Going to church and been born into a christian home doesn't make one saved.
Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, and living your life according to God's word in the Bible is what makes one saved.
Many in church confess Christ by words of their mouth but are far from God in their heart. When you have God's word's in your heart, you live by the word and everyone will see the fruit of your christianity.
change this your orientation.
it is called the Nigerian orientation and it is invalid scripturally.
everybody who go to church are all from christian homes or do you see Muslims in church?
no.
accepting Jesus as your lord and Savior is the same thing as, you were once a Muslim or atheist or in another religion apart from Christianity. Then someone preached to you and you accepted to join Christianity. The moment you accepted to join Christianity (become a Christian ) you have accepted Jesus as your lord and personal saviour.
so, salvation is all about change of religion.
and if you have children ofcourse you will groom them to become christians like you, they will not be Muslims. By this. they are all saved.
this is how it apply to reality and how is in the Bible.
not what Nigerian pastors are teaching.
By the way, living your life according to God's word is not feasible assuming God's word says we should live our lives without commiting sin. because everybody commit sin.
therefore we are all saved by grace, that grace is simply becoming a Christian
Christianity Etc › Re: The Acts Of Genuine Faith by paxonel(m): 2:31pm On Mar 03, 2015
FreshGreen:
THE ACTS OF GENUINE FAITH

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Faith in God is not just to believe God for miracle or something, but it is to please God. To believe who God is and displease Him at the same time are contradictory opposite. If you believe that God is holy, righteous, and faithful and you are living unholy, unrighteous and unfaithful life it means your faith in God is fake. Genuine faith in God seeks to please in His commands.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him.” Hebrews 11:6. It is not possible to please God without faith, and it is not possible to have faith without pleasing God. Those preachers and churches who claim faith without holiness and righteousness are false. If your understanding about faith in God is believing God for blessing and miracle, then you have not gotten the clear understanding of the biblical faith.

Genuine faith of the Bible is believing God and pleasing God at the same time. If you believe and you fail to please Him in obedience to His commands, then your faith is fake and unfruitful. Faith without fruitfulness in the word of God is fake. Faith alone will amount to nothing if not accomplished with the work of righteousness. Believing alone without behaving to please God is bad.

Bible categorizes those who believe God without working righteousness as fools, because even demons are better than them. How? Do you know that demons also believe God, and they even tremble? Yet they are condemned, so your belief in God without work of righteousness is empty. James 2:19, 29 “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”

Faith in God without working righteousness in God is dead, such faith is of same level with the faith of demons, and such churches and preachers who teach that all you need is faith in God and His righteousness without you pleasing God in righteous living are teaching doctrines of demons. Demons believe there is God, they believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and they tremble. Mark 5:7, “And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”

So you believe there is God? Devil and demons do. You believe Jesus Christ is Lord? Devil and demons do believe also, they even tremble before God which many “so called” Christians don’t. So what makes difference between your faith and demons’ faith if your faith lacks work of righteousness?

One of the doctrines of demons of this end time is faith without work; it teaches to just believe, confess and cash, but such faith never produces righteousness or holy living in such believers; they are loud in their confessions, they claim to be the righteousness of God, but they lack fruit of righteousness. Apostle Paul warned of such believers, preachers and churches, “having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy3:5.

Faith in God, in Jesus Christ as the Savior is form of righteousness, but the power thereof is living to please God in righteousness and holy living. If you believe in faith without pleasing God in holiness and righteousness, you are ruining your soul, if you are going to a church that teaches faith without working righteousness, you must run away from such, and if you have any book, CD or Christian material that emphasises on faith in God without emphasis on pleasing God in holiness, you must destroy such; Bible warning is “And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy3:5.

Have you gotten genuine faith that pleases God and produces righteousness in your life since you have believed? If not, why not now? All you need to do is to embrace the truth and abandon false teachings about faith; rededicate your life to Jesus and start a new faith that will not fail you on the rapture day.

Jude 3, 4 “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

let's talk here, so that others will learn,
i agree with your view that faith is not just for miracles, But the main thing is for us to have eternal life.
But what you say that faith without works is death means, we should go and work to be saved, which implies that Christ didn't die.
i think you are wrong there.
or are you saying faith without works is dead means we are justified by both faith and works, contradicting
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds(works ) of the law.
and
Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
just know that people are getting knowledge everyday. you African churches can't continue to mislead people with this your work thing.

