PoliticsRe: Femi Otedola's Yacht by otawa: 6:03pm On Mar 17, 2010
Having this Yacth lying idle in dirty water of Lagos CREEK is a bad joke gone wrong.

I guess same goes to the 'sunborn Yacth boat' that was brought to Lagos. It lays idle and rust away.

A year after the luxury Sunborn Yacht Hotel berthed at the Lagos Marina, it sits in complete disrepair on the quay of the Army Officer's Mess Headquarters, a mockery of what it was a year ago when it was received in Lagos.

The sparkling white paint of the vessel has faded into whitish-brown, while its lower part has started to rust away. Most of the windows on the yacht are broken, letting in the elements. An attempt to cover the damaged windows with polymer has been inadequate. Large chunks of the material have been torn to shreds by the lagoon's brisk breeze. Worse, the hotel has not operated since it arrived in Lagos

Good Stuff! I just hope I have heard the last of that word "CABAL"!!
You surely dreaming. One cabal is replacing another cabal.

The cabal that brought GoodLuck as acting President already took $3billion from national crude oil savings.

You guys better wake up to reality.

FL Gators:
Maybe, maybe not. We'll never really know.  . . . . I'm really feeling this guy.
He knows that the whole Nigeria, western world and the youths are watching him carefully. . . .

I say its better to hope for the good
I like your view.

But sorry, the only good thing he can do is 'FREE AND FAIR election in 2011' but I know it wont happen because of the new CABAL in PDP.

Why hope for that?
Want Abasha part II undecided

@Post
Another good news. . . .
I doubt. It is simply replacing with another criminal set of people.

Goodluck is yet to tell us what happened to $2,000,000.00 caught with his wife in MM in 2007.

May be, he will make Alarm a minister.
PoliticsRe: UK, Nigeria Prisoners’ Transfer Bill Before N’Assembly by otawa(op): 5:38pm On Mar 17, 2010
MrPrsdent:
but the bill says prisoners can only be transferred by consent. So its the prisoners choice whether to serve their terms in UK or Nigeria. You've got nothing to worry about
That exactly the joker!

who is going to verify that consent? Nigerian High Commission in UK?

what makes a prisoner?

The people in Nigeria already had enough problems to handle, now they want to add 'prisoners' from UK on top.
TravelRe: Poverty_in Britain! Nigerian_single_mother_of_4 by otawa: 10:09am On Mar 17, 2010
Some Nigerians prefer to be a slave anywhere else in the world, than be a king or queen in Nigeria. Of course if this lady goes to Nigeria, she will struggle, as in Nigeria, you have to look after yourslef and your family on your own. However, she and her children have no life in Britain.
S

Many Nigerians deceive themselves that living in an the UK or US is always better than living in Nigeria, I pity them
May be you should go ask the people in JOS whose families were just massacred.

And please leave my grandparents out of this conversation. We are talking about the here and now and not what the immigrations laws were in 1946 when my grandparents came over.
CRAP. UK is a white country and it remains same UK either in 1870 or 2090!

Any black there is second hand product. Your wish for this lady and her kids will not come through.

She is doing for her kids what your grandparents did for your parents.

It is known that BLACKs never want other BLACKs to progress; you just confirmed it!
PoliticsUK, Nigeria Prisoners’ Transfer Bill Before N’Assembly by otawa(op): 9:55am On Mar 17, 2010
Federal Government yesterday attributed the delay in the prisoners’ transfer deal between Nigeria and the United Kingdom to the non passage of the Prisoners’ Transfer Bill before the National Assembly.

It also said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would be signed between the two countries next month by which time the bill would have been passed.
http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=168798

Seriki maintained that the bill was designed in a way that would facilitate the transfer of prisoners by consent and not compulsion on the part of both governments and the prisoners alike
"We have made tremendous progress. We have fast-tracked what should be done and the bill is before the National Assembly and has passed second reading, to be read a third time after which it becomes law", he said.
Earlier, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bob Dewar, said the delegation was in Nigeria to assess the migration cooperation agreement between the two countries as well as take stock of other migration challenges between the two nations.
This is one BILL that should be killed.

Nigeria should not sign this PACT.  It is a deception, they will simply depot EVERYONE to Nigeria!

Nothing in Nigeria is getting better. Our prisoners in UK should remain there. We should not let Brits bully us into this!

The crime was committed in UK, sentence should be done there too.

Nigeria prisons already over crowded. Let UK also suffer a bit of what they made us went through from evil of Lugard since 1914.
PoliticsFood Shortages Ease In South West by otawa(op): 10:15am On Mar 16, 2010
Acute shortages of beef, peppers and tomatoes in parts of the South West began to ease yesterday as supplies started trickling in from the Northern parts of the country on Monday morning
.

http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=168718

This is very alarming indeed.

The North can actually starve us to death.

I would expect all South West Governors to put measures in place.

This is to ensure we can self-sustain ourselves with these items: Beef, Pepper and Tomatoes.

They should establish 10 ranches in each states

They should establish pepper/Tomatoes plantations in each states.

But I know, nothing will be done until one-day the North will hold us to ransom!
PoliticsRe: I Miss OBJ - Dele Momodu by otawa: 4:07pm On Mar 09, 2010
Dele just gave us a reason to put him in the same category as these FAILED thieves in Nigeria.

