festacman:You are right! It shocks me how a team with such offensive depth didn't have a binding midfielder to connect attack, as soon as Wilfred Ndidi was out, I knew the midfield problem was exposed. To make matters worse, for 15 minutes Nigeria played with 3 out and out strikers, yet nobody had the technical ability to feed a searching pass to them... No quality freekick taker in that squad, 4 crucial freekicks wasted. It bothers me how players were scouted... was it that in the whole Nigerian league, no offensive Midfielders with vision, physicality and passing abilities were seen? My brother I taya |
You have got to be kidding... |
Troost, Apologies accepted... you tried your best. But it was not meant to be... it's not your fault Ndidi got injured, it's not your fault the SE lacked a creative midfielder that could connect and distribute play, it's not your fault Eguaveon didn't search for that kind of player in the first place. It's not your fault Uzoho was caught flat-bottomed, it's not your fault the offside trap caught Oshimen before he scored offside, it's not your fault the SE lacks a good set piece taker alas wasted freekicks... Tell your children the story of how you and the team smashed the hopes of a mammoth crowd who came to find solace in the only thing that shined a sliver of light in these dark times, and for a moment the National anthem was sung for a purpose in unity... My heart goes out to Oshimen and Ola Aina, they played their soul out, and I saw it. Ghana, we hope you use the chance well at Qatar, the soul of Africa is solidly behind you. Till 2026 |

OriOko88:Bro what could they do? Three strikers were in the box, but no body to serve a pass... |
Creative midfielder needed |
Mheeeen Frank Onyeka's injury is serious... he is off |
Ghanaians bringing in defensive reinforcements... They are ready to park bus |
emeernest:I have been saying there is a reason why Okoye is nr 1 but because of AFCON people won't see just how good Maduka is |
tobechi20:It's 1-1 still... VAR Ruled the goal offside |
COMPAQ:Bro to be honest Eguaveon is doing well... Analysing the game in Kumasi I can easily tell you Eguaveon rotated 3 formations and used several tactics; When Bonke and Aribo went off we switched to a 4-3-3, when Calvin came on it was switched to 3-5-2 (with Etebo dropping deep to pivot Ekong and Balogun while Aina and Bassey pushed upwards, everyone crowded the midfield while Dennis and Oshimen were upfront) ... In the early aspects of the game, Moses and Chukwueze were tactically switching while Oshimen was pressing to create a hole for Iheanacho. Unfortunately we didn't have a creative midfielder to also distribute the play. Bonke's job was literally to intercept the Ghanaian midfield which he did perfectly(Bonke made the highest 1st half interceptions in midfield), however once again a playmaker was lacking. Did you not notice it was Ekong trying to make long passes? Can we not ignore the fact that Ghana also played a very good tactical game? I mean if not for Ola Aina, Jordan Ayew received alot of killer passes from Partey, did you not see what that 19year old Afena Gyan was doing? Or did you miss the football that the number 20 of Ghana played? To be honest the fact Nigeria walked out of Kumasi with a draw was a miracle, because Ghana played a very tactical game. |
If he receives good service from the wings and midfield I can assure he will score... But If he is left alone up there, well what can I say?? |
oxygeng:If Dennis receives the marking Osimhen received in Kumasi, we wouldn't see him till the end of the game.... Osimhen was powerful enough to cope with double/triple marking. It was due to two defenders on him that Moses found space from Iheanacho's pass, but he missed... Osimhen is Africa's best number 9 just incase you don't know. All Osimhens touches in the last match was him hustling goal kicks and aerial balls, he literally got no service. If a proper midfield services him passes and wingers cross in for him... Bros, it will rain goals. |
ArchiLimited:I remember when he body slammed Yokozuna, that Saturday the whole neighbourhood cheered... Everybody loved Hulkamania |

Athemisia:I wanted to ignore you but I couldn't... I have a couple of questions for you, since you watch football; if you like use Google. 1- Between Uzoho and Maduka, who plays in a more competitive league? 2- Between Uzoho and Maduka who has had more first team appearances on club level? 3- Between Uzoho and Maduka who has more clean sheets on club level? 4- Who has had more penalty saves Between both? 5- Who has a higher save rate from XG shots Between both? 6- Who has better distribution percentage with his feet Between both? You will notice Maduka on paper is miles ahead of Uzoho especially when answering these questions. So for once appreciate Maduka, don't forget Uzoho also made a mistake against Argentina in the 2018 worldcup... a keeper with sharper reflexes should have saved that goal(Prime Enyeama would have saved that goal) Now I am not saaying Uzoho is not a good keeper, but I am saying Maduka is also a very good keeper we need to appreciate... and to think he is still miles away from his peak performance. I won't be surprised when Maduka becomes the number 1 keeper for a top club like Bayern Munich or the likes. |
To be honest Maduka is a very good keeper, I will not underate him in any way... (people really need to watch this guy perform on club level, and be proud he is Nigerian). Uzoho had a stellar game yesterday. At the end of the day, there are reasons why Maduka is the number 1 choice. **Edited** Before people crucify Maduka due to the AFCON error, people quickly forget Uzoho's 2018 worldcup slip between Argentina and Nigeria; Messi's goal should have been saved (a keeper with sharper reflexes should have made a supreme save, I.e prime Enyeama made countless saves in similar situations, from the same Messi!)... Had Uzoho made that save, who knows, perhaps Argentina would have been knocked out in the group stages. Bottom line, all keepers make mistakes no matter how good they are. |
lightlogger:My main problem with Chidera is lack of end product... basically that thing CR7 was doing as an 18 year old in man u, all tricks but no end/final product. |

msporche:It's Possible, but first the hill to prove himself worthy of graduate admissions would be steep... 1- Research Experience is very important: He needs to show this either by working in labs, writing research papers or as a research assistant. Being able to show experience in research is very crucial, regardless of a third class. Especially in a STEM discipline. 2- GRE scores and GMAT scores; these exams need to be Bombed literally to justify getting admitted with a low GPA. 3- Professional experience: significant work experience in a renowned establishment can further help the case. 4- Strong Recommendation letters; There has to be very strong recommendation letters from academicians or professional recommendations which point out the strengths of the individual seeking admissions to a grad degree. 5- Compelling SOP; the Statement of Purpose has to also be convincing on the motivation to go for a grad degree 6- Professional certifications: PMP certifications and other recognizable professional certifications also help, as regards to the study discipline 7- Personal achievements: This needs to be specifically highlighted on the Resume, meaning; the resume has to be very detailed in listing personal accomplishments that are impressive... basically portraying academic and professional progression regardless of a third-class degree In essence, it is possible but as you can see, the road is quite steep |
Tchai... |
Yes, I lost a couple years ago... but things are different now. |
Starzo:Imagine Tunisia's goal against Nigeria was cancelled during the AFCON... That's how football is these days, a faulty decision could completely change the balance of everything. |
Portugal would not be in this situation if CR7's clear goal was not denied... |
Simple, "Frank the tank!" I just hope he is in form... if he is, then it's covered |