No matter the church,if you were born into a christian home, whether you are a Catholic or Protestantor aladurah or whatever, Christ don't care.so long you believe in him whom God has sent, which is Jesus Jesus Christ.you are automatically saved.so, all these your religious activities in church is just vanity.just live your life, love everybody (non christians alike ) and enjoy yourself.this is your greatest calling

Really?
yeah!
Jesus says, the greatest law is not going to church, the greatest laws are love.
1 thou shall love God (by believing in Christ in the context of Christianity the new covenant which you have already done by being a Christian and not a Muslim, because we are justified by our faith Christianity ).
2, thou shall love your neighbour(everybody ) as yourself (keeping the 10 commandments or the law ) it's for our own good.
no 1 has nothing to do with no 2.
we are saved by no 2, not no1
think over it and be free from church going or religion

Hello all,
I'm a Christian and I believe in the word of God. Though I'm not there yet as I would consider myself a baby Christian. Due together nature if my job I work six days a week and Sunday is my only free day. Sundaybis when u get to do my laundry, cook, read and have a good night rest.

As a result of this, I have decided to be more active in the weekly services so I can have time to do other things on Sunday.

My question is this, is it a sin to do that? I ask cos I'm still growing in the faith. Is there any particular reason why I must worship in church on sunday. Even God Rested on Sunday and since we are made in the image and likeness of God, I want to rest also.

Please I need constructive and well thought out comments please.

Nb: don't get me wrong, I love the presence of the Lord and I love to worship himself in spirit and truth but sometimes my jobs takes away from my spirit and there s little left to worship God with.

This is an interactive post and I ll also be reading comments and reply as well.
you say you are a baby Christian that you need to learn?
now learn this and be wiser than all pastors and church goers in Nigeria and set yourself free.
as much as going to church is important to learn, God is not interested in church going.
infact, there is no church in heaven.
so, whether you go or not it is still the same thing, don't feel bad that your job is taking your time.
that your job is far more important than church.
you believe in Christ and love your neighbor that's all, you don't have any problem
you don't need church

We are not yet living in heaven as you claim.

Biblical Descriptions of Heaven

There is a constant chant of holy angels that are continually proclaiming Holy, Holy, Holy over the throne of God. The Mercy Seat in heaven where God sits is surrounded by magnificent angels full of glory and power that proclaim and bless the holy name of God without ceasing. Some of these are described as beasts, full of eyes, with six wings and neither rest day or night in their proclaiming the holiness of God (Rev. 4:8-11).

Heaven Descends to the Earth
The Kingdom of Heaven begins on earth, after Christ’s return, the New Jerusalem descends out of heaven and heaven, in the New Jerusalem, will then be on earth. Revelation 21:1-2 describes this: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” The very tabernacle of God will be with humans then and heaven is any place where God is (Rev. 21:3). All pain, suffering, and tears will absent there (Rev. 21:4).

John was carried away to heaven in Revelation chapter 21 and this chapter is perhaps the best description of heaven that we know of; at least the heaven that will be seen by those who are Christ’s today. John describes it in Revelation 21:10-27:

These clearly shows that heaven is in the future. The future is when you die and face judgement or when you are alive and experience the end of time.
thank God you now know that heaven has descended on earth.
i know that people know this truth deep right inside them, But they just want to argue because the truth is contradicting the lie of rapture they have been hearing in church.
they don't want to see their pastors as liars but in the true sense, they are.
there is never a place in revelation that tells us that all the things written there will happen in our future.
is there anything like that?
please show me.
on the contrary, it says it will shortly come to pass, Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things WHICH MUST SHORTLY COME TO PASS...
meaning, it will shortly happen in that generation the revelation was revealed to John of that generation, who wrote it immediately.
you people don't consider time when you read bible
so, i put it to you that everything about the revelation has been fulfilled.
don't go and start enjoying your lives and stop putting yourselves in unnecessary boundage of fear

so, how did you come up with all these?
you sit-down one and day and start reading bible?
or do you have a pastor?
it's is not one day o,
it took me almost seven months to do the research.
i wasn't satisfied with what pastors were teaching
i have to read the whole new testament from Matthew to revelation repeatedly, almost 13 times, before i could come up with something.
what actually opened my eyes was when i went through Romans 10:1 where Paul said i wish that Israel should be saved, pointing that salvation is all about the religion.
from that time i started reading it from Matthew again as if i have never read new testament in my life before. it was like i was playing puzzle. i was picking the pieces of the tiles logically and meticulously.
that was how i finally understood everything.

in the UK nigerians are the most law abiding people because they don't want to be repatriated. But in nigeria, they are lawless people, because nobody is enforcing the law
exactly!
that's how they wait for their pastors and church members to commend them before they know that what they are doing is right.
that's why pastors will not call them christians until they see that they are doing the right thing.

