milkytins: Pls, why did u say it shouldn't exceed this week? Personally want to delay my application for 2 more weeks cos I am expecting another offer somewhere. Again, Thompson Rivers University says Data Science program will not be online, meaning I must resume by September. U MUST resume by September yet you want to apply in August? Does it happen that quickly? I'm guessing Frank said it should exceed this week, considering the current duration for processing application... Ur best guide is you sha. Good luck |

Osemigho: If you got a three year study visa but changed to one year program, I think, not sure, you have 2 options:
1. you enroll in another program to complete the three years. 2. Graduate one year program and apply for work permit. This cancels the remaining two years on your study permit.
In my opinion, anything apart from the two means you are out of status and illegal resident. Being out of status or illegal might be a very bad thing for your PR application.
You qualify for PR anytime you meet the requirements. You may already qualify and do not know. Studying in Canada is not an automatic gateway to Canadian PR, it just make it easier. I got my PR about two months into my masters program in 2017. To know if you already qualify, check out Canada Express Entry program.
All the best. Please I'm interested to know more about the bolded. How did you not know? Did you have EE in progress while you got study visa? |

Pls Which course did you get admitted to study? Did you get full or partial funding? If yes, was it from a supervisor you personally contacted or the one assigned after filing the pre-qualification form, or the funding came from graduate school? Ijeanwuli: Good morning all
Thank you for sharing freely
Please I am a little confused.
I have received my admission from University of Saskatchewan. Though I have deferred to Jan 2021. As a result of this the school said my admission letter will be issued late July or sometime in August.
Now, the confusion is that i know a few people that applied for visas for programs that have online alternative or are starting online till schools decide on their next steps and their visas were refused for this reason.( Or so they say)
I was initially planning to apply in August but now I think I want to wait till October.
Is this a wise decision ? |

Hi, pls did you have to submit IELTS to be admitted into UBC? Luckymama: Hello Qudkom, please I want to pick your brains a little. I notice you are in BC. I have two admissions - one in UBCO (Kelowna) and the other in TRU. They cost about the same - roughly 18k for a two year masters. I have been following job postings on indeed for some time to get a feel for the job opportunities in both towns, and it appears Kamloops has less opportunity than Kelowna, while Kelowna appears to be more expensive based off what I read online. What’s your opinion of the pros and cons of either school based on employment opportunities and affordability post degre? Thanks |

Please let's all try to accommodate each other. Make room for offenses so it's easier to forgive in advance. True but some applications are second and third time, so they have record of biometrics already. So while ur concerns are valid, they don't apply to ALL but thanks to the moniker that shared an information learned.. nlandgrandfada: I think it is. Even for the study permit How can we give biometrics without VAC centers opening(for those who haven't given biometrics before), And without biometrics Applications won't be processed. |

Thanks a lot.. I appreciate this Engager69: Submitting a car documents is cool, it can still help serve as home ties and if I would advice don’t just submit the car documents if possible let the VO know that you might even be leasing the car out while you away just to serve as addition stream of income. By doing this the VO won’t feel you would end up just saleing of the car on reaching Canada.
Also saying you leasing out a land and housing is also a cool idea but I would advice don’t just state it, prove it ( meaning you should show like a tenancy agreement between you and whoever you leasing it to. A lawyer can help you draft one or you tender a receipt showing proof of payment for the said property you leasing out) this would also serve as additional stream of income for you showing the VO you well established back home and you won’t want to be leaving all this multiple income streams behind
My little 2cent. hope it helps. Wishing you all the best on your quest for a study permit. |

Tone interpreter, I copy you loud and clear John Snow. So quoting my post till I get a response is also a bad thing? Thank God you're not the admin here. I hope u have the best of attitudes Mr. Perfect. U don't address people's enquiry o, na to tackle others u come do here.. We've noticed you eh, u can now take a chill pill Skymoore1004: No offence but you always possess a bad vibe energy and I called you on it today. You are quick to attack newbies and not answer others appropriately. You keep quoting your posts until you get a response, but when you don’t like the response, you enter defence mood.. Calm down ma
Oga frank thanks for everything you do here, but no dey too loud your achievements everytime. If God na man this world for don end. No offence too, but I always notice you say things like “do you know how many people I’ve helped”? Or “I can tell you about one client that did this and that & got approval” when someone challenges you. Again we all appreciate all your efforts especially as it’s not a paid job, but lower small bros. GodBless

Oga boss, ur perception of rudeness trip me o. Firstly, I asked that question here because I saw car documents here on NL and many others would have seen same. Secondly, I thanked both Frank and Dom that responded to my enquiry. The person I responded to in the post u quoted was countering Dom's advice to me instead of answering me directly and I didn't like that. When things aren't facts, it should be explained as personal opinions. Plenty gurus has suggested using church, community and cooperative positions as home tie. I personally don't think that is good enough because which of those positions can't be forfeited? But I've never talked down on anybody's suggestions, not just cos I'm new but cos it's rude to do so. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. When someone asks a question, answer them directly first before you attack others that kindly addressed their concerns. I have never commanded anybody to answer my questions. I request because I know that its free advice. I have also answered a few here for free too. So if you don't like my name or how I sound, u can kindly ignore my questions if I ask again.. The last thing I'll want associated with this journey is bad vibe. People do this on their own without coming to NL so u see that it's God that makes all the difference. Have a good evening. oma22: A car is an asset, but what we call a depreciating asset! If you spend 2 or 3 years in Canada the car u left in Nigeria has depreciated in value by a substantial amount, so it’s that enough to bring you home? Absolutely no! Sometimes google can answer the questions you people come here to ignorantly argue about. And the fact you came here to ask people’s opinions, you should not be rude when they give u answers you don’t want to hear. Nobody is paying anyone for information here, we are all giving it freely. So being nice will mot cost you anything. |

