That way, you will get quality Teachers who will dedicate their life and time to truly impact the young ones to help them develop.

Also, every form of non conventional form of education should be abolished at the basic level. All these Koranic Schools Or Islammiyya schools should be abolished and only meant for people who have finished secular Primary and Secondary Schools.

Same with any similar Christian school system.

That way, what children will first learn won’t be how to recite religious book and some religious indoctrination but the right mental development suitable for their overall development.

Primary school pupils kneel as they beg Gov. Godwin Obaseki to rehabilitate their dilapidated school.

In the video, a man could be seen lamenting the state of the classroom block of the school which was built with mud blocks and is now collapsing due to the effect rain as caused by leaky zinc.

The entire scene is an eyesore and calls to huge question the level of poor leadership that the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki has provided in education in Edo State.

Hopefully respite will come to the school for the sake of the future of the young children in the school.

N135bn debt: Court strikes out AMCON’s case against Ifeanyi Ubah

The criminal charge filed by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) against Ifeanyi Ubah and his company, Capital Oil and Gas Limited, has been dismissed by the federal high court sitting in Lagos.

At the hearing on Wednesday, Channels TV said Oluwaseun Onabowu, counsel to AMCON, gave an oral application to withdraw the suit.

Ubah, the senator representing Anambra south, and Capital Oil were hit with a lawsuit for alleged false claims and a debt of N135 billion.

The federal government had in 2019, filed charges against Ubah and Capital Oil, leading to the court, on June 13, 2023, directing criminal summons be issued to the senator and his company.

The order was given on an 8-count charge bordering on his alleged indebtedness to AMCON.

According to the debt-recovery agency, Ubah and Capital Oil allegedly conspired to make false claims in relation to the actual values of certain assets transferred to AMCON under a consent judgment he and his company made with AMCON.

The defendants were also alleged to have obstructed AMCON in the realisation of part of his outstanding debt of N135 billion by frustrating the sale of a property at Banana Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the proceedings, Onabowu said the parties had agreed to withdraw the case against the senator in Lagos after a consent judgment was reached in a sister case before the federal capital territory (FCT) court in Abuja.

The court was urged by the AMCON counsel to strike out the charge filed against the defendants.

Affirming the position of AMCON, Ifeoma Esom, the lawyer to Ubah and Capital Oil, confirmed to the court that agreements have been reached with the complainant.

Subsequently, Nicholas Oweibo, the presiding judge, struck out the charge.

In May when Dangote Refinery was commissioned by former President Buhari, sane Nigerians like us questioned the commissioning of a facility that was not ready but we were tagged haters.

We were further accused of being jealous because the refinery is not owned by an Igbo man. We said okay.

Dangote and his commissioned liars, including Agbado cretins, swore the refinery will start refining fuel by July/August of this year and we said okay; let’s wait and see.

July came, no show.

August came, no show.

September came, still no show.

We are in October now, and we are hearing Dangote is now one of the licensed importers of crude instead of him to tell us when his refinery is coming on stream.

So I want to ask, where is Dangote Refinery?

Are those of us who refused to be impressed by the facade still haters?

An independent report before the scam inauguration said the refinery will be ready by first quarter of 2024. But who knows if that is even achievable right now.
