It's official now that Florida will have a recount on the Senate, Governorship and Agricultural Commisioner's elections because they are too close and several outstanding mail ballots still to be counted. I noticed the GOP lost quite a lot of states. What happened? Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin.Illinois, Maine I think the Dems have a lot to smile about thus far.

It could be because voters in those states trusted Trump to bring back the lost jobs and grow the economy. But they were disgusted to see that 83% of the gains of the Republican tax-cut law benefited the top 1% of income earners.

Stacey Abrams still has the faintest of hopes in forcing a recount if the remaining uncounted ballots (in the big metro areas) keep Brian Kemp under 50%.

But it baffles me that the person in charge of an election is also a contestant. Just like an INEC REC also being a governorship contestant in Nigeria. It’s the most blatant conflict interest I’ve ever seen in politics.

The House doesn’t need the Senate’s ‘permission’ to release any findings. For instance, the House leadership could ask Mueller and the DOJ to submit his report to them.

Moreover, a Democratic House means that there will be no funding of Trump’s borderwall, because both the House and Senate have to concur before any budgetary item is passed by Congress.

The Democratic House will launch a tsunami of investigations on the Trump administration, beginning from January. So, I’ll advice Trump to hire more lawyers in the White House Counsel’s office to handle the expected requests of docs from the Democrats

I still live in the SD area. The county is part of two different Congressional districts - the 49th and 50th.
My area of the county falls under the 50th.

Yes, we count slowly in California. In fact, the results may not be certified, in many CA races, till 3 weeks after Election Day.

In a vote-counting center in Santa Ana, Orange County, they’ve already proceed 700,000 mailed ballots. To put int into perspective, the same center processed around 1,000,000 mailed ballots 2 years ago. So, the excitement in this year’s midterms is super high!

There are four Congressional seats, here, being held by Republicans that could flip to Dems. In my district - the 50th - the incumbent Republican rep Duncan Hunter, is in a toss-up contest with the Dem challenger, Campar Najjar.

The district is usually a reliably Republican one, but Hunter’s multiple indictment’s by the federal DOJ for campaign-finance violations, and anti-Trump sentiment, has made this district surprisingly competitive.

If Brian Kemp pulls of a majority in Georgia, his win will, in no small part, be due to his voter suppression policies there. A 10k or more vote margin could put either candidate over the 50% threshold required to be declared the winner.

The polls also showed Trump losing the 2016 polls. Even in this elections circle, they have been misfiring badly. Andrew Gillum will never have been the democratic party candidate in Florida if the polls were to be believed, they gave him no chance. In fact, they had him winning only 16% of the support in the primaries. Yet miraculously , he is the candidate of the party. Don't put too much hope on polls, they can be disappointing. The only polls that matter will be held on Tuesday and I assure you, it's gonna be very interesting
