This your list is wrong. Remove Shell and slumberger from that list. |
I want to appeal to those already schooling or working in Canada to enlighten us about the current living conditions over there. How easy it is to get a job while schooling and after you completed your program? How is the weather condition and other stuffs. Thanks |
Ojekkk:With regards to flight to Toronto,Turkish airline is cheaper and better.Less than 250k,check their website or cheap flight. |
SLEEMYDRIZ:For you to get good advice and inputs you need to state things clear. What documents did you submit to prove funds? How much is in your uncle's SOA? |
It is a great fallacy to call those guys militants. Amnesty UK scholarship were up for sales at a time and those that had the money paid and got it.If I had paid then and made a first class I would have been tagged an intelligent militant. The real militant has no business with school. |
shakur01:The school is Bow valley college, Calgary. |
Greetings to all the gurus in the house,I have questions which I need answers to. I got admission for a two years diploma program, the tuition fee per year is $14,000Cad and I have paid $1500 already as requested. My question is; will a sponsor's account having 8Million and my personal account having 2Million be sufficient?please I need help. |
My greatest fear is being locked up in a hole with no escape route. |
Ranchhoddas:I can only agree with you on ' No Orchids for Miss Blandish' that was the only James Hadley chase book I could not finish. It was quite boring. But the others are classics. |
Drefan2:Are u serious? That book is classic, filled with so much suspence. Pls try and read it very well. |
The vulture is a patient bird by James Hadley Chase Not safer to be free by James Hadley Chase Goldfish has no hiding place by James Hadley Chase The Firm by John Grisham Second class citizen by Buchi Emecheta |
tobimillar:I am not trying to say there is insecurity in Warri/ Uwvie, for you to live anywhere is all about your mind. A real Warri boy is bold and fearless,he does not need to shout or make noise like those Lagos touts. But he believes you cannot scam or obtain him just like that. I have spent sometime in Lagos and I move about freely without any iota of fear. |
Such write ups make it seems as if everyone who lives in Lagos is sharp and street wise. But in reality when they travel outside Lagos to a place like Warri/Effurun they feel so uncomfortable, fear and timidity are written all over them. Those bad guys in Mushin,Ajegunle cannot hold ground in Warri, they use them shine. |
The OP is not a real Delta boy.You just murdered Ogwo soup by that pic you posted. Delta central to be specific is blessed with great meals. Those who live in Warri,Effurun,Sapele,Ughelli, etc will be familiar with these nice delicacies; Banga soup made with perrywinkle,dried/fresh fish and Kpomo. Oghwo soup with Starch(Usi) made with Tiko(dried meat), dried fish and kpomo. Iribotor made with good bonga fish or dried fish Emugari( White Egusi soup) with Eba Isifeniya(kpokpo garri jollof) with fried pig. Bangs rice Coconut rice Ukodo made with Yam/plantain, fresh fish or goat intestines |
Pyroxene:I can see u belong to my generation, most of these people cannot relate with these things you said.I cannot forget The 2005 Aluta to Government house spearheaded by Faculty of Engineering led by great men like Udengs,Aluyor,Aluta choir master, etc.Ekosodin is not as bad as people say,I lived there from 100L till Finals,I had no issues,I go to school to read and come back 12-1am and no encounter with robbers or cultists. The decline of UNIBEN started from the first post-Ume set in 2006. |
When washing your engine do not allow them to use that water pressure machine to wash the engine sensitive parts such as Alternator, coil, nozzle, sensors, fuses, plug area, carburetor in manual cars, kick starters, etc. They should wash these parts with rag and little water. You need to be there to guide them and ensure that those sensitive parts are well covered with polythene bag or rags. |
People should be careful about earthen pond.In other to succeed with it you must ensure to sort your fishes from time to time. You must separate the shoot outs from the other fingerlings to avoid the shoot out feeding on the smaller ones. Concrete and tarpaulin ponds are more better, you can easily monitor and sort your fish. I wish you success OP. |
Wow,congrats Chika,a pretty,lively,down-to-earth and sound product of the dept of petroleum engineering, the Great Uniben. |
CMR is for Lagos licence plate only.If your car does not carry Lagos plate number then you do not need it. police always look out for Lagos licence plate to see if you have CMR or not. |
