I plead with you not to turn this to another Muslim bashing thread it's not Christ like. As for the OP please find a way to call ur neighbour to order or simply move away though I doubt if your new destination will be better cos there seems to be more churches now than shops sef. Anyway God dey.
We call people who kills "killers", and why would these set or bunch be excluded? Jesus calls people " Vipers" and was not afraid to voice out his opinion.

Just that Christians of today are just too relaxed and contempt. Nigeria is in a state of melancholy anomie. Rich getting richer and depriving the poor to climb up with them. Boko haram killing Christians, Pastors busy emptying the pockets of its flocks.

I believe Elijah requested fire to come from heaven to consume his enemies. Our todays Pastors would rather ask that God sent them money and fame. All sort of staged miracles here and there and Pastors claiming to be powerful than one another.

This is Boko Haram baby, Pastors and their die-hard fans, pls request fire from heaven just like Elijah to consume these boko harams, else, just shut it aand let us handle this our way.

100% Dead right !!!

5 times a day , yelling at the top of their voices , calling for prayer is certainly not music to my ears grin grin , especially at 6am in the morning.
, And after which they will call for the heads of the 'Kafir' (Xtians included) to be beheaded. Muslims are too fanatical, ignorance, uneducated, violent and can easily be convinced to murder people.

Some silly ones among them would always want to justify this violent and satanic religion by saying "Islam is a religion of peace". I've always known these bunch of ignorant people to be violent right from my childhood and experience in life.

@all, need to get smthing straight here.

Was your neighbour blasting the Music everything morning or just on Sundays?

If every morning then he needs to have his head examined. But if just on Sunday mornings, then you need to give him/her a break. Blasting music or putting it on loud on Sunday morning is good for the edification of the body, and thus prepares the spirit for the wonderful service ahead that morning.

I believe only Muslims would complain about this habit if done just on Sundays. Every other normal person would complain if the music is blasted every morning.

Personally, I believe this is the right time and moment that Xtians should unite and be blasting their Christian songs every morning and night to warn off the Muslim fanatics all around Nigeria. Christians should tell them that although you slay us, we will not buy into your Sharia law, and Nigeria will never become a Muslim state.

It is not ignorance and unintelligent to blast your Music on a Sunday morning when you're surrounded by Xtian minds alike. But it is share ignorance and unintelligent to do so when you have people of other faith around you.

Why not? Nothing is stopping you from applying, and nothing would stop them from giving you your visa. Except perhaps you won't be hiding any bombs under the 'slavery' hijab of yours.

I don't understand why people hide under the pretence of religion. Your husbands are out there enjoying themselves, and you are here hiding the beautiful body God is given you. Covering of your whole body is not a prerequisite to gaining heaven or 'Al-janna' as your religion would call it.

Anyway, go ahead and apply, and Insha-Allah you'll get it, grin

Christianity EtcRe: Muslim Cleric Voices Anger Over Pastor Oritsejafor's Comments by paris10: 6:00am On Jan 10, 2012
LagosShia:
i think the government ought to arrest Oritsejafor for inciting violence and undermining the rule of the federal governemnt and the peace in Nigeria.

it is only the government that has the right and responsibility to protect the people of Nigeria.

inciting people to carry arms would lead to the somalia case of anarchy and lawlessness where people take the law into their hands with armed militias.

the comments of Oritsejafor (not the first time) are very irresponsible, irrational and offensive.he also made very ignorant and offensive statements on the introduction of islamic banking.

if the government of Nigeria under previous leaders who are muslims themselves have arrested and imprisoned Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky,i dont see why the federal government under Jonathan should not arrest Oritsejafor and ensure that he is imprisoned and replaced in CAN.
Your insinuation is totally wrong and you lack understand. You thinking like a Muslim. Well, you are a Muslim!
So Oritsejafor should wait until your brothers in crime kill all his people abi?

I know many of your brothers will start saying what you've been saying for decades "Islam is a religion of peace". Only a thief would say "I'm not a thief" and only terrorist like you and your brothers would utter such useless and unintelligent comment of yours.

It's high time we started kidnapping you guys and hiding you forever. You've caused so much havoc and atrocities all in the name of religion ever since the world began. A well educated Muslim man is still a far dangerous man when it comes to religion. Only the Yoruba Muslims understand the Christian belief of peace and tranquillity, yet they still lack common basic understanding of what Islam is all about.

