1) Economic Development: The S/East has worse Poverty rates than the Niger-Delta.

Compare &constrast the Budget & HDI of Niger-Delta States with that of the S/East.


2) Infrastructural Development like Int'l Airports, Seaports, Shopping Malls, Dual carriage Highways, Housing Estates, Standards Hotels, Stadium and Electricity supply are better in the Niger-Delta than the S/East.


3) Land mass and Population: Cross-River & Akwa-Ibom States combined are more than the whole of the S/East in landmass.

The combined population of the Niger-Delta States are higher than that of the S/East.

4) Political Relevance: There are more registered voters & Collected PVCs in the Niger-Delta States than in the S/East.

Indigenes of the Niger-Delta have held the highest posts in the land and they have better control of the leading opposition party than the Indigenes of the S/East.

5) Economic Viability: With greater population, access to the Sea, International Borders, Oil &Gas Deposit, the Niger-Delta > S/East

Lets look at Rivers state as example. Oyigbo/Obigbo, Etche and Egbema all used to be in old Imo state. They were carved into Rivers state. Infact, the Egbema Igbos have half their community in Imo(Ohaji-Egbema LGA) and the other half in Rivers(Egbema Ndoni LGA)

So you really think that if there was a referendum, the Egbema people would vote to lose half their community to Nigeria in the name of Rivers state? Or you think the Etche people(originally known as Igbo-Etche) will forget that are Igbos when a referendum comes?

You would be surprised how many communities in Rivers State have not yet forgotten that they are Igbos. Same goes for Delta State

The Pathologist is a member of the Panel. Investigations of murder cases usually involve Forensic Pathologists.

It's very difficult to dispose off the corpses of 78 people in a city like Lagos without leaking out.

Where will they keep the corpses? Most Mortuaries don't even have the capacities to handle more than 30 corpses at a time and even at that there would have been some corpses already occupying these slots.

Most likely the place was designed with a mortuary but it may not be functioning more especially since the hospital has been under renovation since October,2019.


Mortuaries are conspicuous and even a lay man can easily identify it (the odour give it out easily).

It is not possible that a military hospital of the status of having a medical doctor general in command don't have a mortuary. Tell that to the Nigerian marines.

The main role of the army is to restore peace in difficult times. To create peace sometimes you have have to scatter, destroy and rearrange which includes possibility of getting casualties. Nigerian soldiers are very good at their job.

The panel should check well and ask the Lagos army divisional commander where do they keep bodies of casualties of war or their operations.
