Na wa.. Are these people first time applicants? Btw, if someone has previously been refused a visit visa before and is applying for study now, will it be termed re-application? How is it defined? JustMellow: Hello Ckechi,
Thus far, I haven't seen PPR for applicants before July. However, I can confirm of refusals.
Applicant A applied in Nigeria Applied: July 25th, 2020 Background Check: July 25th, 2020 Eligibility Review: Failed on August 4th, 2020 Refusal Letter: August 31st, 2020
Applicant B applied in Ukraine Applied: August 25th, 2020 Background Check and ER: Started almost immediately Refusal letter: August 28th, 2020
I think most people have received a final decision but are yet to communicate it out openly. Also, IRCC are taking their time to communicate their final decision as well.
All the best |

Just one year is stated, but i like to think that they'll want to see how the subsequent years will be settled.. So of u're self sponsored, try to show for the duration and if sponsored by someone, they should know s/he will still be capable.. Cheers Thoyesh: Hello guys, for a masters degree in canada, when applying for a study visa, do we need to show sufficient funds for the entire 2years stay or just the first year alone like its done in the US? Thanks |

Do u think it's progressive? If yes, make the VO see it like u see it.. I'm guessing u know which it is, before u made ur choice. Pls check this school well o, are you sure that u can get PGWP with it? Nastan: Dear good people of Nairaland, please I was offered admission by Cape Breton University into Baccalaureate Diploma Business Analytics, commencing this fall. But I already have Msc in Insurance and Risk Management.
Will the VO see it as progression or regression or should I apply for another Masters program. I am currently working with a financial institution.
Please I need your advise and any useful resources that will be of help. |

Submitting all won't affect ur application negatively so just submit it and explain in ur letter.. Good luck silvamania: Good morning,
Please I want to confirm something . Am about to submit my applications . I have two bank accounts (salary and savings). The savings account has enough funds to cater for my tuition fee, living expenses and I can still take like 3K CAD for flight itineraries while the Salary is just having like 150k inside
Am self sponsored going for a one year MBA
Is it compulsory for me to include the salary or I can just include my payslips and other office documents ?
Please advice . Thank you |

Ah.. This ur school is doing well o.. Congrats teminhi: Thanks. When the admission came through, school reached out to me to meet with their rep in Nigeria to handle my SP application at no cost. They have been handling everything though I still wrote my SOP ( with their guidance) and I provided other supporting documents as required by them most of which are the same with what has been shared here. |

Wow.. Kindly share ur timeline.. So u've not even done biometrics and u've received refusal update.. U see that it's not over until it is? @Nwannediutor, I'll advice u address the concerns raised on ur GCMS with a subtle LOE asap, there's a bigger reason they've not updated u yet.. Good luck Emmyinks: Hi everyone, pls I have a question and am so sorry, my story is long. Gurus in the house, pls help me.
I applied for study permit July 29 and I was denied yesterday. So an agent told me that it was because I have registered for a course in my school and that the school have contacted the embassy to confirm if I have received my visa but since I dont have it, I was denied. The reason why I was told this is because I received a message from my school that goes thus:
Dear Students,
Greetings from UR International!
Our record indicates that you have registered for the Fall 2020 term and have not yet provided us with your immigration documents. Please submit a copy of your valid Passport, Visa (if you are from a visa required country)/Study Permit, Letter of Introduction (if applicable) or Approval-in-principle letter to the UR International Office via email at international.studentservices@uregina.ca .
In order to continue with your Fall 2020 term registration, it is important to submit the aforementioned documents by Friday Wednesday, September 16, 2020 via email.
UR International Student Services is always here to assist and support our students. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at international.studentservices@uregina.ca
If you have already submitted your documents to our office, please disregard this email.
Thank you!
Kind regards, UR International Team!
I was also told that school doesn't request for any immigration documents until you register. Now I'm confuse because I can't see any correlation. My questions are: Does any one who hasn't register for a course receive this type of email or its those that have register for a course that they usually send this type of email too?? Secondly, is it possible to be denied visa just because immigration officers found out that I have registered for a course when my Visa is not yet through?? Are they Woking together?? Thirdly, does been denied a visa means I have to apply again?? Pls is it still possible to get a slot for biometric earlier than 23rd sept?? Its had getting an earlier date.
Thank you so much for reading. |

