In some other jurisdictions, even if a woman initially gives consent to a guy to have sexual intercourse with her, she can "withdraw" the consent at any time during the said intercourse. For instance, if a guy had intercourse with a woman for 10 minutes, and she withdrew her consent after the first 4 minutes of sex, the man could be liable of rape in that jurisdiction. I know, it sounds weird. |
Zoharariel: ![]() I always suspected that her OAP gig (and the book sales) cannot afford the multiple Emirates business class trips she undertakes. So, it has been a sugar daddy who has been sponsoring her all along. Who knew? ![]() By no means is Toke the only female OAP that has a sugar daddy. Many of them on IG are nothing more than glorified escorts. |
BlowJobs:I use YouTube TV for my favorite sports channels, and I also intermittently subscribe to Sling TV. I can watch my UCL, premier league, FA cup and Bundesliga games, movie channels, CNN, BBC on YouTube TV, all for $35/month. It’s definitely a great deal. |
Would love to fly on this aircraft one day |
The blogger obviously doesn’t know the difference between a bikini and a one-piece swimsuit. Our Naija sister is wearing a one-piece. |
‘It really is very very quiet – both inside and outside,’ says British Airways captain Claire Bunton. The 48-year-old has been flying the A380 for two years now and has kindly agreed to tell MailOnline Travel just what it's like to be in control of one. And it turns out that the low levels of noise it makes is one of the most surprising aspects of flying it. That and the handling. And its 'funky' tech. ‘It is truly remarkable that 560 tonnes flies so beautifully,’ she says. ‘It’s very responsive and handles extremely well.’ Remarkable indeed, since the A380’s sheer size is utterly staggering. It has wings that at 2,775 sq ft are 54 per cent bigger than those of a Boeing 747, four Rolls-Royce engines that are the size of a Mercedes C-series and enough storage space to transport 469 passengers, in a BA configuration. It’s so big that only around 20 runways in the world can handle it. But its enormousness comes in handy for battling turbulence. Bunton, who used to be a professional kitesurfer, says that a 500-plus-tonne cruise weight, coupled with great wing design and sophisticated controls ‘results in a very comfortable ride and the aircraft performing well in turbulence’. It’s good during crosswind landings, too, apparently. ‘In crosswinds it’s very responsive and handles extremely well,’ says Bunton, who lives on the UK south coast and in Cape Town in the winter. ‘In a cross-wind an aircraft will track down the approach centre line lined-up with the runway. We point the aircraft into wind to offset the crosswind and to keep tracking the runway centre line. We call this "crabbed". On the A380 we flare [bring the nose up gently] for touchdown at approximately 40ft. Just before touchdown we gently apply some rudder with our feet to align the aircraft with the runway at just the right point… Yes, all this at 170mph!’ Landings can be aided by a very clever system called a BTV, which applies just the right amount of braking force for a pre-set runway exit. Bunton explains: ‘The A380 has many funky bits of kit on it, including a BTV or Brake To Vacate option. This allows us to select the runway exit before landing, so instead of using a set auto-brake figure, or our foot brakes, the aircraft will apply the efficient carbon brakes at exactly the correct moment to ensure we vacate the runway as quickly as possible using minimum braking. It's brilliant!’ So that the operating pilots are fresh for the landing on ultra-long-haul flights, the flight crew will be bolstered by an extra pilot. There is also a hidden sleeping area, but it’s not the ideal place to be in turbulence. Bunton says: ‘We have a plush pilot bunk area. To save space the bunks are positioned laterally across the aircraft. In turbulence the rocking of the aircraft is not so comfortable if you’re lying laterally.’ Safety is obviously a priority for any British Airways flight – and to make sure that A380 pilots are in total control, they go through very rigorous training. Bunton has previously flown 747s and 777s for BA in a career that began in 1990, but still had 14 weeks of training for the A380. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-5114605/BA-captain-reveals-like-fly-A380.html

In general terms, that guy clearly raped that girl, no two ways about it. But legally speaking, his actions weren't technically rape according to Nigerian laws because there was no penile penetration of her vagina. However, she shouldn't have spent the night, AND laid in the SAME bed with a guy who is not her boyfriend/husband. I mean what on Earth moved her to do such a thing?? Would she have been cool with her bf passing the night at a random lady's place and sleeping on the same bed with the lady? I'm sure her answer would have been NO. If she wanted to meet him so badly, they could have suggested a neutral place, say a restaurant, or even the beach, during the day time since he lives on the Island. That way, she would have gone back to her place by night time. I hope she and her friends learned from her ordeal, and act wisely next time. |
