Fulanis have heavily intermarried and Intermixed with the Hausas (especially the elite and middle-class)... The Hausa elite and middle-class are the only ones who can save Hausa land, but will they be saving Hausa land from their wives and inlaws (fulanis)?

Abeg forget Hausa people or northern minorities muslims. The only ones you can pity for are the 2-4 million Hausa christians who are indingenes of Kano, Zaria & Katsina. ...These ones need to emigrate to join Plateau, Southern Kaduna & Gongola and we join the south to fight out of this useless country.
Why do you think anybody needs your pity at all?

There are so many problems in your own State, why not pity your people and solve just half of these problems sir?

The problems of Nigeria is very similar to the problems of Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania and other African countries.

They are largely economic problems which stem from the inability of the African peoples to use what are readily available in their environments to build their houses, roads, manufacture their own medicines, vehicles, and produce enough foods to feed their populations. These problems are NOT caused by the Fulanis or any particular tribe and won't be solved by a 'We Vs Them' solidarity or antagonism.

if you read my later comments, I agreed to the fact that what he did is terrorism and I clearly compared him with others in his league who invaded other peoples territory for spoils of war, like King Solomon and David in the bible, the greatest of all war criminal and looter , King Julius Cesar the ruthless war criminal who is barely second to Solomon in history, British Monarchy on colonization expedition, and Adolf Hitler

all this people forcefully took control of other peoples territory through bloody war killing and looting, but then the topic is about Dan fodio and the little good about him, just has we talk of the others and the little good about them and their conquers
Which war did King Solomon fight and who were the combatants?

Usman fodio used taqiya to conquer the north.
His great grandson armadu bello continued his legacy of impoverishing the north.
Ahmadu Bello was a great leader of the North.

He built many schools, constructed many hospitals, roads and a university. He also encouraged girl child education.

If the subsequent leaders after him had acted like he did, the North would have been a better place.

Your conclusion about Fodio leading citizens of Gobir to riot against their own king beats all reason and imagination.

Imagine an alien coming into sokoto today, and somehow convincing present day citizens to riot against the sultan.

First, you can see all sorts of logistical problems with that, and finally you should ask where was the king when all these were happening.

The truth was he killed the king, and somehow convinced some citizens that he was fighting for a purer form of islam, same way Buhari is locking up his opponent, because he is fighting corruption. Yet some citizens didn't accept Fodio for a long time, and those he simply murdered in the name of islam. Yumfa, the son of the sarkin Gobir was on of his victims.

Having accumulated power and resources, Fodio sent his cousin to Kano to replicate the same technique, and it worked, because he was a well educated strategist who understood how to confuse the masses with religious.

BTW, Alimi used the same technique in Illorin to subdue the greedy general working the northern borders of Oyo empire called Afonja. That's why Illorin has a Fulani emir today instead of an Oba.
You like projecting your own biased assumptions as the Gospel Truths.

Usman Dan Fodio was a religious leaders and an advisor to the king of Gobir. The king even enrolled his son and heir, Yunfa in Dan Fodio's classes.

When Yunfa ascended the throne, he noticed that Dan Fodio was given religious directives to his followers and adjucating on civil matters based on Islamic laws.
Sarkin Yunfa misinterpreted all these as threats to his rule, so he expelled Dan Fodio from his Royal court and issued some royal decrees aimed at reducing the spread of Islam.

Meanwhile, Dan Fodio who by then had fled to Gudu has amassed large followers comprising mostly of poor Hausa masses and some Fulanis (the Fulanis were a minority settler tribe in 1804), teaching them about the Shari'ah Laws.

Attempts by Sarkin Yunfa to dislodge them from Gudu were seen as religious persecution, prompting Dan Fodio to declare Jihard against Sarkin Yunfa and Gobir Kingdom.

In summary, what happened was a clash of interests.

The bolded is what I need to be hearing and reading. Denying reality doesn't make it less real. Changing the reality is a much better way of going about it.

The facts on ground are that the Fulanis have a vested interest in Illorin emirate, and the Ilorin emirate bows to the Sokoto caliphate.
Extra facts being that this cultural domination only started about two hundred years ago, when Alimi carried out a wicked coup against the Yoruba landowners.

What Yorubas have to do is to acknowledge the current Fulani usurpation of cultural headship over Ilorin, and then ensure to reverse that injustice. Denial of the current fact, is like playing the ostritch.
It's tempting but misleading to judge the historical events of the 19th century with contemporary parameters.

1) What happened in Ilorin around 1820 and many other political entities of that era was a struggle between States/Kingdoms/Empires and not strictly an inter-tribal war as we now understand the tribes.

2) Alimi did NOT invade or even killed Afonja (Alimi actually died before Afonja).
The Ilorin Jaa'ma (Muslim Ummah comprising of people of different ethnic backgrounds) allied themselves with Sokoto Caliphate which was the nascent Muslim State just directly up north of Ilorin.

3) This Ilorin Jaa'ma did so to prevent themselves from being ruled further by Afonja , who though had relied on them and used them to secceed from Oyo Empire but nevertheless wasn't a Muslim himself and had no intention to become one.

4) The Ilorin Emirate under Abdusalami as Amir Al-Muslimi (the leader of the Muslims) and it's subsequent affiliation to the Muslim Sokoto Caliphate was constituted much more later after the death of Afonja.

6) With time, the Ilorin Emirate transformed from a Theocracy into a Monarchy just as it's often the case everywhere.

7) It should be noted that the Jihard of Usman DanFodio started as a religious war and not really an inter-tribal war.
The Fulanis were a settler minority tribe in 1804 and the indigenous peoples would have closed ranks and killed them off if they had carried out the Jihard as a FULANI Vs Non-Fulani inter-tribal war.

