Lero15: They shd learn frm Agbonlahor and John Fashanu
Very well said. I remember when Nigeria dey beg Fashanu and his homosexual brother. Each time they insisted that they preferred England seeing them as more "pretigious". After nko? Who regret? Fashanu became a latter day lover of Nigerian football after his football carreer witnessed a shipwreck! Victor made a wise decision and he will certainly play many prestigious international games with Nigeria in future. If he had chosen the Three Lions, patapata na only one or two games dem go use am before killing his carreer. He would just be warming the substitution bench perpetually.
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Is So Special About January 1st? by patostation(m): 12:03am On Jan 01, 2013
It is just that many religious leaders try to hype up January 1 for percuniary reasons. They frighten their members that if they do not participate in the "cross-over" prayers, things will not go well for them. But this is a big lie. If we have to watch and pray, we need to do it everyday from January to December for we do not know when the Master will return.
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Is So Special About January 1st? by patostation(m): 11:48pm On Dec 31, 2012
If you are to view the issue from the angle of various calenders, then January 1 will be as insignificant as any other day. Consider that there is the Jewish calender in which the 1st month Nisan fall between March and April. There was a Roman Calender, then the Julian Calender developed by the Greeks. The Muslims also follow a calender that does not in any way make January 1 the first day of the year. True, the Gregorian Calender (instituted by Pope Gregory XIII) is in general use today but the point is that the days are just arbitrary, man-made at best. So why make it look special when it is just another day? As God's Word rightly pointed out, "one man judges one day as above another, another man judges one day as all others" (Rom 14:5) Compare Gal 4:8-11, Col 2:16,17.
PoliticsRe: Governor Idris Wada Involved In Car Accident by patostation(m): 9:13pm On Dec 29, 2012
ignis: This man should be flown abroad as soon as possible. What is he still doing in Nigeria hospital?
Flown to which abroad? He has to be treated in one of the 'special health centers' built, equipped and advertised by his fellow successive PDP governors in Kogi State. If he should die there fine. After all, where do thousands of Nigerians that have accidents daily get treated? Abroad? Karma is catching up with the politicians. If they fly, their plane would crash; if they travel by road, they will have accidents. Solution: stop stealing our commonwealth. Build roads and hospitals.
PoliticsRe: Governor Idris Wada Involved In Car Accident by patostation(m): 8:02pm On Dec 28, 2012
Abujafood: That's a bit harsh because Wada just came in besides he's trying to undo 8 years of bad governance from his predecessor!
Wada just come in abi? To undo the effects of 8 years of bad governance from which party? Na today we begin hear this kind story? And after Wada's 8 years of "Good Governance" another PDP governor will come and undo his 8 years of bad governance. Who is deceiving who? In short Abujafood, e be like say you don wak plenty 'Abuja political food'!
Christianity EtcRe: Lagos Demolishes N100m Church During Service! by patostation(m):
Why is Gov Fashola always in a hurry to destroy existing church buildings in Lagos State while there are so many quasi mosques springing up in every nook of the state and in mainly unauthorized locations - under bridges, inside army and police barracks, inside government office premises etc? Is it becuase he is a muslim? Has he teemed up with Boko Haram? Just wondering cry
EducationRe: OAU Graduates 78 First Class Students by patostation(m): 9:08pm On Dec 19, 2012
My Alma Mater does not award first class degrees anyhow. In my year of graduation, there were less than 10 first class graduates. It is a legacy I am very proud of though sometimes we are at a disadvantage in the job market and national ranking. In my office I find so many 2.1 and 2.2 graduates who run to me to help them draft one letter or the other because they simply cannot write a common memo. But I have a 2.2! It baffles me how schools are dishing out academic and honorary degrees. It does not help Nigeria. All things said, I must acknowledge my respect for OAU. I am a Great Lion.

Trust Naija 'men of God'. Just because Suntai crash and Yakowa died, every prediction henceforth must be a plane crash. In fact I don't even need to be a "man of God" to know that "accidents" will continue to happen in Nigeria due to our 'excellent maintainance culture'. Check out my predictions for 2012/2013:
Plane crashes
Road accidents
Pipeline fires
Fuel scarcity and queues at filling stations
Removal of remaining subsidy
More politicians to die in foreign hospitals
ASUU, TUC, NMA, NUT and NLC strikes
Increase in price of rice and garri
Return of Gov. Suntai from treatment abroad.

