I must admit that I was shocked (as I know many must have been) to see the BBC article which exonerated Tinubu of forgery. However, I was only shocked but not surprised. I was not surprised because I know the extent that the people we are dealing with can go. I was also not surprised because I know that BBC would always serve UK’s interest. And what is UK’s interest? That Nigeria (and their other feeding bottles) remain in ruins so that Nigerians can continue to remit billions of pounds to British Treasury in trying to escape the cesspit that the country has become. So, in whichever perspective you look at it, BBC’s article is not a product of unbiased analysis or reportage. It’s either they were bought or they were simply serving the interest of their country. Or how would you justify the fact that BBC never followed nor reported the entire Chicago Court Proceedings on the Tinubu Certificate saga only for them to wake from their pretended slumber after the CSU record had been made public to do a biased fact check and completely exonerate Tinubu of any wrongdoing in the process. Why this is troubling is because BBC is a big enough platform whose opinion is enough to serve as reference point for other opinion molders and for even the Supreme Court to hang onto and spare Tinubu. But had they done an unbiased job, it would have been better. Rather they closed their eyes on a lot of questions raised by Tinubu’s CSU records and focused only on whether the diploma that Tinubu submitted to INEC is fake or not. Or why did it not matter to BBC that the qualifying degree that Tinubu used to gain admission into CSU has “F” boldly written on it which indicates that it belongs to a female? Why did it not matter to BBC that from CSU records, Tinubu claimed to have attended Government College, Lagos and graduated from the school in 1970 while the school was actually established in 1974? Why did it not matter to BBC that from CSU records, Tinubu now has up to 3 dates of birth? Why did it not matter to BBC that speaking at Chatham House in 2022, Tinubu told the world that he had gotten his “Original Replacement Degree Certificates” from CSU only for “Third Party Vendors” to start flying around after Tinubu’s certificate had been released to the public and a lot of discrepancies noticed? BBC chose rather to base its biased and deficient position on the testimony of CSU Registrar. But how reliable is his testimony in court? How are we sure that the things the Registrar said in court are the truth? What if he told some lies just to help cover CSU’s complicity in the whole mess? Are facts not meant to be questioned? How far did BBC go in questioning what they relied on as fact?. So, it’s simple, I know that some people are celebrating the BBC report and would quote it as authority for as long as it serves their purpose, but I want them to know that sane and discerning Nigerians are not deceived. And the fact that the report is from BBC doesn’t make it infallible, incontrovertible and unquestionable. Penguin is a bird of reason! |
Zxcvbnmghtr:My problem with you people is your inability to see beyond your noses. Your inability to draw inferences from facts before you. And even to question the facts. Soludo’s unprovoked vituperations against Obi was simply because he knows that if Obi succeeds in becoming president, then his dream of becoming president would die a natural death as he would be too old to run for election by the time it would be the turn of Igbos again (that’s if he’s still alive). That’s why he supported Atiku. And I’m sure he would have defected to PDP had Atiku won so that he can position himself. This is why Soludo talked really rubbish against Obi during the election. Nothing more, nothing less. But I can guarantee you one thing for free - that Soludo ended his political career with that singular action. I’m not asking you to believe me, I’m asking you to wait and see. |
tollyboy5:There’s no respect for a crook. Anyone can decide to dole out money and buy up people to sing their Elegy when they should be singing their Dirge, it takes honour not to do that. And honour and Tinubu are two parallel concepts. |
Shey dem no fit rename this place ni?🤔 |
Hedonisco:That’s why I like what Dele Farotimi said. That he thanks God for Tinubu because his emergence has exposed a lot of closet bigots and ethnic chauvinists we didn’t they are like that. That men we considered honorable could be coming out to defend Tinubu with all his baggage and criminality can be likened to the 9th wonder of the world. |
CloudTrees:Not everyone has a price. Some people would rather go under the sword than sell their honour. I’m one of those. |
Zxcvbnmghtr:My happiness with all this your rhetorics is that it simply proves you are agreeing that truly, Farouk Kperogi, Reno Omokri and co, have been bought despite their initial had stance against the character called Tinubu. |
Zxcvbnmghtr:It will never come. Waiting for such time would be waiting for Godot. |
ottersberger:Lol! That’s why I said I’m not surprised. BBC knows whose interest they are serving. They are not serving Nigeria’s interest but UK’s interest. And UK’s interest is that Nigeria remains in ruins so that we can be paying billions to them trying to escape. |
yommen:Simple question… Who are those better than him? Name them so we can compare their records side by side. It’s a challenge I’m daring you to take. |
gratefulheart:Let that Emeka Chikelu come out for anything tomorrow and you people will still say he’s the worst human being on earth. The only reason you dared to rate him above Obi is because he has not said he wants to be president. |
Isokotolopia:Lol! I thought I was the only one who noticed that Farouq Kperogi finally took the contract to join the CORN team. They finally paid his price. But it’s very pathetic to see that men we thought had honour have no honour at all. |
Lol! Tinubu stepping foot into Bayelsa alone is enough to cause Sylva to lose like 10,000 votes already. Death to APC! |
StOla:So Tinubu saw that Richard Daley College indicated his gender as “female” as far back as 1972 and he never made effort to ask that the error be corrected, knowing the implication of such error? |
yarimo:And it is you, who are supporting Tinubu, that have integrity? |
