Many of us (esp young men) are guilty as charged. I wanted hairs so badly in my adolescent years. I used ogogoro, 'special leaves', herbs and methilated spirit so as to belong to the esteemed mature boys group. Today, I spend a lot trying to control the hairs. I buy shaving stick, razor blade, powder, scissors, Clippers, after shave (to mention a few). Without these kit, it's rashes and scratches galore. I contend with hairs in my ears, nose, lips, anus, pubis, chin, hands, legs, ampits, chest, back, nipples, in fact everywhere! Life's like that. |
OBJ never ceases to amaze me with a beauty queen? This is highly unnecessary in my view. Baba Iyabo needs to remain in Otta Farm. |
Boko Haram Training Camp in the making. Nigerians take cover. Seriously though, why do we like deceiving ourselves. There are no good schools in the North, Almajiris everywhere and yet we prefer to build schools for other countries |
This one na praying mantis dance no be azonto. Alanta or suo would be more appropriate |
My heart goes out to his family (his first wife and his second wife and her children). It suprises me that after releasing many popular albums, Patty still died poor thanks greedy record marketers. Adieu my namesake! |
I was at Opebi Roundabout yesterday when the incident took place. People were running here and there. The funny and surprising thing is that there is usually a heavy presence of gun-totting Policemen at Opebi/Allen Roundabout where they are "in action" arresting the "usual suspects" (the okada riders, passers-by, civilians going about their normal business). I remember very well that these policemen all along converted that roundabout to a sort of "police station". There is also another set of heavy police presence at Obafemi Awolowo Roundabout (in front of Alade Market) where policemen hide behind flowers in order to 'catch' motorists who may mistakenly cross the line or jump the traffic light. But when they heard of the robbery, they all disappeared. Na wa o! Police is our friend! |
Rocket launchers, rocket propelled grenades, rockets and AK 47 munition in the hands of armed robbers and kidnappers! Hmnn! Nigerians, are we safe? No wonder our policemen de run away whenever armed robbers strike. |
Biblically, only one reason will suffice: marital infidelity (Mt. 19:8,9). Every other marital issue can be settled. If the problem become such that they cannot handle; or if there is threat to life, assault, battery, violence etc, the couple can separate with a view to reconciling in the future (1 Cor 7:10-16). If they fail to reconcile, they will have to remain unmarried for life (Mal 2:15,16). |
[omayyi ]UNN is in the past, dude. It's not even among the top 10 in Naija at the moment.[/quote]That is how some of you fail WAEC. They ask you question A, and you are answering question B! Anyway do you know how universities are rated? Do you know that a university might be the best but is if it does not supply information needed by the rating agencies, it will not be rated high? True, University of Ilorin has been the highest rated university in Nigeria. But meeen we know ourselves more than American rating agencies. UNILAG dey there, UNN dey there, OAU dey, UI dey, ABU dey self; and we Nigerians know the stuff these institutions are made of. This is not taking anything away from some private universities. |
Ikengawo is very correct. I personally have a few reservations against Gov Fashola. But when compared with GEJ and other governors, you find him miles ahead. He is a forward-looking, globally-thinking and innovative leader. I used to hear of the wonderful performance of Gov Rochas until I went to Owerri last August. Refuse litterally took over Douglas Road and streets around the Old Market. The road leading to FUTO can best be described as a "horrow way" or maybe "river road". So many other developmental indices are the same. If BRF can complete the light rail projects, Lagos will be a different place. |
What amazes me and sometimes annoys me is the attitude towards the Igbos by certain 'Igbos' found in Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo and Delta States. How could someone bear Ibo names all through, practice Igbo culture and speak Igbo language as his mother tongue, yet he claims he is not Igbo? To me some of this attitude has to do with the loss of Nigerian civil war by the Biafrans (no one wants to associate with a loser). To me these ones should simply change their names to Kwame, Osama or Mugabe or something else. For crying out loud, there is no Nigerian ethnic group called "Ikwere" or "Delta Ibo" |
The people who break the law most of the time are law enforcement agents - judges, policemen, men of the armed forces and other quasi paramilitary agents. Trust me. |
