Like you mentioned above, I also think VOs deny visas based on their mood. The day I went, there were 3 cubicles 7,8 & 9. Cubicle 7 had one lady with a very straight face, in my presence she denied virtually everyone she interviewed.
My people, I had to resort to praying for favour and not to be interviewed by her. Just 3 more people before me, the lady left her cubicle and didn't return till I had been interviewed and gotten my visa.

Let's all do our best, be honest in all our responses and pray for favour. My passport was virgin, I have never even crossed cotonou let alone Ghana as I have never tried this whole traveling out thing. This was my first ever visa application and fiam! 2yrs.

I think people with good career background is also a plus, remember they gave provisions on the DS-160 form to fill in your employment history. I remember filling that part with my three last jobs and giving clear details of my functions during those years. I have this theory that the VOs actually scheme through submitted forms a day prior to the interview date. Hence, they would normally have made up their minds on whose to approve and not to.

that has been my style o, I tried it last year and it worked I bought tickets on the 3rd and moved on the 6th so show you how cheap it was, it was about 160k roundtrip Lagos to Newcastle, and also the U.S is usually even cheaper sef, some airlines will do 105k sales around Sept, Oct, so I advice for you to postpone your family vacation till after summer, if you attempt it now, na for you to pay through your nose o.
As for the visa, i'm still LMAO on " pikin whey winch send no dey fear".....lol. It will be well

Myself and hubby drove past the embassy today and he just said see your friends office, meaning that na me be regular customer. can you imagine the wash . I'm just filled with positive hopes that I will get this visa sha.

I think not expecting so much makes one feel relaxed. i have never used my international passport before but prior to my interview, I just went in there and answered all asked questions with an open mind. Besides, they will never ask you anything beyond what you filled in your DS-160.

Thing is i didn't really like the way people were standing just to get a visa and the conversations were not private. That's not cool.
Like i said before, the USA can eat dust. There are other countries i can go and have fun and i won't even miss the US. I know majority of peeps in here just wanna go the d US for greener pasture. For me am going to the US to add my little kobos to their economy. (Pure tourism). so na both of us loose.

39. Enacting a national mortgage system that will lend at single digit interest rates for purchase of owner occupier houses.
40. Injecting extra N30bn into the Agricultural sector to create more agro-allied jobs by way of loans at nominal interest rates for capital investment on medium and commercial scale cash crops.
41. You farm, government buys, guaranteeing a minimum price for selected crops and facilitate storage of agricultural products as and when necessary.
42. Creating a national infrastructural development bank to provide loans at nominal interest rates exclusively for this sector.
43. Construction of 3,000km of Superhighway including service trunks
44. Building of up to 4,800km of modern railway lines – one third to be completed by 2019
45. At least one functioning airport is available in each of the 36 states.
46. Ending gas flaring and ensuring sales of at least half of gas produce, within Nigeria
47. Speedily passing the much-delayed Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) and ensuring that local content issues are fully addressed.
48. Establishing at least six new universities of science and technology with satellite campuses in various states.
49. Establishing six centres of excellence to address the needs of special education
50. Prioritising the reduction of the infant mortality rate by 2019 to 3%
51. Reducing maternal mortality by more than 70%

60. Amending the Constitution to remove immunity from prosecution for elected officers in criminal case
61. Initiating action to amend the Nigerian Constitution with a view to devolving powers, duties, and responsibilities to states in order to entrench true federalism and the federal spirit
62. Reforming and Strengthening the Justice System for efficient administration and dispensation of justice with the creation of special courts for accelerated hearing of corruption, drug trafficking, terrorism and similar cases of national importance
63. Establishing world-class sports academy and training institutes and ensure that Nigeria occupies a place of pride in global sports and athletics
64. Reviving the Nigerian football league and putting incentives in place to make it as competitive as other national leagues.
65. Putting in place measures to identify talents early and ensuring their participation in local and international games to enable them become professionals