I'm not judging them. Rather, I'm countering your post.

Everyone would be judged according to their deeds - Roman 2:6
that's true!
everyone will be judged according to. their deeds.. Revelation 20:12 says And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
note: that it was the dead that were judged. that means, each time we die ( the coming of Jesus ), Jesus will come and carry out this for everybody.
also, note that two different category of books were opened.
1. the books that contain the deeds of everybody when they were alive on earth, where in they were judged according to their works.
2. the book of life ( the book that contain the names of all christians simply because they believe only, not by their works )
20:15 says, And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire( the second death which is the real death, the first death is just sleep ).
meaning, those whose names found in the book of life will resurect and come back to life, this time with a different body, see 1cor 15:35 down. where you see that God created different kind of body, both therestial and cosmos bodies.
and he give to people body according to his will
1 Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
resurrection of the death here on earth is real.
eternal life is real.
this trend has been going on and on since 2000 years ago since Christ resurrected. you people don't know.
you will die and resurrected and die and resurrected and die and resurrected ( the concept of aboundant life )..
you don't know what Christ did for you when he resurrected.

Your notion is not what the scripture says. Heaven is definitely in the future and that is why after every sermon the pastor Oyedepo you quoted would ask questions like this: if you know that if the trumpet should sound now you would not make heaven please come out now and accept Christ as your personal Saviour and repent, confess your sin and ask for forgiveness.

The question are you saved means if the trumpet sounds now would you make heaven? If heaven is on earth already then there would be no need for the scripture to talk about the second coming of Christ and there would be no need for repentance and forgiveness of sin and there would be no need for judgement day.
you see, this is one of the reason i came up with this tread.
how can man see in the scripture heaven on earth (for him to come up with this theme, that means he must have seen something like this in the Scripture ) at the same time begin to ask church members questions like if you want to make heaven in the future when the trumpet shall sound?( making heaven on earth null and void )
is that not contradiction?
it's true that the Scripture talked about the coming of Christ, But like i said Christ has been coming to judge men everyday.
people die everyday, it is appointed once for men to die, after that judgement.
as for sound of the trumpet, quote the place out in the Scripture let's see.
i am not saying there is no sound of the trumpet in the Scripture,
just show were it is written.

Yea, right!

Philippians 2.12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Now who's the ignorant one?
read the whole philppians 2, the whole chapter again and get the understanding.
for instance, if you look at the preceding verse which is verse 11.
Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
so,work out your salvation simply means to hold your believe in Christ strong, that he is lord to the glory of the father, so that nobody will deceive you that Jesus is not lord,
that is the only way you will remain saved.
because, at that time they had issues among the brethren that makes them complain, issues that was capable to make some of the brethren disbelieve
and also, because the jews went among the brethren to deceive them that Jesus is not the Messiah.
the is why Paul told them, work out your salvation..
Paul is not a mad person to say in verse 11, that everything tongue should confess that Jesus is lord, then the next chapter in 12, he begin to say go and work so that you will be saved( assuming this is what he meant )
then, the next chapter 13, without telling them what they should work, he begin to say something like
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
it doesn't sound a sensible speech.

@Emboldened, Bible said God's words are unchangeable.(Psalm 199: 89). I wonder when it started changing.
Meanwhile, when you make a statement, support it biblically.

What's more fanatical than you teaching heresy that only believing is enough to take christians to heaven, therefore encouraging people to continue stealing, murdering(you are no different from Islamic extremists angry), arm-robbering, back-biting etc, with the hope they would make heaven after death.

I have a feeling you are wallowing in a chronic sin, but it's none of my business...

