Please stick to the recommended spark plugs as stated in the manual. Also, take time out to buy it yourself as the sellers have the original and the fake of every spark plug.

Edelweiss44:

people like you who try to live in a world of illusion where you foolishly delude yourself to believe there are no demons or angels, and everything is about science are always one of the easiest targets for witches in the village to kill during christmas when you come visiting with your new flashy car.

If there are no such things happening, please come to my village and slap the native witch doctor and let us see if you will wake up from sleep the next morning.
You don't even need to come to my village to experiment, you can easily locate witch doctors anywhere in Nigeria, just go and find one and slap, and you will find out if the supernatural exists or not. Have sense, you won't! You will come here forming atheist things at your age and with all your so-called education you acquired!

It's fake news. No such thing happened. It's meant for pea-brained people.

Car Talk / Re: Rattling Sound On Acceleration by pannyman(m): 3:32pm On Jan 21, 2018
When I had this problem with my old Camry, it was the broken pipe between the air filter and the throttle body that was the culprit. I replaced it and the rattling sound stopped. It's either this or poor quality fuel.

I buy used tyres

New tyres are good, but the reliable brands start from 40k and above each.

I can get reliable brands but mildly used at 20per price of a new reliable brand

Talking about reliable tyres, do you think Silverstone is a reliable brand?

I had a 1999 Camry for 8 and a half years and there was never an issue with changing the Atf whether hot or cold.
Autos / Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by pannyman(m): 5:07pm On Dec 29, 2017
Hi Gazzuzz, I recently bought a 2007 Camry and as part of preventive maintenance I took it to my trusted mechanic here in Port Harcourt to have the ATF drained and filled with the WS 4-litre I had bought.

The mechanic wasn't around and he wasn't available by phone so I asked his boys to do the job. I was surprised when they told me that I needed to leave the car overnight for it to cool before they could do the drain and fill job so as not to cause any damage to the transmission. This is new to me. Is there any truth to this or were they trying to play a fast one? Needless to say, I drove away to come and ask you. grin

Imagine. The air filter is double the price of the engine oil. That is Elizade. They did the same for someone. 2.5m for toyota corolla and the car came out worse. Ulphostery is even higher. That price will fix 4 corolla's roofs. They need to be exposed. Lets picket the franchised dealers and the lubricant companies this new year. Enough is enough.
My friend that owns a 2010 range sport said if his mechanic present a bill for him, he will burn the garage. That he has never spent 10% of that bill on his car. God is in control. They will all be exposed. We need more of these fraudulent bills. I also know about Weststar garages and how they fleece their customers.

5k for the engine oil. Definitely a 20W50. Ac filter (cabin air filter) for 16k. Wonderful.

As a car owner, you need to be knowledgeable about your car and then shine your eye ‍ while they change your oil. If you think you're too busy to spend a few minutes with the mechanic you might pay a heavy price later.
Car Talk / Re: Why Do People Buy Expensive Cars? by pannyman(m): 8:10am On Dec 24, 2017
Jakumo:
That mass mental illness that compels the poor to pose as the rich is particularly prevalent in the USA's black population.

In the USA, a steady job held for a few years is all that is required for even "financially challenged" people with poor credit records, to "buy" virtually any car with a 4-year payment plan, simply by signing up to purchase a car by monthly installment, after making a small down payment, or NO down payment at all. In fact, it is RARE to see anyone in the USA who regularly buys cars by making a full cash payment to cover the entire cost of the vehicle at the time of purchase, as is the norm in Nigeria.

Normally, car buyers make payments every month, known in the USA as the "car note", on any car that is bought used or brand new. As a result, many blacks and other broke Americans go into debt WAY over their heads, by purchasing flashy cars whose monthly payments will ultimately prove to be beyond the means of the buyer to pay.

This installment payment trap thus lures generations of poor, ghetto-dwelling black Americans into deep, deep debt, which in turn has resulted in the establishment of another major industry called "Repossessions", that is centered around the stealthy, commando-style grabbing back of cars whose owners can no longer make their monthly payments.

So, while it is not unusual to see a poor janitor, garbage truck driver, parking lot attendant or burger-stand minimum-wage laborer driving a brand new luxury sports car in a bid to pose as a rich man on the streets of America, it is equally common for such cars to be snatched by "The Repo Man" and his trusty tow-truck, literally at any time, day or night, once that "car note" payment has been recorded as late or missing, for just ONE month.

America is truly a debtors paradise, that in the end turns out to be a debtor's hell, for many a low-income poseur who is deluded enough to imagine that driving a flashy car is their ticket out of poverty, in addition to its role as a decoy used to gain honey-hole access with materialistic and gullible women seeking a free ride in exchange for timed humping sessions atop that pay-per-view, high-mileage poon-tang.

You have said it all! Wonderful piece.

I have seen a Range Rover having Mobil XHP 20w50 being poured into its engine. This was at my mechanic's place actually, and this mechanic happens to be a distributor for a synthetic oil brand.

I was stunned, and asked him he was this grade of oil was being used in the ride. He replied that that was what the owner was ready to pay for and he could not argue with him. Really incredible that somebody who could afford such an expensive car would skimp on using the right engine oil for it.

This was not long after I saw the owner of a Venza buying Total Dexron 2 for his car at a Total filling station.

The level of ignorance among Nigerians as it concerns vehicle oils is just mind boggling.

I plan on coming back with about 30000 USD and getting myself land/property to my name, complete NYSC, see what the job market is like as well as concurrently starting a one or two provisions stores. Slowly expand on that, with the end goal to become a distributor at the national level.

Be ready for the beggars that will crawl out of the woodwork to plague you.
