RomanceRe: Is It Advisable For Married Couple To Watch Porn by oyatz(m): 7:40pm On Aug 22, 2021
fati2001:
Watching pornography is a sin for many reasons and can present a lot of problems in your marriage, even when viewed with one’s spouse. First, porn takes a sacred, intimate union and makes it a spectator sport. Pornography involves people engaging in an illicit sexual behavior in front of a camera. God designed intimacy for a husband and wife only. Sex is a special gift from God designated to unite a couple in marriage. When God creates something, He creates it with purpose and design.
If seeing the unclothedness of other people is requited to desire sex with one’s spouse, then that is lust. To watch pornography is to invite sin into our bedrooms. It allows the enemy to infiltrate our thinking, damage our hearts and turn dirty what God calls “very good”.
I don't believe this sir.

Couples can watch porn together once in a while especially if they don't have enough experience.

Ijaws and Urhobos have their own kings.

The original Warri was built on Itsekiri land and it's undisputable that the Itshekiris were the rulers of Warri in pre-colonial Nigeria

I appreciate your civilily and decorum as well. Maybe a drink or two would be needed in a lush bar on a Sunday in Victoria Island to discuss such exponential matters. Just joking.

But in fairness, Igbos are not known to be empire builders or expansionist. If by chance anyone is claiming lands not native to us, check clearly many of them might be misinformed.

For Opobo and Bonny, they were both independent city-states. Both with Igbo and Ijo heritage. Igbo origin and language and Ijo cultured. The early colonial historians had written so much about these groups that even Kenneth Dike who was the first indigenous Nigerian historian wrote his first book about the Niger-Delta states. GI Jones a British expanded on these facts and maintained the same thing — Ndoki-Igbo origin and language but Ijo cultured. Even when the Ijo sponsored revisionist by name Prof. Alagoa tried to change the Bonny/Opobo Ndoki origin by improvising an Ijaw origin, GI Jones sent in an academic rebuttal from London, to which Alagoa had to edit in a later version but this time claiming a reverse migration from Opokuma-Kolokuma to Ndoki.

Any wonder the Igbo-led Eastern region maintained the status quo and their independence by not enforcing any change or land grabbing them into the Igbo ethnic group. The Ibani or Ubani (Both Bonny and Opobo) kept their unique identity until the onslaught by the 52 brigade headed by the late Major Isaac Boro. Genocide and killings was recorded in both Bonny and Opobo and a host of other riverine communities like Kalabari, Andoni, Yeangoa etc. But the likes of Bonny and Opobo got it worst after which they were forcefully made to become Ijaws by threats. Funny enough after the changes were made, the land grabbers still failed to make the people to stop speaking their language. Despite several attempt to set up Finima-Ijaw language (which they called Ibani Egere) in schools, making it compulsory in Bonny and Opobo it still failed.

That singular incident of both Boro and the Ijo rulers of Old Rivers state kept them at daggers drawn with the Igbos and at the appropriate time, it will all be revisited. Currently, the Ijo landgrabbers who carried out that act are now in Bayelsa giving a lot of folks a breather in Rivers state.
The most funny aspect of this post is the part that said Adaka Boro forced 'Ibani and Opobo' to become Ijaw!

How do you change the ethnic identities of cities? Can you teach me this method, may be it can help to solve certain inter-communal problems. For example, can someone make Agbor to become an Urhobo city?

In my own view, what happened in Opobo and Ibani is simply cultural assimilation. The Igbo elements in these cities dissolve gradually into the larger Ijaw communities and there's nothing spectacular about this.

Similar cases in varying degrees of success abound all over the world.

Arochukwu, Aba=> Ibibio got assimilated into Igbo

Ogori/ Mangogo=> Ebira got assimilated into Yoruba

Badagry=> Yoruba got assimilated into Egun/Ogu.

Seminole Tribe of Florida, USA=> Black African slaves got assimilated into Native Americans.

