Face it, Nigerians are not particularly into innovation or sophistication.

Post anything on the achievement of a Yahoo boy now and be amazed by how many likes and shares it would generate.
Try to solve a puzzle by application of logic and observe how that thread dissolves into nothingness and how you would be derided by your contemporaries.

Nigerians love fraud, fast money and now they've even imbibed the habit of complaining, using the other man (tribe, religion, social difference etc) as the reason for their non-performance.

let me use a biblical example to explain my opinion. The children of Israel spent 40years in the wilderness for a journey that was supposed to last not more than a month. God wanted that generation to die and phase out because they have been corrupted with all manner of evil and unbelief with exception of a few. They were incapable of being the kind of Israel in God's dream. That Israeli generation is like our present generation. A corrupted,wayward,indolent and ''fantastically evil'' generation. But a good leadership can provide a platform or plan for future generations to be better than what we have now. It starts with knowing what we want and setting machinery in place to achieve them. It can be 20years policy,it can be 30 or 40 years but it depends on our targets.

the govt of every nation decides the direction the nation should go. They decide this by using education and other policies. Leadership can either transform or malform a nation. Dubai was a rural community. Good leadership transformed it to a paradise. Singapore is another example of a nation transformed by leadership. There are other many examples. What is the quality of human capital/resource in nigeria? Very poor despite its abundance. How is education? Very poor despite many schools!!! Computer departments in most nigerian universities don't have computers!!! Bad leadership begets bad followership which in turn begets bad leadership. It is a continuous cycle.

how low were the oil prices in jonathan era? whether Apc or Pdp,it is always the same result. The Jonathan govt was still borrowing to pay salaries despite ''this growth'' . Ngozi okonji-Iweala started deceiving Nigerians that ''Nigeria wasn't broke'' because ''we have liquid assets/instruments we can sell to remain solvent'' despite proofs saying otherwise? Nigeria is blessed with people who do wonders outside the country and win awards but become devils when it comes to issues concerning Nigeria.

Any economic growth that is tied with oil is an artificial growth and can collapse anytime. The only type of growth that will be beneficial to everybody is the one that is tied to agriculture,manufacturing,transportation,banking,tourism and other services. That is how to know a good and balanced economy,Oil growth-sector can be zero percent but other important sectors will be 80percent and above!

Nigerian govt keeps spending tax payers money on ransom for abducted people same way families and other private individuals pay ransom for kidnapped loved ones despite the presence of many security agencies. U have an army or police barracks directly opposite your residence is not a guarantee that u are safe when armed robbers or kidnappers come calling . At the end of the day,the military and other security agencies will still be paid their salaries! Let's just concentrate on paying these ransoms and assume we don't have security agencies in this country!!!

it is a multi-billion -dollar industry. It attracts tourists and foreign exchange to the Egyptian economy. They won't give it up ooooo. It is like the oil industry in Nigeria. Everybody likes to be part of it

As grown and matured as I am,I don't go out without letting close relatives/friends know where I am going. It neither makes me childish,immatured nor less of a man! It shows how much value and love I place on people around me. Telling close relations and friends your location would have saved some families from many incidences of killing/missing of loved ones.

If a bigger vessel containing 30,000barrels of oil could disappear after the real owners demanded for it,what makes u feel this smaller vessel won't also disappear when the real owner(s) who is/are sitting in abuja also come(s)? Snakes have swallowed,monkeys have taken,I think it is also time for whale,sharks,crocodiles and octopuses to join the party!!! This is just ''acting'' to deceive the public that we are fighting crime.

Many people are getting my statement with respect to this thread wrong. If the owner of a herd of cattle that destroyed a farmland is known for instance,the owner of such farmland won't bother to fight or query the fulani-man herding the cattle. It is to go to the cattle owner's house to show grievance and demand compensation! The more compensation the cattle owner pays,the more losses he makes,the wiser he becomes in advising the fulani-men in charge of his cattle to maintain sane and proper methods of cattle farming. These farmer/herders fights are getting serious and continuing all because the cattle owners are anonymous!!!
