they sent me a mail saying my fax could not be sent cos the documents i sent was more than 3 pages. you know the application letter itself has 3 pages, so if i add two more documents that is already 5 pages . how did you send your other documents? by the way did they evaluate your documents within 10 days of receipt of all your documents ?

dannio:
You have two options here
-send by the alternative
-see if you can send via fax in batches pls confirm you said it was returned that you sent more than three documents

Note when l sent via faxzero it was just two documents

i must have misread your question then, the spouse doesn't need to have an ECA.

olori0ko:
Thanks for your response. With respect to number 1 and your response to same, like i noted the question applies to someone ALREADY in the pool and ALREADY has an ITA. If the principal applicant having an education assessment certificate number was a must, I do not think the system would have permitted entrance into the pool. To provide more perspective, I believe the principal applicant in this case has a canadian qualification as the highest qualification. The focus was with respect to the spouse, so to rephrase ... is the credential assessment essential for the spouse, where there is a score high enough to get an ITA and the principal applicant has Canadian qualification?

Note when l sent via fax to IQAS l did not receive any acknowledgement mail but they got it as it was successful from faxzero's end

1. Application form (signed)(3pages)
2. Passport bio data page
3. Copy of academic credentials (university certificate)
4. Completed copy of ECA for immigration checklist(2pages)
5. marriage certificate
these are the documents i plan on sending, but i have the alternative of adding it to my transcript in another envelop though

1. the principal applicant MUST have an education assessment evaluation in order to enter the express pool. its an immigration service for workers. in order to work you need to assess your Nigerian certificate to get its equivalent in Canadian certificate .

2 on the issue of police certificate am sure its possible

3. on POF if you check the CIC website you will see that you need a specified amount of money in your account (if you dont have a job at the time of your application)
4. on the NOC for lawyers i think the appropriate one is 4211

olori0ko:
Great thread here, very enlightening ...

I have a few questions:

1. If one gets an ITA without doing a credential evaluation, is it still necessary to do one? In other words, in completing your profile, you had noted that the credential evaluation has not been done yet but you still received a good score and got an ITA, do you still have to do the credential evaluation? What impact does the credential evaluation have on CIC's decision and are there any examples of people who have successfully applied without doing the evaluation.

2. What are the chances of getting a police clearance certificate without being physically present in Nigeria?

3. With respect to proof of FOP, reading through this thread I see people talking about average balance being what is required. Is average balance still what is required today or this has changed? I ask this because of this additional information I found on the CIC page

If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter
issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:
• list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account
numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over
the past six months
,
• list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
• be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and
the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and
email
address).

The portion in bold does not state average balance so can any one advice?

4. Is there any lawyer qualified in Nigeria here who has successfully gotten PR through EE? If yes, in what NOC category did you apply?

I am grateful for insightful answers to the above. Thank you

hello, am about to send my documents to IQAS and was also looking at this fax option. which of the websites did you use. i tried some yesterday night they had restrictions on number of documents and pages per day. for instance the application form itself is already 3 pages, talk less of passport page , certificate checklist etc . as it is i have about 10 pages to send .
then the most important question who did you address it to and how long did it take for them to acknowledge receipt and update your status

dannio:
when did your school send it and how did they send it,was it by normal post or courier. For me l had to follow up with my school to ensure that they send the transcript.IQAS will surely send you a mail once they receive it.

it is advisable for your spouse to write the exams but not necessary .
in order to determine your score you can use the crs tool calculate it . just google "calculate your crs score" and work from there . also read the thread from 0, you will get an insight as to how scores are given and why maximum points are necessary . the score for ielts LRSW score 8877 for aim for the highest 8.5,8,7.5,7.5

As a newbie, I'm about taking the IELTS come March 4th. someone should render kind assistance to my questions;

1) Is it advisable I take the exam with my spouse though I'm the principal applicant? If yes, will it increase my score

2) What is the minimum IELTS score to that can enable one enter the pool? (As this will inspire me)

3) After the IELTS, what is the next step to take?

