Sahara reporters and their ctap again, can anyone actually say the airport is not in much better shape now than before? MMIA is better now than I have ever known it. The local airport is a completely different place as well. |
I own an element and it's one of most reliable cars I have owned, I would highly recommend it. I will say this tho, if u are looking for a big powerful sleepy car this is not it. |
Efcc DID look into oduah and they found nothing. She owned 47 properties before getting into government and has purchased 2 since then with legitimate money. They visited all 49 properties and found nothing wrong. This woman was a billionaire long before GEJ came into power why would she resort to stealing peanuts? Selah! |
Sahara reporters lost all credibility when I heard they were funded by gusau and el rufai. |
Like I said on another thread, this whole fiasco is politically motivated. Stella odia didn't sign any cheque, the spending got approved by someone above her pay grade how come no one has called them? |
sultaan: You mean you never even entered the jeep because you did not want betray the lion I understand once you go Jeep you don't go back. Some of your comparisons are not fair, the 301 is more comparable to the yaris, and actually compares very very well to it. Its better in terms of fuel economy, interior room, durability is yet to be seen though. In my opinion the grand cherokee floors the Prado though. The grand cherokee base model comes better equipped than the base Prado. However the cherokee doesn't have the 3rd row of seats. The dodge Chrysler jeep family doesn't really sell stripped down versions of their cars in Africa or anywhere else like Toyota and Chevy do. |
laplace19: It is your responsibility to show us the pictures @opPosted |
@siena if it was an older G wagon I'd agree with you, the newer ones have the same issues I have with the ML and GL series, they are a bit too computerised, so if they go in deep water they go bonkers. A few weeks ago there was heavy rain in my area and we had quite a bit of water at my estate gate. There were 2 GLs 1 r class and one G63 stopped in the water. Now I know no cars are designed to swim however there is something that mercedes isn't doing that the Chinese/Americans are. After saying all that I'd go with the G class to if it was for every day driving. This hummer looks a little tacky in my opinion. |
Orleans invest celebrated their 25th anniversary in Onne, rivers state. They put on a Lovely show featuring Ciara, Tuface and Akon. Ciara opened up the show( it was her birthday as well although she didn't mention it) tuface came on after a brief interlude with IK and Alibaba and then akon was the last musician before Dj humility closed the show.

aaidel: But then again authorized dealers in nigeria are charlatans giving us base models at the price of premium versions if you have the money to buy a new car in nigeria the authorized dealer should be the last place you should go as you will get the short end of the stickVery very true, that's the reason a land cruiser that costs $80k comes to naija and they sell is for 22-24m The real issue I have though is that someone approved the purchase. I can go up to anyone and ask them to buy me a rolls Royce but it doesn't mean they should. No parastatal or government agency should have the power to authorize this kind of purchase. There should be limits as to what kind/level of vehicle they can purchase. Forgive me for bringing politics into it. |
Lexusgs430: Fact. But it detects all ECU entries. And the OBD port is a first point - call for initial fault diagnosis.agreed! |
sultaan: Out the door 142kA base model 760 before taxes yea sure, if you have good options installed it could easily be over 200k and factory fitted armour is waaaay more expensive than after market stuff. the 760 hi security is a very very different car from the regular production 760, even up to the engines are different. i saw it priced online from 350k, by the time you add taxes that will be about 400k then import duty and all that other crap you are looking at about 500k. forgive me rough calculations. |
sorry oh but i don't believe this one, who are the dealers in the US that said a 760Li hi security should cost under 170k a non armoured 760 goes for that much. lets stop spreading lies. plus if cosmas took 120m and madam took 112m that leaves only 23m as the actual price paid for the cars. lets use common sense to judge posts before we start to rain curses on anyones head. |
It's funny how they are blaming her for everything, first of all no one has shown any proof that ties her to the vehicles, they are not in her name or in her possession. Plus it's the job of the bosses of the agencies to manage their spending not Stellas, it's their duty to say no if she makes stupid requests because they have to account for it not her. |
sholasys: Is this a jokeJokes right? Do u think it's beans to build a power plant or a refinery? It costs billions of dollars to build one nuclear reactor. Common gas turbine power plant sef, it will cost more than $0.5 Billion to build a 600mw gas turbine power plant. |
