that was never a foul.

Football is a contact sport. Nudging a defender to get shooting space is perfectly legal.
I thought I saw Morata pulling the D out of the way?

But, on viewing the replay, it looks like Morata fouled the Newcastle defender. We’re lucky that there isn’t VAR yet in the Premier League.

Wicked assist from Moses. At this rate, Morata will hit 20+ goals this season.

I can’t see a justification for keeping your salary secret from your spouse. Both of you are supposed to be one, so a wife should know what her hubby earns, and vice versa.

#101. Nigeria are the only African team to have won a World Cup group. The Super Eagles achieved this feat in both 1994 and 1998.

#102. Nigeria has advanced to the World Cup knockout stages more times than any other African team. The Super Eagles advanced to the round of 16 in 1994, 1998, and 2014.

We had some reasonable goal keepers and very competent players back then.

Peter Rufai, Abiodun Baruwa, Jose Dosu Shorunmu and co are like Peter Schemichel compared to what he have in goal today
We will most likely have the 19-year old Uzoho in goal, if Enyeama doesn’t return to the side.
Uzoho ain’t bad though. He showed sharp reflexes in the Argentina friendly.

O boy, how will the Super Eagles midfield cope with Rakitic and Modric in the middle of the Park. Of course, with those two guys in Croatia’s midfield, they will have a greater share of possession.

To me, the midfield battle between Mikel, Ndidi and Rakitic, and Modric will determine who wins the game.

Op You forgot to add OBJ to your list. That fellow remains the BEST running mate for Atiku,I assure you. They only just have to beg him to come out of his self-imposed political hibernation. But if Atiku can't get OBJ,he should just try and approach Shekau, that guy sure has clout. Convince him that democrazy isn't such a terrible idea and see every thing fall into place. My 5 quid.

That is if our people patronize the airport as they have snubbed enugu airport
Funny enough many people in SE and Igbos in diaspora are still unaware that international travels take place originating from Enugu or ending in Enugu. Many SE based business people still take the risk of carrying money to Lagos when flying to China instead of using the nearer Enugu international airport.

Our diaspora Igbos are even more hilarious. I have seen too many people using Ethiopian airline from Europe or America fly to Abuja or Lagos. Then board overnight bus with their families to travel to Enugu or somewhere in the SE. grin grin grin imagine the risk they expose those children to with very long road travels. Apart from robbery and bad roads; most of them experience untold abuse when their vehicles break down in the middle of nowhere. Then they make vlogs complaining about rough roads, police harrassment at checkpoints and other funny troubles they brought on themselves for lack of knowledge. grin

Some of our people are so outdated with developments in Nigeria that its not even funny.
Lol

In addition to your reasons, I also think that ticket prices are another reason why most Igbo diasporas prefer flying to Lagos or Abuja.

The relatively expensive ticket to Enugu may be due to the fact that the airport still lacks some critical safety infrastructure. Hence, Ethiopian Airlines would want to guarantee that they have enough money in the bank in the event of something terrible happening to their aircraft.
PoliticsRe: 2019: Atiku's Potential Running-mates? by PDPGuy(op): 9:26am On Nov 29, 2017
From my list, the "non politicians" are clearly Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Bianca Ojukwu, and Oseloka Obaze. These people are mostly known for their exploits outside politics as either technocrats or diplomats (in the case of Ojukwu).

Picking one of these individuals may be the safe choice for Atiku because it is most likely that none of them would be ambitious enough to aim for the control of the party structure, much like Atiku was in control of PDP from 1999-2003.
Politics2019: Atiku's Potential Running-mates? by PDPGuy(op): 9:18am On Nov 29, 2017
Following the latest news that former vice-president Atiku Abubakar has decamped to the PDP from the APC, rumors are making the rounds that he is interested in running for president in 2019.

So, if Atiku eventually runs for the highest office in the land, who are the men of timbre and caliber that would make a potential vice-presidential short list?

For me, folks like Chukwuma Soludo, Peter Obi, Rep. Nkiru Onyejeocha, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Oseloka Obaze, and Bianca Ojukwu, have the necessary gravitas and public sector experience to be Atiku's running mate.
Foreign AffairsU.S. Senators Introduce Revenge Porn Bill by PDPGuy(op): 4:40am On Nov 29, 2017
Senators Kamala D. Harris (D-CA), Richard Burr (R-NC) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), as well as Rep. Jackie Speier introduced a bill today to address revenge porn. The bill, Ending Non-consenual Online User Graphic Harassment (ENOUGH) Act of 2017, is designed to address the unwanted sharing of private, explicit images.

The ENOUGH Act would specifically ensure the Department of Justice has tools in place to address revenge porn, and establish federal criminal liability for those who share revenge porn and other consensual images. In order to prosecute someone under the ENOUGH Act, there would need to be proof that the person knew the victim expected the image to remain private, and that sharing the image would harm the victim.

“A prosecution would also have to prove that no reasonable person would consider the shared image to touch on a matter of public concern,” the release states.

This bill comes after Rep. Speier introduced a version of the bill, the intimate Privacy Protection Act of 2016, in the 114th Congress. The bill, however, only made it to the House of Representatives.

“Perpetrators of exploitation who seek to humiliate and shame their victims must be held accountable,” Senator Harris said in a press release. “It is long past time for the federal government to take action to give law enforcement the tools they need to crack down on these crimes.”

The bill, which has bi-partisan support, also has support from tech companies like Twitter and Facebook. In the last year, Facebook and Twitter have made some efforts to crack down on revenge porn. In April, Facebook implemented a photo-matching technology to ensure people can re-share images previously reported and tagged as revenge porn. Last month, Twitter updated its policy to state that no one can post or share “intimate photos or videos” of someone without their consent.

Revenge porn is a widespread issue on the internet, with one in 25 people in the U.S. being victims of non-consensual image sharing, according to a 2016 report from the Data & Society Research Institute and the Center for Innovative Public Health Research. Of those affected by the sharing of consensual intimate images, 93 percent of people report “significant emotional distress” and 82 percent report significant difficulties in other aspects of their lives, according to the US Victims of Non-Consensual Intimate Images.

“For victims of non-consensual pornography, technology today makes it possible to destroy a person’s life with the click of a button or a tap on a cell phone,” Congressperson Speier said in a statement. “The damage caused by these attacks can crush careers, tear apart families, and, in the worst cases, has led to suicide. What makes these acts even more despicable is that many predators have gleefully acknowledged that the vast majority of their victims have no way to fight back. Even in states that have laws on the books, the average person can’t afford to take on these predators in civil courts. Worse are the numerous victims who have mustered the courage and strength to pursue criminal charges, only to learn there is no law that protects them. The ENOUGH Act will fix this gaping hole in our legal system.”

Not really, but if the prosecution cannot prove the offence beyond reasonable doubt, the court cannot punish the accused with the maximum penalty. So long as a little doubt was created, it works to the advantage of the accused person.
And the judge may have taken into account some mitigating factors whilst preparing the verdict. It may have been her first felonious offense.

Injustics everywhere

How can this be called mansluaghter - seven years for killing a full flaged human being?

Injustice to the highest order
It is manslaughter because the killing was likely done in “the heat of passion” i.e. she had sufficient provocation to commit the act, and there was no premeditation on her part.

For instance, if she found her husband in bed with another woman, and she got so enraged that she attacked him with a knife which led to his death, a prosecutor would interprete her act as that of manslaughter rather than murder.

Essentially, murder requires premeditation, while manslaughter does not.
