Henry120: - No evidence.
- you cannot read and understand properly. Seems to be a severe structural flaw you South-Africans have in your educational system. I said, they are more than a match for any western system, and the T-14 is simply in a whole new class above anything anyone has.
- the Problem is from India, not the Russians. Thousands of fighter planes fly with Russian engines. Chinese 5th Generation fighters are powered by Russian engines. The Chinese fly over a hundred SU-30s, Same as Russia, Indonesia etc etc.
Western Fighter jets in the last decade have a worse reliability record. Hungary lost 2 Gripen Jets in one month(may). F-16 and F-15's have been falling of the sky like they got hit by a high frequency EMP burst.
The SU-30's are very capable fighters hence they need proper maintenance. T-14 cant even complete a parade without breaking down and is hardly a match for things like the K2 or Type 10. Its not even that advanced, its systems can be found on multiple tanks and unmanned turrets are old news Also, it still uses an ammunition carousel - which means one hit and it will pop its cork in the manner made so famous by the T-72 |

stillchris: and they still won't see anything wrong with this fact because it's WESTERN.
these south africans and their western as5licking is just too obvious.
that's why their government wants to covertly arrest bashir so their western lords will praise them. We want to arrest Bashir because he is a fvcking war-criminalWestern tech is superior to russian tech as has been shown in a plethora of wars - from Isreal buttfvcking the whole arab world (three times), to the Americans turning Iraq into a massive pile of stones and bones and to the Indians turning pakistani's into pink mist. |

agaugust: [s]Fool, ATR-42 is a long range ISTAR platform, it does NOT fly into battlefield if their is capable threat. Yet ATR-42 Surveyor has anti-missile self defences, chaff/flare counter measures, and anti-jamming devices.
NAF ATR-42 does not use only radar you M0R0N, it has long range TV camera with magnification lens to video watch the battlefield from a safe distance beyond reach of enemy air defences, and if need be it can be escorted by jet fighters to stop enemy jets in the air.
No country in the world flies ISTAR aircraft into battle theatre of air to air threats without escort by fighter jets. You are a domingo block head.
SANDF/SAAF does not have any ISTAR aircraft with long range TV camera for visuals of battlefield from same distance, you will never understand ISTAR until 50 million South Afrivans raise funds via bank loan to buy one of Nigeria's type of aircraft [/s] . Load of nonsense that contradicts what you said about the Gripen and its recce pods. ATR-42 is designed for maritime patrol, it is incapable of operating in a contested airspace. |

agaugust: ATR-42 Surveyor radar range is 407 km.....that's confirmed now.
Live with it.....oh ! You are afraid of the African king of radars ? Cool.
Trust me, I don't make claims without evidence. It's 407 km radar on NAF ATR-42 just confirmed.
We enjoy the fear and terror Nigerian ISTAR gives 50 million South Africans . Citation needed for ATR radar range |

Henry120: You are obviously senile!
The T-72B3, T-80U and T-90A2 are more than a match for any western MBT. The T-14 is on a whole new level. It is pound for pound the best MBT in the world.
Indian MKI's are the best in their class. The Problem with the incidences with Indian MKI's are primarily down to indian maintenance/ mechanical faults. HAL bears primary responsibility for for their action or inaction with india's SU fleet.
Western, Primarily US made fighter jets have been involved in more crashes than those from Russia in the last half a decade. The T-72 is literally the worst tank in the world. Its only amazing capabilities is its world renowned crew killing technologyAnd no, those platforms do not stand a chance against the latest gen of Western MBTs - hency why russia felt compelled to build a new tank |

Henry120: All of them are swing role fighters retarrd!!
Also my classification was primarily based on capabilities. No, they are multi-role, strike fighters and air-superiority fighters. Different classes with completely different capabilities. The irony that you call me a "retarrd" when you think an F-16 is in the same category of aircraft as a Rafael or Eurofighter My sides |

ATR-42 radar range is 407 km NOT 330 km.....point of correction....407 km for NAF radar.

agaugust: [s]#ignorance.
We have educated you many times about Nigerian procurement list and secret proceedures.
Procurement takes time, but NAF has named it`s platforms to be purchased and we have evaluated them.
Tucano was dropped and NAF chose Su-25 Frogfoot Scorpion Variant for COIN, even Janes Defence says so :
http://www.janes.com/article/48842/nigeria-looking-for-more-attack-aircraft
Su-30, JF-17 have been evaluated. Choices will be made, one or both jets.
Nigerian military procurement is covered up in secrecy.
We even see secret new combat helicopters inside NAF base, Eurocopters arrived from France secretly now, it was NEVER announced...[/s] . Su-25 Frogfoot, Tucano, Su-30, JF-17, T80 Oplot, AirLand Scorpion, ATAK helicopter... The list of imaginary new toys grows by the day |

agaugust: You keep sying Nigeria wasted money on ISTAR like ATR-42, yet South African air force chief of staff was crying and begging ANC government for money to buy ordinary Beechcraft ISTAR that NAF has been using for years, yet Pretoria government keeps saying no money.
I am sure SAAF is ready to buy NAF aircraft second-hand on credit if we allow your cash-broke SANDF to tender for sale on credit . You really want to compare who has more money? SANDF budget is allmost double yours, and soon it will be quadruple yours |

[s]ATR-42 Surveyor of NAF has 407 km radar range ! Fact !
Multi-mission capable for air to land and air to sea ISTAR.
It also does partial AWACS for secondary air to air ISTAR missions.
It`s radar is jamming proof and anti-ECM.
Facts ! All Factual Facts !

One single NAF Beechcraft ISTAR is = the whole SAAF aircraft fleet . Weird that you would say that Since your Beechraft is not ISTAR Unless you mean I-STARE because that is all the crew of a VIP transport can do - stare out the window |

agaugust: SAAF helicopters have NO recce radar to gather intelligence.
Gripen with recce pod = F-7 jet with recce pod.
Cessna is a toy plane with ZERO radar.
One single NAF Beechcraft ISTAR aircraft outclasses and out-performs ALL the South African air force recce and surveillance aircraft combined.
SAAF = ZERO ISTAR in 21st century . Gripen Recce Pod > F-7 Recce Pod Lynx has just such a radar Cessna has the capabilities to comply with the definition of ISTAR Your Beechcraft are not ISTAR platforms - they are VIP transport |
