Fernandez88: Hi nairalanders!!! Everythin is set 4 me to apply for the Transit visa in turkish embassy, Abuja, what I would like know is that, I got a mail frm EMU that the list of students would be sent to Turkish Embassy in Nicosia this week of 19 Nov. 2012 and later sent to Abuja during this as well, that I should book for appointment at the Embassy by week of 26 Nov. 2012. I hope the list would be First Batch Of Names for Spring 2013 intake. I got admitted to EMU last semester but circumstances occurred so I defferd the admission to Spring 2013. Anyone with fatal info should pls enlighten me on the fact that first time travellers to TRNC or Turkey as the case may be should book appointment at least A month to his/her travel date, is this true or false? Also, in the visa requirements, what's the differ b/t Admission and Acceptance Letter? And Notary Public in my area should certisfy my sponsorship letter, who are the embassy refering to as Notary Public? Tanx and kindly reply me asap!!!

Admission letter means you have been given admission to study in d university and acceptance letter means you have fulfilled all d requirements and have been fully accepted just like here in Nigeria you pay acceptance fee to show you have accepted the admission else you can't proceed to other aspect or get ur matt number.to ur second question,notary public is like a lawyer or I will say a lawyer.
In ur above mail you said you didn't go last time cus of sum circumstances and defer to this session,sorry to come into ur privacy can I know wht kind of circumstances?

wip7: I understand you perfectly. Just defer and reapply by January. Ensure you get new acceptance and new confirmation letters from us early enough. Ensure the names on your documents are same, no mistake with date of birth, make sure your name on your olevel result tallies with the name on your admission letter. These are some of the flimsy excuse the Turkish embassy gave us when will requested to know why genuine students are denied. At a point, we were told they have strong believe those they denied do not intend to study at TRNC but to use it as escape route.

Anyway visa is a privilege so if you are given by January that would be fine, before January hit me on email and we shall write a letter to the embassy again for you. If you are denied, you will be refunded be rest assure!

wip7: How do you know I have not attended to him nor follow up his issues? Be practical please, His case, has been answered and I have taken enough time to reply his emails. I have resolved and ensured over 25 visa denied cases have been reapproved by Turkish embassy, and those have followed the suggestions given to them. I am trained scientist that works with rules, prescriptions and procedures. I will not repeat nor attend further to patient asking same questions all the time without taking earlier given prescription. I have policy and do not misconstrue that for something else.



Fees will be refunded only if you are denied visa and is verified by EMU. EMU is located in TRNC not Canada nor UK. Each university/country plays according to a set policies by the board of directors or governmental chieftain.

Our University (EMU), refund all genuine visa denial cases. If a student is denied and we verified from the embassy and we try to resolve the denial cases and proofed negative, within weeks we refund the concerned student. This semester, we had 27 cases from our records denied and only 4 cases as i know have not be re-issued and were asked to re-apply in 6months. From our meetings and information from the denied cases, most are due to students problems and some Nigerian factor as they would say. The remaining cases have offered to re-apply soon and 2 seek for refund and one has been refunded just 8days after her application was reviewed and one still thinking to seek for refund or re-apply.

We have started admission process for Spring semester (Feb 2013, all interested applicants can now apply. EMU will not be held responsible for an students that paid tuition fees into agents bank account. All interested students are advise to pay tuition fees directly into EMU bank account. Please note, agent/s cant influence your admission or scholarship process at EMU don't be deceived.

hello fellow naira lander, i just experience these and felt like sharing it here so as none will fall a victim.i was at the Turkish embassy on Wednesday and came across two guys,one saying he got a mail from the embassy telling him he has be schedule for interview but have to pay the visa application fee before the interview and the other saying he got a mail from EMU giving him directions on which flight to book and that he will be pick from the airport wen he get to ercan but he have to fill one form which he showed me and have to make payment in advance in order to enable them pick him from the airport.I told them is a fraudulent message and gave them emu alumni office address in abuja and contact number so they can go and verify for themselves if they dont believe.left for them to do as i say or fall victim.

please to all intending student of EMU,airport pickup is free and to all intending to study in Cyprus or turkey please be informed you dont pay visa application fee before the interview but during the interview.



Wish you all that got the visa success in your academic endeavors and be wiser when you get there.

wip7: ANOTHER BATCH OF NAMES SENT TO EMBASSY TODAY-EMU

To all EMU prospective students, our last batch for this year supposed to be sent to embassy yesterday but we are taking huge time and patience to ensure all names are not missing. For those that have received the confirmation letters since and names not sent to Abuja, by the end of today we shall send all names to Abuja. For some of our students that Turkish embassy informed their details have not been sent to them and their documents have been taken, we have resent all your details to the embassy and for those denied visa, our rector will be meeting the Cyprus president to intervene this afternoon and i shall inform you when to re-book for your visa.

Today is the last batch to Embassy and Today is the last date to receive payment from International students from Africa. For all that have received their visas, kindly update us your travelling details so we can make arrangement to pick you up at the nearest Airport.

My candid advice for those new students like me based on wht i have gathered so far from this forum,please have a good sponsor back here in Nigeria at least someone that can pay your fees and accommodation and i believe none will regret their decision going to NC....

Why is almost every new student asking about work,work,work.
According to wip,schooling abroad is not easy ª̳͡ηð if U̶̲̥̅̊ don't have good sponsor its advisable to stay back. It might be hard for sumone to have a hob there doesn't mean it will for you ª̳͡ηð vice versa as well.so prepare your mind for the worst ª̳͡ηð if its easy for you when you get there,praise God else take it as it is.

Go to EMU website you will find the address, google Turkish embassy address in Abuja you will get it...sometime you guys amazes me with sort of questions you ask and you are sure you are a student? and thats why i only answer questions not just typing pool

@wip, yes we are student and i ask not as if i have not gone to the websites but just want to be sure the ones i saw are the right one.
At times when we ask question doesn't mean we are not wise or educated a little but to be sure cus sum of us here are new to all dis....one can only know more wen ask and stop making sum of us feel like asking sum questions is showing hw stupid we are cus sinceerly your comments at times make me not to ask sum tins i wanted to cus u might end up making odas tink am foolish and i know am speaking the minds of sum nairalanders here .

@wip ª̳͡ηð all that can help,please can I get detailed address of EMU ª̳͡ηð turkey embassy in nigeria cus the bank request for it to prepare the letter.

hycode: Penroll if time is still on your side take it to the ministry,if not go to the interview like that.Authentication is just a couple of signatures at the back of your documents both photocopy and originals,so no alterations.

A girl going to Emu in my front got her visa without havin any of her document authenticated,but am sure u might not have her faith as she told me boldly that she was goin to tell the consular when asked that she tinks its not important, me self fear that kind confidence.
