naija4life247: Which 15 other politicians said the want to contest for President seat? All the other fools you see jumping around like frog are just making noise.
Imagine Davido’s boy called Dele Momodu saying that he wants to contest and under PDP for that matter. Can the obsessed clown afford PDP Presidential form? Don't underrate anybody sir. In 1991, the most popular contenders in the Governorship race in Lagos were Prof Femi Agbalajobi and Dapo Sarumi, both from the defunct SPD. So many crisis occurred in the party, leading to the cancellation of the SDP primaries and a Cascade of events led to the emergence of Sir Michael Otedola of the NRC as the elected Governor of Lagos. |

jaxxy: When Atiku wanted to contest all of u jump out of ur caves to condemn him. Now it’s Tinubu it’s just an ordinary private citizen.
Fact is Tinubu has alot of baggage, just as we can see how Lagos has been held hostage by recruiting puppets and he also a threat to major democracy.
Both Atiku and tinubu has too much baggage to be president. Atiku is even better. Please point out where I condemned Atiku or whoever that wants to contest? We need Atiku, Kwankwanso, Tinubu, Osinbajo, Anyim Pius Anyim, Dave Umahi and at least 15 other strong contenders to join the presidential race. This will give wider options and make it difficult to manipulate the process. |

Ikegwuru: Your mentality is fixed and it is such that anyone that talks bad of a particular candidate is Igbo and anyone that speaks good of him is non-Igbo. It is good. Igbos always wish Nigeria what they wish themselves. We want a prosperous Igboland. We also want a prosperous Nigeria. This is why we cry when certain people want a prosperous region but a wobbling nation. We want every part of Nigeria to be developed and leadership is key to it. If we criticise a candidate, it is because we actually have strong reasons to do so and not because we hate the person's tribe. We do not hate others but we discover that others are scared of our competitiveness. They think we are too fast than they can ever be. In our vision as Igbo other Nigerians are putting us 400 years backward. We can pursue the Chinese, the Japanese, and America if left to do so. But Nigeria said no. To spite us they brought Buhari who is talking about grazing route when other nations are talking about electric car and living in space. Now you are spiting the Igbo for championing a fellow who is celebrating having stolen so much that he is now richer than some states. Bros, all these epistles aren't necessary. You can NOT stop people from contesting and supporting whoever they like. Support your candidate and let others support theirs. Anyone that has the majority votes wins at the end of the day. |

Coolsperm: Tinubu is a typical Yoruba Muslim that want unity but not equity Bros, pursue equity and leave this man alone sir. He is just like any other Nigerian, I honestly don't understand why so many people are apprehensive about a private citizen saying he wants to contest for election out of over 15 other politicians that are also running for the same office. |

He denied his Iragbiji relatives by claiming to be from Lagos, everything he does is for his own selfish interest. #Nigeria is not Lagos State Iragbiji is not a criterion for contesting for the presidency. Tinubu is a Nigerian citizen and has the right to run for the highest office in his country. It's better you start supporting the candidate that you think can solve the problems. |

kernniejay: I can't imagine in my wierdest thinking how enlightened and knowledgeble Nigerians that have working brains will harness their support for a man with everything shady, from age to origin to source of wealth.
The same man who led them into the current quagmire they are into by hoisting an incompetent and sickly president on them with his attendants hardship and woes, now comes up with his own intention to rule with the expressed propaganda of continuing from where the current man would pause the hardship as he has said his aim is to build on the foundation already laid which is obviously nothing but economic disaster with its tales of anguish and regret, which the same Tinubu supporters are also pertakers in, yet some would not mind paying with their blood for him to become president!
It is only those that have been destined to suffer in life that will come out of a yoke and go ahead to stick their necks yet again into another yoke. All these don't win elections Bros. It's most appropriate that you start campaigning for the best candidate that you think can solve the problems. You can't stop people from contesting or supporting whoever they like. |

A terrible governance is not felt by only tinubu supporters. Everybody go collect. Nobody is bringing out anybody. Every citizen has a constitutional right to aspire for any office. Ikegwuru: Look, without sounding immodest, Igbos are the best stock out of Nigeria. Nigeria is wobbling because others have conspired to hold down the best among them. Igbos do not want to begrudge you. Our argument is simple. We love Nigeria. We want Nigeria. But 2023 will clearly show that Nigeria wants Igbos. The same Igbo have a saying that the rejected person does not reject himself. We will affirm ourselves in 2023 if by general folly an Igbo man is not elected president. We labor to grow the country only for fools to fitter its wealth away. 2023 is Igbo man's turn. QED. This is why should spend your time and energy promoting Dave Umahi, Anyim Pius Anyim and Kingsley Moghalu instead campaigning against a particular citizen. |

