Please how did they reply you after submitting webform? Personal email addressed to you? yungdril: Gurus in the house, please I need some advice. I applied June 10th submitted with upfront medical and police certificate. Eligibility and background check still been reviewed.i have sent a web form to verify IRCC has received medical from Qlife and was replied that they received it and application is still in progress.i’ve recently sent a second web form to let them know school is resuming soon. Question: should I apply for GCMS note now since application has been about 10weeks or I should still exercise patience and expect a reply from the web form? Thanks for the expected reply |

I dunno what the recent development will be but those were the items I went with and was required of me, and i was gladi went with multiple copiea of coloured photocopy of International passport + booking letter. The only difference between my answer and ur list is the quoted amount for photocopying over there, and I'm sure u remember that this is Nigeria.. PS - when I'm guessing, i make it obvious but when I'm sure, my answers show same as well Lekiboboe: Really!!! Charge Someone for 1K Proof of Payment
Is this a new development or that's how its bin done in the past?
I thought Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) is enough proof that an Applicant has paid for Biometrics, cos if an Applicant don't pay for Biometrics he/she won't get a BIL
According to the BIL, it says When you present yourself at the biometric collection service point of your choice, you must bring the following: • a copy of this letter (BIL), and • the passport or travel document that you referenced in your application
Also together with the Appointment Letter an Applicant get thru the online Appointment Booking & also sent to his/her e-Mail (Appointment Confirmation Mail) |

Wow.! So if u didn't request for the notes, you wouldn't have known all these? I'm guessing that they're post poning refusals for a set future date.. Pls what was showing on your application before you ordered for the GCMS notes? Was background and eligibility still running at the time? Nwannediutor: Hello guys!
I applied for my Study permit on the 16th of June and didn't get any update on my application until I ordered for my GCMS notes 15 days ago.
I just received the notes now to discover that I FAILED the eligibility review done on the 17th of July, 2020.
Part of the reasons for the denial includes ; no travel history and inadequate funds, weak family ties.
I acknowledge that I do not have any travel history and was single when I did the application (married now though). I will defer my admission and use the next 6 months to get travel experience and increase my POF and then reapply again. Unfortunately, my course can only be started in the fall term, so I will be defering to Fall 2021.
I am pained but not discouraged. We will do this once again.
I am grateful to everyone for the knowledge I have gotten from this forum. |

Wow.. This is going to be hard o.. Requiring registration before complete approval is given.. It doesn't sound like an assumption to me sha. I'm guessing it's a follow up from an agreement.. I wish others will contact their schools like u did so we'll be double sure.. The down side is the fact that your own program can't be online.. I would have suggested you send an email to the VO candidly explaining your situation but maybe u should wait till they ask you for registration Lekiboboe: Would love the house to clarify this
It seems as per travel restrictions, only those who got Approval before March 18th and their program has on-campus learning are allowed to come to Canada presently together with their Travel support letter from the school
I got a mail from my Int'l director as regards resumption for Fall 2020 students that have Paid their tuition,
So one of his paragraph captured my attention
He said:
If you have applied for the Visa and have not received any decision as yet, you need to wait till September 15 for AIP (Stage One Visa Approval) to be issued. If you receive an AIP by September 15, you need to then register immediately and start your program online as we are expecting IRCC to ask you for a proof of registration for September 2020 program before they issue Stage Two Final Visa Approval. If you DO NOT receive any decision by September 15, you need to defer your intake to January 2021.
Though my program is a strictly On-Campus program and has only a FALL Intake.
Does that mean that a proof of registration is a Criteria to get the Stage 2 final VISA approval?
Am also thinking, whether IRCC have told told all schools about the AIP and steps to take as regards that (reason is cos AIP is not assurance of getting approved)
&
He said We are expecting IRCC to ask you for a proof of registration for September 2020 program before they issue State Two Final Visa Approval Cos this seem like an assumption to me (We are EXPECTING)
What's your take on this?
THANKS!!! |

