1) Every sovereign country has a right to protect itself by determining what goes into their country either by land, water or air.

A Foreign country passing through another sovereign country will have to negotiate with this country for rights of passage and this passage will be subjected to the approval and supervision of the country.

2) Every sovereign country has a right to man their borders , including their ports. So if Biafran vessels wants to pass on Rivers flowing through the Niger-Delta Republic, they will need the approval and supervision of Niger-Delta Republic.

These are well known conventions all over the world.
Landlocked countries that gain access to the Oceans through Rivers negotiate with LITTORAL Countries that have the coastline e.g Ethiopia & Eritea, Austria & Germany etc

The River Niger originated from the base of Guinean Highlands close to the border with Seirra Leone and flow up north to an inner Delta around Gao in Mali before flowing to Niger Republic and emptying into the Atlantic ocean in the outer Niger Delta. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT saying that Niger-Delta MUST block Biafra but the issues that must be acknowledged is that Biafra will have to negotiate with Niger Delta Republic not as a matter of right but concession as friendly countries.

However, if they refuse to grant this concession, you can't do anything about it.

And if Biafran try any act of war, they will be easily defeated and made to suffer for such silly mistake.

South-Sudan has the third largest oil reserve in Africa but they depend on Pipelines and Port Sudan on the Red Sea ,both in (North) Sudan to export their crude oil.

North Sudan is demanding 50% of the money on each barrel of crude oil for using their port and pipeline to export their crude oil causing South Sudan to suspend crude oil exportation.

The dependence of South Sudan on a hostile North Sudan for International trade is hampering the economic development of the new Nation.

What makes you think that the type of blockade of Biafra in 1968 can no longer be effected if secession occur in hostile manners?