Enjoy yourself!
the African doctrines the missionaries brought need changes, it wasnt based on reasoning, therefore it need change or africans remain in perpetual bondage.
what africans refuses to see is
john6:29, Jesus answered and said unto
them, This is the work of God(the
definite article there is THE WORK,
that means, there is only one work to
do ), that ye believe on him whom he
hath sent.(that's all ).
so, all we need to do is believe only.
go back to your Bible and look at it again.
Paul confirmed this in
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds(works ) of the law.
the law is the 10 commandments, thou shall not kill, thou shall not lie etc
and James says if you break one of these laws you have break it all.
so, there is no way we can be righteous on our own, don't try to be fanatic.
for this reason Christ came to die so that we can be freely justified.
you are telling me i am saying heresy.
this is the same thing Paul said and the they slanderlously say he was saying heresy, teaching people to go and commit sin , just like you doing now to me.
Romans 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
please we are not encouraging people to break the law and commit sin.
we are saying that, now that you know you are freely justified, use your conscience to abstain from sin.
don't wait for any law to guide you.
if we go and commit sin, then we will suffer the consequence like anyone else here on earth.
faith without work is dead (dead in that we will suffer the consequence of our sin, not that we will loose our salvation which was given to us freely ),
God is not human that will give gift to people and later take it back from them.
it takes logical reasoning to understand this thing

ye that work iniquity.'
24. "Therefore whosoever heareth
these Sayings of mine, and doeth them,
I will liken him unto a Wise Man,
which built his House upon a Rock:
25. "And the rain descended, and the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat upon that House;
and it Fell not: for it was founded upon a Rock.
26. "And every one that heareth
these Sayings of mine, and doeth them not,
shall be likened unto a Foolish Man,
which built his house upon the Sand:
27. "And the rain descended, and the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat upon that House;
and it Fell: and Great was The Fall of it."
28. And it came to pass,
when Jesus had ended these Sayings,
the People were astonished at his Doctrine:
29. For he Taught them as One having Authority,
and not as the scribes.

SOME people think that they are Christians, but they are wrong.

Jesus gave us clear guidelines, so that we may see for ourselves, what the standards are.

Are you blind, then?
he made all these statement before he was crucified, we are updated with standards after the resurrection which is grace.
Jesus is not a fanatic, Jesus teaches love and love people.
fanatics hate people in disguise of religion

myproperty:
By believing in Christ alone does not mean you are save.

Matthew 7:20-23King James Version (KJV)

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You are not in heaven, because you are not yet judged.

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done

Matthew 25:32
All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

2 corinthians5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad
all these Matthew you quoted are statements made by Jesus before he was crucified.
there is time for everything.
there was time or era before Christ resurrected (judaism) and there is era after the resurrection where we christians belong.
these two era are not the same.
so, bible is a book of two different religions.
not everyone That called him lord lord means, not all Jesus disciples will see the kingdom of God which is Christianity .because the disciples called him lord lord.
judas Iscariot didn't see it, John the Baptist didn't see it, infact only 120 disciples out of 5000 who eat 5 loaves and fishes saw it.
act 1:15
But all christians are now in Christianity or the kingdom,.far better than disciples because of his crucifixion.
So he wasn't talking to christians when he made that statement.
he was talking to his disciples , infact, there was no Christianity then. Christ has not yet been crucified.
Jesus even told his disciples in
Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
that is, strive to hold your believe in me until it is time for me to be crucified and resurrected.
13:25 says When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
so, the time before resurrection is without (outside ) while the time after resurrection is within (inside ).
Matthew 25:32. The separation is between Christianity and other religion. it is done already.
2 cor 5:10, we are always judged at our death. all christians back to life, non Christians to lake of fire, see revelation.
it is appointed for men to die, after that, judgment.

Isn't it obvious the jews are messing with y'all? They are the special people, the only ones whose salvation is guaranteed, the best and loved tribe, the 144,000 that doesn't even need to accept christ for them to be saved while y'all are asked to workout your own salvation with fear and trembling?

Ignorance is bliss indeed!
they are Jews in Christianity, not Jews in Judaism.
Christians didn't work to get their salvation. those that are working are ignorant.
they don't know they have it already

Stop twisting bible to suit your heresy - Jesus was talking about baptism being prerequisite for making heaven not the sole requirement.

I laughed when you cited a dictionary to define your meaning of a believer when Bible and Dictionary aren't the same.

Anyways, this another plain bible verse because you have been twisting your own to suit you....