The descendants of these non-Yoruba, non-Fulani group of northern origin are the peoples that call themselves GAMBARI. There's nothing wrong in people excising their constitutional rights. Most igbos I've seen are actually behind ipob and fully in support, if the supreme leader Nnamdi kanu can suffer in prison for the sake of biafra, what then is a sit at home that biafrans cannot comply with? The problem is that igbos is that they love money too much, but would you rather make pennies under fulani subjugation than give your children a legacy of biafran nation that would be the pride of africa? It's biafra or nothing, the sit at home must continue either anyone likes it or not.
Although I resepect the right of the Igbos or any other ethnic group to secceed but I don't believe that the new country will automatically become a first world country just because they have seceeded.

Who are the people that will make up this utopian country? Are they the same people presently in Nigeria or they will be imported from Spain, Malaysia, Canada or Singapore?

Well, Islam is a way of life, it touches every aspect. But your Bible says do not be yoke with unbelievers does that not extend to marriage too? Anyways, I have given you Islamic verdict and you're just deviating. Why don't you worry about Catholics not wanting to marry from Christ embassy or Anglicans avoiding marriage with Winner's Chapel? Tired of this back and forth plus you're not even honest to admit that Christian men will never respect their non-Christian wives faith.
1) What is yoke and who is an unbeliever?

2) Whoever Catholic or Non-catholic marries is none of my business.

3) All over the world, self preservation is the norm. The embargo on who a member of a group (be it a religious or ethnic group) can marry is to prevent erosion of the group's identity

4) In my own views, individuals should marry whoever they love and love them in return.
However, frictions that emanate from great dissimilarities in worldviews, norms and status can reduce the happiness provided by love.

5) In Nigeria, we live in highly patrichial society. The Husband is the head of the family and he often decides what he wants for his family.

6) Imported religions are great problems for the black man.

What do you expect Wikipedia to put before? It was through Fulani that Emirate got into Ilorin so that's what will be in Wikipedia and we Yorubas are not denying it. I can tell you for a fact that Fulani does not have any monarchy system that they initiated, even when they were in Futajalon even other ethnic group in Senegambia then like the Mandigo still had a system, Fulanis just copied the Arab system of Emirate and adopted it, and there only stronghold where they style themselves the most in even in Nigeria, in other West Africa countries no one recognises them as practising Emirate apart from the Normadic culture that they are known for. So if you talk about Oba, Baale, everyone know it
Yoruba for that, Igwe, Obis every know it Igbos, but Emir is not from Fulani and people should stop appropriating it to them, some time ago the Olu of Iwo even style himself as Emir of Iwo before he was warned to do mess our culture for the Arab culture. The Emir of Ilorin na full blooded Yoruba man, that is a fact
.Dues to cultural assimilation and social changes, the Fulanis in Ilorin have become Yorubanized.

However, we need to understand that in Ilorin, ethnic identities is subsumed under the Islamic identity.
Ilorin people are a blend of people mostly from Yoruba but with some Fulani, Nupe, Hausa and Kanuri origins.

But the emir of Ilorin is the constitutionally recognised traditional ruler of Ilorin
How does this change the ethnic identities of Ilorin sir?

If you go to Ilorin and stay for a week, you will see that the city share more in similarities with Ibadan, Ogbomosho ,Iseyin than Gwandu, Sokoto or Funtua.

The Emir of Ilorin is sustained by politics. An average person on the street in Ilorin will be surprised if you ask him who is the Emir of Ilorin (I am surprised that some illiterate ones don't even know the title exist!) because everybody call him, Oba Ilorin.

Like in other Yoruba cities, the traditional market beside the palace in Ilorin is called 'Oja Oba'

In any case, the people of Ilorin (except may be the Families of Afonja and Alimi) seems happy with the ways they are and everybody see each other as fellow Ilorin guys.

The place is a peaceful and lovely city with good road networks and low cost of living.

The Muslim women who did where not allowed to. I know many. If you're Yoruba, you would too, that's if you're honest.
Sure, it's forbidden in Islam for a non-Muslim
to marry a Muslim woman and for a good reason too. But like all forbidden things, people still do it. A Muslim man who marries a non-Muslim woman is commanded to respect her faith, he can not force her to convert. There is no such verse in Christianity or other religions that commanded a Christian man to marry non-Christian ladies nor respect her faith. She won't even enjoy such mercy. She would go from Ruqayyah to Rebecca.
1) You need to know that Christianity is about the teaching of Christ.

2) Christ didn't mention who a Christian should marry or not marry.

3) Christianity started before Islam, so there's no where Christ or any of the apostles mentioned whether Christians should marry Muslims or not.

4) Individual Christians and their families answer the questions themselves.

5) In Yorubaland, most people are actually only nominal Christians or Muslims. Their ways of life is more shaped by the Yoruba culture than religion.

6) The direction of convertion of imported Abrahamic religions is more of Islam-> Christianity for both genders.

One religious and elderly man in Ila-Oragun whose wealthy Newphews despite their convertion from Islam to Christianity were taking good care of, explained it to me that; it's difficult to faithfully follow the tenets of Islam and that youths tend to find it cumbersome.

So haven't you noticed that for more than 200 years now, there has not been an OBA in Ilorin.
And every emir of Ilorin had or has Fulani blood
And that Ilorin is a vassal of the Fulani Sokoto caliphate
Oba and Emir are posts occupied by individuals, they don't define ethnic identities or compositions of the whole town.

Sokoto Caliphate ended in 1903 when Caliph Attahiru and his soldiers were killed and the British conquered their country to incorporate it into Nigeria.

You also need to understand that there's no State in Nigeria where the Fulanis are the majority ethnic group, not even in Sokoto, not in Kano , Katsina and definitely not in Kwara.