Sometimes, I still can’t believe Trump is my president. Cannot wait till 2020 before this clown is booted from office Even Senator Kamala Harris, the junior senator from California, will have more grace and dignity than President tiny hands. |
^^ That airport may become less viable whenever Anambra’s airport city gets going. And if the FG continues to neglect the AIIA, and allows facilities there to rot, the likes of Ethiopian (or even Emirates) may decide to move their SE operations to Umueri |
Atiku/Soludo or Dankwambo/Soludo will give APC a tough time in 2019. |
THE National Assembly has transmitted copies of proposed amendments of the 1999 Constitution to State Houses of Assembly for concurrence, it was learnt yesterday. Findings showed that the transmission of clean copies of the suggested constitution amendments was concluded on Monday. A source close to the Office of the Senate President said the transmission of copies of the amendment took some time because of “cleaning up of the copies to ensure that what you have in the Senate is also what you have from the House of Representatives”. The source said state assemblies are expected to turn in their resolutions to the National Assembly in the first quarter of 2018 for further legislative work before transmitting same to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent. Findings showed that state assemblies have been fully sensitised to appreciate the issues at stake and the thinking of Nigerians on all issues slated for amendment. Much energy has been devoted to the constitution amendment proposals, which did not scale through the hurdle of the National Assembly. Talks and comments have comprehensibly centered on such areas as the failure of the National Assembly to approve devolution of powers to states, removal of the Land Use Act from the Constitution and 35 per cent affirmative action for women. The consensus is that the failure of the National Assembly to pass some critical proposals amounted to gross “insensitivity to the aspiration of greater number of Nigerians”. In all, the National Assembly constitution review committee formulated 33 bills, 29 passed while four were rejected. The four rejected critical proposals included devolution of powers to states, deletion of Land Use Act from the constitution, state creation and boundary adjustment and 35 per cent affirmative action for women. http://thenationonlineng.net/national-assembly-transmits-constitution-amendment-copies-state-assemblies/ |

safarigirl: at “punishment for winning Argentina in a friendly”. |
imhotep:Lol It has nothing to do with tribe. Airports all over the world allow vehicles to be parked right beside the terminal for quick drop-offs and/or pick-ups of passengers. As others have said, parking structures are only for long term parking i.e. parking for like an hour or more. In that case, the airport authorities will be justified in diverting vehicles to the parking structure. |
There is disorder at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, as passengers are being compelled by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to use a new multi-story parking garage commissioned by Seymour Aviation Limited, a company believed to be owned by former aviation minister Stella Oduah. SaharaReporters observed that motorists are now barred from picking up their family members close to the terminal and are compulsorily diverted to the new car park once they drive close to the terminal. The motorists are then forced to pay for parking their vehicles at the park even if they were to spend just a minute within the airport premises. Drivers are charged N400 for the first hour and N100 for each additional hour spent at the parking garage. The sum is apart from the N200 and N300 tollgate fee for cars and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs), respectively, that motorists must pay once they access the airport through the tollgate. In a bid to ensure total compliance with the draconian order, the FAAN has detailed policemen and towing vehicles in strategic locations to arrest anyone who violates the new policy. The FAAN has also barricaded the road leading to the terminal from the arrival areas, which has made vehicular assessment to the terminal impossible. The car park, which is controlled by Seymour Aviation as a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) scheme, is under concession for 30 years before being handed over to the FAAN by the company. A source close to the company confided in our correspondent that the operators, who are believed to be cronies of Mrs. Oduah, claimed to spend about N8 billion for the construction of the facility. Our correspondent observed that some passengers with health challenges, aging travelers and those with children walked the distance to the car park before they could board any cab of their choice. A source close to the FAAN told our correspondent that the policy was already affecting the financial status of the FAAN, as all other car parks within the international airport area were shut for the new car park to continue to reap huge profits at the expense of the authority. Before the closure, there