Is INEC not supposed to be an independent body or autonomous entity regarding electoral matters?
how come the Federal government now has a determining say in INEC's role, like they are practically calling the shots for INEC??
Jega has already become a puppet, he can't speak for himself on this one.

Thank you for this info. To be clearer for me, if she leaves the Schengen border, and returns the days in duration of stay will reset?
Technically, yes... but she needs to spend sometime out there, probablly like 2 or three days.

Those two countries are EU members.
Pardon me sir, let me say non-Schengen members

Yes, so just a stamp plus multiple entry schenghen visa is enough to get into Croatia?
For your information, a Valid Multiple entry Schengen Visa can get you into some non EU/ non schengen member countries like Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine.
For instance Turkey issues a visa upon entry if a Valid Multiple entry Schengen Visa is on the travellers document, all you have to do is pay for it at the P.O.E.
So if you say she has a multiple entry Schengen visa, then entry into Croatia is not an issue as she is very eligible.

What kind of visa is required to go into Croatia?
If you have a valid Schengen Visa, you will be stamped in to Croatia.
But I have a question; is her visa multiple entry?

People are suggesting a lot of expensive travel.
Is this Seminar worth it?
Is it going to lead to employment?
actually its cheaper travelling to Croatia from France than going to Nigeria and returning back. How? by train; You could get a direct train, from Zurich Switzerland to Zagreb Croatia- (of course Switzerland borders France, so one could use a bus to Zurich from France)
For the train, There are cheap fares from just €39 with
couchette, €69 with bed in a 2-bed sleeper, if you pre-book.
So its not expensive at all, to me, its even fun. asides the fun/adventure involved, the Visa is Maximally used, once one starts going in and out of EU border zones, the stay duration (days) is recapped upon return.

thanks for this question!

if she travels back to nigeria, does the duration of stay reset? like, does it start counting all over?

this is a question i've been trying to get an answer to, becausse i don't want a case where she will travel back to naija and will be denied a return (assuming the duration of stay on visa period were cumulative).
What I would advise is for her to travel out of the schengen Zone in Europe probablly Croatia, Slovenia or Ukraine, hangout there for a day or two then return back to France, upon entry, her stay duration will be reset again, giving her a bit more time to stay and accomplish her purpose. That's basically how you use the Schengen Visa maximally- Move Around with it.
As for extending the duration... daang! thats Gonna be a very hard m
croissant to chew in France.

TravelRe: Macedonian Government Scholarships For Foreign Students. by optimusprime2(m): 10:43am On Jan 27, 2015
FLYGERIAN91:
Hello Nairalanders,
I applied for and got awarded a 100% scholarship given to foreign students around the world from different countries including Nigeria.
My admission letter into the Goce Delcev University in Stip, Republic of Macedonia and a Letter to the Macedonian emabassy in Cairo, Egypt, ordering them to issue me a Visa type D and temporary residence permit have been sent.
My issue right now is that a first batch of scholarship awardees like myself have been asked to resume and that was in the second week of december 2014 while we were asked to be on hold. I just heard other students from other countries have resumed too but we in the next batch havnt been asked to resume yet and we are already in the middle of January....
This is something that has been goin on for years and I know 2 people that are also there on same 100% schorlarship which includes Tuition, acommodation and feeding, a monthly stipend of €80.00, return flight tickets every end of semester to visit home country and a few more.
Please is there any other macedonian schorlarship awardee out there who is in same situation as myself and 6 other students? Or is there anyone who has an idea of why its taking soo long?

I would have attached scanned copies of the letters sent to me via mail but for security purposes and confidentiality of the documents(Prying eyes), I decided against it. My phone has no photo editing app so I cant edit out the confidential parts like my name, passport number and other vital info. Thanks for understanding.

coldsummer:
Happy new year.

Quick one please:

Canadian and Irish are the only embassies that share immigration info with the UK?

Please clarify.
Happy New Year Bro!
Its Typical for Irish Embassies to share info with British embassies, of course being part of the U.K.
As for Canada, they have linked embassies with the U.K hope this link sheds some light on that;
http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2012/sep/24/britain-canada-share-embassies

now, the British embassy and other embassies like US, Australia and other OECD countries dont have that kind of mutual link policy, but certain data are taken into consideration during Visa applications (esp felony records), that can prompt them to make further research by contacting themselves for Data Verification "most especially if the subject has aquired a visa from any of them"
I was in the american embasssy for an interview once, when the visa officer told a guy they would contact the British embassy to verify an information he provided, of course such a call is going to prompt data sharing, depending on degree of verification.

CelebritiesRe: Anyone Who Comes Between A Married Couple Should Be Jailed- Omotola by optimusprime2(m): 10:31pm On Dec 24, 2014
lalasticlala:
Award winning actress, Omotola Jalde Ekeinde, in an interview with Encomium magazine, said that anyone who comes between a married couple deserve to be jailed because that person is robbing the couple of their joy.