"Submission to the will of Allah"- Islam, means obeying to the letter what Quran says. This word or words is totally dangerous and have caused millions of death already. Over Five hundred Muslims die each week through suicide bombing. And these are the real Muslims beacuse they follow what the teaching of Mohammed (S.A.W) said.

One life in Christ is worth 1 million. Christians cherish life so much and would and will never kill themselves over religion. Get this straight to your thick skull, NO VIRGIN IN HEAVEN waiting for you or your brothers. Stop the violence and repent or the wrath of GOD (not Allah) will come upon all the Northerners that are causing havoc and killing our brothers and sisters.

@poster listen to me. A lot of people claim to be immigration expert by quoting laws and colleagues.

I see you were refused not because you overstayed but because you honesty omitted vital information on your application. If what you're saying is recent, you can appeal this decision and win.

Before you say "how", there's a precedent regarding this case. Same thing happened to a guy in a case called O.O v Secretary of state for the home department. Full citation of the case would help you to win the case.

You're very naive. You think the world is a fair place? Think again! The poster have been caught cheating, and all you could come up with is for them to use a new identity instead of correctly the mistake already done.

* When you admit to a crime, you are guilty of such crime and would be punished by law. Whether you complete it and submitted it yourself or somebody else did on your behalf you are solely responsible for whatever information in that form, as long as you are an adult you can not blame anybody else for whatever false information in that form, its your responsibility.
This is where the relevant law that tackles responsibility comes in. Of course you solely responsible, but there's a loophole in the system that allows the appellant to demonstrate  his/her standing in the community by providing a character reference. Besides that, wait, won't argue with you 'cause you know little.

Law is all about proving wrong the allegation levelled against you, whether truthfully or otherwise. It doesn't matter how you go about fighting the case, just win.

Don't waste your time and money appealing that case, you can not convince the American embassy that it was an honest mistake, telling them that somebody applied for the visa lottery without your knowledge will not be taken as a credible excuse.
@justwise, now I know you don't know much about law. Have you read or seen relevant case laws regarding this issue? I guess not! Precedence have to be followed. No separate law for A, and another for B, except ofcourse a biased or prejudiced one.

Just that I don't know you personally. We would have done a bet, and see who wins.

Pls note: It is not a prerequisite that you must fill and submit your application yourself. However, you'll be required to provide your finger prints during the processing.
TravelRe: Us Visa: Can I ''right'' My Wrong? by paris10: 7:46pm On Jan 04, 2012
Listen to me @poster, believe me, these are your best options if you still want to go the States:

A lot of people don't understand immigration law on this forum. Whilst reading your post, I noticed you mentioned honest mistake and some unnecessary details.  You can appeal this decision of refusal.

Whether you were given appeal right or not, trust me you can win this case. Well, very easily!

A decision will be made whether you knowingly used incorrect and forged documents or an honest mistake (which does not come from your part) contributed to you being denied a visa.  The standard of proof is on the Case Worker to show evidence and proof beyond reasonable  doubt  that you actually intended to deceive them.

Pls note that you were refused based on common sense and by immigration regulations that deals with forged documents and false representation. This is can also challenged.

* What to do:

You must write the to US Consulate/Embassy citing the grounds that leads to the forged documents and incorrect personal information (All these would be included in your appeal bundle).

The important part:

I won't say it because people will start calling me names. I do give out vital immigration informations but it seems people tend to take the meek out of everything.

Nigerians would abuse the system. If everyone agrees that my post would not be quoted, then I'm ready to reveal how to beat the system and then delete it later.

And if your appeal is not successful, come here and call me whatever you want to call.
Christianity EtcRe: Slavery Is Authorized And Blessed In The Bible By The Bible God Himself! by paris10: 8:26pm On Jan 03, 2012
It is called YOKE of slavery. This means an apprentice who is under his boss should serve with all humility and diligence. The Bible says they should show respect to their masters (bosses) so that God's name will not be slandered.

Muslims always quote the Bible out of context. It will be very difficult for Muslim scholars to understand what a passage in the Bible its s saying. When you read a verse in the Bible, always make sure you read the preceding verse or even the whole chapter before coming to conclusion.

