We are all humans, there is a possibility that we go astray at certain times in our lives due to circumstances. You wouldn't understand people situations. If you have not been on the streets, you wouldn't know much that is on the streets, some streets are hell, some people just want a situation that could make or break their life, just to earn a meal, some have resigned to fate, and expecting the unexpected. I know our God is a loving Father, all I pray is to give them a second chance, spare their lives, not many people are opportuned to be born with a silver spoon, some are not even are privileged to have basic education and food on their tables. But, believe me, their story shall change someday and the glory of God shall be revealed. Happy Sunday.
ok, if you say so, God must be heartless ,partial perhaps even uncaring for letting them risk their lives in this manner, in fact i wonder what sort of God would let people live like this, unless he has already provided them with some thing they refuse to recognise due ignorance,to make use of to help their lives.(put food on their table) as you keep mentioning.

NB: this people do not look hungry or homeless to me.
they are just GREEDY!

The economy of Nigeria can make one do anything to survive, will you fear dead when you're dead by Default? Ain't no much difference between a poor man and a dead man only difference is a poor man is still an entity. Blame the past and present leaders. If we can't prosper as a country why not us affiliate with other nearby countries just as the UK comprising "NORTHERN IRELAND, ENGLAND, WALES and SCOTLAND" there are many nearby countries that will be ready to affiliate with Nigeria to form a UNITED COUNTRY. Just a suggestion.
this is if any country will accept us, nigeria has a bad reputation.

Fighting corruption, suppression of insurgence, infrastructure development, good governance, credible election and the watchword "change" will be an illusion on till poverty rate is drastically reduced to the reasonable level. APC, PDP, CPC, HIV, SSS, DPO among other are not Nigeria's problem.

" Change" is just in our imagination. The sad thing is,The state of the country has got worse. Since the "change"

According to the OIS services (an office that handles the BVN registration in Houston), the deadline has been extended to Dec.31st.

BVN registration should not have any deadline. They can block access to the account just like in expired password.

Paranoia or not, this is a move towards the new world order.
/
akuko negwu!, so if it is the so called new world order. Is it just nigeria? If it is? Why is nigeria so relevant to this new world and not Ghana, sierra leone, Gambia or pakistan? And what if decides i don't want to bank my money any more? Am i going to be forced to?
BusinessRe: BVN Deadline: 26m Bank Accounts To Be Frozen by otiigba1(m): 9:15am On Nov 01, 2015

Nigeria is a lawless country where a civil servant (central bank governor) has absolute power to seize money belonging to hard-working Nigerians without no just cause in the name of BVN.

If Nigerians do not patronize the banks by keeping their money in the banks, will this mad man in the name of central bank governor think about BVN? Instead begging Nigerians to comply with the BVN, he issued threat and disrespect. If all Nigerians pulls their money from banks, will the mad man (CBN governor) be in position?. He failed to realize that he is a civil servant who job is to manage money saved in by Nigerians which makes him a servant to every Nigerian that has money in the bank.

Central bank governor suppose to resign because of this threat. He has over stepped his boundary. This cannot happen in any civilized country. Lawless and hopeless politicians and CBN governor. Instead of issuing deadline for corruption crippling Nigeria to stop, he is issuing deadline on BVN.

I hope he reads my comment. In fact, if you know his email address or cell phone number give it to me make I send him this my comment for text message.

Absolutely! I mean, one would have thought that the banks needs their customers not the customers needs the banks.

I could not comprehend why the banks are bullying their customers. because of some BVN Rubbish.

If every customer decides to pull their monies out, then what? Are they going to be forced to bank their money? Nigerian GOvts are really clueless. Besides is this the most relevant thing do fixed right now in the country?.

It's retrogressive.
Absolutely ! Not, nigerians refused to be bullied by their banks. I would say. And i must add the banks needs the customers not the other way round.

What if like some people are already doing the customers decides not to use the banks any more? Will they be forced to?