Oga, pls be calming down.. U can't use just one case to judge.. Moreover, most people are for Winter so i don't think they'll hastily give approvals to those ones when travel plans aren't clear yet At least, u've seen ur notes and confirm that their concerns were in line with ur predictions.. Everyone concerned should order for the notes but while at it, stay hopeful. It's not over until it is Nwannediutor: Good evening guys,
I do not mean to discourage anyone here, but If your eligibility review has been ongoing for weeks and you are yet to receive any update from IRCC, chances are that you have been denied. So far IRCC has not been able to communicate a refusal to all those with pending biometrics ( as at the time of eligibility review).
I applied for study permit on the 17th of June. My eligibility review started on the 17th of July exactly on month later and has been like that up till this moment. However, I applied for my GCMS notes earlier this month and when the notes came in, I discovered that a decision (eligibility review FAILED) was MADE on my application on the 18th of July (a day after eligibility review started.)
BOTTOMLINE: IRCC have only been able to communicate those that scaled through the first stage of review (AIP). Unfortunatlely, those that failed are yet to be communicated. |

But EE immigrants have been travelling to Canada, is it only students that can have corona? Abi covid is not the problem? The price of their tuition fee is only justified with the travel history and international exposure to be achieved.. They should think straight o cos we'll be spending more studying online, abi they'll share data.. Lol zill001: Their policy hasn't changed. If anything they have made it easier for people whose studies online have already taken up 50% of their study period especially those that started in May. What they are basically saying is that people in such situations can carry on studying online to complete their studies and still be eligible for pgwp. Before now, there was uproar from Indian students who started their studies in May. Its almost September and travel restrictions are still in place. This takes care of those people. For people that will start their online studies this September, they can as well continue to study online till April 2021 and still be eligible for pgwp. With this news, am believing that travel restrictions might not be eased soon |

Hi Frank, pls after what time will u advice someone to place order for the notes? Frankrobbn1: The time is too short to request for a GCMS notes on your application. Its better you wait as your application is barely a month old and no much activity could have been done within this time.
It will end in praise |

Welcome here and congrats on getting admission already.. Kindly go to page 1 and u'll see the links for all u need.. I'll also advice you to read this whole thread and 16 too. Good luck olasubomy: Good evening All,
I got an acceptance letter to UNB this morning but please i have some questions:
I have studied the estimated fees - $35,378.00 for the first year and $31,677.50 for the second year with total of $67,055.50 ( tutition, living, books and feeding expense inclusive) for the whole programme. While for tuition alone is $20,278.00 for the first year and $16,577.50 for the 2nd year resulting to $36,855.50 for the whole programme. Where i need clarification is minimum of how much should reflect in my sponsors account balance as a proof of funds to apply for Visa. i noticed the letter is a conditional offer - can one use a conditional offer for Visa application? Also for those very familiar with UNB please help.
Also, please can someone assist with a detailed list and first step in applying for study permit and how to go about it also docs to get ready. I am a novice in this area and willing to learn. |

I think that this lecturer may be the Head of graduate studies or something like that.. This his reply doesn't seem like an acceptance to me. I'll advice you to reply specifically asking if you can fill his name in the column for Supervisor.. The excepted reply should be a certain yes or no, instead of this politically correct statement. PS - I'll soon post my journey to gain admission.. This maple land waka is a hustle but we move Ogedadiva: Good afternoon wonderful people ! I am here again for your beautiful clarification.
I was here few months or thereabouts making enquiry about PhD programs. Adviced was given and so far I have messaged 13 lecturers for supervision.
One of the lecturers replied me today and I didn't understand whether he want to supervised me or not.
I also don't understand next line of action.
Please,I need your expertise advice and input.
Thank you very much for all things you all are doing here.
Attached is the response. |

Congratulations are sure in order.. Pls state the reasons for previous denial and how you addressed them.. Are you for masters/uni or PGD/college? What is currently showing on ur application portal? Pls did you submit Police character certificate? chichi93: Hi guys! So I applied for gcms notes on the 5th Via applygcms and it was quite insightful though I can’t explain the meaning of most terms and codes. Received it yesterday. Timeline: Reapplied: June 10th Eligibility passed on gcms: 30th June Medicals review assigned but not started: 30th June (I submitted upfront and I noticed it has been under review since July 1st. I don’t know why) Criminality: Passed Information sharing: Complete, ready to be reviewed. Original passport request assigned but not started: 30th June AIP sent: 5th August but I received on 6th Officers notes: previous refusal noted, rebuttal in SOP noted. Documentation adequately supports proposed study(in my own words). Eligibility passed. Final decision pending biometrics and medical result (even though the application is complete.)
So fingers crossed. |