Moors=> Black Africans and Arabs into Berbers

Itsekiri= Bini into Yoruba

Ojukwu might have studied classical history but he didn't apply the practical aspect of it during the Biafran war. Gowon who didn't study history had the upper hand than Ojukwu because he took the advise of those who understood better than him. So studying history changes nothing if you don't apply it when it matters most.

To reply you on the points you made. First, the Greek conquered lands and people during the Hellenic period. And so those lands you mentioned many of them were independent ethnic groups who got annexed by another bigger wolf “Ottoman” now Turkey.

Germans on the other hand were never in one territory. Germania was the name the Romans gave to the barbarians who lived in that axis, and after the fall of Rome, there was a free for all landgrab by groups like the Frankish kingdom began by Clovis, the Huns headed by Atila, the Saxons, the Vikings, the Anglo who moved to take Britannia, and the successors of the Franks who apportioned much of present France and some part of Briton, Luxembourg, Italia and Austria to themselves under the holy roman empire headed by Charlemagne but which continued with Kings from Austria.

So Hitler trying to form or revive a single country for old Germania was a dream similar to the Italians trying to revive the Roman empire. Such dream by Hitler would alter the balance of power in Europe. Because there's no way you’ll annex Austria who had already enjoyed statehood, first as the successors of the Holy Roman Empire and second as the Austro-Hungarian empire ruling most of Eastern Europe before the existence of the German Reich. Or Hungary who existed before Hitler. Holland another old Germanic tribe that had formed a single identity called Dutch. Or by annexing some part of France who were rightly Germanic tribesmen as well.

Had Hitler kept to the unified Germany began by Otto Von Bismarck, rather than expand it no mans land, no one who think of dividing them into east or west after their defeat by the allied forces and Russia.

So your analysis on Igbos is faulty. Ndigbo have no agenda to gather the YEAI groups in the south and middle-belt to form one identity that will be similar to Hitlers landgrab. Ndigbo unlike the Ijo landgrabbers know their territories and are not willing to let them go, whether in Nigeria or in the apocalypse.
It will be difficult to expand or change the present boundaries without generating problems.

The only way igbos can have parts or whole of the present Rivers State is if the people of these Coastal territories on THEIR OWN clamour to join Igbos in the same country.
Anyone who is well conversant with the political History of Rivers State will know that Igbos have been laying claims to these Territories since colonial times and on several occasions, the indigenous riverine peoples have resisted these subtle attempts e.g The Igbo dominated NCNC presenting an Igboman as the major of Port-Harcourt, Igbo irredentists toying with the idea of changing the name of Port-Harcourt to Port Azikiwe in the 1950s and trying to make the igbo nickname for the city ,IgweOcha as the official name of the city.

The climax of the resistance of the riverine peoples to assimilation of their territories into Igboland was the creation of Rivers State in 1967, a master stroke which rattled Ojukwu and the Igbo intelligential causing him to declare Biafra three days later. Had Gowon created Rivers and Cross River States in December,1966, there won't be anything like Biafra or even the civil war.

The naming of the Port Harcourt Stadium as Liberation Stadium and it's recent renaming as Yakubu Gowon Stadium is a pointer to the feelings of the Rivers people towards joining 'Igbo Republic'.

The abadonned properties saga in Rivers State, the several public proclamations dissociating their communities from IPOB campaigns and the treatment of IPOB and their sympathizers by Gov Wike are also showing how these people feel towards 'Igbo Republic'

As someone who is well read, you ought to have known that;

1) There was never an Igbo Empire/Kingdom/Republic before 1914 that included or exercise sovereignity over Opobo and Ibani, so at what point do these cities becomes Igbo cities?

2) These cities don't share boundaries with other igbo towns/cities. It's just like Ghana trying to lay claims to Badagry!

3) There is no way, igbos can just move into these coastal cities , trying to chase away the present Indigenes and rulers of these cities and annex these cities without causing problems and drawing the attention of Nations and Governments beyond the region.
It will cast the Igbos in the mould of the aggressor and Invaders which will be counter productive in the long run similar to the 1990 attempts by Saddam Hussain led Iraq to annex Kuwait which caused the Gulf War-1.

