If Dangote were to buy any premier league team he would be the second richest owner in the league behind only the owner of man city, even richer than Roman abramovich. He CAN afford any premier league club. There is no billionaire who has their money in cash, every single one has the vast majority of their wealth and value in stock and bonds

The difference between the two cars is not just 70hp, no one will pay $100k (I doubt that figure) more for 70hp.

There's a reason manufacturers offer the V12 option.

I know on the 740iL and 750iL the differences are a laundry list.
Go check it out and you let me know, I know the s63 and S 65 are a lil different but the G63 and 65 are pretty much identical except for the engine, and the difference there is marginal in real life, that's if you even notice it.

Wow! FFO, sorry FFK, back from the dead, we missed you, it's been long we heard from you, where have you been? we thought you've gone on exile.

Now talking about provocative utterances, culprit no one is you, you're one of the reasons why Jona loss, you, Fayose, Okupe and mama peace- whenever you open your diarrhea mouth, Jonathan losses 100, 000 votes, you divided this nation by your ethnic and religious cards.

Now as per the alleged pronouncement from the Oba of Lagos, I thing it is wrong in the first place for the Oba to be canvassing for any candidate, he should accept the both of them as his sons and let the people decide, but I don't thing he said what was alleged, I'm very sure he didn't say that, it's too provocative to be said by him, if he said so, please provide the video evidence. It is pure PDP propaganda, that was how they twisted Aisha Buhari's statement before the election to sway the edos and SS to vote against Buhari. He couldn't have even said it in the presence of the igbos, he was only pleading with them, though I don't support that.
Listen to it for yourself then please modify your comment.

PoliticsRe: Alleged Anti-Igbo Comment: What Oba Akiolu Really Said — Palace by oseo1(m): 6:23pm On Apr 06, 2015
KazeemDiary:
The palace of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has issued a statement, clarifying the Oba’s statement when Igbo leaders in Lagos visited him on Sunday.
Read full statement below.

THE PALACE MAKES FURTHER CLARIFICATION ON THE STATEMENT BY THE OBA OF LAGOS.
‎My attention has been drawn to a publication in a national newspaper where HRM Oba Riliwanu Akinolu was alleged to have threatened Igbos in Lagos to make them vote for Ambode.

Last Sunday, all honorary Eze Ndigbos in Lagos paid a courtesy call to HRM Oba Akinolu. At the meeting the visitors praised the Oba for his fatherly support for and cooperation with Igbos in. Lagos. They assured him of their continued good neighborliness with other tribes in Lagos and support everything that’ll further strengthen that harmony.

Oba Akiolu on his part acknowledged the enviable performance of Governor Fashola and his contribution to the growth of investments in Lagos. He gave the assurance that he is not disturbed or angry with South-East and South- South votes for President Jonathan as perceived by the Eze Ndigbos. The Obas thereafter called on the Igbos chiefs to show appreciation to Lagos State by supporting his candidate Mr. Ambode for continuity of excellence as they have earlier promised.
He assured them of his continued support‎ and assistance where needed and the meeting ended with the traditional breaking of kolas, alligator pepper, and bitter kola and pouring of liberation on the ground. It was within this context that that the tradition of Lagos with regard to the lagoon came up. It was noted that whoever works against the throne and the interest and peaceful co-existence of Lagos would end up in the lagoon as per tradition.

2.Oba Akiolu stated further that the Igbo people have not betrayed the throne. Lagos has also not betrayed the Igbo people. Lagos has done so much to make the Igbos comfortable and to prosper. For this, we expect reciprocal respect and understanding. The Oba of Lagos prays that the Lagoon and the throne will continue to bless and protect all those who reside and visit Lagos.

3. Oba Akiolu is the father of all irrespective of tribe, religion or political persuasion. In Lagos, we have an old traditional proverb that relates to the Lagoon. The Lagoon is unique to Lagos. The proverb stresses the need for unity and understanding when you do business in an environment and in this case when you live and do business in Lagos.
Oba Akiolu prays for peace for the land of Lagos and prosperity for all its inhabitants.