The only reason the cabal seem powerful is because they have only one or at most two formidable candidates to contend with.
If 15 strong candidates are in the race, it will be too difficult to silent all of them.
We must open up the democratic space to accommodate as many people as possible. In the long run, this will strengthen the democratic culture.
Trying to shut out people from contesting is counter productive in the long run |

Once Peter obi declares, all this tinubu noise will fade down. It won't fade away because there are in different parties. We need about 25 formidable candidates in the presidential race. With this, it will be difficult to manipulate because negative forces will cancel out each other. |

Politics › Re: Kanuri Origins Of The Tinubu Family - Farooq Kperogi by oyatz(m): 10:05am On Jan 15, 2022 |
BallsDeep: The Tinubu family of Lagos is that of Madam Tinubu slave dealer.
The Tinubu family of Lagos are descendants of Madam Tinubu's slaves and servants who appropriated her property and wealth after her death. Their sudden new found wealth after Tinubu's demise , saw them rocket from slaved to the higher strata of Eko society.
But we know Tinubu isn't even a real Eko slave Tinubu .
So you have a grifter claiming to be from a slave lineage of impostors.
How can one be impersonating a known impersonator?
Lol Madam Efunroye Osuntinubuwa was an Egba woman and the Iyalode of Egba. She later on got married to Oba Akintoye, the King of Lagos and after the death of the Oba, she re-married Alfa Momoh Baggara, her Islamic spiritualist. Some of her relatives from Abeokuta living with her in Lagos, step children and ex-slaves all adopted her name , Tinubu (which by then has become a brand) as surname. |
Politics › Re: Kanuri Origins Of The Tinubu Family - Farooq Kperogi by oyatz(m): 8:22am On Jan 15, 2022 |
BallsDeep: Those claiming the name Tinubu are descendants of the notorious slaver Madam Tinubu.
This witch died without a surviving heir and all her properties and wealth were divided among her retinue of over a hundred slaves.
The name Tinubu thus owes it's origins to slaves of Madam Tinubu. Don't say what you don't know sir. Madam Efunroye Tinubu didn't start the name and there are hundreds of Tinubu family surnames from Kwara to Kogi to Ogun State, Oyo, Osun to Lagos State. Tinubu is just like any other ethnic names like Attah, Obong, Osadebe or Adeniji |

NaijirianKing: Exactly.
This is why I say the North gets a misunderstood. The North is offering the south more than the south is prepared to offer the south.
The North is offering the SS or SE the VP position. What position is the SW offering the SE under the guise of southern unity?
The game is simple, the SW thinks the SE are not politically aware and that is insulting. This is why the North is going out of its way to reach out to other zones through dignity and respect.
Let every zone field their candidate and let every citizen vote.
Enough. Is there anyone stopping any zone from fielding their candidates? Right ,left and centre, people are declaring their Interests to contest for the presidency and apart from the Ohaneze asking Tinubu to step down, no other people are stopping any candidate from contesting. |
Politics › Re: Throwback Photo: Bola Tinubu, Gen Abacha And MKO Abiola by oyatz(m): 4:37pm On Jan 14, 2022 |
NaijirianKing: The problem with MKO is that his victory was only audio, despite Lagos-Ibadan propaganda, there remains an immutable truth, and that truth is that he didn't actually win anywhere in the country outside of a few enclaves within Lagos and disingenuously tried to make it seem that Lagos was Nigeria, while on ground he was wildly unpopular in many places, but tried to use media to put forward a fake result.
It's disheartening to think that this man could've been alive today if he didn't insist that he won that election he clearly didn't win.
The election was determined by the Federal government, The Head of State, and those who counted the votes, to simply be illegitimate, yet this man went on constant speaking engagements claiming that the election was "free and fair" and that he was the winner.
We see where that got him today, all he had to do was accept that he didn't win and move on quietly.
This should be a lesson to all, that sometimes chest beating and noise making attract the wrong type of attention, better to move in silence and keep your next moves close to the chest. You haven't been born when the election was conducted and you didn't read about the election but only trying to re-write a 29 year old history when millions of the eye witnesses and participants are still alive. For your information, the June-12,1993 presidential election was conducted using option A-4 in which: 1) There were only two candidates. 2) Each voter queued behind the poster of their preferred candidate and casted their ballots. 3) National Electoral Commission (NEC) officials counted the voters on both lines and the results known by ALL immediately. * Prof Umphery Nwosu ,the Chairman of NEC had released the results from about half of the States on NTA before Babangida asked him to stop and annulled the election on Jun-23,1993. Years later, Prof Nwosu announced the results from the remaining States and announced the winner. |
