I think you need to keep off men for a while till you heal and focus. This being accustomed to misuse and abuse could affect your ability to pick the right guy.
Like somebody said,dont get involved with another till you are over with the first relationship and you have left all that garbage behind.
Otherwise you will just mess up a good guy's love for you.

As a lady I know that we ladies would go out of our ways to look good esp when that tall handsome and dark gentleman you have been admiring from far asks you out.
Truth is first impressions matter a lot.They do to me. But I dont  think I would really stress.
I have learnt that a serious guy wouldn't care if you come dressed in jeans or t-shirt.He will love you regardless and enjoy time with you. That simplicity I love.
Its okay to spruce yourself up but do it comfortably without going broke. Work with what you got.
It just boosts your esteem but doesn't make the guy love you more.

That is shortterm pleasure. Outings/dates provide a platform to get to know each other better.
The reason value shouldn't be attached to it.I dont equate a great date to value spent.
If he takes me to a 5 star establishment and we end up spending usd 500 on meals alone without a significant impact/progress on our relationship,I don't think I will accept another date from him. Something progressive should always come out everytime one goes out.That is value added to the relationship.
I place more value on the quality of the date than the value spent on it.

If a gentleman asks a lady out on a date it is rude for the woman to pay. He asked and he pays. Especially on a first date. If a man asks you out on a date and waits for you to pay then high tail it out of there. He is not a gentleman

That is how it is but as a lady never ever assume esp on first dates. Have cash with you incase anything happens.
My principle is never go out broke. I like covering up risks to avoid embarrasment or danger.
Thing is,he knows I can pay for myself because the interest I have in him supercedes the value of the meal.
That means I took time to study him before accepting to go out on a date and therefore am okay with sharing costs.
Its a happy feeling cz hes a friend that I love.Thats how it should be. In most cases a guy that loves you enough to want to take you out will settle the cost.

Even if its imagination try to imagine reasonable stuff at least.The only thing I believe would could cause a wedding cancellation is a natural occurance/accident/sickness.
If I choose to dig deep into ur question,I would want to know the the logistical problems that would make it hard for you to continue the wedding.
Questions like
1. What perfection are we talking about here? what was overlooked and why? must it be perfected today or can it wait 2 days? If it waits what is most likely to happen? will it cost me extra fees? if so yes I will pay.
Things don't just go that way.Even if I told Trump I have a wedding tomorrow and he needed me to be in his office am sure there's something that can be worked out unless the person is inhuman.Wedding is a one day thing and it costs a lot in preparation so no sober person would let you cancel your wedding to go perfect docs.

2. Where exactly are the papers? In lebanon? is there no possibility of flying to and fro.That should take hours. If they are in pagopago then cant papers be scanned? correction cant be done online? even signatures are signed online.

3. Is there nobody else that can represent you? what if you were had an accident and were not able to go? There must be a provision at least.This is the real world not fantasy.

4. Finally well if its 2 days then its possible to postpone a wedding unless u got guests jetting in from wherever and reservations have been made. Am sure no food has been cooked so that is saved. pay cancellation charges for venue and push it. It happens at times.

Nway I lack answers to such questions cz they are too stretched.
