Herdsmen:
When will the Yoruba tribe get one thing right ....

They failed with their own security outfit... Yoruba have not gotten anything right as a nation in Nigeria..
maybe herdsmen are right.. since over 25 years of protecting Yoruba bushes and forest we’ve not heard of such barbaric activities.. till amotekun took over.

Guess it’s right to allow herdsmen manage Yoruba securities..if not Yoruba will kill themselves within a year..

Cowards don’t handle security.. fear go make a.m. shoot .. even breeze no safe..
I don't usually comment here, but I just have to say this: sit down somewhere, read this your writeup, and ask yourself if you deserve the education that helped you to know what to, where to, and how to type. You might want to question your state of mind into the bargain.

Oga I have spent a good number of years in the SouthWest & trust me, I know much about the Yoruba folks. I even speak & understand Yoruba. You guys always talk from both sides of your wide Amala & ewedu mouth.
You said you guys are not always about kinsmen but in 2015 & 2019, y'all supported an old retired general, a coupist, a jihadist & an illiterate for presidency despite your sophistication JUST because your kinsman was his vice president.
The result of that stupid decision is what Nigerians are suffering till date.
Btw, You are a foolish man.

Ha ha ha, I laugh in Sumatran. We, support Buhari because of Osinbajo? We supported Buhari because of the effectiveness of his propaganda, which portrayed him as a better option to the seeming ineptitude of Jonathan. We all knew Jonathan wasn't managing Nigeria well at that time, that was the ONLY reason Buhari was able to win. As for you living in Yoruba land for long and we talking with two sides of the mouth, all I'll say is, we are not core tribalists like Igbo's, infact you guys are the most tribalist in Nigeria, which I understand cos if my people are massacred like that I'll probably be more tribalist. If we were tribalist, we would've chased all Igbo's out of businesses in the west. Chew on that.

U don't need to explain much. I already know that kinsman nonsense is nonexistent in Yoruba land. That is why you always betray & sell yourselves to your enemies to slaughter. A common Yoruba trait & more common amongst Yoruba Muslims. Afonja comes to my mind.
Dindinrin. We don't do kinsmen things because everyone is responsible for his own bullshit in Yoruba land. If we were all about our kinsmen, you think we would allow Igbo people to monopolize the electronics and clothing business in ALL Yoruba land? No, we would rather want our kinsmen to make that money for themselves. So shut up and look else where for your tribal bullshitting.

It's obvious that Femi Adesina has lost his senses. So Apc has now started shifting their blame games from GEJ to OBJ.
OBJ is not a saint but trust me, he is 1000% better than that lifeless illiterate vegetable we have in Aso-Rock in terms of leadership.
THE FACT THAT FEMI IS NOW ATTACKING OBJ HIS ELDER & KINSMAN INORDER TO DEFEND HIS FULANI PAYMASTERS IS THE HIGHEST OF HIS MADNESS.
Kinsman radarada WO? Shey they curse you Igbo people with this kinsman nonsense you like shouting up and down as if you don't kill each other for land and even money? We don't do kinsmen here, we are all mutually exclusive of everyone except our immediate family members. If someone messes up according to our PERSONAL point of view, we clear them straight, all this kinsman nonsense is inexistent to us in yorubaland.

Romance / Re: She Is Always Speaking With Her Ex by Ostrogoth(m): 8:54pm On Apr 02, 2020
AfroKnight:
Let me paint a picture.

She continues to contact her ex without hiding it from you. You begin to think she’s at the least, honest with you cos she is not concealing this fact. After a while, you get worried at the frequency and nature of their conversations. So you complain about it. She becomes defensive almost immediately. She tells you there’s nothing romantic between them, that they are just friends. She may even imply (or declare outright) that you are insecure. This jab hurts you but “love” compels you to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Little by little, you are conditioned to condone this unusual friendship she shares with her ex. You raise your suspicions and she shuts you down again and again. Then she begins to call you a controlling and intrusive partner. She says you are letting your insecurities drive you.

Meanwhile, she’s having steady sex or going on dates with her ex. But you’ve been browbeaten to accept the lie she feeds you. Until one day she makes a mistake and you catch her red handed and then she gets angry or teary eyed and she walks away from the relationship, claiming that he seduced her in her moment of weakness or some other bullshît like that.

Bro, you are leading yourself to this bus stop. It is the worst feeling, when your gut tells you something and you fold your arms and watch it metamorphose into a nightmare. Make it a binary solution. She either limits her contact with her ex drastically or you breakup. If you condone nonsense she will take advantage and ruin you.
This right here is the true answer to his question. The guy from his speech, and his assertion of discipline when it comes to ladies, is grossly inexperienced. He even said he's not interested in sex (which is good, cos am a Christian too), while this girl is most probably used to having sex with the ex and would readily agree to a no sex relationship while she keeps getting it from the ex. From any point of view, he (aimuan, the op) can't ever be more than a dependable spare tire, cos she just broke up with the ex and she obviously hasn't got over him. He needs to give her space and let her rediscover herself (might take anytime btw 3-12 months of TOTAL separation-mentally, emotionally and physically-from said ex), then and only then should any self respecting man have a relationship with her.