No one is talking about Biafra here. Biafra for one is not an Igbo idea as it didn't include Igbos in Benue, Kogi, Delta, and Edo. It's was mainly an eastern region affair as Ojukwu didn't see the bigger picture and ceded Igbo territories outside the east all in a bid to sit tight as Governor. Records of how he created the puppet Republic of Benin with Igbo territories is still there and how he abandoned Igbos in Kogi and Benue to their fate in the north. So when Ijaws, Benin, and Igala began grabbing Igbo lands in their domain with fraudulent revisions, most Igbo elders kept mute as Ojukwu had already ceded them all for his egoistic power play with Gowon.

So Biafra as far as many of us are concerned is dead and buried. The carcass of Biafra is now the food of the lowest rungs of the society. Touts, thugs, cultists, never-do-wells, and failures who seek a way to escape from explaining to their Umunna why they failed as men. Some of them spent years in London with nothing to write home about, before setting up an IPOB company to scam the illiterate maga’s in the South East. You can call these men hyenas or vultures na you sabi.

But in this new dispensation, our focus is playing politics the right way in Nigeria. Get allies just like others are doing. But if peradventure the worst happens to Nigeria, the plan B is never dead Biafra but republic of Igboland, Ikenga republic or any name that identifies with our roots. And that includes every inch, none will be ceded to any tribe. If you observe, you’ll see that many Igbos aren't looking for brotherhood where there is none. All the places most Igbos are challenging have historical documents from antiquity, with backed-up linguistic evidences that even if we go to ICJ, we’ll win the case. But going to ICJ won't suffice because the matter is too less and can be solved with wisdom.

Igbos know their territories and anyone that wants to steal them should ready themselves for hundreds of years of hostilities. That one is guaranteed. The only thing that will bring peace is if everyone focuses on what is ancestrally and natively theirs.

For Bonny & Opobo only them will decide their fate. Their Kings and citizens. Not by INC or Ijo gangsterism which happened with the aid threats and genocide of the indigenes by land grabbing Isaac Boro. This time the story will be different.
Ojukwu who studied History at Oxford University and was a District Officer in the colonial Administration (The equivalent of LGA chairman in the present arrangements ) beforen joining the Military knew better than you.

On what basis will Ojukwu be taking over supposedly 'Igbo territories in Delta, Kogi, Benue, Rivers'? Was he also the Governor of these areas.

It's far easier to dilineate territories for a people based on Geographical landmarks e.g Rivers, Mountains, Gullies and Valleys than trying to create a country for them based on acclaimed historical ethnic homelands because it's difficult to say where the lands of of ethnic group start and the lands of another ethnic group stop. There are always areas of ethnic overlaps that may not be easy and straight forward to resolve.

Byzantium (now Istanbul, Turkey), Cyprus, Smyna, Thessaloniki and Macedonia used to be Greek Territories but today aren't parts of Greece.

The attempts by Adolf Hitler to annex all lands where he thinks German people lived was the primary cause of the WW-2.

Today, German people are in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Leichtenstein and at least 3 other European countries

Coastal control you mean? Lol! What can Ijaw republic give to Bonny that they lack? Absolutely nothing. I bet you no shot will be fired. Bonny and Opobo will gladly cede themselves to Igbo republic as well as other communities in present riverine Rivers state. This I know first hand.

If you may know, Bonny, Opobo and Elem Kalabari became the dominate ports in the pre-colonial era taking over from Calabar because of her strong ancestral links with Igboland. Their sustenance which began from salt sales to the slave trade and then to palm oil was basically due to business dealings with the hinterland, not by fish sales with Izon boat gypsy’s. And in post Nigeria, the trio will want that economic interest to continue knowing that the benefits outweigh drinking ogogoro with sea dwellers.