What's your opinion about single fathers?
Its very sexist placing blame to women when we have men walking away from their families and leaving their children behind. A man will decide to impregnate a woman and leave her to cater for herself and kids . Yet, the society won't let women who have decided to pick up the slack left by these irresponsible men REST. Behind every single mother there is an IRRESPONSIBLE AND ABSENTEE FATHER. Why can't men decide to raise their kids , since they want a child with a male role model so badly.

I apologize for my rant but the sexist talk on nairaland gets to me a lot. A lot of men who have no idea about women and the oppression they face in Nigeria just come to nairaland and talk off hand.
Agreed, no father ( id!iot) should walk out on their child/children regardless. How ever it takes two to tango. I ve heard women discussing on how to get pregnant by a guy and then they dump him and keep the child. How dysfunctional is that?

NB:Apology accepted tongue

You see bro, the issue of BVN ending today or whatever na big story, na mumu go believe that kain thing. Shay you dey understand? If the money wey dey your sist. bank account nor fit flash mtn to mtn nor just bother to panic, just tell her to open new one. On the contrary, if her account is damn loaded and fat like rick ross belle or the money many like Nigeria problems just tell her to chillax. The deactivation package wey these banks dey talk about na just to make the bank account inactive. You dey feel me so, guy? So, if your sist. just wan collect her pepper back from her bank account she just need to provide some documents like the usual utility bill and valid id card only. Nor fear bro, we dey your back! If the banker nor wan give your sist. her money wey she work for, just holla me guy. Then the banker go tell me whether na hin work the money put for the account.
me thinks you should seriously consider comedy, acting or radio voice over as a job grin grin grin proper funny comment.

You wish she wouldn't be able to raise her children but sorry to disappoint you, it is not always the case. However kids need both parents.undecided
Agreed. children needs both parent, i must add some single mothers are either in denial or living in some fairy tale land that they can do it without a male role model/father figure for their kids. Its never the same without a man. My opinion anyway, you are welcomed to disagree tongue

Going by your logic neither can a single men ever raise a child/children no matter how they try(how silly is this?) Barrack Obama was raised by a single mother remember? So many well-behaved, successful men and women were raised by single parents, stop posting nonsense. FYI widows and widowers fall under this group too, so stop making people feel bad about their situation.
am guessing you are speaking from experience right? digressing, barack obama as an example? One in ten million, look! My point is its better to have two parents than one ok! Whether you agree or not, feel as bad as you would like, truth be told. i repeat a single mother could never raise a child/ children (even if you a super woman) i ve also heard a lot of single mother's lament on how they wished there is a father figure ( male role model) for their child/children. My opinion anyway.

Most of the things you wrote are correct but as a parent of grown-up children ...... who by the grace of God are turning out to be a blessing to me and my wifey,... l want to posit that "Proper training does not start at the level Tony was (Under-Graduate!)!
As a matter of fact, your "character and values/morals" are 90% formed by the age of 16yrs.

The time to start training your children "properly" is from a very early age where you impact VALUES, MORALS AND THE LOVE OF GOD ( note: l did not say "FEAR"wink into their hearts.
Follow-up by leading an exemplary life in their presence as well because children "copy" more, that "listen" more.... to their parents!
You just have to practice what you preach if you want them to take is as their character.

Even the Bible said "Train your child, and he will give you rest...in your old age"!

What l have seen is that most parents neglect the most important "formative years" of their children.... only to come back later when they have made all the money they want, to try to "buy character, values and morals".... with money, for their children.
It just doesn't work.

Once the "foundation is good", all you need is just "maintenance", to keep the building looking good for a long time.

But if the foundation is bad, ..its a lost cause because you can only take a Camel to the river, you cant force it to drink!
An adult child does not really listen that much.
(Relate this to a child and you will know what l mean).

I also think Fathers have the "majority of the work/role to play" and wish some mothers will understand that they can halve their trouble/effort, ...if they allow their husband to do the "extra work" but what with the level of "Single Mothers" nowadays, that seems impossible!

If were both parents are together, its still a 'struggle' , not to mention where the child has no father-figure.

It is also important that a child has someone he looks up to, better his/her parent.

God help our children.
