PoliticsRe: Buhari Has So Far Borrowed $3b without doing anything at all by OreMI22: 4:29am On Nov 22, 2015
Buhari will shoot up the foreign debt to $60 billion very soon.

Even in the best oil prices, experts have warned that foreign debt of more than $40 billion will be unsustainable and snuff out life from the Nigerian economy.

However, in spite of the warnings, Buhari will still ruin the economy so long as he borrows enough money to satisfy his political benefactors.

EUROBOMBER:
Some people are angry that Igbos visited the ND thread created by Mulatocllaro.

For the records, we have two states in the ND namely Imo & Abia.

Edo state is not more ND than Imo, Abia or Ondo. Indigenes of these aformentioned states have every right to participate in ND threads. Infact, Abia & Imo are located more SS than edo which is almost in the north little wonder they have a large number of muslims in Auchi.

Whoever does not want us to invade their thread should open Edo thread or ijaw thread. Igboland extends into the so-called SS or ND. We have lands in Delta and Rivers states and no amount of intimidation can make us forsake our lands.

Simple.
A most unnecessary explanation, but it's okay just to set the records straight.
Those that think they can rename Igbos because they have carved them into Delta or Rivers should try harder. grin
Today, my Ndoni friend was so furious about Buhari's utterances on Biafra. Again, to a typical Yoruba, he isn't Igbo, even though his name is Okechukwu. grin Similarly, I have a Kwale friend that hates Nigeria so bitterly. yet, in an ab0ki's mind, they aren't Biafran. grin grin grin

It is typically a headache for yorubas and some ab0ki from the far north when they hear Biafra. In their demented minds, they imagine they can tell people who they are, yet they continue to create a Nigeria full of injustices and inequality. Nigeria has indeed outlived its usefulness.

I was one of those that craved for Nigerians to somehow find a way to live together in order to have a big country and call ourselves the biggest black country in the world. But i have realized it is a futile idea and indeed a murderous idea that has caused the death of so many.

Governor Obiano honors one of our own shinning stars in the international banking circle. Dr Benedict Okey Oramah, President, AFREXIMBANK being decorated along with other top industrialists from Anambra State. The evening provided a rare opportunity for the crème of Anambra business men to interact with the bank chief who promised to support any viable proposal aimed at creating employment in the State. Another good news for investment in Anambra State.
I thought that was Chief Cletus Ibeto?

I wish Obijackson will use part of the land he acquired to also build a truly world class university there.
Even though it will be close to Madonna university, but, we need world class institution and university in Anambra, which will be affiliated to a university in USA or Canada.Like Atiku was able to do in creating an American university in Yola.
@ bolded,
you are right and I agree completely.
We need world class institutions affiliated to great institutions abroad. Its amazing Atiku Abubakar thought about such. It's unusual for a northerner and a Nigerian politician to think of anything high quality.

Anyhow, Obijackson seems to like America with the USA flag proudly flown at his hospital. Also, the AUN, Yola is built on compact piece of land in Yola, which I'm sure Obijackson can easily replicate in his vast land in Okija. It will be a reference institution that will not only admit Nigerians, but students from all over the world including from the USA itself. The same way Americans go to University in the Caribbean, Brazil and South Africa. In fact, just the Igbo diaspora living in the USA that will send their kids to a world class Obi-Jackson American University in Nigeria will finish the Quota reserved for USA students.

O ya read After reading you've to scroll b4 this your. Particular post to read the detail analysis of both.

75 Billion Naira Cash and Investment, Obi’s Aide calls for a Committee

Following the denial by Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State after two years of handover, that he did not receive any 75 Billion Naira cash and investment from his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi, Obi’s Media aide, Valentine Obienyem has called for a committee to investigate the matter even as he advised Anambra Government to concentrate on showing Anambra people what they have invested for them or projects executed rather than dancing around another man’s investment for the State.
In a statement to the press, Obienyem expressed shock that Anambra Government just realised after two years that what was handed over to them was not as stated.

During a press conference on Saturday, Gov. Obiano, speaking through the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu said he only received “9 Billion Naira cash and 26 Billion Naira ‘near cash’ from his predecessor.’ He also said he inherited over 100 Million owed contractors on different contracts in the State.

Obienyem who said the word “Near cash” was alien to him as well as to all the experts on money, called on Anambra State Government to explain what they meant by that. He asked whether by “near cash”, they mean they received an unknown money or perhaps, Biafran pounds.