PoliticsRe: Have You Ever Been Slapped By A Policeman. by patostation(m): 1:03am On Dec 11, 2012
I saw some policemen arresting tens of okadas at Opebi Roundabout and loading the machines into a trailer. I picked my phone, switched the camera to capture the event. Unknown to me, one of the olopa beside me was in mufti. Na so yawa gas. Come see beating, kicking and slapping. My glasses were broken and my phone confiscated. After treating myself, i have been reflecting on the incident, not sure of what offence i commited. I called my lawyer who said i was lucky to have escaped alive, that i should never do that in Nigeria. I later recovered my phone through some respectable sympatisers and the pictures are still with me. Funny enough, the most violent of the olopas is my tribesman

Q8. In which churches do pastors accept stolen money from thieves?
Christianity EtcRe: Which Church Do You Attend And Why? by patostation(m): 1:38am On Dec 10, 2012
All those saying the church they attend is where they were born need to make a personal search so as to find their religion
@try69, do you need to go to this extent to discredit the Witnesses. As far as I know, most robbers, thieves, witches, mentally challenged persons, political rogues, war mongers and deliquents of various sorts can only be associated with churches other than Witnesses.
The NL forum has offered everyone a chance to say something they like about their religious. If you have nothing good to tell about yours why be jelous as to attack teebiz.
Regarding the atheist, you do not believe in God. Yet whenever issues concerning religious is being discussed, you will come out to criticize. And some so-called "christians" will be hailing you! Well wisdom is proved right by its works.

How do gays manage things, I mean lovemaking for instance? Rumours have it that they put their manhood into their mates' anus where it mixes with shit. Tufiakwa! Very disgusting. Very unnatural. Very ungodly. I even hear that some of these people do go to church and that they read places such as Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:27! Even Genesis 19:5 and other places showing why God destroyed Sodom And Gomorrah. And Judges 19:22. Na wa o
Christianity EtcRe: Is Going To Church Necessary For Salvation? by patostation(m):
There are a few questions to be answered:
1. How will individual that are spiritually sick receive help? (James 5:13-15)
2. How will the Elders pay attention to the congregation of God as Acts 20:28 recommends?
3. How will the christian Overseers shepherd the flock of God put in their care by God? (1Pet 5:2)
4. How will christians organise important events that are mandatory for salvation if every christian stayed back at home to do his own thing? Think of the festival of Penticost at Acts 2. Think the remembrance of Christ's death which Jesus instructed that must be observed once a year (1Cor 11:25,26) etc.
5. Think of other gathering of God's people in the Bible which we are aske to emulate at Deut. 31:12, Mt 18:20, Acts 2:24, Acts 20:8, Heb 10:24,25 etc?
6. God gave instruction through his son Jesus that christians MUST preach about his kingdom. How is this work going to be organized and who will carry it out if everyone stayed away? (Acts 1:8, Mt 28:19,20, Mt 10:1-42) The list goes on and on.
7. Without a place of gathering, how will the congregation receive vital information and instruction from the 'Discreet Slave' (Mt 24:45-47) and from Jesus himself a la Rev 1, 2 & 3 where he wrote to the 'churches' in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicia?
As you can see, going to the right place of worship is very essential for salvation
PoliticsRe: Fashola Arrests Policeman Riding Okada On Restricted Road. by patostation(m): 3:07pm On Nov 30, 2012
Check it out yourself, the only persons cruising their okadas about town now are policemen. I bet you those bikes may belong to hapless citizens who have no other means of supporting themselves. But the machines have been "seized" by the agents of governments who end up using them to commit the same offense for which the rightful owners were arrested. What a Nigerian irony.

That's where you got it wrong. Anybody can die any time. That the man is older than the woman does not necessarily mean that he will die first. So many things can cause death. I am over 30 but my secondary school g/f looks like my mum now even though I gave her 5 yrs. How about that?

PoliticsRe: Patrick Obahiagbon, On Nigerian Pastors And Private Jet by patostation(m):
People like Desmund will continue to be slaves of men (Rom 6:16), thinking that they are serving God. How can anyone justify this private jet craze by the so-called 'men of God'. These pastors are deceiving their flock that there is a place in heaven for them to enjoy after the 'rapture' while they are busy amassing wealth on earth, cruising the world in yatches and private jets. Meanwhile, they have not turned their nearest neighbor to become a true christian. Yet, they pretend to travel to the end of the earth to make disciples. Jesus knew that they would appear so he warned about them before returning to heaven (Mt 24:24,25; See also Acts 20:29,30). They are the Scribes and Pharisees of today whom Jesus lambasted at Mt 23 for seating themselves in the seat of Moses, the ones he called offspring of vipers for misleading people. Bible consistently encourage Christians to be like Jesus who trekked around, built no house and had just one costly dress (1Tim 6:6-10). These pastors can deceive those they can, not me