Besides the economic benefits of being the sole axis for export and import of goods, the communities will benefit from the numerous gas pipelines from the eastern corridor of which Bonny LNG will need to be sustainable.
Look at cases of referenda all over the world, referendum for secession is only conducted for those who ask for it.

As at present , the people of Rivers State aren't asking for referendum.

It very funny how Biafran irredentists assume that the referendum will hold in ANY territory they want.

As a matter of fact, a period of semi-autonomous rule or self-rule always preceed the referendum.

If IPOB can transform into a political party and win Governorship and Assembly elections in Rivers State (and even in Anambra,Abia, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi), this will strengthen their claim to include Rivers among places where the referendum will hold.

Right now, Referendum for Biafra will NOT hold in any part of Rivers State.

The Governor and the elders of Rivers State have dissociated themselves from Biafra.

You will be deceiving yourself if you think that you will jump Imo-Rivers boundaries and over so many non-Igbo territories to Opobo which is the most Southern point of Rivers State to claim the city.

There is something people tend to overlook or gloss over when discussing this attempt by the Ijaw to ‘Ijawnise’ a lot of the old Eastern Region. The Ijaw claim that the Okirika, Opobo and Bonny are bonafide Ijaw groups! Fair enough! Now when Bayelsa was created as a homogeneous Ijaw State, can someone explain to me why the above mentioned....and including the Kalabari, didn’t want to move with their ‘kith and kin’ to the new Ijaw state of Bayelsa? This is victim mentality taken to a more petty level.

Ojukwu captured Adaka Boro, paraded him naked, sent him to Aguyi-Ironsi in Lagos who quickly sentenced him to death for treason.
Curiously, the same Aguyi-Ironsi never bother to trial Nzeogwu, Onwutega, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Major Okafor and others who carried out the Jan-15,1966 coup which plunged the country into disaster.

You people love to think that you are smart and others are foolish.

Most of the hints in above post have no bearing on the subject matter or what you have in mind. Palestine does not exit as a state and may not. The original territory known as Palestine included Israel and Jordan. As for most areas you mentioned in the post, the colonial powers which had no interest of the people played a major role in the political saga found today.
And who told you that disputes over territories between Igbos and Ijaw Republics that may snowball into serious conflicts will not attract the involvement of former colonial Masters and the Super Powers?

Are you sane at all? Wabara in Ngwa-Asa-Ndoki lexicon is Nwagbara in central Igbo lexicon. It was the same Nwagbarie who was original founder of what is known today as Kalabari. Mazi Adolphus Wabara hails from Oza/Umunteke axis of Ukwa East LGA,
You just proved that we are all related.

Communities that live close to each other for centuries eventually become related.
Many of these tribes/city States would have merged into one super ethnic group if Nigeria is operating a merit based system and there's no need for Tribal identities to get certain political and/or economic privileges.

All the territories inhabited by Igboid tribes are non negotiable... And even Nigeria herself knows that
As for the non Igboid territories, we're open to negotiations, even though we might never budge on the Ijo city states of Karabarị and Okirika and also the tribes of the Cross river Valley.
We've a prospective population of 47M... So we can raise an army of 5M, fully equipped and dedicated to defense of our territory and interests
You seems very patriotic abouth your ethnic group but you are likely to be a young man and quite naive about the issues of secession, creation of new countries, border issues and international politics surrounding such matters.

In international politics, the greatest factor that strengthen your claim to disputed territories is the political authority you exercise over the territories, it is far superior to 'languages or ancestries' of the present inhabitants of the territories.

Are you currently exercising political authority over Opobo or Bonny? Was there ever a time , these cities were parts of your kingdom/Empire? How did you come into the conclusion that they are your territories?

Read about many hotly disputed territories by different sovereign countries in the past and present e.g Kashmir in India Vs Pakistan Vs China, Jerusalem in Israel Vs Palestine, Western Sahara, Ceuta and Melila between Spain Vs Morocc, Brittany, Nagorno-Karabakh Region between Azaibanjain and Armenia etc
