Nowenuse:At this stage in my life, me I don't live in self denial again oh. A problem recognized is a problem half solved. It's just like when women live in self denial, you will hear them telling their boyfriends things like, "He is just a friend" "We are just friends" "He just took me out for shopping" "I just used to watch movies at his place" "we just chat all the time, that's all, nothing is happening".....before u know it, dey don spread legs for the same person that they claimed was "just a friend". How do I know? It's because me too I have been labelled as "just a friend" but i was choppin d pomo . |
This matter is beyond condolences, the Ondo State government should step in and foot the bills of all the injured and provide financial assistance for them like N2m each depending on the severity of their injuries and also give at least N15m naira each to the families of the deceased people. A pregnant woman and 2 children = a family has been wiped out. The tragedy is beyond mouth condolences abeg. This are the kind of cases where people should feel the direct impact of government |
Me I'm just waiting for any Southerner that will tell me Atikulate in 2023. Na thunda go fire u |
Superpower:Of cuz I would love to. But not everyone can afford to buy new phones all the time when you have other critical responsibilities. Some phones I bought new, some I bought uaed. The phone I'm using to type this, I bought it used. I always try to do due diligence to the best of my ability but I still pray God don't let me buy phone that is associated with crime. Even these phone shops are not safe. Imagine this guy now, he is a phone repairer. He bought the phone to re-sell. He didn't know it was a phone associated with a major serious crime of murder. Assuming police had not arrested him soon after buying the phone, the guy would have sold it to unsuspecting innocent buyer that went to his phone shop to buy phone. And that innocent buyer too will be sitting down with handcuffs among these poeple. This life ehn, may God deliver us from evil. |
P1PrinceKT:Like you called for this guy's death bah? I'm pretty sure i remember the date when Muslims called for his death, it was in 15 December, 200imagination.........Yeah right! I guess the tweet was not an insult to Jesus, it was a compliment. See at this stage in my life, I know left from right, nobody can deceive me again.

shegsrules:They are quiet because they agree with what's going on, they are closet fanatics, it is not about interests or politics. Although it is impossible to happen and can never happen but let's just assume and imagine it's the other way around and it was a person being sentenced to death in the South for insulting Jesus. People like Atiku and Hell Dubai will be among the first to rush to Twitter and be forming activists and human rights defenders. Then some mumu naive Southerners will be shouting Atikulate 2023, mtchwwwwwww! That's why I have deep respect for Northern leaders like Yaradua, Abacha, IBB etc, they were very plain and straightforward. They were not snakes. You will know where they stand, they don't hide. But these Northern elites of today, they will say, "They Condemn terrorists and killings" in the day time, then go behind and sponsor Boko Haram and bandits at night. May God continue to deliver us from wicked souls |
I can't say which one is my greatest football moment because it is many, but the worst football moment was the 2005 Ac Millan VS Liverpool UCL finals and AC Milan was leading 3 :0 and under 8 minutes to go, Liverpool score 3 goals to equalize and still win the match by penalties. That was d day I abandoned Seria A. The heartbreak b like earthquake ![]() |

abbey621:if you get extra visa, quote me abeg. Me sef am ready to japa anytime Ayilara1:@ Legendhero: can u see what I'm saying about the assimilation going on in the Southwest now? Is "Ayilara" not a Yoruba person? Las las, southwest sef go divide into 2 cuz some southwesterners are heading in the direction of fanaticism. If the Southwest leaders like, they should fold their arms and continue living in denial of this reality. |
Anytime I want to buy used phone, I used to pray serious prayers to my God, may I never buy stolen phone, may I never buy phone that was gotten from murder, Amen. Buying stolen phone ignorantly is a one way ticket to jail for a crime you know nothing about |

