I spent a few months in Owerri during the elections and I know many who are complaining about the LP guy that was voted in for Senate.

The complaint is that in PDP, he did nothing defected to the LP and the wave railroaded him to the red chamber again. Many are still upset he is going back.

All we are saying is that he should have just kept his opposition to Obi’s ambition to himself and his APGA family, and you would have seen Anambra people vote for LP at the presidential election and do “Nkea Bu Nke Anyi” on the State Level election. Anambra people went against him even at state level because of his utterances against Obi.

Ask yourself, why didn’t Umahi or Uzodimma write such letter to Obi since they are in different political parties and had a more viable presidential candidate they were supporting? Why did they read the room and kept quiet?

But Soludo felt he’s the most intelligent Igbo man alive and can write letters to ridicule the only Igbo man that has come closest to the presidency since Aguiyi Ironsi and you say there’s nothing wrong in his actions?

As for this case, it is DEAD as DODO and will not stand in anyway.

The reasons are simple:
1. This case talks about the interpretation of the Supreme Court corrected Judgement of March 24, 2023.

2. The FCT High Court suit was filed by Alh Rabiu Mustapha
& Kamaru Ogidan Lateef v. Victor Oye & INEC. APGA was not a Party to the suit and hence not bound by the Judgement.

3. This case itself has been decided by 2 Federal High Courts (in Abuja & Awka): In both judgements, the Courts affirmed Oye.

4. The Appeal Court also affirmed the judgement of the Abuja FHC.

5. Not to be caught off guard, APGA still obtained a judgement from the Anambra High Court to hold Congresses for the forthcoming Convention.

6. The subject of all these litigations, be it Oye or Edozie, were sworn-in on May 31, 2019; their 4-year tenure had expired so that invariably means no Court can do anything wrt that.

So Soludo’s actions and utterances during the election are justified?

While Brother Bernad falls down which is a comic relief, permit me to say that Igbos know next to nothing about politics. They play politics with sentiments and emotions, they play politics with hatred and envy, they’re not united and that’s why they’re never at the front burner of National politics in this country. The government at the top involve them in politics at the National level and give them appointments simply because they’re Nigerians and there’s need to carry them along. Which is good.

A typical Igbo man will put money in front first before considering anything else. Imagine the igbo people kidnapping a sitting governor inside his office. They sit at their comfort zone and want everything handed over to them. It is not done like that. For how long did Tinubu start his plans to become the president? It took him years. More than 20years. That’s how it works.

I feel there’s need for my Igbo brothers and sisters to start Planning now. Because after Tinubu comes down as president after 8years, the south east guys will take over. But if they fail in their attempt to come together, then they will fail again and the position will return back to the North.

The Igbos are in every nooks and crannies of this country. Infact, there is this saying that any where you go and you don't find an Igbo man don't stay.

From the voting pattern since 1999, the Igbos have been voting candidates of other ethnic groups even when the Igbos are on the ballot as we observed in 2003.

the 2023 election was very unique. Unique in the sense that, it is the first time the Igbos wholeheartedly voted an Igbo man. They did not vote the Igbo man because he is Igbo but because he was the most qualified amongst all the presidential candidates

The Peter Obi candidacy wasn't an Igbo affair, it was a Pan Nigeria affair, the Igbos only keyed in because of their Pan Nigeria disposition

Politics is a game, in soccer once your opponent know you're a one way player, forget you're doom. same applies to politics, SE always go one way in politics by voting for one party, Taking SW for instance, Lp won Lagos state, PDP won Osun state, Apc won remaining states, that's the beauty of playing politics in a safer way.

But do you now agree that Southeast voting pattern in the last election was not because Obi is Igbo but because he satisfied what other candidates they have voted in the past satisfied?
