You say your mind exuding a dangerous blend of arrogance and ignorance.

You write with an uncommon authority even in areas where you have neither the expertise nor experience, similar to a Music teacher interpreting the Supreme Court Judgement

You don't know what you are saying.

Check British-Nigerians and Nigerian Americans and see Yoruba people doing the Nigeria proud.

It's the lop sided and nepotistic nature of Nigeria that makes the igbos seem to be politically behind. However if you have been to civilised nations, you notice igbos occupying top positions but u won't see the yorubas or fulanis cos they can't succeed there where there is meritocracy

Bro, you always make me laugh at times.

That means the Igbos have to work using different strategies to win the heart of Nigerians.

In my own views, we need to de-emphasize tribal and religious divides in our politics.

The idea that somebody is afraid of the SE presidency is a figment of your imagination.

In reality, in as much as we are still using this political structure,is there's nothing much an Igbo president can do for the Igbo people or a Yoruba president can do for the Yoruba people.

We need a decentralized Nigeria for this country to move forward and achieve her full potentials.

Esseite:
I dont do tribal politics and Mrvitalis angle of fear is wrong but few questions...

Where were these political guns you called between 1999 to 2014?.. to think those were the better years of Nigeria with better SW National leaders.

How do you claim to have better lawyers and professional above the rest of Nigeria when University admissions stats and grades says otherwise?

You talk about music and entertainment when cultures differ alongside music..

You talk about Heavyweight champions and UFC, good notations but dont you think the SE has exported more political leaders globally aswell?

I think the only reason you shudder when you hear of SE presidency is fear of the unknown because of years of political and infrastructure imbalance..

But since 1960 till 2011, the Northerners have always been in good partenership with the Igbos.

Just nine years after the civil war, under the Shagari's presidency, Igbo politicians became the Vice President and speaker of the House of Representatives.

But in reality, the Igbos need the support of other Nigerians to be able to win even the presidential ticket of a political party (apart from APGA) let alone the main general election.

If you take a representative sample across Nigeria, do you think most Nigerians will support an Igbo candidate in 2023?

Esseite:
1 - Some SE may have their reservations for Buhari for a lot of reasons tilting on nepotism, fanaticism etc. To some extent they may not be 100% wrong, but they have not hindered the ambition of any region...

They supported Obasanjo (SW) (christian)
They supported Yar adua (NW) (muslim)
They supported GEJ (SS) (christian)
They supported Saraki (NC) (muslim)
They supported Atiku (NE) (muslim)

It's just coincidence that Buhari happened to be the first APC candidate gunning against a southerner, alongside some SE having resentments for him personally way before this presidency. The reasons they have against him are still very rife today.

2 - the insults is shared accordingly, it's just that some have more access to internet and data than some, alongside one region may be handicapped because the presidency is from the most advanced region in the North..

We all saw Kano and Kaduna throw stones at GEJ.

Can you please give three reasons for this fears which you postulated that Nigeria have for the Igbos?

kurupt1:
My friend , sincerely your not making sense.Igbos didn't support Buhari because they knew about his precedence before as president and that he will be incompetent.
However, Buhari still has some avid supporters in this south east. The problem with Nigeria is fear of the igbos due to some reasons
Even if the igbos support Buhari ,you guys will always come up with a reason not to support the igbos.
Did the core north support Jonathan?? But did that deny their own from getting power? please tell us something else and not this ur concorted tale

What you wrote is irrelevant to the fact that High Chief Agbo Obaseki was never an Oba of Bini. Nobody in Bini whether dead or alive ever regarded him as an Oba.

He was the British appointed administrator who collected taxes from the natives and chaired the council of chiefs/elders during the period that the Oba was on exile as a symbol of British rule in Bini.

At best, he can be regarded as a Regent.

The first Oba of Bini was Oranmiyan who started a new dynasty with the title of OBA. He was succeeded by his son, Oba Ewaka-1.

Some parts of Igboland that were under the influence of Bini Empire had titular monarchy fashioned after the Bini Monarchy long before the Advent of British rule.