abbey621:See I'm not disputing it with you, You don't have to tell me. I already know. I know Buhari regime is a useless regime, I know Buhari regime is a disaster. But so far Buhari regime is still occupying Aso Rock, then Nigerian citizens must continue to knock on the door of his bedroom till he opens the door and answer us. I have no business with SANs and lawyers in Kano not rushing to help that man, I have no business with Kano government saying they will sign his execution. They are not the FG of Nigeria. My business is with Buhari regime that is the FG of Nigeria, and Buhari regime MUST help his citizen regain his freedom. If Buhari regime like, let them be 99% useless, but we will never allow them to be 100% useless. Even if na 1% service to perform their constitutional duty we can get from him, we will squeeze out the 1%. The mama wey say him baby no go suck breast, that mama sef no go sleep. We go cry till Buhari regime comot breast from bra for us to suck and enjoy our fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of Nigeria. Buhari regime, we go suck your breasts till our cheeks grow fat whether you like it or not, na our right as citizens. |
LegendHero:See you are very correct and I used to share this your views too, until recent events upgraded my perceptions. As for North, let's face the facts, can anybody in the 80's ever believe that the North can turn to a region where Northerners themselves will turn to suicide bombers and terrorists that will be destroying cities, destroying military barracks and fighting war with the military like it is happening now? The signs were there since the 70's that the North was heading in that direction, but people generally dismissed it like you are doing now that it can never get to that point. But that's what happens when we forget history, because if we had not forgotten the history of Uthman Danfodio era then we should know the foundation was still there and hibernating and the wrong steps could wake up those ideas of national religious conquest again that went to sleep in the wake of a new era. Now, look at the North today. A region known for calm and tranquility that it had attained after a dark era of bloodletting is now back to the era of bloodletting. The Southwest may not be as fragmented as the North in terms of oneness of tribal identity but I am telling you that the bond the Yoruba ancestor has among themselves and community is getting weaker and not like before again. Slowly, fanatic groups like MURIC are creeping in, don't they have followers, don't they have youths they are schooling and influencing and teaching their fanaticism to? The Yusuf guy that started Boko Haram, that was how he used was a preacher in his sect too, and slowly they grew into what the Nigerian Army has not been able to conquer in over 10 years, a whole army of the country oh, not like they are fighting against a single agency like LASTMA or Civil Defense. The Armed Forces of the federal republic itself. So, it's better the southwest leaders start taking conscious decisions and take deliberate precautionary actions to guide its people away from that path, and instill the ideology of their ancestors into the youths that Tribe before religion, so that the southwest won't end up like the North. |
abbey621:The FG has NOT agreed with them and CANNOT agree with them. NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION: Section 15. (1) The motto of the Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress. (2) Accordingly, national integration shall be actively encouraged, whilst discrimination on the grounds of place of origin, sex, religion, status, ethnic or linguistic association or ties shall be prohibited. (3) For the purpose of promoting national integration, it shall be the duty of the State to: (a) provide adequate facilities for and encourage free mobility of people, goods and services throughtout the Federation. (b) secure full residence rights for every citizen in all parts of the Federation. Section 38. (1) Every person shall be entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others, and in public or in private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance. Section 33. (1) Every person has a right to life, and no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life, save in execution of the sentence of a court in respect of a criminal offence of which he has been found guilty in Nigeria. We will write this for [s]all to read. Anyone, soldier or not that kills the Fulani takes a loan repayable one day no matter how long it takes[/s] Buhari regime to read, that Buhari regime should not be a useless regime and should speedily rise and act in defense of a Nigerian citizen who has been arrested, detained and sentenced to die in a brazen violation of his fundamental human rights as a Nigerian citizen. |