Please great minds in the house should help me on this. Thank you

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 2:18pm On Jan 28, 2017
i dont think you qualify for express entry , you need 3 years full time work experience to enter the pool. go to page 0 of this thread and read all the way. when you are through then ask questions

Osemigho:
All the way from Canada student visa thread, where I am an active member. I will like to know possibility of express entry while studying.

Profile: 4 years volunteer teacher experience, 1 year full time nysc experience that ended April 2015. Currently working as GA in a federal university for the past 5-6months.

Wondering if students visa documents like medical, police cert, etc are applicable to Express entry, as a way of reducing cost.

Is there anyone with profile similar to mine that had been successful in the express entry/fed skill race?

What's the house opinion on my profile, eligibility, etc?

Can I get concise intro into the whole process?

Are there things I need to know as I follow your conversations?

Thank you.

I am humble and loyal. Elders in the house, help me!

@dupyshoo @boldinc thank you for your responses , i cant seem to view page 250 on this thread on my phone or laptop. is it just me or everyone else. Another question i didn't ask on transfer of funds , the persons transferring the funds will i have to post their bank statements too
@dupyshoo for my money in the cooperative my payslips indicates the deductions , i also intend to get a letter from the cooperative stating am a member and also show the amount i have been contributing over the years and its registration certificate. is this good enough?

dupyshoo:
1. 490 is Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), while 550 is the application fee. RPRF is refundable if application is refused as it is the cost for COPR and PR card.

2. You need proofs to show that the cooperative money is yours. If you can provide the terms and agreement of the cooperative and proofs that the money was taken from you account in the first place, you should be alright.

3. Nope. However, if the funds are in your account for 6 months, there won't be need to show any proofs or write LOE.

4. Actually, 6 months bank statements is not what IRCC requires, it is a letter from your bank that gives the following info: account opening date, type of account, current balance and average balance for the past 6 months. People get bank statements as a work-around when their banks refuse to give them a letter in the required format. To answer your question, if you are submitting bank statements, yes, you will still have to submit 6 months bank statements.

5. I think FD and Tbills are acceptable. This does not mean you won't still provide your bank statements sha.

6. 90 days

@vcole good morning and all other gurus . please i need some clarifications (lots of questions coming up)
1.on the issues of fees,i am a family of 3 :1 adult and 2 children) how much is the processing fees. i asked because i checked the website and it says 490 but i noticed someone here said 1050. am i missing another fee.

2. my pof of fund is coming up from two places my father and my cooperative. for my father i know i need a deed of gift , however my cooperative would only a LOE suffice cos the money is mine and i just save it through the cooperative to create interest .

3.do these two source of fund need to be in my account(6 months) before i apply for the ITA

4 with the source of my money explained do i still need to submit 6 months bank slips or start from the dates the money was transferred

5.in the alternative reality i was also thinking of placing the money in a fix deposit or Tbills is there anyone who has successfully used any of this methods

6.after getting the ITA how many months before submission 2 or 3 months

@dupyshoo @boldinc your contributions to these questions will be highly appreciated
thank you everyone

vcole:
If you have payslips and any additional proof of employment just add it. I think it is the job responsibilities that matter more than the job title.

yes you can submit the draft in any of their office , when the person is submitting he should go with a copy of your passport, bank draft ,write your name and reference number behind it. within 24hrs it will be processed

Hello guys, i must say this forum has really been helpull and educative.
I have a pressing concern and would appreciate a genuine clarification.

I signed up online for the IELTS exam slated for 11 February in PH and I'm at work (offshore) at the moment returning in 2 weeks.

For the need to make payment with bank draft, will it suffice to send someone I know in maybe Enugu or Abuja to submit the draft in either of the British Council's office on my behalf along with scanned copy of all required documents?

I'm deeply grateful for the expected response.

GOODNEWS!!!

