Yes you can apply as you see fit.
Coconut oil and olive oil are organic so it shouldn't be a problem. It is the mineral oil (baby oil) that you should be wary of. I know it smells heavenly and gives babies that distinct baby smell but it isn't really good for their hair or body.
OK. Thanks. Will follow your recommendations.

don't use soap everyday. Once a week is fine. You can rinse with only water daily
Thank God I asked o. I have been using soap since birth. Really grateful for the reply. Any need for oil? I have been using Olive Oil.

zaynie:
Hair shampoo.
We used Aveeno hair and body wash from when she was a baby. I learnt from here to wash her hair with soap once or twice weekly. For other days, I just pour water and comb as soon as we step out of the bath.
I think Sebamed shampoo also has great reviews.
As soon as she was around 3m (most likely before) we started using those soft cotton bands to make puffpuff and this helped greatly as we didn't need to comb the hair everyday.
Right now (she's 26m)we (Muna and I) use the same shampoo and conditioner which is V05 and then she uses Cantu (since she's a naturalista tongue) hair custard and next day curls. We also use detanglers and Olive Oil hair mayonnaise (Olive oil is the brand name). Coconut oil gives us shine all days and every day wink.
Good luck with the hair.
(Put in mind that I have a forest full of hair that grows really fast and thick and the women in her father's family have really long hair)

Modified: Organics is the brand name.
Olodo wee nor kill me embarassed

Giddyperson, if she scratches, it might be the heat or sweat and product residue. You can also wash her hair without using soap. Let water run through it to wash away the water soluble products and dry it thoroughly without using heat (hair dryer)
Try to make her hair for her. Split into large or medium sized puffs or according to how full her hair is. Don't binge on the custard. I don't use it except if her hair is in a bun cos I hate gooey stuff.
Kisses to her kiss
Thanks for your response. So I am not supposed to wash the hair everyday? OK. Thought it was still early to start using shampoo. Will start now. What about oil? Any need?
Zaynie would come and answer you. My baby sweats a lot so I've decided not to use any products on her hair cuz it makes her scratch her hair a lot. What I need is a good shampoo and conditioner which I'm yet to buy since then grin I've even forgotten the replies I got when I asked the question, I'm waiting to read your replies.[/quote
OK. Thanks. She must really have a full hair.

Good morning mamas, compliments of the season! Biko I need your assistance. I remember a time when hair products for baby girls was discussed on this thread but can't locate the page.
Please, when can I start using shampoo on her hair? And which one should I get? I remember that it was said that we shouldn't wash the hair everyday.
Zaynie, Muna 's hair is an inspiration to me. My daughter is just 8 weeks old. For now, I just wash the hair when she is bathing with her bathing soap and then apply olive oil and comb.
Thanks in advance for your contributions.
Cc Zaynie, Giddyperson, and other experience mamas.
FamilyRe: 5 Things You Must Not Do To Your Husband On Christmas Day by Ovems(f): 11:33am On Dec 24, 2017
No offence to the op but I am really tired of hearing things like this. No body is concerned about the woman o, she is always expected to make all the sacrifices. I would rather see a thread that says what a couple should do to each other.

I am even more concerned about what he used to cut his hair to that level. She should be happy that he didn't hurt himself. Kids shouldn't have access to sharp objects.

Thanks, but the pain is not from the breasts oh. I learned about the tips and areola on this thread too, but the pain I'm talking about is from my stomach o. Was told it's uterine contractions as the uterus contracts back to initial shape. Very painful sturvs embarassed embarassed but my nipples are not paining me sha
OK. True. That too is very painful. It will pass though. Just keep enduring it. Lol. The sacrifices of a mother is unending. Concerning the sleep thing, I have heard of mothers with maybe a 7 year old child that still have to wake him up at night to pee. It is well with us sha.

Good afternoon , sorry to quote you. I am a peeping member but want to contribute to this as I have also learnt alot from this thread.
The breastfeeding is painful because she is sucking on just your nipples. same thing happened to me during my first and my mother in law told me to apply Vaseline (it worked) . But with the second, I applied what we were taught in antenatal class by trying to put not just the nipple but the whole black around around the nipple, the areola, or most of it anyway, and I didn't have any pain. You can check some YouTube videos too. I hope this helps.

FamilyRe: OPINION: CAN I DO A REGISTRY AND TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE SAME DAY? by Ovems(f): 1:19am On Oct 02, 2017
Yes it is. You can choose to have the traditional first, that way, the elders won't be able to waste precious time with all those unnecessary drama since the registry would have given you time already. Or you can do the traditional last. Your choice. But it's very possible.
PoliticsRe: What Do You Love About Nigeria? by Ovems(f): 8:38am On Oct 01, 2017
Nigeria is a beautiful country with beautiful people. Love our diversity and strength. Yes we have bad leadership and few bad citizens but all in all, we are good people who have freedom (not 100% though but then again, no one is totally free).
Don't know why we always talk bad about the country and expect to prosper in it. Pray for the country for in its peace you shall have peace.
We have all the resources to make us a great nation, both human, natural and mineral but like I said earlier, we have bad leaders and not just the political leaders but leaders in every sphere, even in the home.
Without points for language, u may not meet the eligibility criteria 60/100 of their PNP points grid. Besides, you need ielts for express entry if you plan to use the 600 points frm nomination to get ITA. Saskatchewan PNP usually opens periodically without any notice . I think you can open an application once you have the requirements but will only be able to submit whenever they open again. Whenever they open you may likely hear on this thread.[/quote
Really grateful for your response. My husband is the PA and I think he had about 75points (I can't really remember now but above 60) when he checked. That's why I wanted to know if it's still very necessary to do the test.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Ovems(f): 12:49am On Sep 25, 2017
Hello house, I just visited the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominate program website (for the first time) to get information but discovered that the program for skilled immigrants is closed for now. please any idea when it will be reopened?

Also, I saw on the website that if you are from an English speaking country, it not compulsory to submit an English proficiency exam score but you won't get points for that. is it really compulsory to do the test.

Note that I have a family member there.
Thanks in advance and so sorry for being repetitive in case these were just treated. Don't know how far back I would have to read to get the informations.

As quick as some of the male folks on Nairaland are to calling most actresses oloshos, I am impressed that no one has ever called her that. Rather they all acknowledge that she works hard. The ones when e too pain go say she no fine. But no one denies that she deserves her success.