LegendHero:my brother let's not shake this table of religious excesses because na every religion for this Nigeria dey on top the table. The way you are saying Jehovah witness used to come and preach at your house even though they know you are a Muslim, is the same way I can tell you that for the last 20 years for this Lagos, na Mosque dey wake me up by 5AM, even though the area is not a Muslim prayer ground. The loudness of their speakers no b here. Even Muslims too have their own way of doing evangelism and reach out to people, but it's not just as invasive as some Christian groups do their own. Even me that I am a Christian i dey dodge some Christian groups when I see dem for road cuz dem no dey let person rest. If I dey pass I see you wear green apron, I don automatically decode say dis wan na Chosen, my brain don dey calculate how to dodge u straight before u come and be following me like shadow with fliers. But long and short of it, all religions in Nigeria are guilty of it, even the Traditionalists dey flex muscle too. Yes, its true many southern public schools generally lean towards Christian practices, because Christianity generally is the prevalent culture in the south and the schools are mostly managed by people that lean in that direction. But government schools as far as I know try to balance things and keep it neutral. But same way you were singing Christian songs in the school assembly is the same way it is for Christians that found themselves in the North and their own experience too is that of a society that leans towards Islamic practices and beliefs. So it is not an exceptional or exclusive event. The one I am talking about is assimilation. It is assimilation that breeds fanaticism. The result of assimilation is what you are witnessing in the North. Many years ago, I drove from Lagos to Bauchi all by myself, nobody with me, I had never been there before, I drove in the night, no single fear because the North was a region of peace. I have driven to Abuja from Lagos countless times around 2am, 3am I go dey road, all by myself. I will leave Lagos 10 or 11pmi will drive all night to Abuja, nobody but me, my radio and my God and I never once felt fear on the steering. I have driven to Jos, Plateau. There was a time I had a girlfriend in Kogi, so I will shuttle between Lagos and Kaaba, driving alone by myself. I have driven to Kaduna many times. In short, between North travelling South South, North was safer for me. Who born monkey wey I go drive night journey enter Port Harcourt. Na for Benin by pass action movie don dey start. Even going Benin sef, if he don reach like 10pm, na to park for Okada wait till day break before journey continue make person no go jam Alibaba and the 40 thieves for night. But all that is gone now. North is not like North before again because of assimilation. Assimilation is already happening southwest too. It's not just at the level of the North yet |
abbey621:I understand you clearly but I don't agree with that notion or perception that nothing can be done about it. The Kano people can govern themselves anyhow they like but they cannot execute a Nigerian Citizen that has chosen to exercise his fundamental rights granted to him by the Constitution and they cannot execute a Nigerian citizen contrary to what the Constitution of Nigeria dictates as permissible. But I agree with you, that Buhari regime is a very useless and hopeless regime, but as useless as this regime is, we must still speak up and let our voice wake up this useless regime to do its responsibility. Buhari presidency cannot be eating billions of naira as food budget alone every year and be 100% useless. No, we will voice out, so they can do their duty even if na because they are tired of our nagging. Because injustice against one is injustice against all; and injustice allowed somewhere is injustice allowed everywhere. Today it is Kano, if we keep quiet, tomorrow it might be Lagos. When Hitler was rounding up the Jews and taking them to concentration camps, the Germans said nothing and did nothing. Hitler's powers continued to rise until one day, it was not only the Jews that were been hunted to be thrown inside concentration camps to be slaughtered, later even Germans themselves were being hunted when Hitler declared that German's with disability or physical qualities that fell short of his idea of what a perfect human being should be like. By that time, it was too late. So the evil we allow to hunt others today, is the same evil that will hunt us too tomorrow. |
LegendHero:What Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) is doing in the North is exactly the same thing, THEY WANT TO PRACTICE THEIR RELIGION, and they want an exclusive land and territory for themselves where they can practice their religion exclusively without interference from nobody. So, na from small small fanaticism dey start till it grow to that level. Na egg dey turn to chicken, na seed dey turn to jungle. |
abbey621:It doesn't matter if the people accept it or the Kano State government accepts it, we still have a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, and since the guy being declared guilty and sentenced to execution for exercising his fundamental right of freedom of speech granted to him by the Highest LAW of the land which is the Nigerian Constitution and does not accept the Sharia sentencing, it is the DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA to exercise all the powers of the NIGERIAN STATE vested in its hand to EFFECT THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE of that man. Because first and foremost, that MAN IS A NIGERIAN CITIZEN BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. He is a Nigerian citizen before being a Kano indigene. It is because Nigeria exists that Kano State as a legal territory exists. Nigeria gave Kano State it's legal identity as a legal entity and jurisdiction. Kano state exists inside Nigeria, Nigeria doesn't exist inside Kano State, so therefore it is Kano state that must dance to the tune of the Nigerian Constitution Law, not other way around. |