Mehn, this my vacation to Nigeria na WAKA WELL OH!,
First of all, I went to apply for a US visa in Abuja a few days ago and got it!!!..I am very excited because this is 10years after I last made 3 applications which well all denied.....lol grin nor be small!!

Secondly, today, I got my January 7th IELTS result which I wrote in Benin and was super excited about the score because its exactly the marks required.

Overall Band 7.5

Listening 8.0
Reading 7.0
Writing 7.0
Speaking 7.0

NOTE: This Is coming after I had previously written the Dec 3rd. IELTS in KSA and had superb results except for writing. Infact I was so devastated because it was my best effort.

Overall Band 8.0
Listening 8.0
Reading 8.0
Writing 6.5
Speaking 8.0

Thanks to these great people for their encouragement @vcole @dupsyshoo @ugoiyke73e @iphie25 @JesusDWay and others who gave good advices. I simply asked for a remark (which will come out in March) and rebooked another test.

So now I am good to go with CRS of 469 and rady to dive into the Swimming POOL grin which I know will open this Wednesday.....lol

Questions:
1. Can I make my EE profile without my Ielts TRF number? I am waiting on DHL and don't know if they will send it to Benin before Wednesday (draw date).
2. I am entering the pool as single but hope to marry soon, please when is the best time to do so and update CIC, which timing/method will ensure a fast process without too much delay
3. Abeg any MEDLAB graduate here? I want to be sure if I an use WES for my fiancée's degree evaluation because the Canadian professional body for them will not even accept their result alongside those from Australia and uk because they didn't do a certain rotation (histotechnology)

Thanks once again and for the IELTS hopefuls, prepare well using ieltsliz.com (watch her videos and read her instructions because she gives standard advices), and practise the Cambridge 1 - 11 in a simulated exam environment. best of Luck!

@dupyshoo thank you for that confirmation, next question is about requirements joint account . please is there a link on financial requirements for married couple ?thank you

dupyshoo:
It is better you keep the money intact. If you do, you will not need any LOE. Your POF will just be the letter from your bank or bank statements.

On the other hand, if you transfer lump sum to your account after ITA and you can explain the source of the funds with LOE and gift deed, it should not be an issue.

@boldinc @vcole and @dupyshoo @iphie25 and all other guru people on the thread. please i need to make verification on POF. i have a family of 3 and looking at the exchange rate , that is about 6-7 million. now my question is do i keep this money on lock down (in an account forever) bearing in mind that an ITA can come any moment or if and when it comes i can pull all the resources together and have a detailed letter of explanation. please those who have done it how did you save your money and for how long?

[quote author=dupyshoo post=47723290]This is the estimate of what it cost my family:

Myself
WES - C$233.91
IELTS - £150
Transcript (2 Universities) - £20 +N10,000
PCC (2 countries) - £45 + N6,000

Spouse
IELTS - £150
PCC (2 countries) - £45 + N9,000

Medicals (Family of 3) - £780
Application (family of 3) - C$2230
Total - £1190 + C$2463.91 +N25,000 (approximately N1,042,476)

Yours will probably be a lot cheaper as your application fee will be about C$1000 and medicals done in Naija are a lot cheaper. It should be about N400,000. Please note that this does not include flight ticket and the cost of sending your passport via DHL or VFS. You might want to include that as w

Hi optionese,
First of all I want to say again dt IQAS is d only evaluating body that understands foreign law degrees, concludes d evaluation in record time and is cheaper.
For ur first question...IQAS recognises dt Nig has direct entry programmes for Law and it's four years. I'm thinking it'll be written on ur transcripts dt it's a direct entry programme u came in thru. But to be on the safe side you can attach ur dip degree or request for ur transcripts and also explain to them in a written note.
For ur 2nd ?....yes your age, work experience and ielts are d determining factors. If ur less than 30 or at most 32 you should get good points. If. U hv 3years work experience and try to score atleast 8777 in LRWS in IELTS your scores should be well over 450 atleast.
If u v any queries...don't hesitate to ask.