This Emefiele man is just out of his senses! Everybody has the right to demand for whatever fiat currency he/she wants to transacts in. There is no law that every business transaction in Nigeria must be done with the Naira.

This man is supposed to be the most powerful person in Nigeria after the president but he's messing up more than Sanusi.
Actually Nigerian law says you can't charge in USD for a domestic transaction. It's so because it creates artificial demand for USD thereby putting strain on the naira. The more the demand for USD the stronger it will be, and the weaker the naira will be.

Also it's so to protect the citizens, imagine if you were paying school fees in USD your kids fees would have jumped by 40%. The fees should be a flat naira fee. After all they pay their staff in Naira why don't they pay them USD as well?

Yes I will agree with you that the Ocean is a menace and that the state government haven't done much about it but what you failed to ask yourself is why?
Have you forgotten the fight with the federal government over who owns the Ocean and who have the power to curtail the menace? Lagos state government want to hire a foreign company to do something about the menace but the federal government restrained lagos from doing it saying the Bar beach is a federal property. OK! Federal government should roll in the equipment and fix it, they refused. Playing politics with peoples lives and properties just because lagos is not a PDP state. There is even a plan for lagos state to build a power plant yet the federal say NO! Power generation is the exclusive of the FG. OK!...
Please note I said "when it rains" the biggest problem is not the ocean its the drainage or lack thereof. I live in vgc and since Hitech raised the level of the expressway we have been having flooding issues. Hitech has not built drainage for the expressway so water will naturally flow to the lowest point and pool there. It has next to nothing to do with the ocean.

Leave the PDP e-rats make dem dey yarn dust jare. Can he please show us pictures of Banana Island, Lekki and Lagos Atlantic city etc too? What about all the tarred roads in Shomolu, Bariga, Ogba Ijaiye, Ikeja etc. Go and check the works in Mushin and Oshodi also. Look at Lagos BRT, ferry and rail transportation system as well as the best bridges in the federation. These clueless people failed to realize that even America do have slums. The measure of performance should be based on the level of work done instead of expecting the whole of Lagos to be tiled in gold b4 they know that Fashola is performing. Lagosians are the cause of the dirts in lagos. If u come to Onipan when fashola just fixed the Ikorodu expressway u will marvel. Within few months some silly lagosians cut through the barb wire secruring the expressway and destroying the flower gardens in the process just because they want to cross the expressway when there are pedestrian bridges. Most places built by the government were destroyed by lagosian and the market women. People still throw dirts on the floor despite provision of waste bins. U will even see some people bringing dirts to dispose in the public waste bins and drains when it rain. Federal govt military burn BRT buses just because their govt couldn't afford one. I bet you if there was War Against Indiscipline like in the era of Buhari/Idiagbon there won't be dirts and blocked drainage as you see everywhere now.
Hatred won't make u to see the good performance of the government. U will go and look for one dirty place in lagos and use it to measure the performance of the APC government in lagos. Was PDP not the government in Lagos before lagosians kicked them out? Why will lagosians kick them out if not that their performance is below par.
It seems it is high time people start voting only in the state they come from so that when they vote in a clueless govt they will be there to bear the consequence. Some people will just come from another state to vote for one useless govt out of hatred. When the govt start destroying the state they will now park their belongings to return to their own state.... Abeg make una park well if una no get any thing to talk about.
While I agree you made some valid points please not that VI, ikoyi and all of the lekki axis floods when it rains, do I blame fash ola for it? Only in part, because he hasn't addressed it. The lekki Expressway has actually worsened the situation for most of the communities around it. If you need confirmation just go to agungi igbo efon and the surrounding areas and ask.

Obama for instance, is guarded by his secret service detail, not even all White House security personnel!

