helinues:Nothing you said negates my submission of Tinubu’s ambition being in the mud right from his own backyard. If I were you, I wouldn’t waste my time on a project that already failed before it began. |
helinues:The impending reality must be tasting bitter in your mouth, huh? In 2023, there shall be a repeat of 1999 where Igbo men would be the flagbearers for the two dominant parties. Accept this and have peace. |
helinues:Just toh? That’s Tinubu’s ambition in the mud and all you could say is toh? Una never see something. Like Awolowo and Abiola before him, Tinubu shall go to his grave with an unfulfilled ambition after servitude to the north. His 2015 treachery shall be paid back to him in a million fold. |
Cizarr:Are you a hermit? Do you live in some desert away from the rest of the world? |
I believe we all are aware of the details of the Magodo estate saga, so, there’s no need boring us with details anymore. Now the reason I want us to reason together(Isaiah chapter 1) on this matter is because today it is Sanwolu handling this matter, tomorrow, it could be any of us that are here that might become governor or even the AGF, how would you handle it? As a way of background study to Buhari’s attitude towards court judgments since he became president, I would like to chronicle the major court pronunciations and how Buhari’s govt handled them. To the best of my knowledge, the only court orders that Buhari’s govt has disobeyed were the court orders ordering for the release of Sambo Dasuki and Elzakizaky. Aside from those two, I don’t think I have record of this govt disobeying court orders. Let’s mirror the major pronouncements especially from the Supreme Court. The first major and controversial shocking judgement of the Supreme Court was declaring Hope Uzodimma of APC as the governor of Imo State and sacking Ihedioha of the PDP. This judgment was controversial because Uzodimma came 4th in election and the figures he led claim to obtain the judgment will forever remain questionable. But what happened, this judgment was swiftly obeyed. Second, the Zamfara State judgment where the Supreme Court ruled that APC had no valid primaries in the run on to the 2019 elections and therefore its participation in the elections was null and void. This judgment was against the APC but was obeyed to the letter. In the same vein, the Supreme Court sacked David Lyon, the APC governor-elect in Bayelsa state because of the irregularities of his deputy’s name and credentials. This judgment came on the eve of the swearing in ceremony of the governor-elect but even though the judgment was against APC, the judgment was obeyed to the letter. Lastly, the APC has been unable to present a governorship candidate in Rivers state since 2015 through the judgments of the Supreme Court. And as painful as it is, the APC federal government led by Buhari has never disobeyed these orders. Now why would Magodo estate judgment of the Supreme Court be different? Why the emotional blackmail of those sent to enforce the judgment? Especially from some online elements both here on Nairaland and elsewhere? The Supreme Court judgment might not be palatable to Lagos state govt and those who bought and built houses on the land. But Nigeria is not a banana republic and the ruling of the Supreme Court shall always be SUPREME. Lawyers will tell you that the law is a b*tch and does not care about your emotions but facts. The facts on ground is that the Lagos state govt acquired those pieces of land and converted to private use instead of public use as stated by the Land Use Act. My plea to my fellow political watchers and observers is that the course of the law should be allowed to run without these sensational narratives whether by sponsored elements or the misinformed. Tinubu urchins are still playing the ostrich and living in denial. Not surprised though. That’s how they lived in denial of Buhari’s person in 2015. I would be happy to see them and their opolo eye principal cry painful tears in 2023. Ndi ala! NB: This post will never make FP. |
Northernblood5:Very unprofessional! If it’s fake news, it is People’s Gazette that will be liable and not Nairaland so I wonder why the rush in deleting the post if there’s no narrative they’re pushing. |
A piece of news from People’s Gazette, made it Nairaland front page about Osinbajo meeting and informing Buhari of his intentions to run in the 2023 presidential election. But no sooner had we barely finished reading it than a rebuttal coming from Laolu Akande, spokesperson for the Vice President, denying such meeting and labeling it with their new found baptismal phrase of “fake news” when “he was contacted”. What it means is that Laolu Akande did not release a statement on his own to deny the said publication but waited to be “contacted” to label it “fake news”. Barely had the rebuttal hit front page than the initial report of the meeting disappeared from Nairaland front page and anywhere on Nairaland. But not so with the news of the secret meeting between Aminu Tambuwal and the former governor of Ondo State, Segun Mimiko, where they purportedly discussed about Mimiko being Vice Presidential candidate to Tambuwal should APC succeed in drafting former president Goodluck Jonathan to the 2023 presidential race. In rebuttal, Olusegun Mimiko, through his media aide, released a statement, without waiting to be “contacted” declaring that such meeting never took place and that his principal is committed to the position of Southern Governors Forum of power returning to the south in 2023. However, despite this rebuttal, the first report of the meeting is still on Nairaland front page but that of Osinbajo has surreptitiously disappeared. And the question is why? Do the owners and managers of Nairaland mean to tell Nigerians and the reading public that because Laolu Akande said such report is “fake news” therefore it never happened despite our recent experiences with the things labeled as “fake news” by the government in power and its agencies finally turning out as true. Most recent is the presence of the military at the Lekki Tollgate which the army had labeled as “fake news” but the world knows the true position of things today. Again, what happened to putting every piece of information out to the reading public and allowing them to read and take their own position? In same vein, how many piece of information from People’s Gazette has turned out as “fake news” since the platform started that this will finally be fake news that Nairaland will rush to delete the piece of information from them? And lastly, if Nairaland is now a fighter of “fake news”, why did it not also delete the report from News Telegraph of Tambuwal’s meeting with Mimiko after the latter denied such meeting ever happened? Or why the equivocation? There’s been suspicions and accusations, real or imagined, of Nairaland pursuing an agenda but I thought that as a big platform, it would at least cloak its biases than this brazen display. I know this post would be deleted but before then those I’m talking to shall have read it. And for the record, I and some people like me who constantly demand professional and unbiased practice from Nairaland according to the ethics of journalism, are not after the downfall of Nairaland but its impeccable reputation as an unbiased biggest platform in the African continent. Penguin is a bird of reason! |
I’ve heard and seen that power is good. But you see the kind of power that Uzodimma has now, I don’t pray to have that kind of power. I’m not sure dude has had peace of mind for a single day since he stole Ihedioha’s mandate. Look at him begging to be allowed to be governor ![]() |
If this doesn’t make front page lemme deactivate my Nairaland account. Oya front page in 1 2 3 ....