A lot of Imams would just open the Bible and look for faults or one area where the Bible says something they couldn't just comprehend. Pls Always ask a very well learned Bible student to explain those areas you guys don't understand. Don't just come here with your obvious ignorance and biased prejudice to negate the positivity of the Word Of God.

*Pls Note: The info I gave out was intended only for people who are staying behind in the states. If you are on a Visa and intend to leave the states after few weeks or months of given birth, you will be liable to pay all medical bills.

Also, your re-entering to the States would be made difficult, and in most cases your visa would be cancelled if you did not pay all medical bills.

Solution: You either stay behind in the states after having your baby and be part of the community or don't come at all except you have your money.
Christianity EtcRe: Let Us Make Man In Our Image, How Many Were They (god) by paris10: 12:07am On Jan 03, 2012
inedi:
The amplified bible puts it this way, Gen 1:26, God said, Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) make mankind in Our image, after our likeness , let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the (tame) beasts, and over everything  that creeps upon the earth.

Pls I need a clear explanation of this scripture, was Jesus in heaven at the creation. Thank you
There is no point in time in the Bible where God refer to Himself as 'US' (God the father, son and the holy spirit). The holy spirit is God Himself. Therefore holy spirit is God, and God is holy spirit. There's absolutely nothing like holy spirit + God. The holy spirit is the power that executes God's purposes.  As for Jesus, he was amongst the host of heaven (angels) as of the time God was speaking. Whenever God wants to say something, He would use "I the LORD" and not "WE". God's unconditional promise and blessing would be "I WILL BLESS YOU", " I WILL MAKE WAY IN THE DESERT", " IN BLESSING I WILL BLESS YOU", " I WILL BE WITH YOU" and so on. God always uses a subjective pronoun "I" to teach us that He is the only one making the decisions here.

* "Us" is an objective pronoun that acts as the object of a sentence. The nature of the trinity is of catholic roots, from which it adopted its founding beliefs from the Babylonian mystery religion. The religion has a trinity deity in Molec, Baal and Ashtaroth. Because God said 'let us make man in our image' does not mean God is human like us. The Bible says God is a spirit. "In our image" means humans will possess the special characteristics God and His angels possesses e.g long-suffering, meekness, gentleness, love and so on.

So, practically, when God said "Let us", He was involving every of His creature in heaven (All hands must be on deck). The Bible did not in any way refer "Us" to God the father, the son and the holy spirit. God is God, and Jesus is one of His special angels. God begat Jesus as He has now begotten all of us.

Finally, God is one and not three in one. Therefore, I am me, not us or we (even though I have the spirit of God as the second me). Jesus said "I and the Father are one". Jesus was not calling himself our God in this instance, rather Jesus recognises that whatever God has, he has also. A simple analogy would be me managing my father's company. If your Chairman and CEO introduces me as his son (Jesus was introduced to the world by God), same respect given to your chairman would also be given to me. Jesus assumed the son-ship title when God pronounced him so here on earth.

Good news, God has also pronounced the rest of us as His sons and daughters

Pls note: God begat (made) Jesus a son, and not by procreation or reproduction. It is a common misconception that God gave birth to Jesus as a woman would to a child. God did not have a wife. Look up your dictionary, you would find different meaning to the word BEGOT

The fact that others commit crimes of similar nature is no justification.

When i was about giving up that Nairalanders are dumb and think with their anus then i saw this.
Well Said.
helpee:
@poster. Enough! We are tired of pastoral hatred on this forum. I don't care wether oyedepo is a man of God and I wonder how a single act of slapping an innocent girl disqualifies him from being one. Peter was so aggressive at a point he cut the ear of somebody. Though jesus rebuked him but that doesn't stop him being a disciple. Let's even assume oyedepo was wrong, your write up above shows you are more aggressive and people like you keep beating their wives at home everyday yet you run to a forum like this the moment a succesful man does something you do regularly. If you have never slapped an innocent person then go scot free but if you have then you just jugde yourself. Why don't u start a thread about the senator sponsor of boko haram or fuel subsidy. If oyedepo were to be a secondary teacher beating his student he would have been right but cos he is pastor then he must be a devil's incarnate. Hypocrite
I see how dull you and your fellow student are. Was Peter aggressive? No he wasn't. Was he defensive? Yes. Now the difference: To be aggressive is to unprovokedly attack someone. Is also to invade or to be a menace to people.