."I think it should be a crime for anyone to come in between a couple. I feel anybody that comes between a married couple be a man or woman should go to jail. Such a person is robbing the family of their joy. To me, it is a crime that is worse than stealing another person's property" she said.

On what has kept her marriage going, she said:

"I would say first it is the fear of God. Then the fact that the reason we do all we do or the person we are all answerable to is God. He is the one guiding us. I would not lie to you that there was no time we almost gave up on both sides but at the end of the day you know you are answerable to God for whatever you do. There fore take your worry to him. And the reason you don't do anything stupid is because this person is not you are answerable to ultimately but God. So when God knows you depend on him that much, i think alone that helps you. Second is patience. You have to be very patient in every relationship, not just marriage. I feel very sad that a lot of people put so much pressure these days on marriages succeeding or not as if it is an alien relationship. The truth of the matter is that people fight their fathers, you fight your best friends. So why is it that you feel that you and your spouse can't fight or quarrel?"

Speaking about her husband, Omotola said he's been of great support to her

. "He has been supportive. He has been an angel. He is my rock of Gibraltar. I would say my husband is my fan so also my critic. Most important he has been my pillar of support. If you are doing this job, you feel like you always want to fear what somebody would feel about you. When I am talking of somebody, I mean your parent or husband, somebody that means something to you, that limits you as a creative mind. God is my witness, my husband has never for once felt anything negative about me being an actress. In 2016, we are going to celebrate 20 years of marriage. I can't remember anytime I wanted to do anything and he kicked against it violently. I have had to travel out of the country sometimes, it may be the same day he would know. You are also aware of the sensitivity of our job, we are very disorganized often times. You know how it feels for you to tell your husband that one thing you have been pursuing for the past three months, all of a sudden, you just got a call that they have bought flight ticket for you and you are going for maybe one week. So naturally that's just something you would say no, you can't. But I would go and tell him and he would be like wow! He would even encourage me to go. He is very understanding and very supportive" She said.

Omotola says featuring in the movie, The Prostitute and the controversies that surrounded the movie was the only time she felt her profession threaten her marriage.

. "The only time I would say I worried was when the movie, The Prostitute came out and that was the first major shaking I had. It was like a kind controversy. From the movie poster to the sex scenes, whatever in that movie that was shot after I left there was shot as if I was the one who did it. And you know Nigeria was not ready for that so there was a lot of controversy around that. So that was the only time I really worried about my marriage and to be frank and candid, until my husband told me he wasn't bothered, then I had peace".

PoliticsRe: FG: ISIS In Nigeria To Recruit Fighters by optimusprime2(m): 1:19pm On Dec 24, 2014
Tinubu:
I am not a Muslim... Actually I am a devout Christian.

But I strongly disagree with those who feel that Islam is a religion of terror.

When Christians were carrying out their crusades, crucifying and burning people at the stakes, no one totally classified them as terrorists.

The military conquest of the land of Canaan by the Hebrews in about 1200 B.C.E. is often characterized as "genocide" and has all but become emblematic of Biblical violence and intolerance.

God told Moses: But of the cities of these peoples which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall let nothing that breathes remain alive, but you shall utterly destroy them—the Hittite, Amorite, Canaanite, Perizzite, Hivite, and Jebusite—just as the Lord your God has commanded you, lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

So Joshua [Moses' successor] conquered all the land: the mountain country and the South and the lowland and the wilderness slopes, and all their kings; he left none remaining. (Deut. 20:16-18. Josh. 10:40)

In light of the above, why should Christians point to the Qur'an as evidence of Islam's violence while ignoring their own scriptures and history....

True, terrorism might seem to be exclusive to Muslims these days, but you don't adjudge a crate of eggs to be rotten simply because a few of the eggs are rotten.
As we have witnessed in Nigeria in the past few years, bombs and bullets do not differentiate between Christians and Muslims. There are no Muslim bombs or bullets. You stand in their way, you are dead irrespective of whether you are the Sultan of Sokoto or Pope John Paul.

Let us all stop passing the buck, and unite as one to fight it in its entirety.

PEACE IS ALL WE NEED

It's not that easy in his present situation, because it seems all he has got, is ONLY the short version of his birth certificate.
A buddie of mine was in the same situation, until he started digging for documents.
He was born 1981 in the UK and had just the birth certificate (which was just enough), it took a little while but he got British passport eventually.
Unless your mum did'nt give birth to you in a registered hospital, and you teleported from the UK to Nigeria, then one can say drop the issue.
Please go and do some intense digging ask your parents questions if necessary, hire a private investigator in the UK to dig up for you.
And just pray you have not been impersonated.
