JustMellow:
Hello Patterns18,

Its now a dream for most parents in this modern day Nigeria to see their children grow up outside her terrain. Its never a rule to the number of applicants tied to a sponsor as long as the financial requirement, commitment and sufficiency is met.

You shouldn't adhere to this advice but if you eventually file in this application, it may reek of desperation and the question of genuineness will be put in mark.

Everybody on the list can't just be on a study visa on one go. This is not me trying to say its a red flag or not possible but in otherwords, its discretionarily not right especially on the inclusion of your spouse also filing for a SP. Considerably right, even if you're determine to move your family and/or if your spouse doesn't qualify for EE, she should file as the PA and "some" of the children as accompanying dependent...

...or you can decide to move your children in twos and apply for a visit visa for your spouse. In as much as funds is a crucial part of the SP process, it has other technical and logical aspect of assessment which well describes genuineness. Mind you, applying for a study permit for them respectively means their application will be processed and assessed individually EXCEPT they're acting as accompanying dependent to your spouse and she using the children's admissions as leverage to demonstrate that they won't be a distraction.

Then again, other factors comes to bear like why waste funds when the younger ones could easily get free education and what measures has been taken to ensure that the baby don't act as a distraction. There are so many QUESTIONS to be asked and if there isn't ENOUGH answers stretched out to enable the VO make a proper assessment in arriving to a precise decision, the question of genuineness will resurface.

Since you're determined to accept whatever outcome the application brings forth given that you've already made some financial commitment, you can only try to be convincing enough and clear out blur areas in their application. The approach to processing their application is a make or mar situation. Depending on the approach, endeavour you have a good and/or reliable source of income and strong home ties amongst others.

In conclusion, the chances of a single application is not even guarantee let alone a family application. Keep what you believe in close and wish for the best.

N.B: what has been said is basically of my standpoint and mine alone.

All the best
Many thanks for taking out time to share, I really appreciate.

(For a friend) Thanks for the free assistance Seniors. Please I need guidance, here is my situation...I'm saying it Black/White;
I have 5 kids, first is done with Secondary school, second and third in secondary school, fourth in primary school and last a baby (Canadian citizen). I want them all to move to Canada including my wife while I remain in Naija. This is what I have done;
Got and paid the admission for my First child into a University in Canada,
Got and paid for a private school for the (Second, Third and Fourth) in Canada and gotten a College for my wife to attend while with the kids in Canada.
I intend to apply for a student Visa for all of them, what are my chances of success?

Thank you once again for your anticipated assistance......

kissoflife:
1) Login to CIC account.
2) Go to section "Link an existing application to this account". Click on "Link application to this account" button.
3) Select category as PR Card
4) Select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"
5) Fill required details (please make sure of capital, small, comma etc.)
6) Provide landing date in "Date you became a permanent resident"
7) Click on 'search my application'
cool after application searched, make sure you submit application else it not link

Once you have successfully linked your application it will show you as "Submitted" status and once it is ready for dispatch it will go into "Approved" status.

The steps above were copied from a Blackbuddy's post and it worked for me but after like a month of landing.
Do they usually ask for new photos before PR card is issued?

Hello house. I'm glad to be a bonafide member of this thread. PPR landed today and we intend landing in Ontario by the middle of July. Hubby is into IT and also has many years of banking experience while i used to be an office assistant. Are there pre landing services we can register for in Canada to facilitate our job search and also what are the best areas to narrow our search for house hunting in the Greater Toronto Area. We have 3 kids(5,4 and 2 year olds)
Try SOPA, google them.

Good morning All
Please am new to this thread and i have been reading every page from part 2.
I just need a clarification,
My spouse and I intend to write IELTS in May, that is the earliest date we can get. I have a BSc and MSc from different universities in Nigeria and i also have another MSc from UK.
My wife has OND and HND.
I have more than 10 years work experience but no relatives or family members living in Canada.
Please i intend registering with WES to evaluate my degrees but i need clarifications:-

1. From the past pages, i read i should just evaluate only the highest degre, so i can use my UK Msc since that may be faster to process. Please what do you advise for my spouse.
2. Is there anything else we can do to have high points for Express entry.

I will appreciate any response. Sincere apologies if this has been answered before, I may not have gotten to the page.

Have a blessed weekend.

Dear all, pls I need your advise. I am intending to begin the process of application, I will be 37 in May and a first degree holder with over 5 years work experience . Is it advisable I go for my Masters degree in order to boost my CRS score or I go ahead with my application (using my 1st degree) aiming to have high score in IELTS?

Good evening everyone, hope you all had a great day.
Well done to all the gurus who take out time to answer questions asked.

Please, concerning PCC... I live in badagry area of Lagos State, but I work as a lecturer in a university across the border in Cotonou. I cross the border almost every day to and from work. I have been doing this for Four years, but I have only passed a night in Cotonou.

Will I be required to produce a PCC for Benin Republic?
Lets consider this, then you decide appropriately..

1. Did you get stamps on your passport for everytime you crossed the border ? PCC will be required if Yes.

2. Working in Benin for 4 years, I presume you intend to
add that to you work history? How can you prove that without 1• above? If you can, you still have clearly showed you stayed in the country for over 6 months ...

...The above is only suggestive, you will have to decide.

I've it but I wasn't told this.
This is not the standard across all banks in Nigeria. I know GTB operates this way, they separate their Dom account from the Dollar debit card account. I.e. you must transfer from your USD A/c to the card account to transact with the Card.

Some banks link the Dollar Debit card directly to your main Bank USD A/c, so your transact directly on the main account.

If your card is a USD credit card, its always separate from your main account

If she has done a change of name already and her international passport carries your surname, I will advice you register with the new name.

There was some long discussion about this lately.

If you upload only your current passport datapage and all markings on it, you should be fine. That's what some people who have got PPR did. They had no problems. That's probably the best to do.
Thanks for the tip
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Patterns18: 1:04pm On Sep 16, 2017
Please does the requirement to upload all markings on your travel document apply to all your passports i.e. both current and expired or just your current passport.

Hi all, thanks for the good job here. I have a question that bothers on POF, not sure it had been covered in the past as I have been following keenly from page 200there about.

I have about 80% of my POF in a money market account specifically ARM asset management for the past 4 months. I am confused whether to withdraw the money and keep in my personal bank account in preparation for ITA. I really don't want to write LOE for POF since I have the money already though in a non-traditional fixed deposit.

Thanks

Tspice2015:
You do not need to move your money out from ARM. ARM is a financial institution and your investment with the company is valid and acceptable by CIC.
Hmm, this is a bit tricky. ARM Assets Management is a non bank financial institution but more specifically Asset managers. I.e. they invest your funds in equities. I read up somewhere, CIC states " Funds for POF" must be readily available" i.e. near liquid.

we are just trying to figure out how to use the 5 year student visa to our advantage with a goal at immigrating Canada (without him quitting his job to study).

One advantage maybe to use the time for ground work, apply for jobs recognised under CIC which can give him extra points on EE once he get a confirmed employment from an employer.
