akinmax: I doubt if the OP understand the basic of what the Sanusi cashless economy is really all about.Is not about ATM or cards.ATM cards short coming has always been there which is not particular to Nigeria alone, its a global thing.Cashless economy simple mean an electronics alternative to physical cash.There are other means to settle payment Mobile money,internet Banking,vending,etc.What we should be asking for is an improvement on our infrastuctures rather than remain in stone age.The advantages far outweigh the shortcomings both on the short-term and long-term.ATM/card theft, ATM machine problems are hurdle in a journey that need continuous improvement not a destination .Mind you,with the new chip card security features it is practically impossible to clone the card.

I understood him quite right, i am talking about payment options if we are going cashless and that includes atms,online transfers and credit cards right? all i am saying is are we prepared for hacking because believe me it is coming and also who covers us when our money is lost ? banks ? insurance ? count the banks out because ordinary atm issues they will frustrate you and tell you someone somehow got your pin.

Come on dont get deceived that it is 100 percent safe ...every system has a weakness or every system has a loop hole and hackers are always working and looking for the loop holes, i have seen a hacker tell me my yahoo messenger password while we were chatting , this was way back in 2004 and the dude was from Romania and come on lets be honest are we going to trust interswitch all the time? they've got Nigerians working for them there right? an average Nigerian that is criminally minded ! All those passwords and codes can be very tempting when you see millions hehehe

ok jokes apart i have been on my seat and seen thousands of credit cards information from americans and british with loads of money in it including their social security numbers , phone numbers and home address , these informations are sold on hacker websites even though mastercard and visa keep claiming their card and systems are safe ..bullshyte ! EVEN paypal information can be bought easily online if you have the right links, ok lets say insurance companies pay back such thefts to americans and the rest but can they pay us back in Nigeria??

i am in support of cashless policy or whatever and other alternative means of payment but a lot of harsh lessons will be learnt and a lot of money lost and business wrecked when this stuff kicks off !!! Justwise thank you so much, he is going to use the company's tax clearance ,what other document does the company need to give him since he is sponsoring himself? he is thinking of having his secretary write an introduction using the company's letter stating that he is a director and he is going on leave and that he would be sponsoring himself ? then also he has huge cash lodgements into his accounts and also withdrawals(oil tankers) but the current balance is around 1m will he have to explain these transactions?

a friend of mine wants to visit the uk on invitation of his step brother who happens to be a citizen, he is a co owner and also a director in the company so in order words he wants to use his company as sponsor but the problem is as a director he doesnt get paid with pay slips , they just share profit .so will payslips be a problem? he earns funds from other sources and its paid into his personal account so will he have issues explaining where these funds come from?

justwise please can you help with a sample of how a company sponsorship letter should look like? and also what if he wants to sponsor himself will he need to do a personal tax clearance on himself or use the company clearance being that he is a director and a part owner of the company?

Hello Nairalanders please i am in dire need of advice for a friend, his step brother who happens to be a uk citizen wants to invite him over for a visit and he has agreed to send the following
His British passport scan page
Letter of invitation
Birth Certificate
Tenancy agreement
Receipt of utility bills such as electricity and water bills , please we are wondering if he should include his bank statement even though my friend is the one sponsoring the trip
Now the major problem is that my friend owns a share in the company(also director) he plans to use as sponsor for the trip and the funds is in a joint account with the other director in the company pls note that the other director is aware of his plans to use funds from the companies joint account. Please how do we go about this ? as a director he doesnt receive pay slips or have any payment in the name of the company paid into his account because they share profits as it comes(transport company) so will we have issues with pay slips?
my friend has the following documents to back his finances
newly opened zenith bank account with 230k in it
gtbank account with 1m in it but over the past 6 months the account has a lot of transactions made in and out of it
mutual benefit policy certificate for 2m
intercontinental account balance for 200k and 1m in fixed deposit
tax clearance of the company
shares certificate of 3 different banks
receipts of purchase of landed properties not c of o
investment policy receipt from arm investment managers for over 3m

He listed all this to me because of the uk website asking for means for finances and also anything to show he is well established here and will return back.Is this above listed enough or too much and since the funds and investments surpasses what the company account holds (3m)

the thing is he doesnt earn from only this company because he is into other business hustle here(oil tankers) and there so please advice on which steps will be best for him to take.Please advice is needed urgently

Hello Nlders please i just graduated from university of ado ekiti now ekiti state university with a degree in computer science, we were not taught anything besides maths, we only have a few computer science lecturers who just teach us a few things they know from back in the days AND i can attest to the fact that the graduating class of 2011 dont know anything in the industry , some of us cant even open emails , i have always been technically savy thats why i decided to do this course, now i dont know where to start from since all we did back then was to cram and pass . So please i need advice on where to start with all this certification courses, i have no passion for programming i barely passed c++ during a semester,how can a lecturer teach programming on a chalkboard without a computer?? trust me weve never been taught anything with a computer, so please where do i start from? i am more inclined in the telecoms direction, i am really desperate because i want to build myself and not follow the crowd to the banking sector!

i was there last year,ive got pics to prove that, that swimming pool wasnt there and hey the hotels dont give 24hrs power except the local ones , and also aero doesnt fly there, dont be fooled by those pics ,some of them arent real, the 5hrs drive from calabar to that place will knock you out besides that the area is serene and very cold !