Send an email to confirm this WES evaluation... I'm positive that they waived this requirement for Winter entry because of the pandemic. Ask sha rvpbae: I'm new here but I spent all morning on university of Regina's website.
From the requirement, you need to evaluate your result, it is a mandatory requirement. Some even require you send high school transcript. Also failure to declare post- secondary school education might lead to disqualification. |

I understand you completely but study leave isn't the only reason why you will or not get study permit. Every staff is entitled to Letter of Introduction from his/her employer. You don't have to say it's for immigration. You can just say you need it, with them just stating when you started working with them, renumeration and job role. Someone has confirmed that IRCC called their office to confirm the letter. Who knows the phone number they'll find online and call? I'll advise you avoid any lie that can be counter productive, especially for a document as unimportant as study leave letter. Mind you, the salary must make sense with reasonable number of working years for such letter to even be believed. No need to forge documents, so you can tell God with clean conscience to perfect it for you. Cheers olasubomy: Pee2Jay9: What of in a situation where you dont want your employer to know your plans and getting a letter from them would trigger you want to resign most esp if you dont get the visa and stand the risk of being seen as flight risk in your office so to avoid this the person want to arrange with another company to get a signed letter stating you have been employed in that org and they are sending you for study leave for so and so period and you are expected back to the country on so and so date after your studies, what do you think?
Because, most employers would see you as potential person that would resign soon if ask them for such letter? What do you think? |

Moreover, I sent MyBank ticket so they shouldn't even contact my bank sef.. I shouldn't tie money down because of CIC librangyps: Someone shared a story once that he got a copy of the response mail from his bank to the embassy, although the statement was same dates as what he submitted, but his current balance was also stated.
He was worried cos he already withdrew to purchase forex, all the same he got the visa.

librangyps: There is nothing from IRCC that says that POF will. E rechecked but they said you should ensure that you stay eligible (saw that somewhere)
There's usually a line that shows your current balance when bank respond to inquiry from embassy A line that shows your current balance? That's the bank giving out your details without your consent.. Is this applicable to all banks? |

Welcome to this informative thread. First of all, i don't understand the 'secular' and 'Christian' adjectives, but I'll advise you to check out and confirm that your choice of school is fit for PGWP after studying. Secondly, tell her not to rush.. Take time and read this thread very well.. I don't know how rich she is but there are cheaper schools that she can get into.. Everything you need is here on this thread, including popular schools that others have used to achieve my dream.. All the best to her DrFunmisticGlow: sister is in a dilemma, she has her sights set on furthering her education in canada. She has a Bsc in accounting in a federal university here in nigeria. She has spent sleepless nights researching but has settled at 3 private canadian universities. Please NLanders (especially if you have immigrated to canada) help with wise advise as to which would be a good choice that will also increase her chances of getting a quality education, job prospects and settling there permanently.
Choice A- UCW It's a new private secular university founded in 2005, located in downtown Vancouver. The campus is not big, just a building(looks rented IMO). It has just one masters which is their MBA. IT has a few good and bad reviews but mostly because of their past( it has passed hands a lot like econet/ vmobile/zain/celtel/airtel). It isn't a well known school.
It is located in a big city so cost of living is higher, it is easy to apply to and doesn't have much requirements. She got an accepted into the school already.. The tuition is $35100 Canadian dollars and initial deposit of $8000. Small scholarships are available for students at 10% max. It is also eligibe for graduation work permit and immigration program after. It is the cheapest to apply for out of the three.
Choice 2 -TWU
It's a private christian liberal university located in Langley, BC. Founded in 1962. Has a semi-urban/rural campus. She's applying for their MBA. It has the highest ranking of the 3 but not as much as Ivy league Universities in canada. It is a faith based school (like covenant) and not accepting of LGBTQ+. It is the most expensive of the 3 at $41,000 tuition fees with $10,000 deposit. It isn't as easy to get into as the rest. It has normal to nice reviews online. To apply she needs to write a duolingo English test and a WES report. There's also the application fee which is 44k naira and other documents which will amount to 150k naira. There's also limited scholarships for merit students not to talk of international students.
Choice C CRN A private christian university located in newbronswick. Farther from Alberta than the rest WITH Lower cost of living. Owned by baptists(also faith based). Has on and off campus housing. Has okay reviews and not accepting of LGBTQ+. She's applying for a 2yr master of management course which cost $32000 with initial deposit of $5000. It is also eligible for post graduate work permit and PR. There's also the deadline for provincial nominee (2021/2022) to consider. But she hopes they extend the deadline or renew it. There's no scholarship for international students, although it has the cheapest tuition fees. It also needs a WES report.
Please nairalanders home and abroad, come to our aid once again. Many heads are better than one. |

