stillchris: and yoh have no proof you have more than 9. so until you do, the logic stands Logic? Argument from ignorance (Latin: argumentum ad ignorantiam), also known as appeal to ignorance (in which ignorance stands for "lack of evidence to the contrary" , is a fallacy in informal logic. It asserts that a proposition is true because it has not yet been proven false (or vice versa). |

stillchris: and what evidence do you have to say they are more than 9 pilots in 18 aircrew None Thats why I dont say how many we have. Now, what proof do you have that says we only have 9? |

agaugust: Your own source denies your claim, it says Sea Spray radar is for ATR-72 only !
We need to agree on radar type or else how do we argue about radar range when we both dis-agree on what radar is on the ATR-42 ?
Post for us a source to prove your claim that ATR-42 uses Sea Spray radar you FRAUDSTER !
. post your 400km radar range and settle the debat or, you could name the radar in your ATR |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 3:21pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
agaugust: Gripen radar ground mode is 70 km according to @Milikikazi, he is correct, the estimate is 75 km, so for me to say a South African is correct, means a lot. I never even bothered to ask him for citation, I know he is correct. Google the JF-17 Thunder Vs Gripen chart and see the answer
Sea Spray radar is used ONLY by ATR-72 according to your own source, so post source for ATR-42 Radar now ! Prove your claim ! . Hey dont come here with that sh1t Post Gripen ground search radar specs then post ATR 400km radar specs!! NOW |

agaugust: Yes, SAAF was only able to fly VIP transport and then fuel finished. Are pathetic little japes all you have left? Are you so badly defeated that all you can do is type out empty one-liners? and, FYI, only 18 000 hours of the 22 000 hours budgeted for was used - meaning we have a fuel surplus, meaning we have fuel to spare. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:44pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
agaugust: @Milikazi has bailed you out by posting Gripen ground search radar as 70 km, I did not even ask him for citation because he was correct.
You posted a wrong citation, ATR-72 is NOT = ATR-42.
Post for us a source to prove your claim that ATR-42 uses Sea Spray radar you FRAUDSTER ! . So you have no citation to prove your claims about gripen ground search radar? When are you going to post the 400km range? Read the citations I posted - Also, the ATOS system has the Seaspray as a fundimental part of it, http://www.selex-es.com/documents/737448/18917854/body_mm07800_ATOS_LQ_.pdfNow, citations please! |

agaugust: How dare you post citation of ATR-72 SeaSpray radar and fraudulently claim that it is ATR-42 radar ? . How about you post your atr42 400km radar? Gripen ground search radar range? Huh? You can never demand a citation from anyone FYI: Citation has been posted. Deal with it |

agaugust: [s]Show us the paper content of the briefing room lecture to prove it's mission flight.
Pilots get briefed in briefing room for internal disciple, advice, new rules/regs, policy matters, etc.
You know nothing about the life of pilots, I work with them[/s] . I dont have to show you sh1t Pilots In flying suits Getting briefed We all know what that means. And no, augubugug, you dont work with pilots - we know you arent what you claim. You are just some sad lonely beta who's life is so empty and devoid of meaning that the only time he feels like a man is when he pretends to be one on the internet. |

SAAF has 9 qualified Gripen pilots today. CONFIRMED . Do you need a lesson in mathamatics? Where was it confirmed that we only have 9 pilots? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:36pm On Jun 16, 2015 |

agaugust: Henry is correct, SAAF ordered Gripen in 1999 that is 16 years ago, your pilots are supposed to be selected and begin training program from that 16 years ago, except your country and air force is a bunch of fools who don't have training plans for aircraft that they paid for. When did the Gripen arrive in South Africa? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:32pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
stillchris: bwahaadhahahahahahahaha.....
one question... do aircrew comprise of only pilots?
your comment comes off as a whining old man .
you are yet to prove you have more than 9 Gripen pilots You still have to prove we only have 9! Or are you going to rely on the logical fallacy forever? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:31pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
agaugust: [s]Simulator is NOT real aircraft.
Hawk and Gripen cockpits are very very different.
Speed and mechanical performance also are different.
Gripen pilots trained on Hawk as lead-in trainer, but after leaving the flying school for many years, they have NO qualifying hours to fly Hawk.
The Hawk pilots have NEVER flown a supersonic jet or have tried for a while and stopped, they are NOT qualified to fly Gripen, no hours !
Fool, this man is gonna cause air crashes by interchanging unqualified pilots[/s] o ! . Opinion Therefore: Into the trash it goes |

