agaugust: You already came twice, what did you do? You ran away on both occassions. First 2011 South African navy sailed SAS Drakensberg with combat helicopters and special forces to Ivory Coast while NAF jets were in Abidjan, we used one phone call to scare your big warship away in one dayNot worth responding to |
AugustineAgain: Go read war history and calculate how many British-American navy warships and vessels were sunk by German army coastal artillery during invasion of France at Normandy.Direct fire Not area effect 2 sentences |
AugustineAgain: Current SIPRI records end on December 31, 2013....you dummySo in other words you have no real proof apart from a handfull of pics of the Spartan? Cool story |
AugustineAgain: your blind eyes just opened to see reality of how West African ocean is BEYOND the reach of South African navy operations....truth hurtsSo lets get this straight We have the range we have the ability to re-fuel at sea and yet we cannot reach it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA At this point your argument is "Its true because I say so!!" Pathetic sub-human |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26832183:Truth is that we will be patrolling waters 2000 miles away from home. Can you say the same? |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26832070:ahahahah That is no where near what NATO deployed Dude, seriously. your argument is beyond infantile at this point. Did we say we would end priacy? No!! What we said is that we will be patrolling in your sphere of influence... and that is what is important |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26831697:This guy thinks we will be chasing Delta Pirates Dude, we are after the people who steal ships Not petty theives who operate in your mangrove swamps And... how do you unload a container ship in the middle of the ocean? Magic? Witchcraft? Again, you dont understand the difference between interdiction and law enforcement. We are not going there to chase petty criminals. We are there to protect major international trade. And yes, it will be an extreamely difficult job for us... but we would not have to do it if you could secure your own region of africa We are going to spend billions of rands to clean up your mess Joker |

AugustineAgain post=/post/26831488:Nope We will set up our on FOB to supply our smaller OPV's - and it will be an SANDF FOB All 4 Frigates and all 3 subs and the Drakensberg can patrol your waters with ease. |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26831488:What are you talking about? Show me why we would have to beg for deisel. We can sail to lagos and then patrol a distance that is just short of the length of the entire south african coast and then sail back to cape town without re-fueling And we have the ability to re-fuel and re-supply while on station. We actually have force projection, you have none. |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26831397:I dont have to show you anything I have shown you it has all the range it needs I have shown it can be refuelled to extend its range Its up to you to debunk these points. |
AugustineAgain post=/post/26831203:I confused the designations... but lest look at the AN/SPS-73 shall we? The Radar Set AN/SPS-73(V)12 is a short-range, two-dimensional, surface search/navigation radar system that provides contact range and bearing information. The AN/SPS-73(V)12 provides for signal processing and automatic target detection capability. The AN/SPS-73(V)12 surface search function provides short-range detection and surveillance of surface units and low-flying air units, http://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_display.asp?cid=2100&tid=1287&ct=2 Max effective range: 63 miles http://www.studyblue.com/notes/note/n/radar/deck/4112305 Still no where near 500km You got clean busted buddy - Hamilton has no 500km radar!! You lied and were exposed with minimal effort!! You have never been on the road... your journey ended before it even started. #ShowUsHamiltonClass500kmRadar |
AugustineAgain: NAF Mi-171 Terminator obsolete ? You must still be suffering from your Mokopa accident !According to SIPRI you have 13 Active Add 40 to 13 Thats 53 Not 100 And the Mi Mil-17 is from 1970's And according to your man beegeal himself - it is a transport ![]() Nowadays Mi-171AMTSh (Mi-171Sh) helicopter appears to be one of the most popular medium military transport helicopters all over the world, on account of their versatility of the helicopter and its high performance. http://beegeagle./2011/09/03/spotlight-terminator-mi-8amtshexport-model-mi-171sh-assaulttransport-helicopter-of-the-nigerian-air-force/ |
AugustineAgain: When your inexperienced navy sails in real long range patrol mode up to Gabon, come back and post it hereOur "inexperienced" navy gets 8000 sea hours per year How many does yours get? Yeah, i thought so. |
AugustineAgain: Navy 500km coastal radars or TV cameras 50km range or ATR-42 radar 300km range, will track your ships and radio the exact coordinates of your ships exact position to Army artillery command and control. Same way it's been done all over the world for decades, simple as ABC.Navy 500km coastal radars or TV cameras 50km range or ATR-42 radar 300km range, will track your ships and radio the exact coordinates of your ships exact position to Army artillery command and control. Same way it's been done all over the world for decades, simple as ABC. You dont know how a military works - there are multiple links in the chain that the info needs to be relayed through, it will take minuts for shot correction. Artillery without a data-link cannot hit a moving targets Go ask how Nigerian army army artillery dropped shells inside the room where RUF rebel commanders were holding meeting in Sierra Leone, South African Colonel Eben was praising us on that achievement last time I chatted with him on Beegeagle. Towns dont move That didnt happen And you never spoke to Colonel Eben If you don't know how artillery communicates with air or land command and control, please go join a Police forum/thread. Says the guy who doesnt understand a comms-net Seriously brah, seriously. Pirates use many different types of vessels for different types of criminal operations, some use high speed boats with double engines, and at 32 knots, they will dribble the whole South African navy 16 knots Frigates, your navy that has ZERO sea interceptors like our Shaldags, your submarine speed is even worse, those ones are bicycle speed, pirates will turn your navy into school children on a play ground Super Lynx moves at more than 32knots Speed is irrelevant, its about interdiction and re-capturing stolen ships and rescuing crews. Show me the interceptors deployed by NATO off Somalia |
