Health › Re: Must A Chief Medical Director or Health Minister Be A Doctor? by Pennywise(m): 12:15pm On Nov 08, 2011
A Chief Medical director does not have to be the chief executive of a hospital. As someone said, there can be a chief nursing director, a chief pharmaceutical director, a chief laboratory director but they all shld be answerable to a CEO which is purely managerial position.

The present order of things is to say the least laughable. Doctors are taking 1-2yr turns as CMDs which is nothing more than ego trips and rent seeking opportunities. There are no real laid down plans for short/long term policy formulation/implementation, no vision and as a result these hospitals are forever stunted in infrastructures, technology, career dvt, etc.

The position of CEOs should be left to people with requisite qualification and experience. Being a doctor etc will then be just an advantage and not a sole pre-qualification to run these huge multi-million dollar establishments.

Those who liken medical practice to the judiciary are being insincere because the hospital can be a self sustaining business. The judiciary cannot unless if they want judges to start selling justice.

Politics › Re: The 3 Worst Performing Governors In Nigeria? by Pennywise(m): 6:03pm On Nov 07, 2011
For all those hating on Uduaghan I hear things are about to change in that state starting from Warri where his daughter is getting married this week. All abandoned roundabouts are being cleared of weed, road side bushy weeds are being removed, abandoned waste bins are being tended even road ravaged pot holes are getting attention. Warri is certainly going to wear a new look in the next 2 mths.

Warri residents would wish Uduaghan has enough daughters to go round every other mth of the year.

Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Should Resign! by Pennywise(m): 4:12pm On Nov 06, 2011
A few months ago the army moved in on BH the way they have done in troublesome areas of the south many times . There were

complaints about soldier excesses. One press statement here, an article there from a few core northern interests making barely

disguised threat on the C-in-C, Jonathan promptly gave others to withdraw soldiers allowing BH opportunity to regroup and

unleash menace. This is not how to be president of Nigeria. If others were like him there would have been no country for him to

preside over. Good luck or sheer fortune can get u the presidency of Nigeria but it can not guarrantee good leadership. How

many people have to die from the menace called BH. Apparently Jonathan and his wife are not at all interested in the affairs of

state. What counts to them is the money and glamour.

Its a big shame this is happening, an even bigger shame that we are being ruled by a man with no insight or no planB. GEJ is a lame duck, this crazed people have been bombing just about anything in sight and our president is busy doing fok-all. what a cursed nation we have in nigeria, why cant someone with balls handle this crazed morons. i thot we have SSS, military police and other law agencies to tackle this innocent deaths, why cant we utilised this people or are we waiting for help outing the foking state?
Actually the president is doing sth about it. There is a policy in place. It is called appeasement policy. You villify and jail those accused of being too hard on BH that way the terrorist will stop their attacks!

The problem is that history does not support this kind of policy. The policy is doomed to fail and when it does Jonathan and his advisers will have to go and arrest Boko Haram themselves bc no security man would like to risk jail term doing a legitimate assignment.
Politics › Re: Howard University Faults Alison- Madueke’s Year Of Graduation by Pennywise(m): 6:28pm On Nov 05, 2011
Does it occur to any of you that Diezani may have impersonated a male relative in America? Either that or she is so dull that she spent 9 years reading a 5 yr course.
Politics › Re: The Shame of a nation. Nigeria's Petroleum Minister Allison-Madueke !!! by Pennywise(m): 5:56pm On Nov 04, 2011
Gbawe:
I was literally speechless when I read the revelations about Allison-Madueke. I did my best , before she was confirmed as returning Petroleum Minister, to post the article here but my posts were deleted as soon as I submitted them. In the end I was banned and only unbanned after she had been confirmed. Go figure. It is my personal belief that everything possible was done to make sure Allison-Madueke scaled through. Apparently GEJ was very impressed with her ability to deliver the large 'change' for various 'projects'.
This suggests some kind of censorship going on here on NL. If that is the case, then it is unfortunate. NL will appear to be prostituting itself for patronage. This is a serious allegation that deserves explanation from the owner of this forum. Because If it is true then it means NL cannot be trusted and anonymity on this forum can no longer be guarranteed to political gangsters that rules the country at various levels
Politics › Re: The Shame of a nation. Nigeria's Petroleum Minister Allison-Madueke !!! by Pennywise(m): 5:14pm On Nov 04, 2011
@OP
The title of this thread takes a lot away from the thread. It should be reframed to reflect what it is truly abt which is Allison Diezani Madueke and the shame of a nation.

I read about this scandal a while back and I tot that our lawmakers will take note of it b4 confirming her as a minister. But they did not. And like a famous writer said he who the gods want to punish, they first make deaf. God is about to punish all the Nigerian lawmakers who confirmed Diezani minister of the FRN.

