GenBuhari: These pictures are very interesting and make me want to learn more about Idi Amin and to not rely purely on Western propaganda or view of him.
The interesting thing is the white men carrying him seem to be happy and enjoying it. They were properly paid well. The white men carrying President for life, El-Hajj, Field Marshal (Dr) Idi Amin Dada were not paid but serving 'punishment' . In my own view, I think Idi Amin had a mental health problem but many people didn't know it. I The guy gave himself strings of titles that depicted delusions of grandiosity. |

justmondris: Says who? If they can rule the entire north that means they have conquered army, military, Air Force and the police because all their headquarters are in north. So tell me why do you think they will not conquer the south and why you think they will allow you to disintegrate? Boko Haram can't even successfully rule Borno State. If Boko Haram are laying claim to to Aso-Rock, several other armed groups will also be inspired to lay claims to Aso-Rock. Even within Boko Haram, there will be hot contest for power leading to splinter Boko Haram groups. Boko Haram or any ethno-religious terrorist group can ONLY become the Government of this country if Nigeria were a smaller country with about 10 (related) tribes practicing one religion and sharing similar world views like Rwanda or Somalia but Nigeria is very large and it's actually a comity of nations. |

onuman: When Boko Haram captures Aso Rock, it shall use Military Decrees and force of arms to hold all in Nigeria in one Nigeria - nothing can happen. The Western countries can’t intervene because Nigeria is seen as a democracy; therefore Boko Haram gaining power is part of formation of a nation.
Southern Christian politicians can only flee and bark from abroad, to no effect. You are very naive. 1) Boko Haram capturing Asp Rock is no longer 'democracy' 2) Even as at present, it's very difficult for even elected Government to govern the whole country, hence the proliferation of armed groups that are not under the country of the government like Boko Haram, Killer Herdsmen, Armed Bandits, Niger Delta Militants and now IPOB's ESN. So what give you the impression that all these armed group will willfully submit to the authority of Boko Haram which they didn't elect? 3) As Boko Haram try to form Government in one State, several armed groups and splinter groups will surface. In the end, several armed groups and war lords will control their strongholds. For instance, it will be very difficult for Boko Haram to rule Rivers ,Enugu or Benue States. |

shedy03: You will be surprised how easy it would be executed if it were to happen in Nigeria, they will rule over the whole country and there's nothing the fear-fear southern part can do. Let's hope it does not happen. Nigeria is a very large country with highly heterogeneous peoples. This factor mean, a president can only emerge with the aggrement/support of many ethnic groups. Most times it's difficult to get this widespread support. Although there are about 10 small groups in Afghanistan, there is only one overwhelming ethnic group the Pashtun ethnic group and over 96% of the population are Muslims. |

The reason is because some parents, especially in polygamous families give birth early and continue to give birth even when their oldest children have also started procreating. |

feezay86: Taliban has taken total control of the country. This would have happened during GeJ, Boko haram jihadists would have taken over the Government because the North was totally in support of it. Nigeria is different from Afghanistan. The Taliban succeeds in Afghanistan because majority of the populace share their religious identity and/or ideaologies. In Nigeria, if Boko Haram capture Aso-Rock, they will only be able to rule over the core North and this will speedily leads to disintegration of Nigeria. |

Then the account you quoted looked at the investment side using compound interest, we are not just assuming he had kept 10 million pounds in the bank since then, some where used to buy lands and other investments which if increased 10% per annum given his investment trend at then, check 10% of now $200 million pounds over the stretch of the past 55 years in a compound interest that's called prospective statistics.
I do understand that according to B Disraeli, there are three types of lies, 1. Lies, Dammed lies and 3. Statistics but the true lie here is you which thinks that you puncture a hole in my argument just so it won't sale, this argument simply started as a question "how can the son of the richest man in the country at then be so money motivated that he wishes to divide the country that made the fathers wealth and his wealth possible".
I had told you the only Challenger was Dantata whose Dynasty Re surfaced today as Dangote but Dantata was no longer around as he passed on in 1950 but we are looking at from 1956 to 1966. Okay, you have won! Sir Ojukwu was worth $4 Billion in 1967. I hope this makes you happy. |

The only challenger could have been Alhaji Dantata but you seem to forget Dantata died in 1955 and the time of argument we centered on was the lead up to 1966 to 67, with Dantata no longer in the picture, I don't think there would be any challenger around 1966, you seem to forget during those days, Forbes and all the rest was not focusing on Nigeria as just an emerging country.
But let me give you the benefit of doubt, who do you think was the richest man in Nigeria between 1956 and 1966 if you don't have any candidate then don't tell me the whole country was a flat wealth. Stop shifting goal posts, what exactly is your point? That Sir Loius Odumegwu-Ojukwu was a $Billionaire in 1967 or 10million pounds in 1967 now equals $4Billion? |

You have to adjust the value of the money in todays value to arrive at how rich someone actually was, how are wealth of earlier wealthy people like Vandabilt, John D Rockefeller, Henry Ford, JP Morgan be rated in todays sense if it were not adjusted to account for inflation and value change lol. I am telling you that the website is fake (a clone) and not from Forbes. You guys just love propaganda. Sir Ojukwu's business were mainly; 1) Road Transport 2) Shares and stocks of qouted companies 3) Landed properties. All these were great business for a country just coming out of colonialism but couldn't have made him a Billionaire even when we adjust for inflation. Nigeria was a very backward and poor country in 1967. Most people in Nigeria at that time were rural peasants. |

Rather, everyone was busy telling us how he from the north understands their problem and can solve it because he's from there and is also a former military man.
Now, we want a SE man to occupy the position, you are telling me that nobody will vote for someone from that region because you think the antecedents of IPOB will make people not to vote for him. That's is really sad coming from you. Pure hypocrisy and that is why Nigeria is where it is today. People can't just boldly say the truth no matter whose ox is gored. EmekaA125: You are very very right. Believe me, IPOB worked so hard to achieve this. It's either Igbo governors and President hopefuls jettison their Utopia dream and support Biafra restoration or we become extremely violent towards it in 2023. Since no tribe will vote an Igbo candidate, the only option available is Biafra but those idiots won't read the handwriting on the wall and stop fighting IPOB. Even in getting Biafra, you will still need the cooperation and support of non-Igbo Nigerians. Biafra can be gotten in 3 ways; 1) WAR: This has been tried before but didn't work. However, this can still work if Biafra has superior advantages (like more sophisticated Technology, greater economic resources, favourable geographical factors e.g Biafra controlling the coastline of Nigeria and blocking Nigeria from reaching the outside world and Biafra having more DEPENDABLE allies than Nigeria) over Nigeria 2) Peaceful and Diplomatic resolutions: this will require ammendment of the Constitution to accommodate secession, a long process that will require the support and cooperation of all Nigerians. 3) Combinations of the first two options: After long period of war (like 20 years) resulting in a statement, both sides decide to come to round table to agree on disintegration of the country. This was what happened in Sudan Vs South Sudan and Ethiopia Vs Eritrea. |

For instance in Kano, she was driven around the city in the Rolls Royce of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi-1. By 1956, Oba Adesoji Aderemi (Ooni of Ife) and Dantata had Rolls Royce. |
