Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) on Sunday called on the Federal Government to withdraw the ‘looters list’ which was released last week. The group, in a statement signed by its Director, Adetokunbo Mumuni, alleged that the Federal Government’s list is selective and therefore should immediately withdraw it and come up with a comprehensive list. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed had on Friday released a list of some of those who have allegedly looted the nation’s treasury, a list which contains mostly PDP chieftains. SERAP said this list is political and can diminish President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption. “The Federal Government should immediately withdraw the clumsy, arbitrary and selective looters’ list, released last week. The list would seem to serve a political objective or carry out political agenda. “This kind of action can only diminish the government’s ability to fight corruption, allow suspected perpetrators, whether from the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP)to escape justice, and ultimately, deny victims of corruption justice and effective remedies. The authorities should withdraw the looters’ list and come up with a comprehensive list,” the statement read in part. SERAP in the statement claims that allowing the published looters’ list to stand will undermine the credibility of the government’s corruption fight and signal to Nigerians that it is not serious to satisfactorily address the corruption allegations under the former President Goodluck Jonathan and involving those close to this government. “This politicised list comes at a time when the government is promoting itself as a beacon of transparency and accountability, and a model for other African countries to follow. The authorities ought to have resisted the temptation to put out this shambolic list and instead obeyed the spirit and the letter of Justice Shagari judgment,” the statement read further. SERAP said the Federal Government cannot pick and choose which judgments it wants to obey, even if the government would step on toes and make some politicians, whether in APC or PDP, uncomfortable. https://www.channelstv.com/2018/04/01/serap-ask-fg-to-withdraw-selective-looters-list/ |

At times not checking on one's phone doesn't necessarily mean U trust the person! It simply means U neither have the time or strength for that emotional path! In other words,I cherish my peace of mind always! U guys are just giving urselves unnecessary high blood pressure by turning into a detective because of ur partner.... Whoever wants to flirt or cheat will do so nicely and no one including the partner will ever know or suspect! My peace of mine is paramount! |
Happy Easter! ![]()

ice4u999:Hmmmm.....They we can conclude the company like others will soon go into extinction.... I know of so many transport companies that started like GIGM but where are they today? Safety and not money remains the best way to keep a transport company's reputation! |
This is very serious....I always travel with GIGM esp when am going to Lagos...... The employers need to start cautioning their drivers....They are getting proud and reckless every day! Just sum days ago,a colleague of mine was rushed to the hospital after the same transport company had an accident around shagamu.... No matter the rush hour because of the easter holiday, safety is always paramount! |
com5:Sir I beg to disagree with U.... With ur statement...U are directly trying to validate that God was actually the one who took the life of the pregnant lady and that of those who died! If I may ask....are U implying that God is a killer who gives and also takes lives like a babalawo? That's so untrue! study John 10:10 Please be careful what U believe in.... Let's not take away the fact that these accidents should have been avoided had they complained about the driver's recklessness and not becos God took their life according to U! smh |
seunmsg:You don't blame God when U see a drunk or an irresponsible driver but still enter the bus believing God will protect U in such a dangerous journey with an obviously dangerous driver... U don't blame God wen u are in an aeroplane and see the exit door that is almost shaky but U believe ur prayers are more than sufficient to no make that door slip off(Remember Dana air?) U don't expect God to help U do what he has enabled or equipped U for? Accidents happen and keep will keep happening becos we fail to speak up when things are bad but prefer the usual "make We manage am".... |
![]() This government is a joke All i can see in this incomplete list are ALLEGATIONS,ALLEGATIONS AND MORE ALLEGATIONS Allegation a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without PROOF. If the Apc after 3 years can not find substantial proof to prosecute and jail these so called looters listed by them, they should KEEP QUIET! |
ednut1:She may have prayed but did she caution the driver to be careful while driving? Transport drivers around the eastern part of the country are too reckless and have little regard for life! They drive as if they are in a "Formula 1" competition... 99% of road accidents are caused by reckless drivers who want to make to and fro journeys in order to make quick cash.... That's why its not enough to pray....for Christ sake...why did God give us eyes and mouth? To only look and eat? If they had cautioned the irresponsible driver, none would have died dis untimely death! God still hears our prayers but God also expects us to act and not stay quiet! |
Ladyhippolyta88:Yeah progressives.....I guess that's now a new buzz word for some confused believers who hardly study the scriptures and get influenced by all manner of doctrines! smh |
NwaAmaikpe:Please try to be matured! Ur statements most times can be so annoying! Smh |
interesting times.... Soon homosexuality will be a practice embraced by most churches in the future(That's if it hasn't already started),simply because according to some people,it doesn't "hurt" any one! As much as I understand wat she is trying to say,as a pastor or as a Shepherd of God's flock, U must ensure Ur words or actions don't lead people astray or away from Christ! This is because every single clergyman or woman will give account of what they did on earth! What is wrong is wrong....U don't need to paint stuffs on ur body to show that U belong to Christ! Let ur utterance and actions be a light for all to see! As for believers, esp those who surrender the reading or studying of the scriptures to unsuspecting pastors or clergymen, this is the time to be very careful and watchful about what U hear..... Its time U dust that bible and start to study it Urself! What U don't know,U are already a slave to it! |
Still can't comprehend why she is angry and pained after she broke up with her boyfriend....Or was she still hoping that they could still make up and restart the relationship? As for the cheating part of the guy,may i remind lady that most of the relationships that are about to "expire" already ended before the "official closing ceremony"...... You ended the relationship with him for a reason...so why are you so concerned about what he does with his life...? Some ladies really don't know what they want.... Please move on and stop this your "victim mentality"....U just want to draw sympathy from the public! Please move on! |