A lot was revealed about the same time regarding her purported educational qualifications that she acquired in the States. This woman does not have the intelligence and there is nothing in her background that qualifies her for that position. How can GEJ and his handlers be aware of this rot in his cabinet and do nothing. This infact is an impeacheable offence in a true democracy.
Politics › Re: Delta State House Of Assembly Threatens To Impeach Gov. Uduaghan by Pennywise(m): 4:40pm On Nov 04, 2011
I have never seen a Governor so unpopular in his own state. Roads and infrastructures in that state are in such terribly bad condition. Rather than blame criticisms on ethnic politics let Uduaghan tell the people why he has not been able to perform effectively as a Governor.
Politics › Re: The Shame of a nation. Nigeria's Petroleum Minister Allison-Madueke !!! by Pennywise(m): 2:47pm On Nov 04, 2011
A lot of pple look at GEJ and think he is a daft. I think not. He chose along with his wife to make a patently incompetent woman as a minister for the all important oil ministry so that they can have a direct control of our country's key resource. OBJ didnt need any disguise when he doubled for a long time as petroleum min bc he knew he could get away with it. This is Nigeria.

I am always amazed at how divorced women find husbands so easily in America where there are so many single never b4 married young women. Within a few months, she (Kim Khadershian) is married again- and this has nothing to do with her being a 'star'. Who is marrying these divorced women?

The green card part is not true in all cases. Secondly, making love is not a battle. If one is "doing" a lady with the intention of trying to show her who the boss is, then the person can go 2-24hours, but still would not be able to hit the right spot. there is nothing unnatural about a woman having more interest in s.ex than a man. If any man sees it as a declaration of war, then it is no longer fun but rather survival of the fittest, and before you know it, if the man keeps on getting defeated, his fallen ego might subject him to exhibiting erratic behaviours, followed by anger and violence.

Having s.ex can be fun and war at the same time. Even if u dont 'hit the spot', a sore pun.ny should put paid to all that urge.
Business › Re: NERC Gets Rid Of Meter Maintenance Fee by Pennywise(m): 2:56pm On Nov 02, 2011
A few years ago I had wanted to go to my local PHCN office and cause a major egbe over this matter. The plan was to seize the cashier and then wait for the invisible oga from above to come to her rescue. But everyone else was paying. Now thank God for this publication which I can now take with me. My coping mechanism was to stop looking at the invoice all together.
Family › Re: My by Pennywise(m): 2:21pm On Nov 02, 2011
The story is possible but extremely very unlikely. Nigerian men do not marry older women when there is no green card involved.

Having said that I still find the concept of a woman's libido being too much for a man to cope with rather hilarious.  My advice? See her excessive libido as a declaration of war on you and your male pride. If u keep this mentality for two weeks, she will run from your bedroom.
Romance › Re: Why Do Bad Girls Get Married Easier Than Good Girls? by Pennywise(m): 7:01pm On Nov 01, 2011
The trick is for the good girl to know when to say no. But if a good girl keeps saying yes, then automatically she becomes a bad girl. Really trickish. But the whole dating scenario gets further complicated with bad girls who know just how and when to play good. Sometimes they succeed and the poor guy ends up signing his life away.

Now a bad girl is not always one who sleeps around. A really bad girl may actually present a truely holy front. Like this one babe who didnt get a husband until she was almost 40. Then, a dashing gentleman with an excellent career came into her life and everybody was very happy and relieved. A few years down the road, the real Jezebel emerged, she successfully engineered his sack from work, then had thugs deal with husband and concerned neighbors b4 he got thrown out. Now most people think that if this guy had gone to Ojuelegba one quiet evening to pick a wife, his lot would have been much better off.

I personally think I have heard enuff of this good girl, bad girl talk. It is how she behaves on getting into the house that counts. Not where she has been or whom she has been with.
Family › Re: Married Men Only by Pennywise(m): 5:24pm On Nov 01, 2011
I was young (thankfully) and a student. She was faithful. I also found she could engage my restless mind for hours on end talking abt all kinds of things (she still does). She always seemed happy being with me (will never know why). At the time I was ignorant about the influence of money in relationships but so was she. These days 19yr old students (with bfs in tow) will do anything to get your attention (he looks comfy).

She had no real competition (I wasnt a rich student). Also I never thought marriage can get in the way of a robust fulfilled social life. So, why wait especially when u have the means. I paid for mine (very proudly).

Knowing all the things I know now about women, my social locus, I am thankful I dont have to chose a wife now or ever. I will make a complete mess of it like a friend who got married as an adult. grin

I am quite familiar with this kind of behaviour. But I will never know why some girls do it. If ur answer is no, then move along. Dont stay back and obstruct traffic! I particularly dislike hold ups and traffic jams. Infact if u hesitate I will help u make up ur mind as quickly as possible.