Can you imagine Obama in Chicago with roads blocked from O'Hare to the State Capitol for an hour, and streets lined by CPD, FBI, CIA, Secret Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Delta, Army Rangers, Marines, ATF, Navy SEALs, National Guard, US Marshals, Coast Guard, etc? Where an asthma sufferer is stopped from getting to the drug store?

Imagine that for a moment.

Abuse of power is just that. Abuse.
When Obama came for my graduation in 2010 parts of I-64 were closed for hours, he came by helicopter mind you. When Michele Obama came for some charity tennis tournament in Norfolk they closed roads then too. Road closures are normal for presidents all over the world.

He holds a position of authority in the church that's why they are being strict, generally the church will recognise you as married after your court wedding.

To be fair that is exactly what will happen with any president, when Obama came for my graduation roads were closed too. They even closed an Expressway and he came by helicopter mind you. So get used to the idea, you will never drive past the president on 3rd mainland bridge.

Just a side note, I was in Lekki about 45 minutes before the robbery and I saw nothing less than 4 patrol vans while on my way back to vgc, one was on freedom way, close to the south African embassy, another at the oando petrol station, one at jakande and I drove by one before igbo efon. Please not that those are the ones I noticed, 3 of which were parked. It's ok to say resources were stretched thin that day but if the police wanted to respond they easily could have.
Car TalkRe: V8 /v12 Mercedes.... by oseo1(m): 7:15am On Mar 17, 2015
In reality the performance difference between the v8 and v12 in most cars is marginal and it's not comparable with the difference in price. Let's use the G63 and G65 as an example, the G65 costs over $100k more than the G63, but gives you about 70hp more. It's 0-60mph time is only improved by 0.1seconds from 5.4 - 5.3.

Even the biggest fans of mercedes will tell you the price difference isn't worth the improvements over the v8 models (please note I'm only referring to the v8 amg models)

APC and PDP both do it, every one of the tops parties does it as well. What we should do is encourage our people to collect their "gifts" and still vote for whoever they believe in the most not he who shares the most money, rice, oil or whatever, regress of party alliance.

Side note: i heard in East Africa they use cold coke to buy the votes of the masses
Car TalkRe: Top 10 Most Expensive SUV 2015 (pictures) by oseo1(m): 5:18pm On Mar 15, 2015
This list is quite faulty, it's comparing prices of different trims of the different cars, what would be fair would be to take the price of the most expensive of each car then compare. For example you should compare the x6m, and not the regular x6 seeing as they are using the price for the ML63 in their comparison.

You are not legally allowed to ship some benzes out of the states, for example when the G63 was first launched in the states you were not allowed to ship it out. So you might want to confirm from a dealer.

Generally when you buy a car from an auction, the seller has about 7 days to being in the title, except where they state that it has no title.

Oga don't come here and say what u don't know.
Yes, american govt do not directly sponsor their professional athletes.
But the various athletic clubs receives support from govt n corporate bodies alike.
In the u.k, athletics clubs receive funding from both municipal n central govt.
With this funding, the clubs take care of their athletes n helps them compete.
Besides virtually all amateur athletes are under one form scholarship n they do receive training grants.
Now its a bit different in developing countries who takes sport seriously.
The govt funds and sponsor this athletes directly.
The govt establishe national athletic clubs that will be directly responsible for training, development, welfare, progress n competitiveness of both amateur n professional athletes.
The clubs employ national teams coaches, physiotherapists, trainers, nutritionists, psychologists etc for the athletes.
That's how in done in Jamaica, China, Ethiopia, kenya, Cuba n even Russia.
And that's why their athletes perform well in international competitions.
I only mentioned America because it is what I know, and the government does NOT sponsor any clubs, they have funding from sponsors in the private sector. And last i checked she is a professional, she should do what her mates are doing and go sign with the Nikes of the world and not wait on a hand out from government. I know several runners from the Bahamas who pay their own coaches, while I was in school George Williams was our athletic director and you would see gold medal winning athletes coming to train with him every day.
