidnapping are complete . First , somebody was held within a circumscribed limit , depriving him illegitimately of his right to freedom of movement. Secondly, they demanded and received a ransom in exchange for his freedom . From my earlier description of what the police look for in a case , it is clear that there is a nexus between intention and the act . “It is immaterial why they kidnapped the man; what matters is that they kidnapped him . The allegation of torture is an afterthought and a ploy to smear the names of the police as an institution and the detectives that diligently investigated and charged the case to court .” Copyright PUNCH . |
Christianity Etc › Gospel Singer Kicks As Pastor Demands $54m To Buy 4th Aircraft by OOLUSEG(op): 4:21pm On May 31, 2018 |
Popular American Gospel Singer, Kirk Franklin has frowned at a request by a pastor, Jessie Duplantis for donations to buy his fourth air plane at the cost of $54 million.
Duplantis is an Evangelical Charismatic Christian Minister based in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, and the founder of Jesse Duplantis Ministries. The “Thank you’’ hit maker took to his instagram @kirkfranklin to express his sadness with the picture of 68-year old Duplantis.
“This is Jessie Duplantis, a televangelist who has four planes, and is now telling us that “Jesus’’ wants us to buy him another one.
“ I’m posting this because now that we see popular culture stand up to the injustices in mainstream society, I believe the church should do the same for its own as well.
“WE should take the lead when there is an abuse of power that affects our message to the masses; our silence can be as loud as the bigotry and racism we see in the public square.
“Many of these “ministries’’ built their wealth on the backs of poor rural minorities that put their trust in the hands of “God’s shepherds’’ only to see the prosperity benefit those doing the preaching.
“Again, there are GREAT Christian leaders, and there is NOTHING wrong with having a plane… but if the burden falls on the less fortunate and GREED is the check written by those drowning in socio-economic rivers of systemic disparities, GOD is not flying that plane,’’ he wrote.
The 48-year old song writer, Choir director and author is known for leading urban contemporary gospel choir such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew.
He has won multiple awards including 12 Grammy awards.
The Texas born artist also featured in movies which include “Joyful Noise’’, “The Gospel’’, “Something to say About’’ and many others. (NAN) |