Obienyem said that the issues raised by Anambra State Government were weighty that professional organisations such as the Association of Accountants from Anambra should independently set up a Committee and investigate the true position of Anambra finances and report back to Anambra people. “I am saying this because for two years they said nothing until they plan to massively borrow money from the banks. I am aware that Obi left as follows: 27 Billion Naira in local currency investment; 26.5 Billion Naira in foreign currency investment; 28.1 Billion Naira in Certified State/ MDS balances.” Obienyem stated that he was aware that Mr. Obi has all the certified bank balances of Anambra State accounts in different banks as at the 17th of march, 2014, the day of handover, to warrant anybody trying to misrepresent facts on that. He wondered what would have happened to all the money Obi left if he was not professional enough to have documentary evidence.

On over 100 Billion Anambra State Government said they inherited from Obi, Obienyem said it was unfair for Anambra State Government to say such a thing. “When Obi became Governor, he completed both Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju and Dr. Chris Ngige’s contracts such as Otuocha, Umuchu-Owelle-Ezukala, Awka Etiti roads. He also started from the scratch some like the Zik’s Avenue, Ebenebe roads that were awarded by his predecessor. In his own case, Obi did not owe a single contractor before leaving office. He paid for all the certificates generated on already awarded contracts. I do not know if the present Government at Awka is saying that he ought to pay for all awarded contracts, whether completed or not.
I supported Peter Obi during his tenure as governor, but he should SHUT UP and allow Obiano to execute his programs.

Whether he left $1 or $20 billion dollars, it is still Anambra's money and NOT HIS PERSONAL MONEY !.
Therefore, he should support Obiano to succeed instead of the childish unnecessary bickering.

Just as we supported Obi against those willing to frustrate Anambra's development just to spite Peter Obi as the governor then, we completely support Willie Obiano against Obi's riff raff's trying to stifle development of Anambra because Obiano is the governor.
ANAMBRA IS BIGGER THAN ANY SINGLE POLITICIAN OR GROUP'S INTEREST.

i am personally disappointed that Peter Obi can be so petty to rubbish his esteemed reputation by arguing this silly issue in the public purview. It is really sad that Obi has lost his strategic thinking to not knowing what to ignore. He should complete his newfound silliness by responding to newspaper opinions too.

You have forgotten already that Anambra State is the Light of not just Nigeria, but the Whole black race!. There are shortage of Modern Car Parks & Highrise Office complexes in & arround Onitsha!. Awada & Ugwuagba layout Obosi with a population of 1 to 1.5 Million people needs a Food or General goods Market or Business Centre with Underground Car Park!.
My biggest take is the expansion of Onitsha to open up more areas for development. We must adopt the method where peripheral areas of the city have been opened up for development. Three major dual carriage ways axis should enter Onitsha along its three major axis from Nsugbe, from Awka and from owerri.

The biggest problem we have is lack of linear expansion for development. I have advocated for a few bridges and roads to open up Onitsha along these axis. We must open up new areas of Onitsha for development and stop crowding up the already built up main market area. Onitsha must be able to develop along it 3 axis of Onitsha to 33 area, Onitsha to Ihiala and Onitsha to Awka axis.

To save the Federal roads from collapsing nationwide, the federal government must quickly concession out the roads to capable construction companies. These companies will collect toll on the roads, to make sure it is maintained in pristine condition all year round.

IDC should have both the Enugu-Onitsha expressway and the Onitsha Owerri expressway concessioned to it to maintain.

Green lawns all over our cities will be maintained and jobs created
This will be one of the biggest game changers. if Obiano actually gets people to sweep the streets of Anambra.

Most importantly, to plant flowers and tress in open spaces as well as use lawn mowers to cut grass.

part of the only thing i know Fashola did in Lagos was making it decent by bringing back street sweepers and landscapers to plant tress, grass and flowers. if we had such people before, the erosion at Enugu-Awka expressway would have been addressed when it first started instead of allowing it to get to the point it is now.
PoliticsRe: Re: Oil Revenue And State Production by OreMI22: 12:41am On Nov 04, 2015
PresidentBuBu:
Someone recently pasted a thread on state production of crude oil on Nairaland on initially viewing it i was happy because i had searched on the topic many tomes before but on further enquiry i found out many inconsistencies with the report such as the barrel production of many states and corresponding derivation to the states was not proportional i.e according to the report edo state produce the same amount of oil as that of imo and abia combined but however they each had almost the same production. That there was a recorded barrel production for c/r state but no corresponding derivation so on further inspection of the site all i came up with was he aforementioned pictures no report on either source of the information or the time/year it was carried out . I even went further to check it out on the nnpc website and nddc site but no luck either.