Osinbajo presidency is Tinubu’s presidency by proxy. We can’t say we don’t want a thief and go ahead to choose one of the thief’s many errand boys. Osinbajo will open the nation’s treasury to Tinubu. No Tinubu in 2023. No Osinbajo No Yoruba. No be only Yoruba waka come for southern Nigeria. |
BigSarah:Are you supporting everybody? |
So na android Whitemoney dey use? |
In 2023, the rest of Nigerians will have to choose between Nigeria’s unity by handing the presidency to an Igbo man. Or Letting Biafra go through referendum. It’s a matter of either A or B. No middle places. |
AntonVince:Imagine. The truth is that Osinbajo’s presidency is Tinubu’s presidency in proxy. Presidential directives will still be signed off at bourdilon. I guess that’s why they are trying to create false crises between Osinbajo and Tinubu so we think the two men are not together but we shall never be deceived. |
NotFarFrom:Even that post you quoted contains a modification capturing the fact that her visa expired since Dec 26th. I guess you are the one that needs to be reading. Mtcheew |
FernandezReturn:These feminists can forge anything |
Kenya again? It’s like Uhuru Kenyatta has sold Kenya to Nigeria because I don’t understand this constant harassment of anti-Nigerian govt elements in that country. First it was Nnamdi Kanu Now, it’s Moe Odele. But wetin dey even carry this people go Kenya? Modified: So her visa expired since 26th of December and she dey call police. Imagine the effrontery. All these feminists and their stupidity sometimes can tire person. Onye Ala!

That is the stupid Direct Primaries that fools and Tinubu urchins want the country to be investing billions conducting only to still be manipulated by the same moneybags they are claiming they want to take power from. Ndi ala! |
Life is give and take. It’s either the presidency accepts the padding or the president will be overridden on the Electoral Bill. Nigeria is truly a Banana Republic. |
kahal29:I’m willing to be educated if you know what I don’t know. |
Vistra40:Good you didn’t insult me today. About Peter Obi, he will show interest when the time is right. Did you imagine that Atiku would choose him as VP candidate in 2019? |
princdebola201:Calm down and watch events unfold. After Obasanjo 8 years presidency... And Osinbajo 8 Vice Presidency... No Yoruba will be president in 2023. Thank you |
DubaiLandLord:Tinubu will never be president. Know this and adjust accordingly. |
DubaiLandLord:In 2007, Atiku was a heavyweight but his weight took him nowhere. A little known Yaradua became flagbearer. When it was time to choose vp, Peter Odili was a heavyweight in the Southsouth. Even Donald Duke had his own weight. But a little known Goodluck Jonathan got chosen. In 2015, your Tinubu was still a heavyweight when choice of vp was being made but his weight couldn’t save his ass and a little known Yemi Osinbajo became Vice President. And you still believe in Tinubu’s weight? |
Entprys:Be ready to have an Igbo man hanging on your wall as your president for 8 years from 2023. |
ThatFairGuy1:APC is still not gonna zone its ticket to the Southwest. The meeting is concluded and 2023 is for Southeast. Deal with it. |
Seriously? Umahi will forever regret the day he defected to APC. If he was still in PDP, he would have been one of the greatest contenders for the PDP ticket. My hope is that if ever Atiku agrees to shelve his ambition, he should use his structure to support Peter Obi to get the PDP ticket. Obi is the man that will set Nigeria in the path of progress. Let that be the last gift that Atiku gives Nigeria because it’s seeming like he’s not destined to be president like Tinubu who will die with a sore in his heart like Awolowo and Abiola before him despite their servitude to the north.

Myexdisturbs:Na only u get sense for here I swear. They are paid Tinubu urchins in Igboland. How many Igbos have declared their ambition to run? Only Anyim. Now the only one that has declared his ambition to run, you have issues that he’s getting endorsement. Are they mad? No true Igbos will do that. You want to reserve endorsement for people that hasn’t summoned the courage to declare to contest but are quick to deny having a hand whenever a poster of their presidential ambition is sighted anywhere. Ndi ala! These are the kind of people that Unknown Gun Men should be disappearing immediately. |
Ewu! God hasn’t told you as if you have ever heard from God. Meanwhile whether God speak or Him no speak, we know it will never be Osinbajo or his drug Barron godfather Tinubu. Thank u. |
Trump my Gee! Like Nigeria like America... Nigerians felt GEJ wasn’t good enough and voted a lifeless idiot as supported by a frog-eyed drug barron called Tinubu, and today they wish they never made that mistake. Same way some Americans thought Trump was bad for them and the elected this disaster they have now. Keep bossing around, Trump my guy. |
Ogbuefi2020:Lol! They said they can do Imam/Imam ticket and Nigerians will still vote for them. When Tinubu was converting to Islam, he must have thought it would keep him better placed in Nigeria’s power play. Now it’s a curse. Wouldn’t be surprised if he converts to Christianity. |