AugustineAgain: Pirates hijack ships Hijacked ships are oil tankers They sail at less than 20knts Not a problem
|
AugustineAgain: Or you return home as soon as you arrive? How do you patrol around in circles from Angola to Ghana, or are you just coming to mark register that you came and left immediately ?We can sail up and patrol 1000 miles.... thats 2,200km (the distanceis just short of the length of our coast).... and sail all the way back without re-fueling And we can extend the range with re-supply. You keep trying to make an argument. But the numbers tell a different story Also, what is to stop us setting a forward base in Angola so that we can also deploy our OPV's... like we did in Mozambique |
AugustineAgain: I said some frigates need 4,000 tonnes to fill tank, so how many days will ALL your ships stay at sea in Gulf Of Guinea?Yes You said Show us how much fuel a valour class needs. |
AugustineAgain: You just boomed yourself skyhighHahahahahahahaha You think wikipedia is a viable source? How do we know you didnt edit it? Nope, Hamilton Class uses the AN/SPS-55 short-range radar http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/whec-378-specs.htm It has a range of around 92km http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/weaps/an-sps-55.htm AN/SPS-55 from the 1960's was replaced during the upgrade ![]() GAME. OVER Enjoy your short range radar |
agaugust: We don't have 18 rebel groups.Sorry, its 12 or so Ansaru Arewa People's Congress Bakassi Boys Bakassi Movement for Self-Determination Boko Haram Egbesu Ijw Youth Council Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta Niger Delta Liberation Front Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force Niger Delta Vigilante Oodu Peoples Congress Yan Tatsine |
agaugust: We don't have 18 rebel groups. We dont want to land anywhere in your sh1thole country |
agaugust: Unfortunately for you, the Mi-171Sh is an armed helicopter for combat and troop transport, with more weapon stations than the Mi-35M Hind, ALL the 40 Nigerian helicopters ordered are combat-attack-transport, sorry Fool, you lose again...Its a sitting duck Beyond obsolete. And none of them exist yet - just like your magical 500km range radar And the only one who has lost here is you (this entire piracy debate has been so much fun for me) |
PrinxArthur1: still dumb,if it has 15,000km range then it only has 7,500km range without refueling. No, it means you can travel 15,000km BEFORE you need to re-fuel. Good lord man. |
agaugust: NNS Thunder is still sailing to Australia.O really? So we are comparing ships. And now you bring up a ship we are not even talking about for the sake of an insult? Should I start outlining the no less than 8 accidents the Aradu has had? Or the fact that your navy has blown up no less than 3 of its own ships? Yeah, thanks for playing. Now go back to w@nking over your imaginary 500km radar systems ![]() |
agaugust: I don't see Nigeria on the list of your source, I see Angola and Namibia.Where is the Gulf of Guinea? |
agaugust: My pleasure...HAHAHAHA!! You avoided showing us the Radar Range!! And I know why!! Patchesagain: Nope, Hamilton Class uses the AN/SPS-55 short-range radar |
agaugust: NATO had aircraft carrier full naval task force fleet off Somalia coast. South Africa has NOTHING like thatNope, Hamilton Class uses the AN/SPS-55 short-range radar http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/whec-378-specs.htm It has a range of around 92km http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/weaps/an-sps-55.htm ((((((BOOOOOOM)))))))) |
agaugust: Fool ! That NNS Okpabana was an American ship in full service up till this year 2014, you think America uses obsolete radar?Prove it. |
agaugust: Some frigates single tank alone needs 4,000 tonnes of fuel !!!! You think your 5,500 tonnes extra tank in Drakensberg is an oil refinery ?Why would the Drankensburg need to re-fuel? It can get to Lagos and back (with 1000 miles to spare) on one tank. It doesnt matter how much fuel a valour class takes, with a refuel of just half a tank it means it can get from cape town to lagos with 4000 miles to spare. Your entire argument is pointless and semnatic. Fact is that we can patrol your waters with ease, and extend those patrols with the use of a re-supply vessel. |
THE TRUTH COMES OUT!!! THE NIGERIAN NAVY DID NOT CAPTURE THE SHIP THAT WAS HIJACKED OFF ANGOLA THEY DID NOT CAPTURE IT IN ANGOLAN WATERS EITHER!! THE PIRATES GAVE IT BACK TO THEM!! This is the first of a two-part series on piracy in West Africa. In the early hours of 18 January 2014 a 75,000-ton tanker, the MT Kerala, vanished off the coast of Angola. A sophisticated pirate gang hijacked the Greek-owned vessel, disabling its identifications system and communication equipment, and painting over its identifying markers. More than a week later and 1,300 miles away, the hijackers released Kerala off the coast of Nigeria, after offloading 12,270 tons of its diesel cargo to other ships. http://news.usni.org/2014/03/10/piracy-gulf-guinea-oil-soaked-pirates |
agaugust: You how do you think? assume the pirate ship is stuck dead in the middle of the ocean waiting for you? Fool.Do you even know how pirates operate? |
agaugust: Rooivalk is anWhich has acheived more than the entire Nigerian Armed forces!! ![]() |