Chai.. Life isn't supposed to be this hard na JustMellow: Hello Frankrobbn1,
I share from your point analysis but based on our respective anchored viewpoints, we may not think nor agree equally.
My standpoint here is that the eligibility review falls into the FS of AIP. Quickly, this is strictly a supposition base on my opinion and what I understand. What IRCC directly classified under the SS approval for the Final approval to be granted viz. Biometrics, Medicals, PCC. I agree to the fact that other verification like the genuineness of the admission letter is done in the FS AIP.
Meanwhile, there may be rare or few rejections for the FS AIP. If there are rejections in the FS AIP., this may not be the resulting effect of failing R10 Check. It maybe the point in which the VO applied discretion and/or eligibility wasn't passed. IRCC clearly stated that an application won't be rejected based on incomplete document(s) but not directly stated if the right documents were missing. This maybe a ground whereby the VOs may use discretion to issue out rejections in the FS AIP causing eligibility not passed.
With the biometrics after it has been given for the SS AIP., the continuing part of BC to suit the flexible IRCC new rules which is the criminality and medical check will begin. Let's not forget that prior before this time, supplied documents and information verification may be conducted with the limited access to information currently available and may still be open for further intel sharing and verification. As it may have been observed in the erstwhile, the VOs can't be too thorough as security and criminality checks are not too rigorous for SP route but doesn't undermine the fact that it will be checked. Though, this is more beneficiary to applicants without travel experience.
As it stands and based on my little observation, getting refused at the SS of AIP constitute that admissibility wasn't met after the requirements for the SS AIP was found not satisfactory. Another conjectured point on eligibility which supports your points breakdown on the SS AIP is that Eligibility review maybe split between both stages for the FS and SS AIP to be approved before the Final approval. The Final approval in a way intertwine the SS AIP.
The further breakdown of the AIP by IRCC for the Indians on 'Covid-19' visa requirements and instructions are very similar yet slightly different from other regíons in the globe like Nigeria. The VOs handles the current SP applications based on the guidelines of the two-stage approval especially on Eligibility in the FS.
This is a Point of View.
One love bro! |

Thank you for the detailed response.. JustMellow: Hello Pee2Jay9,
Yes it does. Its part of the warning stated in the instruction above the browse column. A single merged and compressed file shouldn't exceed 2MB. For multiple merged and compressed files, 3.5MB is the size limit.
A trick that also work is simultaneously sending any additional supporting document(s) via email to both Nairobi and Lagos IRCC email address, followed with a terse body message. Those who are comfortable in not needing reassurance of certainty can send to just Nairobi. Its very safe.
Its advised to always keep the title of the file(s) to be sent in the applicant's First or Last name followed with the Purpose of the files' title. With the email option, you can always submit additional supporting documents exceedingly above 4MB and/or higher. It will be acknowledged without any consequences.
All the best |

The master's degree I have now is M.eng and it's a terminal degree and I do not mind taking another M.Eng in Canada. Though I have been working since 2012 and I'm 33 don't really know if the work experience takes care of the gap I think you can still get a PhD or a masters after you'll switch to PhD after few semesters. Always email the grad school for probability and seek supervisors, telling them you have masters. U will only hide ur masters from the VO if u eventually still get masters. School is different. YemmyPOG: According to my sis who works in a bank HQ. Banks don't really disclose such information to third parties (Except for financial crimes purpose Sha o). IRCC can only work with whatever they see on your bank statement. I believe the most they can ask banks is to verify if; you are a genuine customer, whether your account is unencumbered by any debt and if you are a sole signatory to your account. Thank you for the detailed explanation |
