It’s ambitious because the cost of flight tickets (business class/premium economy), and hotel lodging for the visiting teams would amount to no less than N80 million.

However, as the NFF will receive $1 million and $500,000 from FIFA and CAF respectively for WC preparation, hosting the 3 matches wouldn’t be a big financial burden to them.

For me, Bianca Ojukwu, Chukwuma Soludo, and Peter Obi are easily the most sellable persons from the SE.

Bianca and Soludo would be the ‘safest’ choices because although they are both technocrats, they also do not have a cult of political followeship or a huge political machinery that could challenge a President Atiku.

Bianca is a lawyer and has a Masters degree in International Relations. She also served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain for three years, from 2012-2015. She definitely has the requisite intellectual capacity and executive/foreign policy experience to be part of the PDP’s presidential ticket.

Peter Obi and Soludo will be long shots due to their charisma and political machine in Anambra. As the history of Nigerian politics has shown, with the exception of OBJ, the running mate has always been someone who is quiet and unassuming eg GEJ, Osinbajo, Ekwueme etc.

Then, if Atiku decides to serve only one term, Bianca owould be in a great position to run for the presidency in 2023.

The fact remains that the political elites have NEVER been comfortable with and around PMB.

The good thing is the president has more than enough support in the common man on the street. His records speak for themselves and not even hundreds of Saraki, Amaechi and Gojes can defeat PMB in any free and fair election. A couple with two kids bringing in a combine salary of $200,000 is just average if you want to truly live the american dream. Taking care of a child will cost between $12,000 to $14,000 annually and that is just for one kid. Below is a link so you understand what is going on in the US. Sorry man. In 2017 earning $100,000 is nothing in most places in America. After tax you will be left with just $68,000 to spend for the year. What is the average rent for a two bedroom in a place where upper class earner are supposed to live (Boston, Chicago, New York city, California etc)? That alone will cost you over $20,000- $28,000 on rent alone.

Sir, you’ve got it wrong.

A single person earning $100k/year, before (and after) taxes, lives a comfortable life anywhere in the US. Even a family of 3 can survive on that amount.

Also, some states like Florida and Texas have no state income taxes, so people get to keep even more of their money.

A household of 4 (parents with two dependents) will have a lower tax rate than a single person with no dependents. For eg the tax bill for the family of 4 earning a gross income of $100k would be around $20-25k; while the single person may have the $35k tax bill.

So, several factors determine whether a gross income of $100k would be adequate for anyone.