What people do with their money is their business, if they choose to donate how does it concern me or you? While I'm not a fan of Ek Clark, I have to say that our children and our people will also benefit from his university. True he may get stupid money off it but as long as the people benefit from it too I don't care. I for one do not want to send my children to university abroad for their first degree so every opportunity for a good Nigerian university is welcome in my eyes. |
Lexusgs430: Why second - guessing when a 10 second scan would point you in the right direction ?Unfortunately scans cannot detect everything. |
olivetree: @poster- If you have an option, i will advise you go for a one of the following, quest, siena, odyssey or a mitsubishi spacewagon. You get parts for those easily, and almost everywhere, unlike Ford. I knw thre are ford parts dealers somewhere around ojuelegba and in ladipo, and the mechanics for ford are few and not easy to come by. The Japanese cars are more expensive, but will pay u better in the long run. All the bestFunny enough the first 2 models of the quest were made by ford in a joint venture between Nissan and ford |
Have your mechanic check your intake, there is probably a buildup of dirt in there. That will probably help the high revving. The mechanic doesn't even need to remove the part. There is am intake/carb cleaner spray he can use to clean it. |
Another suggestion would be to check your fuel pump, but it's not a very likely option. |
chucky234: What a cluelessless chronic goon, you should find out the actual prices of the models of the two vehicles purchased, you yapping BMW only put used security vehicles for sale shows you are a birdbrain with void education. You didn't do your research, the $1.6m was for both vehicles I think you just made the guys point for him ![]() |
The base price of the 760li (standard no armoured) is about $150,000 by the time you add import duty and chosharis motors profit on it you will be paying over $200,000 so clearly the figures quoted for the hi security model by SR and Dino Melaya are wrong and if you look at the invoice the vehicles are listed as New not used so I don't see why people are quoting prices for used vehicles. Like someone said buying the vehicles might be immoral but I don't believe it's illegal. Most people calling for her head have no clue what is illegal or not. Like another person said even if she gets fired it will only treat the symptoms not the real problem. The real problem is that the average Nigerian is corrupt. So from when they are kids they cheat in school, then they pay for waec papers, they bribe lecturers, then graduate and either don't get jobs or get them through unethical means. And since they didn't study to pass in school they cannot perform on the job, however since their boss knows that they know his dirt he let's them keep working for fear that if he fires them they will put all his dirty linen out in the open. Whenever they become bosses the cycle continues. People say they are not corrupt yet the average Nigerian will drive against traffic to avoid holdup, or if stopped by police or lastma will drop some money to avoid being arrested. True change starts from each of us, until we all start living right and chastising those around us for doing wrong and holding ourselves and our wards responsible for their actions nothing will change. |
MMIA is in a better state than I have seen it at any point in the last 15 years that I have been travelling through it frequently. A mop in a bucket in the bathroom is hardly something to scream about. Anyone who knows anything about MMIA and can be honest and objective will give some credit to the minister. I have used the bathrooms and they are in excellent shape and do not smell bad. Let's be truthful to ourselves. The conveyor belt migh have a panel removed but it's still working. You cannot abandon something for decades and expect it to be back looking and functioning like brand new overnight. |
martcrown: somebody should pls say something abt thiswithout knowing all the facts I will have to ask if he is willing to marry her and wait the 2-3years. if he is then they should go ahead and marry. Next question is how is she getting to the states, because that wll determoine how long he will have to wait. If she is going on a student visa he can apply once she gets her F1 (I'm not 100% sure) same goes for most visa classes that qualify for spousal visas. What it sounds like to me (i have a wild imagination) is that she is going on a visitor visa is gonna marry someone or do some shady business to regularize her status and thats why he has to wait so long. |
bootlegaz: I wonder how you deal with lazy staff and dishonest clients in naija? I am not in for such headache. These are the 2 hardest parts of doing business in Nigeria, however i have a simple policy when it comes to staff, "micromanage and motivate" you have to stay on them, dont give them room to slack and motivate them with incentives and rewards. for the clients what i have come to learn is that you have to a high enough percentage of your bill upfront to cover all your costs so at the very worst you do not take a loss. With that said i have not really had any bad experiences with clients but i have heard horror stories. |
