My post is not whether what Katsina is doing is right or wrong but to illustrate that all citizens aren't treated equally if they are not in their States/ethnic homelands.

In the North we don't follow political parties, we voted APC, a political newcomer, over the more established PDP. The real issue is, why would the North vote a christian-southern-pastor over a Northern Muslim?

It is not by force to support other regions over your own region. Your region is welcome to field anyone you wish, and your people are welcome to vote anyone you wish. No pressure.

However, the realities on ground are not about emotions and sentiment. It is about bridge building, the North is building bridges to the SE out of fairness and we believe they will do the right thing at the right time.

What exactly do you mean by the North and why do you think everybody in this North are voting for the same candidate?



Political parties determine the performance of a candidate in an election. There's no mistake about this simple fact.


By Feb, 2015 the APC had become the largest party in the North.


If Buhari had contested the election under the banner of SDP, Labour Party or APGA, he would have lost.

In presidential elections, numerous interests comes into play and 2023 won't be different.

1) The interests of the PDP to return to power.
2) The Interests of Atiku to be elected president.

4) The Interest of the S/West in the presidency.

If Yorubas truly want a southern unity, they ought to allow equity, fairness and unity in the south for once by burying their 2023 presidential ambition for Southeast.


Yoruba man, Obasanjo ruled Nigeria from 1999 to 2006.


Another Yoruba man is current vice president since 2015 to end in 2023.


If Yorubas are honest enough, they ought to bury their 2023 presidential agenda as a sacrifice to unite Southern Nigeria, and watch how Igbos will reciprocate this love going forward.



But if Yorubas insist that its all by politics and that Presidency is not given on platter of gold like they always say to taunt and mock Igbos for asking to produce the next President of Nigeria come 2023, then there is nothing like Southern unity or Presidential zoning at all in Nigeria. In that case, Northerners have equal right to produce the next President cos there is no sincerity in the Southern clamor to produce next president if the South isn't rooting for Igbo presidency.

So you think the reason why there's no strong contender from the SE is because of Yoruba presidential ambition?


If no Yoruba is running for the presidency, will this automatically make a S/East candidate to win the presidential primaries of the PDP or APC and eventually the 2023 presidential election?

Nigeria came out of the Civil War as a Nation after the War had been won. You may not agree but that was what happened after people fought and died for it because of the Faith they had that it was the Nation that the Almighty had given them.

In Nigeria, a man who is from I'm State, who did NYSC in Katsina and joined Katsina State civil service in 2003 and Katsina State still employe him on contract basis and refuse to give him permanent appointment because he is originally from Imo State.

In a nation, there's equality of citizens and the citizens see themselves as one.

PDP is prepared to offer the NC/NE the presidency, 2 regions that have never held such a position. I personally think the NC should be given the ticket for national unity, however the internal workings will reveal how things go as time moves forward. Moreover, the SE will be given the VP ticket, this is true inclusion. What is the better offer for the SE or NC/NE? The answer is nothing.

APC wants to give a region that will have 16 years as President/VP the ticket again before others in the south. This will spell doom for APC as NW/NE/NC + SE/SS equals victory. The SW is politically isolated. The only way to beat the North is for APC to offer the ticket to the NC/NE before PDP does.

Politics is about uniting interests of various parties, not selfish ambition of party members.

Political parties determine 70% of the success in presidential election.

If the election is conducted today, the PDP will be defeated because the party is weak. They will need to do a lot of political engineering between now and 15 months if they hope to win in the 2023 presidential election.

The military profession is not less educated than the Academic Profession.

A lecturer with Bsc and a Professor are still within the same Academic Profession just like a Nursing sister and a Matron in the Nursing Profession.

The Lecturer with Bsc and alots of experience can be compared with a Major in the Army.
The Professor can be compared with a General in the Army

There was nothing like Katsina State in 1962.


This document is issued by the appropriate authority to State the results of the candidate. It's not the same thing as the results of the examinations released by Cambridge.

You can compare Buhari with a particular named processor (e.g Prof Ambali, Prof Shirez, Prof Rahul or Prof Cohen) and not with professors in general.

Buhari is a person while professor is a rank.


Compare ranks with ranks and not an individual HOLDER of a rank in the military with ranks in the Academics.

Professorship is the the highest rank in Academics and a General is the highest rank in the Army (except in certain circumstances when a Field Marshall is appointed).



A Professor knows so much about a little aspect of human endeavours (his field). However this doesn't makes him an expert or even knowledgeable in all areas. A General in the Army knows so much about Military matters.

In the Military, there are different sections like Signals & Communication Corps, Medical Corps, Engineering Corps, Armoured Corps etc.

A Professor of Molecular Biology knows so much about chemical reactions at cellular levels but may not know anything about Military Strategies, Administration of Criminal Justice or Aerodynamics.

Buhari retired as a Major-General in the Army.

This rank is equivalent to Associate Professor in the Academics.

A General in the Army is not just an educated but also an administrative post.

This is not a certificate but statement of results release by the school upon request by the candidate.

The picture affixed was the picture of Buhari when the statement of results was issued and not the picture of Buhari when the exam was written.


The attachment of pictures to results of examinations is a very recent policy. There was nothing like that when I wrote my own SSCE.