Matthew 7:21

Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father.
baptism or believe,, it's still the same thing.
mention one place in the bible that define unbelievers as people who commit sin.?
on the contrary, Jesus says in.
John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep
let me explain this parable,
before Jesus was crucified he was the door or the way and his disciples were the sheepfold.
becausse the jews believed that judaism is the only religion men can go to God..
But Jesus told them,i am the way,not Judaism.
After he resurrected he founded Christianity.
and Judaism and it's old covenant was rejected.
to climb up some other way is trying to by pass Christianity to God through judaism and other religion.
By so doing, his religion is a thief.
Therefore, Christianity is now the door or the only way to God and we christians are the sheepfold.
so, everybody in Christianity are saved.
everybody in Christianity are believers
dictionary meaning correspond to this bible view.

see boko haram now, very fanatic fundamental entity.
please, what is the cause of fanatism in religion?
it's a big problem
ahahaaahaaaa.
lol.
you don come again.
the cause is misinterpretations, of the quran and bible.
you see, what is happening in Islam is also happening in Christianity.
the good thing is that, christians don't use their own to kill people

hmmm!
ok, why did Jesus used the phrase IN THOSE DAYS ?
For example, in matt. 24:22 And except those days should be shortened,....
And also in
Matt. 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
don't you think that he used THOSE DAYS because these things is going to happen in the future?
you ask very intelligent question,
i like you.
see, that very day Jesus was prophesying.
what he was saying was a prophesy that was already written about him and what will happen during the period when the Messiah will be crucified.
the prophesy must have said, this is what will happen IN THOSE DAYS when the Messiah will come.
as Jesus was talking, it's like, he was directly quoting the prophesy that IN THOSE DAYS (that is, in this generation ) And the people of that generation were listening, they didn't know that he was that Messiah that is to come.
so, he was prophesying what will happen, meanwhile, the fulfilment of the prophesy was happening right there in their eyes, they didn't know.
apart from the persecution of christians which happened after the resurrection,
all the rumors of wars, earthquake, deceptions, crucifixion, great tribulation, one taken, the other left behind ( what is confusing modern day christians that they are saying it is rapture) was happening right there in that generation Christ came to die.
after telling them everything, he said.
Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
so, everything happened in that generation. not in the future.
it was after the resurrection that Christ open their eyes to see all these things, that it just happened.

I have provided a biblical proof for mine. Provide yours cry
John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God(the definite article there is THE WORK, that means, there is only one work to do ), that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.(that's all )
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
so, your only duty as christian is to believe in Jesus which you have already done when you were brought up from a Christian home , that's all.
every other additional thing you do is religious fanatism

Before I take your rants serious, provide a biblical verse that says "believing only" is enough to take us to heaven. All you are doing here, is ranting off point.

You didn't even counter my point that says lust is a sin that leads to hell fire.

Devil believed in God but just an evil thought from his heart, was enough to send him to hell fire. Why didn't God forgive him?

Jesus came to die for our original sin which was an obstacle hindering us from speaking with God directly. Smh
whether you take me seriously or not, it doesn't change the truth.
it is everywhere in the new testament.
what i am talking about is grace, the truth is, we are all saved by grace, and not by works.
the book of Romans has plenty to confirm this.
Grace is, just believe, thats all.
if you work, you are just cheating yourself.

lol. Right now, satan is the ruler of this world
it depend on what you mean.
if you mean that the world is bad right now, then you are correct.
But things will not continue like that, gradually people are getting knowledge and understanding. thousands of years from now, the world will become a better place.
we will all see it like that, all christians.
do you know that we will never die?
lol

i don't understand something.
what is the great tribulation?
the great tribulation is what i just explained. the disciples following Christ.
the tribulation was the journey from
Galilee to Jerusalem the disciples went through
by following Jesus. they abandoned all that
they had (peter says we have left all and follow
thee) and went through the harsh condition of
the wilderness. the bible desribed that event as
the worst in the history of mankind Matthew
24:21.
immediately after the great tribulation, Christ was crucidied.
this is what happened during the crucifixion, check your Bible and confirm this.
then,immediately after that tribulation matt
24:29 says SHALL THE SUN BE DARKENED,the
moon shall not give her light, the stars shall
fall from heaven (all these point to one thing
that THERE WILL BE DARKNESS)
Luke 23:44 confirmed this when Christ was crucified .
And it was about the sixth hour(6am early in
the mourning ), and there was a DARKNESS
over all the earth until the ninth hour.(9am in
the morning )
also, earthquake was mentioned.
AND THE POWERS OF THE HEAVENS
SHALL BE SHAKENED (this signifies
EARTHQUAKE )
and truly, there was earthquake when Christ was crucified.
Matthew 27:51.confirmed this.
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in
twain from the top to the bottom; AND THE
EARTH DID QUAKE , and the rocks rent
all these things happened after the disciples followed Jesus on a long journey to Jerusalem. that journey is the great tribulation.