bootlegaz: Great point but most Nigerians and other Africans move back home cos they fell out of status. So, what are you doing now in Nigeria? Most people that moved back to Nigeria also have the wrong perception before moving. They thought they will land a great job in Mobil , Shell and others.Very good point about people moving with the wrong perception. When i came home i knew it would not be easy to get a job because of my background however i weighed my options and being close to family meant more to me than anything else. I currently run two of my own businesses, one is a concierge company, I basically help people live without thinking, i like to think of myself as a life manager i handle everything from bil payments, home and office repairs/maintenance, automotive and generator repairs, purchasing both local and international, to the simple stuff like concert tickets. I also have a media company that does photography and videography. |
CFCfan: California is actually the largest sub-national economy in the world, with a GDP of over $1 trillion. Bear in mind that the population of California is 33 million, yet it's GDP is more than twice the size of Nigeria's.funny thing is that the state is broke ..........go figure |
Going through all 17 pages of this thread has been quite interesting. the banter has been great, however i must say that there is some truth on both sides (nigeria vs america). I lived in the states for quite a few years and relocated back to Nigeria in 2010, people thought I was crazy for it because i just packed up my whole life and moved without a guarantee of a job or anything. For those looking to move to the states going the F1(student visa) route, the best advice i can give you is this - "do your research" don't apply to just one school, apply to several, do not apply to a 2 year college, junior or community college because you will NOT get a visa. The embassy only issues F1 visas to students planning to attend 4-year colleges (there are a few exceptions however i doubt that you will be one). choose your school for good reasons, the strength of their academic programs, the communities they are in, the research opportunities and things like that. if you are going to study medicine apply to schools that are known for medicine, yes you may not get in or may chose another school bbut still apply because when you have your interview they WILL ask you is you applied to the best schools in whatever field you choose to study in and it looks better if you did apply even if you did not get in. also apply for scholarships, most colleges have scholarships you can apply for. if you are on financial aid the strength of your bank statement is not as important. When you go for your interview if you know your onions about why you chose the school and the course you are very likely to get your visa. |
you can also change brands to get better performance, but at a higher price. the oem parts are not necessarily the best, they however usually offer the best combination of price, performance and durability. so if you are going for performance there are usually better options. |
She is heavily photoshopped you can't even tell if the makeup was good or bad |
texazzpete: Imagine this llama comparing clothes market to cars!No need for name calling, we are supposed to be adults here. I am not attempting to make it an innoson thing, I used them as an example, and for your information imports are expensive everywhere in the world. And since your fellow Nigerians have kolo mentality and believe everything foreign is better it's up to the government to stimulate growth in the sector. If you look at the transporters a lot of them are using innoson buses. Innoson doesn't have a range of passenger cars yet but I'm sure they will soon. There are many advantages to pushing our local automotive industry and it goes far beyond the sales of innoson vehicles. Take for example spare parts, we spend billions every year bring in spare parts (often fake), the local companies produce theirs here, creating jobs, they train service technicians, (more jobs) thereby keeping more money in our economy. I hear what you are saying about a free market, however growth of our economy should come first in my opinion. When the foreign companies are assembling here we can bother with a free market. |
Exponental: There is no need for an increase on tariffs. A good car (product) will sale without advert. That is a lie, who do mercedes, bmw, audi and all the top manufacturers spend millions of dollars advertising. If you look around the world it's only in Africa you will see that the local automotive industry isn't doing well, and that is because we do not patronise local companies. Take the USA, the government only uses cars by GM, Chevy and ford, you will never see an American president in a Mercedes as his official car or even one in his fleet |

a non armoured 760 goes for that much. lets stop spreading lies. plus if cosmas took 120m and madam took 112m that leaves only 23m as the actual price paid for the cars. lets use common sense to judge posts before we start to rain curses on anyones head.
