It was double-double today for the APC. The APC men were in Lagos with supporters at Teslim Balogun. It was a campaign like no other. At the same time, same day, Tinubu's wife was leading another campaign rally for women in Calabar, also at a stadium. I have never seen this before.
Hoelujohn: Rubbish. They brought all members from South West states. I saw four mass transit buses that just dropped some people in my my local government in Ogun state.
If it is that easy, why not ask Obi to do the same and let's see how many millions he can transport to his campaign venues. Losers
Today's rally in Lagos by the APC was a neck presser for the opposition parties. It was a show of force that will give other contestants sleepless nights for the next couple of days.
Africum: The Presidential Campaign Rally of the All Progressives Congress APC continues today in Lagos. Everywhere is locked down for the campaign as the 'city boy's is back home for the campaign. Here are some early Pictures from the events.
Eniitankorede: This is the question on the minds of many people and myself. Even in southeast we never hear of any notable politicians defecting to or supporting Labour Party and Obi. They are treating Obi like a leper. Why is that so? Are they afraid or what? Can anyone explain why Labour Party is being treated like a leper.
What kain kweshion be this? Who will join a party that obviously will fail?
Divided into the corePDP (Ayu, Atiku, etc), newPDP (5-G govs), PDPlite (LP - Obi, etc), and PDPAPC(Chimaroke Nnamani, Bala Mohammed, etc) The party is gone... they can't make any impact in the coming election.
The jungle is gradually maturing on the side of Tinubu as PDP chieftains now attend Tinubu's campaign rallies. It was Chimaroke's name that initially caused a stir when it appeared in the list of Tinubu's campaign council. Now the speaker of the same state (Enugu - a PDP state), today attended Tinubu's campaign rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, technically endorsing Tinubu.
The event, had in attendance, the APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, represented by the Deputy National Chairman, South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, APC vice Presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, former APC Governorship candidate, Anambra State, Sen. Andy Uba, the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Edward Ubosi,, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri, Demeji Bankole, former Speaker House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, among others.
Hoelujohn: Bros are you ok like this? People that were forced to come. Heard there is attendance register for all civil servants. I don't know how true that is though. But take a look at the picture attached, are those guys happy being there?
You're probably the one not thinking straight man. Can you share with us a video where people were forced? or video where the attendees said they were forced to attend? The people dancing and singing here were forced? Stop smoking cheap weeds.
post=118657292: My friend you posted fake pictures of Buhari rally
Anyway, the same stadium was used... It might be a mix-up but I watched the rally and I have shared even a video of his arrival. U want to make it look like the campaign wasn't well attended. You failed. Watch again his arrival at the stadium and driving round. It was a massive crowd. Obi can't get this crowd anywhere... the reason for using canopy in a small place for campaign.
ElSudani: He will defeat Obi in the south-east. Forget the zombidients and their senseless noise. It is their trademark, they did the same thing to Buhari.
Peter Obi of the LP held his campaign in Ibadan yesterday while Tinubu was in Ebonyi today for the presidential campaign of the APC. It looked more like a case of a popularity test by each candidate. With the looks of things, however, Tinubu seems more popular than Obi in his home region. The same can't be said of Obi in SW. Obi had to change his campaign venue from a stadium to another location, small enough to accommodate the expected handful of followers to avoid the embarrassment that might come from not getting enough people to fill Adamasigbo stadium.
It will be a shame if Obi is defeated in his home region. All signals so far point in this direction and I don't see what Obi can do to turn the table.
First Picture: Tinubu in Ebonyi Second Picture: Obi in Ibadan
domDva: Tinubu’s TVC is conducting a poll in Hausa and decided to tag Obi as a pastor. If I were from the North, I will really be offended that this politicians really feel that Northerners have no brains , that all you need to do is touch their religious sensibility and they will loose their humanity .
This attempt by TVC is an insult to the North and all enlightened citizens, so these people really take us for fools without brains to think and analyze issues. Damn, the desperation in Tinubu’s camp is terrible .
I thought they said that internet doesn’t matter so why play all known and unknown gimmicks just to place your unstable candidate at an advantage.
The poll has even crashed because Obidients have all gone there …they even dressed Atiku in Igbo attire .