Forget all the 'Checkdisk' bullshit, never mind the OS 'Repair' formula which does not work all the time. Call me for a time-tested method of using Win 98 to format and prepare your HDD for newer version OS installation. My number is 08186449001. You will be surprised! You can follow the procedure to test a newly procured HDD to see if it will work well. It serves too when you have a variety of other related issues. @ Luvly Kris, change your DVD/CD ROM. Ashish 12, try Ultimate Window. Cheers |
I am a good System Engineer willing to relocate to Abuja from Lagos but I can't afford a shop in Abuja. Any way to assist? Call me on 08186449001. Thanks |
For years, Cameroun has been a very bad neighbor to Nigeria. If their gendarmes are not shooting our people, then their mountains and lakes will be spilling poisonous gas; if they are not taking our land (Lake Chad and Bakassi), then they will be sending water to flood our towns and villages. Even their Indomitable Lions in many instances will not allow us to qualify to African and world tournaments. And our goverments will be doing 'sidon look'. We need a real leader. |
Of all so called 'christian' denominations, the Catholic Church is the lowest in the ladder of understanding Bible truths. In their elaborate cathedrals, they have what they call grotto where idol images are worshipped (infact their cathedrals are full of idols). They have a clergy class that refuse to marry but find pleasure in sexually molesting children. They burnt people on stakes for trying to find out the truth from the Bible in the days of the Spanish Inquisition. They continue to worship Mary just because God used her to bring his son into the world. They therefore call Mary the Mother of God. If God has a mother, shouldn't he have a father and grandfather and grandmother and great grandfather etc. Wouldn't God have uncles, cousins, aunties and nephews? In that case, God will no longer be God but man. What a way to debase the essence of God. Some say Catholicism is a major, reprehensible part of the world empire of false religion. I say they are the habinger of satanic confusion we have in the world today. See Revelation 18:2-5. Get out of there my people! |
No matter how simple the subject is, people like Stagger and Promoe Eze will never understand it. The reason is because they do not want to accept an error of major belief held by their religions for centuries. It serves Satan's purpose for many to continue to believe the lie that God is a Trinity, even when God himself and his son Jesus have clarified these matters in countless number of scriptures. 1 Cor 1:18-21 refer to people like this as foolish and are perishing. 2 Thes 2:3-12 says that since these ones remain obstinate, God allows them to continue to believe the 'mystery' lie, but to their detriment. Thank God, no Bible even has the phrase 'God the son' or 'God the Holy Ghost'. These are all human inventions thought in churches as truths to gullible church goers. Compare Isaiah 40:25; 42:8; 43:10,11; 44:6,8; Deut 6:4, etc |
It has always been my earnest wish that Igbo and Yoruba unite and work together. Nigeria would have been a different place if this unity was possible. Many Yorubas have contributed immensely to Igbo causes. Col Banjo was even a Biafran soldier. So many modern-day Igbos and Yorubas have been collaborating in sports, economy, business, education, technology and other areas. Yet When it comes to politics, both sides don't seem to see eye-to-eye. The future progress of Nigeria should rest on these two major ethnic groups with the minority tribes. Unfortunately, the Yorubaman cannot be trusted. In any transaction with the Yoruba (political, business and otherwise), please watch your back. The Igboman too can sell an entire tribe for a few millions. That is why other tribes, especially the Hausa-Fulani uses them to scuttle well-meaning Nigerian Agenda. They cannot even put their acts together especially, politically. So the Hausa-Fulani continues to feel that ruling Nigeria is their birthright. And here we are! |
This is not how the way to a federal university should look.

Welcome to inflation, welcome to Zimbabwe (1 million Zim dollars = 1 bottle of coke; 5 wraps of fufu will be N1 million)! This is really Sanusinomics, abi na Okonjo-Iwealanomics? Men are the cause of this problem. Body enhancements are made to be attractive to the men. For the same reason, many women are fake - high heeled shoes (to add height) Brazilian hair (to add hair), false eye lashes, false nails, false teeth. false breasts, false complexion, false facial look (courtesy makeup), at times even false buttocks! Everyrthing false and fake. |
Na today? Cement for all by the year 2000! |