So the questions are where exactly did they really get the information from, is it reliable or true why is there no actual records on either oil or gas reserves or production by state in this electronic age. Does Nigeria sell its gas and if so to what amounts. Oil and Gas is the most lucrative and important sector to the federal government and there should be more accountability in this sector.

PS: this is simply an opinion and not fact but due to lack of information if you have dissenting views feel free to disagree but however with credible sources and reliable information.
Oga mi,
The day you stop taking yoruba e-warriors and their bogus reports seriously, then you will live long.

Nigeria is the worst country you can hope to rely on its data.
it is always manipulated for one political gain or another. Even our poverty rate data is manipulated depending on who wants it.

For instance, if it is for an International investors looking for where there is less poverty to build his shopping mall, they will skew it a certain way to deceive him. If it is an international donor looking for where the poor people are to site a poverty alleviation project, they will forge the same data a different way and present to deceive him.

Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose earlier today stopped his convoy to see the state of the Oja Bisi market where he met with this old woman pictured with him and had a talk with her.

While talking, the old woman complained that she had been trying to reach him on the mobile number he gave out to the state residents but had not been successful. She said she called to invite him to her mother's funeral this Friday. Fayose asked for an invite which she said she had finished sharing them. He then promised to grant her wish and attend her mother's burial.

The only reason Biafra has not left Nigeria is that more Igbos are still against it than those for it. i am sure Buhari will convince those still doubting that Igbo isn't truly wanted in Nigeria. So, its only a matter of time with Buhari doing the convincing, not Nnamdi kanu.

If USA fight China or Russia, it is not a question of if they will win, it is what will be left of USA after such a monumental waste of material and human resources. That is why they avoid conflict.

PoliticsRe: Amaechi's Confirmation: A Celebration And Reward Of Corruption by OreMI22: 9:50pm On Oct 29, 2015
Episteme2:
Today, APC has finally confirmed that their fight against corruption is a child's play. It is on record today that APC should not be taken serious in their so much touted fight against corruption. This administration is her own enemy. While PDP has directly and openly shown their interest and readiness to fight corruption by making sure that a controversal nominee who has serious corruption allegation on his neck was not confirmed as a minister, APC and particularly Saraki in his expected face-saving tricks led the APC-majority senators into confirming Rotimi Amaechi as a minister. This is without recourse and consideration to the Senator Anyanwu led committee report on the petitions against Amaechi.

Nay, this is a celebration of corruption by the administration whose obsession and preoccupation is shouting corruption fight. As an administration that is supposedly poised to fighting corruption, the right thing would have been recommending that Amaechi should go and clear his name. Even when he was invited by a properly constituted judicial panel of enquiry, which would have been the best time to clear his name and shame his critics if he were innocent, he snubbed their invitation with contempt. And none of his fanatical fans thought it wise to advise him to honour the invitation.

PMB by paying a deafening silence to the petitions and allegations of corruption hanging on Amaechi simply because he benefitted from the corruption proceeds has shown that his fight against corruption is only targetted at the opposition and his disloyal party menbers. Amaechi was only confirmed today by corruption. Yes, Saraki's confirmation of Amaechi showed that he could indeed be a stumbling block to fighting corruption. He thought he could use Amaechi's confirmation to anticipate and secure a safe landing in his CCT corruption case. But he might be disappointed because the PMB, we know is rigid and unforgiving. As from today, he should know that his Senate presidency is shaky. If he must remain there, he should get ready to start acting like a puppet becase his support base is now aggrieved. With what happened today, I just deduce that trachery runs in Saraki's vein.

For Amachi's fanatical fans, it's a win win for them, but Amaechi has a burden to off-load from his body. Until he comes out plain to give an account of his stewardship as Rivers State Governor, his integrity still carries question mark. Never in the history of Nigeria has there been an occasion when a controversal and allegedly corrupt nominee was confirmed a Minister despite the wailing of the masses, especially by those he served as their Governor and a mature walk-out by the Senators who sought to know the true postion of the petitons and allegations against him.
It is indeed a celebration of and reward to corruption. It is a sad day for well meaning and unbiased minds who want to sustain the fight against corruption and wail for a better Nigeria, more especially in this administration which can never say or write a word in her achievement book without mentioning 'fighting corruption'.
Amaechi already threatened buhari that he would ask for his money back if Buhari does not ask the party to confirm him.
Now, stealing is officially not corruption.