I'm sure you belong to the dumb bandwagon of "south south isn't united" or "there's nothing like south south". We aren't all zombies down here who follow the orders of one emir or oba or God knows who, the majority will have their way and the minority will have their say, that's how it works here. Those boy's are just looking for settlement finish, if the govenors decide to go ahead there's nothing they can do about it really.
We in the west don't follow the obas either. They are mostly figurehead and lacking ability to command followership for anything against the public interest. BTW, I think south south militants are highly overrated cos despite of their supposed toughness, Fulani herdsmen still kill there sometimes. I always thought the day the herdsmen kill beyond igboland (in delta for instance) will be the day they start getting mass annihilation of cattle and herdsmen. We all know Igbo people are mere chestbeaters, their warrior DNA mostly died in the Biafra war, the cowards and the sons of cowards are those that remain, about 98%.

You may have a point here, never thought of it that way but now I see the logic. Yoruba Muslims are very liberal on average and NEVER engage in partisan Islam. MURIC is not even widely accepted or followed by any Muslim sect down here. Seems that this guy is just the front for a northern divide and rule agenda who know very well that we see ourselves first as oduduwa's sons first before we even think or talk about religious differences.

Why do all easterners always think that we westerners belong to Tinubu? PDP messed up and they were voted out doesn't mean Tinubu is anything. I mean Osun and Ekiti needed massive rigging and biased court judgements before APC could hold on to them while they lost out on Oyo state which is more sophisticated politically. Tinubu is smart politically, but things are already out of his hand at the moment.

Who is this afonja telling fictional stories about the Biafra war, so ojukwu will send a Yoruba commander victor banjo to attack his own Yoruba people ? If ojukwu wanted to attack Yoruba land he could have sent his bravest commander kalu ,

Go and read history and know why ojukwu sent banjo towards Nigerian capital Lagos, he sent him to distract the Nigerian soldiers which were already in Nsukka about to capture Enugu the capital of Biafra , banjo went there and betrayed ojukwu by arranging and negotiating with Nigerian soldiers on how bring down Biafra he retuned and ojukwu didn't waste time and excecuded him
I've read about the second world war and I recognise propaganda when I read one. Ojukwu executed Banjo cos he was paranoid not cos he was betrayed. All this Biafra propaganda is the tool of a few leaders to keep you guys on your toes; but anyways, that is none of my business. We yorubas are on our own way out and we don't need to play the blame game before we get Nigeria restructured so that all our resources are used for our own region and ours only. Ask Ojukwu's manhood (which is popularly supposed to live on) why Ojukwu and his fellow biafran generals decided to attack Ore in their bid to attack Lagos and capture the capital of Nigeria. Why can't he secceed in peace. That singular act made yorubas panicked and join the Nigerian army en masse, especially when they heard that your useless soldiers were raping into the bargain.

The voice of reason, fool. Some of you igbos (not all though; mercifully, most of your tribe have functional brains) think we afonjas desperately need you in Nigeria. Nothing can be further from the truth. The average Oduduwasson doesn't care if all igbos take boats into the gulf of Biafra and drown themselves there. We merely advocate one Nigeria (without the core hausa-fulani sharia states of course) with a Switzerland type of total federalism so that we can all develop together under one umbrella without being fragmented or being in each other's way. If full breaking up of Nigeria is the only way, you can count on full Yoruba support for IPOB, MASSOB or whatever you call yourselves. Stop shouting afonja afonja as if it was not Azikwe that betrayed your people into the hands of the Sardauna just so he can be the first president of Nigeria (an empty title, considering the prime minister had all the power).

He should have tried to convert El-Rufai to Christianity during his days in Kaduna and this brings my question for the day.

G.Os say they are springing up new churches to win new converts and spread the gospel.

So how come Adeboye has not converted Buhari despite meeting him severally?
How come Adefarasin has not been able to convert Obasa?
Why hasn't Omobude converted the Oba of Benin?
Why hasn't Osinbanjo been able to convert Garba?

But they task their followers to convert anyone they see.

It looks very lopsided to me and that's why I always take their words with a handful of salt.
Walahi, if I were an evangelist, I'd slap my daddy G.O for not being an example to me.

Mummymahdi:

Then why do we still sin? Am confused ooi

We sin because even though we are saved, our minds have been programmed to think and therefore follow the old nature and that is why the Bible says we must renew our minds with the Word of God Romans 12vs2.
Also to be carnally minded is death but to be Spiritually minded is life and peace (ROM 8v6). Death in this context means all that was characteristic of the old nature such as sin. The Bible tells us how to overcome sin though, please read and meditate on Romans 8 vs 10 to 11. Renewing the mind with the Word of God and by the Spirit of God is why you see new converts become more and more Spiritual as they grow older in Christ.

Daejoyoung:

Where did jesus say John 3v16 is his gospel? why do you take that as his gospel and not part of his teachings as well?
What about Mark 1v15.
And jesus said the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the gospel.

The gospel of jesus was the gospel about the kingdom of God, not specifically john 3v16.
jesus said we must forgive so that God would also forgive us, that was jesus teaching on how to receive forgiveness.

John 6:28-29 says, "Then they said unto Him, 'What shall we do that we may work the works of God?' Jesus answered and said unto them, 'This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He sent.' "
The gospel of the kingdom of God is also summarized into John 3:16 because there is no way you get into the kingdom of God without eternal Life which is a free gift of God according to John 3:16.
Jesus taught those who were under the law, today if you are really saved and have the Spirit of Christ within you, you'll find that you forgive people no matter how angry you were. I personally have experienced this many times. I've found myself praying for safety and blessing for those who hate me most.
The only commandment Christ gave us when He was going is the commandment of love (John13:34-35, John 15:12-17, 1 Corinthians chapter 13, etc).
As the op has rightly pointed out, we live in righteousness by the nature and Spirit of God within us as pointed out in Romans 8.