However monarchial rule wasn't the widespread practice in Alaigbo before 1900.

Prominent Igbo authors like Chinua Achebe (Things Fall apart, There was a country etc), Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Because I am involved) etc have written about traditional authorities in Igboland.

Most Igbo communities are independent of each other are ruled traditionally by a committee of elders. The eldest preside over the meetings.

However, there is no community owned palaces, permanent leader or royal families. The 'chairman' of the elders' council is NOT a king.

How True Is The Saying That The Igbo Have No King? By Fredrick Nwabufo | Sahara Reporters

The monarchial system is not firmly rooted in Igboland.

Igbos don't have kings that are widely respected with authority beyond their immediate environment like the Oba of Bini, Emir of Kano or the Alaafin of Oyo.

Most Igbo kings are modern day kings with no royal dysnasties. Some were descendants of warrants chiefs appointed by the British Colonial Masters.

Romance › Re: I Am Tempted To Date My Friends Wife by oyatz(m): 7:20am On Mar 11, 2020
In Africa, especially in Nigeria, the decision by a man to chose whom to marry is not often made solely by the man but also by his family, friends ,church and the immediate community especially when the man is well educated, well traveled and financially okay.

For men with less than secondary School level of education, the society don't place much expectations on them, they can marry whoever they like if at all they marry.

Most of them just impregnate any lady that come their, often from early age.

There are certain women in the guy's life (his MOTHER, sisters, cousins, aunties, even ex-GFs) who will have to approve that the bride to be chosen is okay. Even if the guy loves the lady but these people in his life say the lady is not good, there's great probability that the lady will be dropped.

These women are the major reasons many guys will not like to present single mothers or older women to their families as their chosen brides because they are the first people that will kick against it.

Try to visualize how you or your mum and sisters will react the day your brother brings a 39 year old single mother home as his preferred bride.

An accountant, Lawyer, Lecturer, doctor or banker that try to do that will become the butt of jokes even among his colleagues.

Bros, let me tell you one naked truth:

It is very difficult for someone who has experienced sexual intercourse to stop having sex, let alone a woman who was once married.

In Psychiatry, we were thought that Sexual urge is one of the four basic instincts ( the other three are Hunger, Anger and Survival instincts). It can be modified or even suppressed for a while but it can not be abolished.

I can say it with 95% Confidence that someone somewhere would have
had sex with the woman within the last FOUR YEARS that her husband died.

Romance › Re: I Am Tempted To Date My Friends Wife by oyatz(m): 6:45am On Mar 11, 2020
You are mixing two different issues together.

1) A 39-50 year-old woman can still be sexy and if lucky can still get chances to RE-MARRY especially to men who might have lost their wives through death, divorce or just separation.

2) A Single lady of over thirty years without any kid may increasingly find it difficult to get SUITABLE life partners.

The reason is because she will not want to be second wife or get married to some who already have kids but will prefer FRESH guys who are expected to be few years older than her.

However most fresh guys within the 30-35 years are already married or hook up. Those who are still unmarried usually prefer ladies between 21-27 years (start checking the ages of brides during wedding ceremonies).
Thus, her chances become fewer.

* Most bachelors between 35-40years may be men with certain problems (poor finances, difficult inter-personal relationship, emotional disturbances, personality disorders, truancy, too choosy etc) and this factor may be the reasons they are still unmarried and will certainly affect their relationships and marriages if not we'll handled.

# In summary: the older the single lady is, the greater the chances that the majority of her eligible and preferred suitors have eluded her.

You are wrong sir.

In the olden days, a wife isn't just married to the husband but to the entire family.

If the husband dies prematurely and the widow is still young with children to cater for, the whole family will form a 'committee' and nominate the late husband's YOUNGER brothers/cousins for the widow to choose any one she likes.

The chosen brother/cousin will then marry her , provide for the deceased's children and the woman will continue to live within the family compounds.

Examples like this with varying modifications occur all over the world during different eras and instances like this are found in the Bible.