A slap on the face of South African court system, remember the Nigerian weapons money $15 million that your court sized, you cowards also released that money back to Nigeria out of fear. We bought MRAP and SAMIL trucks with the cash you siezed and boasted to spend for christmas, but fear of Nigeria made 50 million South Africans tremble and handover our money
South Africa fears everybody :
1. Fears Nigeria 2. Fears Seleka rebels 3. Fears Rhino Poachers 4. Fears Sudan 5. Fears everbody.....50 million cowards
Sudan too has slapped the mouth of South Africa big time..... [/s] Read the story Understand the story Reply accordingly |

Actually proves our point, SAAF Gripen pilots are always on the ground inside classroom NOT flying in the air.
Nice suicide post by Patrick....I love it . Pilots get breifed for missions they dont fly? |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:25pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
agaugust: [s]Pilot qualification is done yearly. If 8 pilots are combat qualified in 2012, they can become disqualified in 2013 if they fly less than the required number of hours for 2013.
As at today 2015, NO single SAAF Gripen pilot has enough flying hours to qualify for combat, but we do agree you have 9 pilots even though they are NOT technically combat qualified[/s] . Citations needed. |

Henry120: When did you sign the Gripen Contract?
It sure as hell didn't take Czech republic 16 years to raise 9 Pilots for their Gripens. It didnt take South Africa 16 years to raise 9 pilots either. |

Henry120: Nope. You train pilots before deliveries commence dummy.
16 years = 9 Pilots for 26 Planes, Shame!
With dunder-heads like you in the SAAF, i'm far from surprised. Henry120, you are pathetic. I understand why, your country can only muster 3 pilots for an obsolete F-7, with no replacements in sight, and South Africa has 18 aircrew for some of the most advanced fighters in the continent. Must hurt |

stillchris: no patches. stop talking like a novice
that's a silly excuse.
you signed the contract in 98. so definitelt had 10 years to train more than 9 pilots before the aircrafts are delivered.
now it's 17 years and you are stuck with just 9 When were the Gripen delivered? In 7 years we have trained 18 Gripen aircrew and 52 Hawks aircrew - SAAF has more jet-qualified pilots than the Nigerian Aiforce has jets!! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:20pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
Henry120: So, why don't you provide evidence that you have more than 9 Pilots? According to testimony at the arms deal commission, 18 Gripen aircrew (navigators and pilots) have been trained up to operational status to date and 52 Hawk aircrew have been trained so far. http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=31821This has been posted hundreds of times. Henry120: At present the SAAF can only muster six qualified Gripen pilots who only have 150 flying hours available across the whole Gripen squadron this year, according to Maynier. The annual target for fighter flying hours was 250 for the 2011/2012 period, according to the Department of Defence’s most recent Annual Report.

SAAF only has 6 qualified Gripen Pilots, and only 9 Gripen Pilots of a total Gripen crew of 18. Long debunked statements from a man who is not a member of the SANDF Your man made these allegations to parliament on 13 March 2013On 09 September 2013 the SANDF formally replied to his allegations with the following: Bayne said the Gripen fleet has flown 3 500 hours since 2008 while the 24-strong Hawk fleet has flown over 10 000 major accident-free hours since 2005. According to testimony at the arms deal commission, 18 Gripen aircrew (navigators and pilots) have been trained up to operational status to date and 52 Hawk aircrew have been trained so far.http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=31821And need I remind you, that it is now 2015 - meaning these numbers will have grown. Now, henry120, I emplore you to stop posting outdated information that has long been debunked |