I thought you guys said there are 40% Christians in the north. Why the cry about TVC's labeling Obi a pastor? After all he started his campaign from the church asking the christians to take back their country
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi says he will consult with the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo on solutions to tackle Nigeria’s challenges.
Obi made this known on Monday at Protea Hotel in Ikeja, the Lagos State capital, during a meeting with the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
“He (Soludo) knows and he has the solution so I need to consult him to help me,” Obi said of the Anambra governor whom he fondly referred to as his brother.
The LP candidate also promised to adopt the Bangladesh model of 35% Affirmative Action, noting that he would create an atmosphere where 50 percent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme.
Of late, Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; and Obi, who was Anambra governor between 2006 and 2014; have been engaged in altercations on the state of Anambra economy.
Soludo had said the investments Obi left in government are worth close to nothing.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chieftain also said Obi can’t win the 2023 presidential election as there are “two persons/parties seriously contesting for president”.
It was a Sunday like no other for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We woke up to hear the news of the endorsement of his candidacy by Jonathan's men. As if that wasn't enough and in a cross-regional endorsement, everybody in Kano trooped out to walk for the same man. The long column of men and women dancing happily on the streets of Kano in support of Tinubu is something that will give the other contestants, especially Atiku and kwakwanso, a serious headache.
I don't think Atiku or Kwakwanso can get 1/10th the people I saw today in Kano on the street of Lagos or any city in the south west.
Superwave16320: Ahead of next year’s Presidential Election, key supporters and kinsmen of former President Goodluck Jonathan have endorsed the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as part of their commitment to having a Nigerian president of Southern extraction.
Operating under the aegis of Citizens Network For Peace and Development in Nigeria CNPDN, the supporters and kinsmen who earlier rooted to have Jonathan on the ballot, said since he declined to join the race, the right thing to do is to support Tinubu, who they said, has the structures and capacity to win the elections.
Earlier in the year, CNPDN, was among the first Southern Coalition to openly urge former President Jonathan to run for office on the platform of the APC.
The Coalition had also engaged prominent Southern leaders to prevail on the former president to join the race.
Although, Jonathan had promised to consult widely, he later declined to join the APC and enter the race, thus paving the way for Tinubu to emerge as the APC standard bearer.
At a media parley at the weekend in Abuja, National Secretary of the Coalition, Chief Francis Okereke Wainwei, who, like Jonathan, hails from Bayelsa State, said as patriotic citizens, they could not sit back and not participate in the electoral process of the country.
Wainwei noted that, “as patriotic citizens under the auspices of the Citizens Network For Peace and Development in Nigeria, we took it up as a burning need for us to be actively involved in the process leading to the election of Nigeria’s next president, who shall be taking over from President Muhammadu Buhari next year.
owobokiri: Your only goal here is to force everybody to see him as a dirty corrupt, inefficient liar like your candidate Mr Buulaabuuluu bluu buulaavaa.
It's all about a desperation to establish a narrative that suggests that "they are all the same". That's all. Within you, you have accepted that you have a totally terrible candidate. What you want to do now is to force the populace to believe that all candidates are terribles.. It's like the parable of the missing child in the bible Lol That way you think you might have a chance since you can then argeu than your "Mr Terrible" is better that their "Mr Terrible"..
Agbadosim is a menace to the society
The same with who? Obi is in his own world... hoping to lie his way into Aso rock with pandora account numbers in his pocket.
Obi is either a deliberate liar or incompetent... Choose one.
If he is competent, he won't be spewing the wrong statements and statistics all the time. And if you say he is competent, then he is a liar. He knows the truth but always wants to distort it.
thelegend1: This may seem as an unpopular opinion.
Shettima is quite visible and active for Tinubu and APC campaigns.
Okowa is a bit mute; the North know the South is divided amongst itself (SE especially, yes our tribalism goes all the way down to L.G.A), hence the house cannot stand and votes will be shared between PDP, APC and LP by narrow margins.
Datti on the other hand isn't doing visibly much to secure support for Peter Obi in the North. I can't begin to count the number of places PO travels to weekly to gather support, but he can't do it all alone.
All the same, 2023 elections is going to be quite interesting.
You can only give what you have. He has no weight...