Instead of looking forward, to dream and work towards a greater dream, Dele would rather have us remember Mr Obasanjo.

He lost the little crediblity left in him.
TravelRe: Poverty_in Britain! Nigerian_single_mother_of_4 by otawa: 4:02pm On Mar 09, 2010
The lady will be deported as she has no claim to stay in the Uk and is not fleeing persecution in Nigeria.
if same 'white-British' had deported your grand parents, you wont be here today talking CRAP.

arrogant nonsense. See 'Black-British(my foot)', they always know more.

You know what shout all you can, your 'bad belle' wishes to this lady and her family can never stop them.
TravelRe: Poverty_in Britain! Nigerian_single_mother_of_4 by otawa: 2:28pm On Mar 09, 2010
Yes I started the topic but I didn't write the article did I? Now instead of having bad belle over me and my family's British citizenship what is your contribution to the topic?
now we know how your grand-parents got british pali as slaves and thereby making you british born!

It is not in your worth to be talking CRAP about british taxe payers.

Leave the lady alone, in another 20yrs her grand kids will be able to say they were born british too.

More people from Nigeria are welcome to UK, it is not easy but you can make the sacrifice today for your FUTURE GENERATIONS just like Elosela grand parents did for him.
CrimeRe: Pictures From Jos Massacre (viewers Discretion Advised) by otawa: 12:34pm On Mar 09, 2010
Sadly, this killings has been going since 1940s.

It is never ending story.

Solution is to break Nigeria into different countries like Yugoslavia did sometime ago.

For how long do we continue to kill ourself?

The only thing common among all the groups in Nigeria is just the name NIGERIA.

Good and how did your grand-parent got the British Pali?

why are you answering him/her
Let her answer. She started the topic and turn it to load of CRAP!

EloSela:
I am British by birth, and your issue with that is?

Third world organisation or whatever you chhose to call it is not the issue here. Why should they get what they didn't pay for? The NHS isn't a free service after all we the British tax payers are taxed to the hilt to pay for it.
yeah and how did your parents got the british pali?
TravelRe: Poverty_in Britain! Nigerian_single_mother_of_4 by otawa: 11:38am On Mar 09, 2010
I don't see why this lady should be given special treatment. Should the British taxpayer fund every foreign lady that was abandoned by her husband? This lady claims that she is educated but if she really is she would have known that the visa they stamped on her passport was a visitor's one and not one for permanent stay. I don't believe that she was that silly to be working as she said she was and had not known that she was doing so illegally.

There are millions of British citizens and LEGAL immigrants currently looking for work in the UK so why should this lady jump the queue so to speak? And even if she was allowed to work would she be capable of getting a job that would earn enough to look after her and her four kids and her mother. And what about her mother, a lady who has probably spent most of her life in Nigeria and who has not paid any British taxes which fund the NHS. Why should she get free NHS treatment over another 75 year old Nigerian citizen who is legally in the UK and has worked all their life here and paid taxes?

As I said her story is sad but I don't see why I, a British tax payer should be paying for her to stay. She should present herself to immigration so she can be offered assistance back home. I can't see immigration allowing her to stay anyway as she is nothing more than an economic migrant and she is not fleeing persecution in Nigeria. Methinks she had better start making preparations for her departure.
CRAP. load of it if you ask me.

As if we dont know how you ended-up with 'british Pali'

hisssss.

PoliticsRe: Truck Driver Confesses Lling The 19 Robbery Victims In Ijebu Ode by otawa: 2:47pm On Mar 08, 2010
Actually, that is a wrong assumption. When ever one is driving, one is meant to be AWARE all the time. Once is meant to be aware of potential risk and protective decision before it is too late. His failure to do so have cost the lives of others.

Also, at what speed is he travelling in a truck? Surely, when it is dark or when there is less visibility, one is meant to drive slower than usual and obey all road traffic signs? No?

The fact that we do not have light is not an excuse. Not all the roads in the UK are lighted, M11 and M3 will be a good example.
what a load of crap!

it is clear you have not been to Nigeria for a while or never use section of the road road.

At 9.30pm, it is already very dark. When you now hear gun shots around you, you do two things:

Increase your speed, hoping to make it alive Or run you car into the Bush and escape for your life.

That area of high-way is close to towns and in normal country there will be some form high-way light around the place.

The blame goes straight to Mr Obasanjo and Anennih.

Annenih  spent N300billion and could not refix this road as Minister of Works.

Mr Obasanjo spent $10billion and we still have darkness in Nigeria.

How come picture and info never got out until now?

And the biggest lesson for all: Only travel in Nigerian between the hours of 7am - 7pm.

Very sad, indeed.

I don't want someone that would possibly rely on me to survive. and I really think that men who don't have a stable job should think twice about marrying. I mean, no offense, but they just really have to do something about it. and I have to stress out, you can't live on love alone. What happens if the feeling is gone? You just can't simply trust your feelings. We all have to be really practical, seriously

It is simple, if Jonathan stays away from OBJ. He fails

I think if anything he should aggressively sought advice from OBJ and make his own choice on what he feels is good for his reputation and that of Nigeria.
Nigerians surely have short memories.

Advice from Mr Obasanjo? The man that derives pleasure in sleeping with his son's wife?

Is it not same GoodLuck whose wife was caught with $2,000,000. 00 of stolen Bayelsa money?