In the past i have loved great Nollywood actors like Pete Edochie,RMD,Saint Obi but I think chiwetalu Agu stands out. His creativity is second to none. I know a lot of his slangs but I can't write in Ibo. My favorites are: 1. Igbogwu oka 2. Isiri Ina gbonsha, isiri ina gbonusha |
I want to wish you a happy birthday. You are one of the few guys I appreciate and respect on Nairaland.I miss those your threads a lot. |
With the low funds you have I will advise you go into poultry farming but not layers. You can go into broiler rearing, you only rear them for 7 weeks and sell them for N1000 each,I used to do that some years ago. With less than 100k u can rear 100 and start with that. Fish farming would have been your best bet but from your statement you do not have water supply in the land. A friend of mine does not rear his fishes to table size anymore,he rear them for 3 months and sell those who dry the fishes and package them for export, with that 80k can rear 1000 fishes. |
It is a well known fact that the Obi is a good christian. I believe he went against the gods of the land and some elders with his christian practices. His father was a traditionalist but when he took over he burnt all the juju in the palace and refused to participate in any traditional rituals. Before he became Obi no one could steal a pin in that palace and go free but because of the things safeguarding the palace are no more there he was easily kidnapped. He should have stayed away from the kingship if he was not ready to uphold the customs and traditions of his people. His death was a sad one.RIP ADUBA1: |
I knew this guy will get national attention someday. The stress he goes through to package himself is sometimes difficult to believe he is actually selling fruits. His shirts are always well ironed and he moves around Benin city. I wonder how much he makes a day selling apples and strawberries. |
This guy cannot be the tallest guy in Nigeria, back then in Uniben I know of a guy who graduated from Engineering he will be around 7ft 3",as a 6ft guy standing closed to him I was same position as that lady standing with the Hafiz guy.my 6ft 7" friend feels intimated whenever the guy gets closed to him. That is to tell you how tall that guy his. |
Is it leather seat?where is the car located and what is the last price? |
Bro I beg you to take your mind off Golf 3,I bought mine as Tokunbo,I will not even allow my enemy to buy that car.I do not really know anything about the 2000 model Carina E. C-class Benz is a nice car,the spare parts are cheap, the engine is around 40k,good fuel economy also.Instead of Carina E why not go for Toyota Avensis of similar model or Pencil light Camry. LKO: |
LKO:Golf 3 was the first car I bought and I know what I went through.I suffered a lot,a week does not pass without me going to the mechanic or electrician.Issues includes cold starting problems in the morning, break and quench in the afternoon, break disc and clutch problems, shaft and tie rod problem, carburretor, coil or module problems, the list is endless.I recommend used 96 model toyota camry,1998 model camry(pencil light),1998 toyota corolla and C-class Benz for low income earners. These cars have second hand value and won't give you problems. |
Additional used cars to avoid include; Land rover Freelander V6 Voltswagen Golf 3 Golf 4 Voltswagen passat V6 Nissan optima Honda Babyboy Honda Accord 2003(EOD) Toyota Sequoia Nissan Quest Murano |
I ate white rice with ogbono soup.It was weird at first but now I do enjoy it. But it makes my wife want to puke. |
Using glasses come with a lot of challenges. I have been using it since 2002,I am on -3. I find it difficult to play football very well because of poor vision so I had to stop.As an engineer, This poor vision has limited me from doing courses in Weding, fire fighting and some other fields. It has given me a kind of personality which I do not like.People see me differently from how I see my self.I had to change my style of dressing just to look a little bit tough. I only wear jeans and well starched shirt,I do not tuck-in my shirt for any reason. I have suffered a lot of reproach,I wish God could take away this burden frm me. |
One key area where most girls get it wrong is their mode of dressing. As a man, what I can conclude is that most guys prefer a girl who dress in a simple but stylish manner.when you dress too loud or sophisticated you scare a lot of guys away. Ladies who dress in a simple fashion are considered to be decent and easy to approach. It is a fact that most guys lack confidence,so as a lady you need to make it easy for a guy to approach you. A nice pencil or Jeans skirt, jeans trousers nd a simple top, trousers suit, nice gown above the kneel, these give a lady a air of decency. Do away with those heavy make up,Big glasses, ring on your nose and lip. Both good and bad guys want to marry a decent girl,so ladies stop dressing for the players. |