The bolded is the only correct thing you've said on this matter and I'm sure that you're not the VO so allow him to decide. U should read to understand rather than to just respond. Whether the car is a liability or asset is up to personal opinion and thus, not a fact. And then again, will attaching it make me not get the visa? I'm sure the answer is No. Then finally, u didn't respond to my enquiry o but chose to attack people that kindly did.. 88, u're not doing well eightyeight: Lol. You people always bring sentiments to everything. A car continues to loose value as soon as it is driven off a car lot.
You are saying you will lease it out to generate income. If the car can generate income without you being present in the country, why should the visa officer believe it will bring you back when your presence isn't really needed?
Also remember irrespective of what immigration laws or rules states, The visa officer has full discretion over an application. |

Thank you for your response to my enquiry. I appreciate it. What I believe Dom means is that a personal ownership of a car shows some form of economic stability in the resident country, even if it may not by interpreted as home tie. If attaching its documents to prove and even projecting it as a source of income in view, won't adversely affect an application, then I think it's ok to add it. I didn't even know that car docs can be added until I read uploaded documents from previous threads and thought to ask what it aimed at. Frankrobbn1: In view of the attachment, I can't see where they mentioned Car ownership to be an economic tie, level of establishment or property for PA study visa application. From the wisdom of my experiences no visa officer will consider car ownership as a positive assessment in analysing the overall admissibilty of an applicant for studies in Canada.
I will not go back and forth on this matter. Mine is to advise prospective applicants for free. It's the discretion of the applicant to implement the advices given or do what they believe would work for them.
It will end in praise. |

My own car isn't a liability. Hope you'll call your phone a liability as well or even children, siblings. Some families aren't even in talking terms, yet people claim them, how much more a high value property that you personally own. By stating that my car will be leased out in my absence makes it even an asset. You must not add car to your application but I've asked my question, have received all opinions and will add it to mine especially because it is not counter productive, so what's my loss? Absolutely nothing eightyeight: a car is not an asset. It has no appreciating value it only depreciates. Making it a liability. |

Thank you @dom and @Frank. Your suggestions are valid and I'll incorporate them. At least I now know that saying I'll lease any or all of them won't be counter productive. Car ownership may not prove to be a reason to return, but it shows the economic situation of the applicant.. An applicant owning a car could be interpreted as financial stability at the minimum and that's not a bad thing. |

@Frankrobbn1, anybody else, pls address this - what can be a valid reason for submitting car documents? Will stating that land and housing will be leased by counter productive? Pee2Jay9: Hello team, is it smarter to justify attaching land and car documents stating that they'll be on lease in my absence to generate income, or just state them as property owned without the lease part? I'm wondering if the lease part will suggest sell off to VO PS - the income part is not to add to living expenses o because the finances required are all available. Just wondering why people present car as home tie for 2 years study. Will the car be parked that long or what? Lolz |

YemmyPOG: @pee2jay9 but what you attached from thread 15 is a different thing from what you seem hell-bent on doing o. . Every section on document requirements has a ( ?)sign to help clarify all this things and it clearly states Imm family information form( NOT supporting docs) .Me I think it's better to be safe than sorry Sha. Goodluck to all of us. I'm not hell bent o, I just want us to be certain of points we call valid and discretionary. The post from part 15 proved that merged documents can be uploaded in the family section which is infact my point. I'm neither a VO nor a Guru but just want absolute truth rather than personal opinion. |

Pee2Jay9: Noted with thanks.
But why could I upload multiple merged documents in this section? The sections for IMM 1294e & 5257b are the only sections that didn't allow any upload except the validated and unsigned filled forms? Even medical section allowed upload of scanned documents. I'm just wondering why this is a big deal, like can someone's application be refused because he uploaded documents 'wrongly'. I'm struggling to understand it.. If every other document is to be merged into Client section, we'll shrink size till quality will disappear..
Successful applicants that merged IMM forms with other documents for online application, pls holla Find attached from part 15 so until I see counter proof, merging files for other sections is valid

Thank you for pointing this out. I appreciate The family forms I downloaded for that section had parents info different from sibling info. I guess I downloaded the wrong forms (IMM 5645 & 5707) then cos the only way to submit both will be to merge them. Pls which is the right form for that section cos it seems like only 1 form is required there TimAke: There is no law but if you read the instruction under this document (when you click on the blue question mark), it specifically describes only the family information form. I believe if there was the need to add any other supporting family documents there it would have mentioned that. Again, this is just my opinion and it is not absolute. |

I get ur point about waiting to read my update.. Hopefully, you won't hear bad news from me by God's grace. I have read several testimonies of people that got approvals despite arranging their documents how they thought best. ILoveTheLord is an example. jwon1: While I do not have a proof for you as requested. I just need to point out to you that you are not expected to print and sign the IMM forms before you can upload if you are applying online.
With your Acrobat/Adobe Reader - you can electronically fill the document and validate it, and if you are concerned about the signatory part, I believe your e-signature (your full name) during the process of transmitting the application to IRCC covers that.
While you can challenge the status quo --- you or the person in question can give it a trial if you decide to follow the abovementioned plan. We will be glad to read your update.