LegendHero:I have lived 90% of my life so far in the southwest. Did the southwest used to have agitation for wearing hijab in schools before? Such things were only applicable to Muslim schools like Ansarudeen etc. When I was growing up, Ansarudeen no far from my house, like 1 street away. I used to enter there sometimes, when we children dey play for street, those imams no dey discriminate, they treat all of us like their own children. As at then, the religious schools wey dey reign for Lagos na Our lady of Apostle, Wesley Girls, Methodist Girls and Reagan etc for Christians; and then Ansarudeen and Anwarudeen etc for Muslims... wey I know. Private and government schools did their things without religous interference or fanaticism approach. All through out my schooling, nothing like say hijab for school. Is that the same thing today in the southwest? Is there no agitation for religous interference, is that not an evidence of fanaticism growing? When I was growing up, in the southwest nothing like differentiation or discrimination, nobody carry religion for head, so far you are Yoruba, you are seen as One and the same, even outsiders self, so far you don belong for the area. We laugh together, live together, play together, enter eachother houses, do everything like one big extended family. But now, there is a lot of subtle religious discrimination going on. When I was growing up, when Muslims see you and they want to greet, they will say, Ekaro, or Ekale or Eka san etc depending on the time of the day and the talk will flow from there. But now, fanaticism is rising and religous discrimination is working in the background, when Muslims see you, they will say Asamalekun, because they wanna know if you are Muslim or not, and from there, if you say Malekun wa Salam, they will warm up to you as an insider, but if your reply is hanging, they will know this one is an outsider and stylishly treat you that way, they will now change the greeting to a normal style, Eka to, but they have already marked you down as an outsider. So I know what I'm saying. Not to now mention for person wey no bw Yoruba by tribe. Gradually, the Southwest is going the way of the North. The Southwest in 2020 is where the North was in 1980 in terms of religious assimilation and fanaticism. But they are heading in the same direction. Was the North always this fanatic? No! Many of my ancestors were born and lived most of their lives in the North. My grandmother, God rest her soul, you no go ever know say the woman no b Northerner. Because everything about her is just like an Hausa person. She speak Hausa pass hausa people sef. She lived in the North for about 45 years. From 1920 to around 1967. And she will tell us stories of life in the North. |
abbey621:Oga by your very own logic, you have invalidated your own comment. Kano State in under Nigerian territory and under Nigeria's sovereignty. Nigeria has a Constitution, and the Constitution of Nigeria is the highest law and the FUNDAMENTAL LAW in the land, that supercedes any other supplementary laws. Sharia law is a supplementary law, it is a secondary law and wherever Sharia law and Nigeria Constitution law clash or oppose one another, it is the Nigeria Constitutional law that must be followed and obeyed and Sharia law will be set aside and ignored. The Nigerian Constitution gives every citizen the right to live in any part of the country, subject to the Constitution of Nigeria. So what do you mean by "citizens who do not wish to abide by the law should not live there"? What do you mean by "The law being practiced in Kano is Sharia", are you trying to tell me that the Nigerian Constitution as a law does not function or have jurisdiction of operation in Kano State? Does Sharia law supercede the Constitution? Mtchwwwwwww |

Eriokanmi:7 countries. Southwest will divide into 2, because in the long run what is happening in the North now will happen in the southwest too. North into 2. SS, SE and Middlebelt. Na this formula go bring peace. |

LegendHero:fanaticism has started in Southwest too and MURIC is a proof of this, and if not curtailed fast, in another 15 to 20 years, you will start seeing terrorists in the Southwest too. Southwest fanaticism level right now is where the North was in the early 1980s, while the North has advanced to terrorism levels since early 2000. In the next 15 to 20 years, the North will have advanced to Afghanistan Alqaeda + Hezbollah + ISIS levels and that place will be another terrorism empire like Yemen, and a war zone like Syria. But if Southwest is not checked on time, in another 20 years, they will have advanced to where the North is today. |

GEEBITE:Beko was into activism, he publicly spoke against Abacha govt but he was never a coup plotter. During the Abacha coup arrests, so many innocent people that knew nothing about the coup were roped in, Abacha used the coup as an excuse to capture many of his critics who had nothing to do with the coup and were just framed up by govt |
That's how a good government should do to their citizens. You reach out and visit to them in the time of trouble, and make a difference, not audio promises. |
