I think what the op is talking about is testing each others threshold for anger.

MBJ,people put up shows while dating and hide their true character.

A mad lady will pretend to be an angel while the dude capable of murdering acts like John the baptist.

These tests are not 100% guarantees but they give you some taste of what to expect.

If we date for 5 years without a single quarrel or argument I will start doubting myself.

You want to know how they react to situations.Do they walk away ,give you the silent treatment,knock your head, break stuff,scream,call the neighbours or what

That will gauge the kind of person am dating.Remember that people don't change when they marry.Their true character shows up cz they have you in the box.

What is wrong with trying to bring out that true character using every means possible when you discover your partner is too good to be true?

Ladies, If a girl is shy, how do you give her self confidence?

I don't think being shy means lack in self confidence.

A wild,rude and loud girl could lack in self confidence ,you know. The loud one thinks that being rude and loud will get her noticed.
So you ask,why does she want to get noticed. Beating drums and blowing trumpets is not the best way.

And you cannot give somebody self-sonfidence. Long One, many gals may have gone thru stuff that have ruined their self confidence.
Good example is violation. She can grow up and exhibit 2 character traits as a result of that.

1.She may shut down and not be open to people esp.men
2.She may decide to revenge by taking her anger out on men through breaking hearts.


A shy gal has issues expressing herself but that doesn't mean she's lacking.Exposure can help.

Lack of self confidence is manifested through destructive/not beneficial behaviour and shyness is not destructive.

Chima u made me think about ladies who have no male models. Are u saying that they have issues with self esteem? Its one thing to have males around you and another for them to be role models.
I think what helped me more besides having strict parents was my attitude as well.
Not discriminating and being able to adapt to different environments with different kinds of people.
Your attitude determines your altitude. You dont need to change in order to fit.You only need to adapt.

I wanted to be like Tyra as well. Then I wanted to be like Angelina Jolie.
Its all hormonal I guess and its allowed.But see as you mature you reach a stable age and all these fantasies change.
I have a problem with mature ladies who have self esteem issues.Teenager I wouldn't mind so much cz I will blame the hormones.
But anybody above 20 must come to some realisation.Understand that fantasy is far from reality.
If you value yourself you will not allow the media to shape or influence your decisions or life.

Black represents masculinity,toughness,survival ,jungle (Not wild),.That inturn screams protection.Its just a mind thing that I cant put into words very well.
Brown screams ,mummy's boy,soft,sissy or spoilt. Am sorry but again its just a mind thing.

Now I am very much aware of the fact that not all blacks are tough and not all browns are soft. Its just preferences.