were no fewer than five other car parks in different locations within the airport premises. The FAAN is believed to be earning at least N2 billion from car parks alone monthly, but with the new order, such funds will now go to Mrs. Oduah’s company. One of the passengers with a baby strapped to her chest, who identified herself simply as Florence, decried the sordid situation in an interaction with our correspondent. Florence lamented that every passenger is now forced to use the car park ostensibly in order to rake in funds for Mrs. Oduah’s company, stressing that at every airport across the world, motorists are given a few minutes to pick up their passengers and leave immediately. She cited the example of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos, where the authority allows motorists to either pick up or drop off their passengers within a few minutes without charge. Florence wondered why the reverse was the case with the FAAN at the international terminal. “Since we all know that aviation is internationally regulated, I think the same standards should apply to all. Why will FAAN compulsorily divert every vehicle to the new terminal when they can easily pick up their family members or passengers within a few seconds at the arrival lounge? That’s the practice everywhere, even in high-security prone countries,” Florence said. “Even in America, which prides security as its number one priority, and Heathrow Airport in London, passengers whose family members have come to pick them up are allowed. I don’t know why FAAN is insisting on this backward policy for everyone.” Mrs. Oduah, as the former minister in the sector, had been sacked under controversial circumstances when it was discovered that she acquired two BMW cars at hyper-inflated rates of N355 million, among several other financial diversions within her 31-month tenure. It would be recalled that the multi-story parking garage was commissioned on October 4, 2017. Both the FAAN and Seymour Aviation Limited have had said that the opening of the car park would further ease traffic congestion at the airport. The two organizations said that the facility, a six-story building, has the capacity to accommodate 1,300 cars making it the biggest in the industry. Saleh Dunoma, the Managing Director of FAAN, who was represented at the occasion by Salisu Daura, Director of Engineering Services, said that pick ups and drop offs of all passengers within the area would be moved to the new facility. “FAAN has put in place measures to maintain the facility. Everyone, including passengers, must cooperate with us to make things work,” he said. Francis Ikenga, the Managing Director, Seymour Aviation Limited, said that the facility was built to international standards with a waiting lounge, bomb detectors, a public address system and conveniences on each of the six floors. http://saharareporters.com/2017/10/30/lagos-airport-passengers-compelled-use-stella-oduah%E2%80%99s-multi-story-parking-garage |
La Liga plans to introduce video assistant referees (VAR) next season, the league's president Javier Tebas said on Tuesday. Spain's top flight is the only one of Europe's top five leagues which has so far shunned the use of goal-line technology, much to the frustration of the teams. While the only use of goalline technology is to determine whether the ball has completely crossed the goalline, VAR can be used to determine goals, red cards, penalties as well as cases of mistaken identity. Last season Barcelona were not awarded a goal despite television replays showing the ball had crossed the line during a 1-1 draw with Real Betis. "Next season there will be VAR in La Liga, without a doubt," Tebas said at a news conference in Madrid on Tuesday. "We are making lots of progress in meetings about it right now and it will be ready very soon." https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/sports/soccer-la-liga-to-introduce-var-next-season-tebas/articleshow/61648023.cms |

My dream draw would be: Russia, Peru, Iran, Nigeria. In this group, the Super Eagles will have a 50-50 chance of even winning the group. BTW, the draw ceremony starts at 4pm Nigeria time. |
cococandy:Hi nne. Kedu? |
Humility017:It’s what you get in a society that largely discourages women from having big ambitions. A society that constantly lets women know that they will always be regarded as inferior to men. I mean, why would a so-called medical doctor be asking for recharge card? Isn’t that foolishness? For me, I have too much dignity to engage in open, shameless begging. I’d rather ask family for help than contact random people for that purpose. |
pocohantas:Heck no. The maid looks 12 or 13. |
I completely agree with Joro’s list. |
Ogbuefi20:FYI, solar panels also work when it’s raining. And the elections have been scheduled for February 2019, outside the rainy season. |
seunmsg:Which Buhari will walk over Atiku? Is it the Buhari who has plunged the economy into hyper inflation, resulting in mass penury amongst the populace? This must be a big joke. Yes, Atiku is shady; so also is Buhari. But Atiku is miles ahead of Buhari when it comes to temperament and governing ideas. |
Happy Thanksgiving from my side to yours