sukkot:I speak to you authoritatively that Dave Umahi is the worst governor that Ebonyi has had since 1999. The only thing he succeeded in doing is using aesthetics and PR to deceive outsiders and give the impression that he did well. Under Umahi education died. Under Umahi workers suffered. Under Umahi touts held sway. The only thing he concentrated on was infrastructure(roads) because he was using his company to construct them and get the money back. Umahi was so terrible that he even lost his polling unit as a Senatorial Candidate in the last election. But even if Umahi was such a great person, the moment he comes out for election now, you lots will remember he’s Igbo and start your usual tribalism. That’s how Orji Uzor Kalu was the best Igbo man to have ever been created by God until he dared to contest for the Senate Presidency. About Otti, 4 months ago, did anyone know Otti could do what he’s currently doing? Or you wanted Igbos to support him so that you would have said we are supporting somebody that has never held political leadership before and bla bla? |
EcoNews:It’s obvious you lots cannot engage constructively and logically without degenerating to insults and illogical vituperations. Not like I’m surprised. Because it simply betrays the content of your head and the nature of your environment. Meanwhile, need I remind you that Tinubu was convicted at the Supreme Court in the case instituted by Gani Fawehimi but only escaped getting sacked as governor on technicalities. And does all the barrage of criminal revelations about him not worry you? Tell me another politician with even half the baggage that Tinubu has. |
Raskimonojendor:Oya go to Anambra today and ask them to who their best governor has been between Ngige, Obi, Obiano and Soludo. Go and ask them and come and tell us what your result is. |
StOla:How is what you said here, a reaction to what you quoted? There’s no correlation. Maybe you should read what you quoted again, slowly and with dictionary so you can understand whatever word that confused you and made you write the gibberish you wrote as reply. |
Paraman:Why are there so many errors on Tinubu’s certificate? Do we have any precedence? Anyone with similar errors at CSU? Or is Tinubu the first and last? |
LegendHero:You forgot HIV, AIDS, STD, STI, BRB, LMAO, GRV😏 |
tolue42:Actually, what I said is beyond your sense. |
StOla:Thank you for stating who the Igbo man is - a man that fears nor spares no one who messes up. In Igboland, not even the gods are spared if they deviate. Yes, the gods must be consistent and just pray they risk being confronted. So, if we can challenge even the gods, who is Rishi Sunak? |
stuffs2002:Now what is the truth? |
yarimo:I was thinking you would quote me and list the Igbo politicians that are better than Obi. But alas, you regurgitating articles that were sponsored by opposition parties. If Obi is anything written on any of the trash up there, why have your Government agencies not been able to probe or find even a pin on him? |
Am I surprised? Not at all BBC has been commissioned by Rishi Sunak to launder Tinubu’s image and give the Supreme Court something to hold onto and spare Tinubu. These modafuckas want Nigeria destroyed so that we can be remitting billions of pounds to them trying to escape. If not, why would BBC concentrate only on whether the diploma was forged or not, and ignore other discrepancies? They ignored the fact that the certificate from Southwest College has Female on it. They ignored that from documents from CSU, Tinubu has 3 dates of birth. They ignored that Tinubu said he attended a school that didn’t exist as of the date he claimed he graduated. They ignored the fact that Tinubu told the world at Chatham House that he had gotten his “Original Replacement Degrees” from CSU, but deposition, CSU Registrar said, under oath, that CSU has never issued any certificate to Tinubu. BBC ignored all these things and more and concentrated on whether Diploma was forged or not while basing their position on the deposition of CSU Registrar and you expect sane Nigerians to take BBC serious? Only fools and dead brain idiots would take BBC serious on this particular reportage. |

This is a response to Sukkot’s thread where he asked if Igbos are supporting Obi because they think he’s competent or because they are looking for bragging rights. In response, I want to ask him and those who share in his line of thinking to name any Igbo politician more competent than Peter Obi in Nigeria today. And when I talk about being better, I’m talking holistically; that is by all yardstick used in measuring competence. By education, how many Igbo politician are as widely educated as Peter Obi? Away from book intelligence and acquiring of titles and degrees, how many Igbo politician have been able to demonstrate competence and apply their book intelligence into practical and demonstrable achievements in governance? I ask this because we have seen Professors and people we considered intelligent go into public office and fail woefully. Examples abound…. Prof. Ben Ayade of Cross River is an example. And most recently, Anambra people will testify to Soludo has turned out to an unimaginable disappointment even with all his certificates. So, you see, it’s not about the most educated or the person who speaks the best Queen’s English but about who has been able to apply what he has upstairs to real life solutions and had a great outcome. That’s where Obi stands tall above everyone else. And then we talk about integrity…. Obi is the most scrutinized Nigerian since 2022 but still nothing could be found on him. Man has conquered greed. Handled Anambra finances with utmost discipline with misappropriating a dime. How many Igbo politician can boast of that? If all Igbos cared about was bragging rights, then we would have supported any of the Igbo politicians in APC. Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu, Umahi, etc. But we didn’t do that, and will never do that because we don’t trust in their capacity after their vapor record in office as governors of their state. Every non-Igbo (except the one lying to himself or deliberately being mischievous) knows that if you place Osinbajo and Okorocha side by side as presidential candidates, Igbos would vote Osinbajo over Okorocha (or somebody like Orji Uzor Kalu). At worst case scenario, Igbos would rather sit at home than vote Okorocha. So why would anyone suggest that Igbos only care about bragging rights? For the one billionth time, our support for Obi is solely based on his competence, character and his record as Anambra governor. And that Anambra people worship Obi, almost as god, is enough to prove to anybody that Obi was exceptional as their governor. Or you think they were deceived by media propaganda? So, which Igbo politician is better than Peter Obi that Igbos would have supported instead of supporting Obi? |
Treadway:I said it |
Maize247:Yes. Now, can we see Tinubu’s WAEC where he had his parallel A1s💁? |