To be defensive is to protect or defend oneself or others from danger. This was what Peter did. He was protecting Jesus. Who was Oyedepo protecting, Jesus or God?

Now to the second point. It is an acceptable norm in a country like Nigeria for school teachers to discipline their pupils or students. But time is changing, many teachers have now been fired for this act.

Oyedepo and the rest are part of the new world order. The slap is not the only bone of contention here Mr. If a deacon had slapped that girl, Oyedepo would have been pressured to sack her or offer apology. But because it is Oyedepo himself, who would dare question him? I don't have problems with Pastors taking tithe and making money, I have issues with them acting God (though we're gods and all of us are the children of the most high).

Regarding judging people, the Bible is a complete book and always comes in two part. It says "judge not that thou mayest be judged", and on the other part, it says "Rebuke every form of unrighteousness", "Test every spirit whether they are of God"

But the Bible teaches there is "a time to hate." Hatred is not always contrary to the Bible. In fact there are things we are commanded to hate, and some things are sinful to love - see 1 Timothy 6:10. Whether love is right or hate is right depends on the object of the love/hate. What do we love and what do we hate?

The love we have for God requires us to hate every form of evil or injustices done to people of our kind (Psalms 97:10 - You who love the Lord, hate evil!). Even God Himself hate people that takes advantage of their fellow being (Romans 12:9 - Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Note that proper love requires us to abhor evil. [Amos 5:15]
Christianity EtcRe: If Oyedepo And Adeboye Are Conmen: Yet They Have Millions Of Followers Then I rather be a constar by paris10: 10:58am On Dec 21, 2011
This is the most dumbest defense of criminals I've ever seen. The fact that Abiola was rich doesn't make his money legit. The fact that these "Pastors" are rich doesn't make them less of a criminal.

In today's society, if you commit an obvious crime, you're a criminal. But if you do something unethical, you go scot free. Street crimes like burglary, murder etc quickly gets the attention of the police and the masses, but corporate crime and Institutional crime like that of the Churches are often overlooked. Why? People  are not just bothered.

Who is the real criminal today? Those that have authority over us, or those who are deprived of their rights? You decide! You call Boko haram's criminal but fail to capture the real criminals. What is IBB doing out there? Why is Dangote the sole distributor of so many of our daily products? Obasanjo is still roaming the street. Bush is still alive and Saddam Hussein is dead.

Obama is the still President of the States while Gaddafi is gone.

The richest Pastors of today are the conmen of yesterday. Ask yourself this question; Were the Pastors of the 1980's ignorant or spiritually blind to prosperity?
No, they not, they were the real MOG's who understands that they were there to lay their lives down for their people (Just like Jesus).

Today's Pastors are like "F.*.*K Jesus, we can't do what those guys have done. We need to make money bro"

Having thousands of followers does not authenticate the originality of a Church. Are you a good talker? Can you motivate people? Are you very crafty and cunny? Then you're the man to lead this new generation Churches. Money for the belly, belly for the money, God will destroy all these false pastors.

pobey:
The Dangote has accepted Jesus as his Lord and saviour because he is blessed Mr Catholicism.
Your Reverend fathers are sexually abusing young boys, i hope you know that and your Sisters are very pure as long as they and you all confess your sins before virgin mary,
This shows how ignorant people are. I did not in any way profess to be a Catholic, and neither did I discuss outside of Christ.

Dangote is rich because God blesses him. You don't have to be a Christian to be rich (unlike what these so-called MOG tells you). Prosperity preaching is taking over righteousness. Jesus did not die for Christians, he died for the world. Dangote is rich because he understands the key to unlocking riches: do charity and love your neighbours. Unbelievers are rich because they are better givers ( giving to their neighbours, and not just the Church) than Christians. They are creative and do not wait for any body to tell them they will succeed. They tell themselves they will. They push themselves to the limit. Faith does not deny fact. Likewise being a Christian will not automatically promise better things.

Most Christians only give in Church (eye service) but not outside of it. The only advantage Christians do have over unbelievers is the promise of eternal life by Jesus, otherwise, we're all the same. In fact, the Quran also promise the Muslims paradise. So what are we talking about here?

The Bible is what we follow and not some crack-head money-mongers like your Pastor. Pastors are meant to guide and not to assert authority over us. Everything we need to hear is in the Bible. Christians are lazy and can't study their Bible.