Being in a marriage or relationship is not defined by feelings but choice.... Its a choice to stay faithful....or chop beans for 10 years! If All U are left with is just beans, then try to spice it up wit other cool ingredients that will give U a different taste! Its not an excuse to start cheating because every one has the capability to cheat...male and female...What would happen if his wife has that same "boring beans" mentality like him? |
Thumbs Up OP

Players who switch clubs during the course of a season will be allowed to play for both in the Champions League under new rules announced by Uefa on Tuesday. The European global soccer body said in a statement that it would also allow teams to use a fourth substitute in extra-time during Champions League and Europa League knockout ties. The new ruling, to come into effect next season, means that a player who has been fielded by one club in the group stage of the Champions League, and is transferred during the January window, can play for his new club in the knockout stages. The same applies to the Europa League. Under current rules, clubs who qualify for the knockout stage of either the Champions League or Europa League are allowed to register three new players. These can include one player who has represented a different club in the Europa League group stages but none who have been fielded for another club in the Champions League group stage. The present ruling prevents Barcelona from fielding Philippe Coutinho in the Champions League this season as he has already played for Liverpool. Alexis Sanchez was eligible for Manchester United, however, as he switched from Arsenal in the Europa League to the Champions League. The new rules state that "that a club may register three new eligible players without any restrictions." Uefa said the new ruling brought it into line with domestic leagues which "do not impose restrictions on the eligibility for competitions of players registered for a new club during the winter transfer window." Uefa said the fourth substitution will be allowed following its approval by soccer's law-making body IFAB on March 3. It said that 23 players, instead of 18, would be allowed on team sheets for the Champions League and Europa League finals, and the European Super Cup match. https://www.supersport.com/football/europe/news/180327/Uefa_lifts_UEL_UCL_player_restrictions |

I join others to thank God for protecting you from the hands of the enemy the devil who seeks to kill and destroy.... However, its imperative to acknowledge that its not enough to thank God....U were saved to save others! What caused this near fatal accident? Was it over speeding or drunk driving? If the same scenario played itself again, would U appeal to the driver to be cautious while driving or would U silently pray and hope God does a second miracle again? Most accident victims who come out alive, are grateful and give thanks to God....then what happens? They continue with their lives as if nothing happened! the same scenario or reoccurrence will keep playing out again and again until some one uses his or her God-intelligently filled brain to ask questions that some advanced countries asked many decades ago....How can accidents be minimized to the least of casualties in our country? Until we engage our brains effectively in this country and rely less on our religiosity, some things will never change in Nigeria... Same applies to bokoharam or herdsmen or armed robbery! Lets Start thinking....God can not give Us such a powerful brain only for us not to make good use of it! |
Eyewitness accounts said that the driver was seen behaving strangely behind the wheel after he took off from the polytechnic gate, and had to force the cab to a stop, a development that prompted the students to disembark from the cab. There were signs that this man was not okay.... Once a driver is sick and also shows warning signs about his illness, the best thing was to disembark like they did initially.... They should have insisted on boarding another cab despite the pleas from passers-by...Now their lives have been cut short simply because of our unrepentant attitude towards our own life and that of others.... We see the wrong things every day and instead of doing the right thing,we say "MAKE WE MANAGE AM" ! We see a smoking airplane or an unstable vehicle or a shaky keke.....instead of insisting that U will move with a good and functioning means of transportation,we fall prey to the usually helpless phrase like "make we manage am" or "abeg i dey hurry" or "you go wait tire ohhh" See how "make we manage am" has claimed the lives of these students! This should be a very huge lesson to everyone....we like taking things for GRANTED in this country! |
Not again... |
lol Why seek solutions from a public platform to help solve your personal issues? U have already started exhibiting ur immaturity....If the guy refuses to marry U becos of this reckless behaviour, you will start blaming your village people or form victim by saying he wants to "chop and run" as if sex is only enjoyed by the man alone!! the level of reasoning dese days by sum individuals leaves much to be desired! |
hmmmm... Thank God for saving and delivering U from the fangs of death... Unfortunately, lessons have not being learnt...That truck driver will go scot free and still keep driving that same way...everyone will give thanks to God which is the right thing...however,what has been set in place to ensure that such accidents don't happen again...? On another day, this "narrow escape" could have been tragic and the comments here would have been RIP.... My point is that we hardly learn.... In a sane country, that driver should have been arrested and charged to court for being reckless and irresponsible while that particular company gets sued for hiring such an unprofessional truck driver.....in Nigeria, the victim who narrowly escaped death will praise God and other will also join him while the problem still remains.... For how long will our nation stop this reactive syndrome and for once become proactive.... Why must we allow the death of someone before we decide to tackle recklessness on our roads? why patronise a car or bus knowing fully well that its not road worthy and can cause a fatal accident? why must we allow bad things to happen before we start doing something about it? |
seriously....still amazed that this benue killings have been treated with kid gloves....where are the army personnel that were ordered to restore peace at benue? Now human lives in benue are now used for petty politics...smh ![]() |
